241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LIM] LimeCoin X11 Algo | Now on EXCHANGE¡¡¡ 0.0002BTC per LIM on: April 10, 2014, 01:38:49 PM
Guys...
I am trying to give this coin a try. No matter whether i point it to Minep. It or OmarG's pool. I get difficulty of 0 and just keeps getting HW errors.

Other pool on same config works fine.

Any ideas what can be the issue?

244  Other / MultiBit / BitcoinQT to MultiBit on: April 09, 2014, 07:52:46 PM
Hi,
I wanted to move from BitCoinQT client to MultiBit. So here is what i did

1: Iimported the BitCoinwallet to BlockChain Info
2: downloaded backup of wallet from BlockChain Info
3: Created new wallet in MultiBit
4: Followed Instruction on BlockChain Info and imported private keys in Multibit & let it sync with network
5: Created a new receive address in Multibit and send coins from Blockchain Info to this new address in Multibit.

Now the main questions are:

1: How can i transfer recieve address from BitCoinQT client to Multibit?
2: Because i have quite a few entries in receiving address, When i create a new receive address, How do i know which new address multibit has created for me?

TIA

Iru

Are there any other alternative to this site which offers similar functionality of switching coins from web frontend?

But you can change the algorithm on the go. You do not need to kill the coin, you just need to modify the code. Many coins algorithm changed, but these changes do not result in the loss of previously mined coins.

I agree with this. We spent lot of hours mining coin even when others were posting that its a scam coin etc. To me personally, if i loose the coins i have already mined than i will not mine this coin anymore even with the new algo as the Dev's would have lost all the credibility in my eyes. You need to support the miners who supported you at the start rather than telling that all the time and effort they spent initially to support you is all in vain.

I would appreciate if one of the Dev can put some clarity on this
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AUTO SWITCH] ScryptGuild (BTC Guild) Beta - Multipool Done Right on: March 29, 2014, 05:27:15 PM
It's the intensity that's causing the rejects.  Try lowering it.

M

Yep that did it ...I forgot I copied from the LTC wiki i=20 ...my old settings i=17 gives me 0% rejects (so far) Smiley  ...Thanks!

Any chance you know what the Difficulty should be set to on the Dashboard interface for the miners?

Cheers

Depends on your hash rate.  My suggestion is to leave it alone and check your miners to see what the vardiff switched it to.  Then set your miners to that value.

M
In regards to your point above, My Rig is 2.5  Mh/s and i selected starting difficulty to 128. Vardiff has not changed it what so ever. Generally on other pools, Vardiff sets it to around 256 or 512

250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AUTO SWITCH] ScryptGuild (BTC Guild) Beta - Multipool Done Right on: March 29, 2014, 04:16:51 PM
Hi Guys,
I have Switched my rig to ScryptGuild to give it a try. The problem i am having is of high reject rate. Around 8% average.
What the normal reject rates other are getting on this pool? I am using same settings on other pool and my reject ratio was around 1%.
Is there any other EU or Asian server i can try to connect to see if that helps?

Thanks

Have already submitted a request to Cryptsy to see if they can add this.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New profit-switching mining pool with nightly bonus payout-- CoinSolver.com on: March 27, 2014, 11:51:49 AM
So, I'll chime in on a few of the recent posts/questions...

We seem to always be mining coin X.  The way this is shown on the website is a bit misleading currently, and is scheduled for an update.  This is because we mine multiple coins at the same time, but the "currently mining" box can only show one.  So, while we've actually been mining coin X, its not the only one.  (And you'd think we have an agenda seeing as the website always displays either DOPE or POT coins.)  So, for the time being, you can check out the coins page to see all the coins being mined at any given time (highlighted in green).  Our API will also be exposing a getpoolstats method which will show the specific coins being mined, as well as the percentage hashrate being directed to them.

Yes, our payout rate yesterday appeared to be about .004, which certainly isn't ideal, but it was about the same as the other major switching pools.  Almost exactly the same as clever, waffle, etc, actually.  So I'm not sure why there are statements like 'other pools are doing better than us'.  Further to this, we (unfortunately) had a bit of a clerical slipup yesterday which caused us to mine SPA coin when we intended to remove it (due to its hard fork switching to scrypt-n).  Had this error not occurred, I suspect we would have done a far sight better.
As I've said before, we're working on providing a running list of daily profitability for ease of comparison.  This is a high priority for me, as it will help clarify some concerns and conversations out there.  Its taken longer than hoped due to recent events, so to help give a bit of data to work with, I did post the past few days performance on our site.

Finally, to answer iru786's question, yes we pay old balances after there has been no activity for a while.  However, we also are happy to make payments upon request.  Ideally we would like to have a 'pay me now' button on the website, but with the chance for abuse, especially given the recent spike in unfriendly traffic, we've yet been able to come up with a comfortable way to achieve this.  I'm certainly open to suggestions on this topic, btw.

Hi Mate,
Thanks for answering my question. I have sent you a PM requesting a manual payment for the address i was mining with.

Thanks

Guys,
What happens to your balance on the pool if you don't mine there anymore? Does it get paid out after few days?

Any plans on getting it listed on other exchanges? That will help it get more coverage

I am supporting this coin as well.... Doing SOLO as well as mining on the pool. But a P2Pool would be great.

HI,
I have currently switched my miner to the site to see how it compares to other multipools.
What i would like to see is "Your Estimated BTC/24Hours" or "Your Estimated BTC/Daily" info.

Thanks
