241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Large DROP in BTC PRICE can be caused by acceptance Amazon.com or other .com? on: February 02, 2014, 10:57:18 PM

Someone should make a list of all the things you think people should do, but you don't do yourself.

242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the chances BTC is replaced by something better soon? on: February 02, 2014, 10:54:36 PM
The truth whether people want to accept it or not is that IF Bitcoin was released today in the Alternative coin section nobody would give a crap about it. There already are much better coins than Bitcoin. Next coin for one completely pisses over Bitcoin in terms of new abilities soon to be implemented.

Is this true? Anybody else?

the proog of stake means you get coins for holding them not mining.Transactionsa could be run by a phone cpu.
Ive just watched the video. watch it urself 3 mins.
I dont understand how things like Dropbox can be integrated?
243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Large DROP in BTC PRICE can be caused by acceptance Amazon.com or other .com? on: February 02, 2014, 08:14:01 PM
So can BTC price be changed because of wider acceptance?
It's really hard to say what BTC<->fiat bridge services are doing with the money. Intuitively, you'd probably assume the price to drop when major companies start taking in $hundreds of thousands in BTC and receiving cash for it. We don't know how many people buy BTC to replace what they spend, and we don't know how many new BTC users originate from merchant adoption. Way too many variables and unknowns to even begin to try understanding, IMO.

ok so i wanna obtain BTC anyway.Ive found a few mining contract companies.

How do I pay to them without getting scammed? What contract is best?

You can safely assume ALL of them are scams.

why? (I meant companies like progressivebtcmining.com)

I dont know about feature having crucial edge over Bitcoin, definitively nothing used in all altcoins up to now

a coin not wasting all computing power and using it for developing things like I posted here. You cant name it yet.It names you.(joke hahah)

246  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your answer to "Bitcoin is a Ponzi Scheme" ? on: February 02, 2014, 04:45:10 PM
It is a bit of a ponzi scheme though isn't it? When the price rises the early adopters get rich at the expense of the new comers. Those early adopters then get to enslave the rest of us. The coins they bought at a $1 or even less are now worth over $800. They don't even have to spend whole coins anymore. Fractions of a coin can buy you a lot of a person's time. The early adopters are now spending a lot of their coins on bitcoin propaganda because they know that is the best way to increase their wealth.

The coin's goal isnt really to just replace the dollar etc.Otherwise it would be that everyone could replace their currency for it always for same value and mining would be just enough for transactions right?

It shant be called "Ponzi Scheme."
Its a entirely new scheme so just call it the Nakamoto Scheme
247  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: PETAHASH ASIC offer!!! on: February 02, 2014, 03:29:51 PM
.00018 petahash = 180 gigahash. According to the calculator at http://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty, 180 GH will earn about $1.39 per hour. I don't think this is a good investment...

thank you. problem solved Cheesy
248  Bitcoin / Mining / petahash asic offer: SOLVED on: February 02, 2014, 02:48:58 PM
Wow a petahash!!!This is the best I can find right? Ive never bought anything BTC related but this seems like a huge number.

an offer available to buy at least one 0.00018 PETAhash/s contract for an hour for 8 usd or 0.01 BTC

i dont know how many of these offers to get.How can i calculate profit per hour instead of MONTH like all calcs do?
249  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your answer to "Bitcoin is a Ponzi Scheme" ? on: February 02, 2014, 02:36:55 PM
Satoshi was arrested, and never seen again. That alone should tell you if it's a ponzi scheme. >_>

what is the source?
250  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best bitcoin contract right now?can you recommend a contract please? on: February 02, 2014, 02:07:11 PM
It will be very difficulty to find btc mining profitable at this stage, no matter you buy hardware now, make a pre-order on hardware or buy some cloud hashrate...

i found an hour of 180 gh/s for 8 usd.

all calcs calculate in months not hours. So I dont know if this is profitable.(How fast does difficulty change? i know its every 2016 blocks but cudnt find more info)

what is the best pool?(according to chart: paypershare is best?)

258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY ARE WE wasting so much computing power?Cant we get coins for helping science on: February 01, 2014, 11:35:42 PM
Well you keep working on that. I had a crazy idea today where people would just get paid for whatever they really wanted to do with their lives no matter productive or useless it was. Seems maybe there is room for that in the world. But if someone can write a program to solve things like mortality and women they can get great funding as is, it is a shortage of something beyond computing power is my take. I could be wrong.

this idea is crazy compared to today. It possible if food electrvity air = free "Well you keep working on that" too Cheesy  Wink

according to history books people in medieval ages lived very short cuz of all what they ate breathed etc.Maybe someday mortality will be solved?

back on topic can you ask coin creators too for this idea? if its possible?
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY ARE WE wasting so much computing power?Cant we get coins for helping science on: February 01, 2014, 11:16:55 PM
Well ok i want to solve mortality. Or maybe women.

Toss up there. In any case if i could do that with my pc i would. Whom shall i ask is writing the software?

the coim creators

enough people tell them they will do it
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY ARE WE wasting so much computing power?Cant we get coins for helping science on: February 01, 2014, 11:07:08 PM
You can. You just have to support gridcoin.

Also ripple works with worldcommunitygrid.

Bitcoin won't change, cause it would make asics obvious ...

gridcoin doesnt allow you to choose what problem you want to solve
