How to obtain you bitcointalk uid number
Go to any your post and click to your nickname. You will be redirected to bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=XXXXX, where XXXXX is your bitcointalk uid number.

In one week after enrolling you will be paid automatically (if you keep our signature and have new posts).
If you change or remove signature, even for a couple of hours, you have to start again: wait one week for the next payment, start post new messages, etc.

It's not harder than check PP or CC transaction. You will see the transaction in your wallet instantly. Or you may develop a special software to accept in automatic mode (generate uniq incoming address for every client etc).

You may open http://blockchain.info/ and follow recent transaction. Just select any transaction from "Latest Transactions" and refresh page in 5-10 min to see how many confirmations are done. In your case 1 confirmation is enough.
For example mixing service https://blockchain.info/wallet/send-shared/ require 0 confirmations for payment under 10 BTC (about $8,000)
We require 1 confirmation for payments under 25 BTC.

Just create bitcoin wallet and try to send some btc. You will see - transactions are instant. The first confirmation received in minutes if payer pays a small fee. In case of troubles double-spend alert will appear quite fast too.

With bitcoin you don't need external storage instead of your cold wallet. You may use hardware wallet, or network-disconnected pc with armory installed. For your security you might put usb stick in bank's safe with your encrypted wallet. The benefice of bitcoin - is only you control your money.

You actually don't need to wait 6 confirmation. One confirmation is enough for your purpose. It usually takes several minutes. You may start show instantly with 0 confirmations, ant stop it if double-spend detected. But organization of double-spend attack is very unlikely in your case. So don't worry and start accept bitcoins. The advantages are obvious - no chargebacks, very low commissions, no agents, no problem to cashout, etc.

The problem is bank can't work with bitcoins like with fiat money. In case of bitcoin it can't lend the same money several times (what actually do all banks). That is why bitcoin system do not need a bank service, that is why banks not interested in bitcoin.

The large size of wallet.dat is not a problem for bitcoind, you should use a separate address for every payment.
There are no 'delete address' option in standard bitcoind command list. However some services (like our) require bitcoin address to be deleted. You may save all private keys of unspent transactions and import them to the new wallet.
