UPDATE:Hi Everyone, I got back late tonight from Las Vegas, Nevada. I think I gained 15 pounds from buffets and coffee  Some quick updates for you.While I was in Las Vegas, was able to meet some very interesting community leaders, made new friends, and possible partners/participants of CannabisCoin WOOT! WOOT!. I Will be frequently visiting the state to have more meets regarding Medical Marijuana and CannabisCoin. Next Date Oct 3rd-5th in Las Vegas. Future meetings will be announced but we will keep the other parties identities private from now on. This is because other coins and their supporters are watching and are contacting the parties while I am enroute for the meeting. Funny huh? Not cool. Lots of Action going on in the background. Some awesome progress with the CannabisCoin Wallet. Peter will announce the updates and changes very soon! - My meeting with media consultant went very well and we will be doing a video shoot regarding CannabisCoin. Starting this week. - Meeting with local partners and team tomorrow to go over more important information for the upcoming events. More on that as it comes! No more spoilers! - We have also been meeting extensively regarding strategies and plans within the core team to make sure CannabisCoin supporters are being heard and will be able to see history in the making! Good news everyone, we are now on version 0.8.6.3. This is not a major release and if you already have a working client installed you can skip this one, however if you are a new user or are unable to connect then this new release is for you.
What we have done is created a DNS seeder for the CannabisCoin network. When the client first connects to the network it asks the seeder for a list of other clients to connect to. Without a DNS seeder you will have problems connecting which is why there was addnode information shared on the first post in this thread, those addnode entries were a way of manually specifying other clients to connect to. We can now do away with addnode information as clients will now automatically connect to the network.
On top of this a small list of pnSeeds have also been defined in the client source code, these are simply other clients to connect to if the DNS seeder is down, it is like defining addnode information in the source code. This update is the first in many to help develop the CannabisCoin client and network.
Small point to note, the dark interface wallet has been retired. Alternative or improved interfaces will no doubt be returned to in the future.
In case you missed it I recently joined the CannabisCoin development team, I am the lead developer from Feathercoin where I still spend a lot of my time.

Someone had said that the coin is tax free. Well, the answer to that is in the USA it IS taxable ONLY when sold.
In the USA, the crypto coins fall under the jurisdiction of the IRS and FinCEN.
FinCEN ruled that if you mine the coin and sell/use it for personal use (i.e. buy goods/services with the coin or via converted coin to usd) no license is needed.
All other types of xfers requires Money Transfer Business license (i.e. yu would be treated as a trader and would need to be licensed like exchanges are).
As for the IRS; income from the coin is taxable ONLY when it is sold and is treated like gambling income.
I've researched this as I am a tax preparer.
I suspect the EU has similar laws.

That is aiming rather unrealistically HIGH, isn't it?
I would like to see a realistic price projection w/ commentary. I AM very interested in this niche-market coin, because it is way better than the other two similar space.

There is currently ~8.5 BTC holding our coin in a range 1005-1295!! I have never seen anything like this before!!
I don't know if that is good or bad for future price appreciation!! Any theories what is going on there(bittrex)??

Interesting project gents, have me wondering about the following:
Considering that Bergstake is a significant innovation, sitting/waiting on it for two years of PoW is largely unattractive (in my mind).
Would you consider activating Bergstake sooner, perhaps having a stage of concurrent PoW and PoS?
Once POW ends and Bergstake starts, it will be impossible to obtain more Bergstake. So whatever the distribution looks like at that point, will continue forever. The two years of mining coupled with the ICO, should have the effect of distributing the Bergstake as widely as possible. Think of the bergstake as an out-of-the money call option, or lottery ticket, that you get for free each time you solve POW. ICO investors will also get Bergstake. In the limit as as POW time gets closer to 0 , the coin basically becomes a 100% pre-mine, which we do not want. Interesting idea regarding concurrent PoW / PoS , would have to flush this out. Also, will the ICO allow participation for someone that does not have a local BTC wallet? I only ever use web wallets for BTC, and the automagic distribution of BRO to ICO buyers sounds to me as depending on access to one's BTC keys. Please elaborate.

@myagui - yes, the basic method would depend on a access to local BTC keys. we are working on a solution that would enable the use of web wallets. if anyone has some suggestions we would love to hear. bounties will be available. Especially with Snowden revelations, we here in the USA know they can access our PC any time they like. I know, there are solutions, but those are NOT available to most people.Learning curve is just too big to overcome. I had 13 BTC stolen from my computer back when it was about 30bux. I ONLY trust exchanges, and BLOCKCHAIN. So, are you saying I cannot participate in ICO if I don't have a wallet on my computer prior to October 4th, when the ICO comes??? SHIT MAN, THAT SUX , if in fact true. I have NOT been this excited about a new coin since BTCD went public. I have been getting "my ducks in a row" since I first saw this thread. Now it looks like I can't participate early.... PLEASE tell me it ain't so!!  ~darylluke. |

Hey guys we still have work to do as a community... There are still lots of great exchanges that have not added Litecoindark yet so please help and tweet exchanges with add requests... To make this easier I have created the "Twitter Barrage" over on the Reddit where you will have a list you can simply make a tweet or select one from the list and copy and paste it into all the different exchange twitter accounts that are listed there... http://www.reddit.com/r/Litecoindark/comments/2g82ux/twitter_barrage/Also if you know of any other good exchanges you think should be added to that list please post it in the comments section and I will add it... You will find it very easy to barrage these exchanges with add requests and you can hit them all and it only takes a couple minutes of copy and paste, rinse and repeat!! This is just one way we can help our coin and community grow so please hit them hard, hit them often, and don't stop till we are able to remove their exchange from the list!! You do NOT seem to concerned that our coin is not yet listed on BITTREX. Do you know what this long delay to get listed is all about? You do realize that the longer you wait, the BIGGER will be the DUMP from those miners now mining the coin, don't you??? You are NOT doing anybody any good by delaying for so long. "Waiting to hear back from bittrex" tells us nothing of value. It just sounds like you are not concerned and don't even care. Please explain. ~darylluke.

**There is a Dutch exchange that lists their coins there in I believe 9 different currencies. They are just about to list BLACKCOIN there in those pairs. How about we get OUR coin listed there?

If any of you postulating here that BTC price drop is folks getting nervous about 2Gen coins taking away from the leaders, BTC & LTC, then please post your links to support that!! Otherwise it is a great theory, and nothing more. What I just stated is backed up by facts.Do your own DD on it. OVER 60% of the outflows of BTC-->fiat are coming from Chinese investors last 36 hours.
