Yeah!
Thats what I mean.
There are signature campaign like dedice,  bit-x. .. Where buyer could make 0.5BTC easy in one month.

There is a crackdown ongoing. Any account trying to post only to increase count and income is likely to get banned.
242  Other / Meta / Re: Marcotheminer the Ban Evader on: March 08, 2015, 11:17:35 AM
This account was sold by Marco to a user and he is also my friend! Now I am waiting for confirmation from him! I will keep you updated!

P.S. I am talking to Marco via IM and he is watching these threads.

If you buy an account you should (actually must) post an address to proove you're the new owner of the account. At least that's what I do. But this ban evader didn't do that. Also he kept the bitcoin address on his profile Grin Grin Why the hell you do that?

It may be that the new owner didn't want others to notice that the account has been bought. I agree with others saying that Marco won't be foolish enough to evade a ban.

Looks like it's been sold to me.
You should sign an address Grin Grin

Nice catch!

BadBear must be delighted that PD campaign didn't start.

The main problem is due to campaigns which pay based on post count as it is too tempting to post to increase income. If the forum sets up rules which doesn't allow this then spam will reduce significantly.

I think there should be a sub board for signature campaigns, and they will follow strict rules like they can only ask for a maximum of, say, 20 posts/month and they can't provide bonus or preferential treatment based on post count. The campaign managers would be made accountable if they fail to enforce the rules.

Can I please get a TL;DR, I thought Marcotheminer was a good community member?

Same, hope this is for a legit reason, he had positive trust and everything.
Trust in this forum means NOTHING if you are allowed to trade accounts. End of story.
PS. My proposal to fix trust in the trust rating - remove all trust whenever there is evidence the account was traded, or ban trading accounts (not possible).

For this reason account selling should be banned. Sure, account trading will continue but the buyer now knows there will be no protection and account can be easily repossessed which should decrease trading. It will also prevent confusions like this one as sellers would be wary of their sold accounts getting banned which would ban their main accounts too.
245  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Hero Account with Green Trust on: March 07, 2015, 11:23:57 AM
The only reason anyone would pay extra for green trust is to scam, so it is a good practice to insist on a signed message from an old address even when dealing with a member with good trust rating.

Maybe a legit purpose to buy an account is the signature campaigns, no one "sane" will buy an account only for scam the other forum users, because everyone should use an escrow (for prevent any scam attempt).

You don't need to pay extra for a green trust account. The signature campaigns pay based on rank only.

Please PM with ur offers.
0.35BTC is a very low price for this!!

Prices have fallen a lot. There was some excitement over the PD campaign but that never happened.

What do u mean?
With the account u could get ur invested money just in one month.
Price is cheap already.
Ty

Its supply and demand. Regardless of how much money can be made since their are other sellers taking much less you can't get this amount.

PS: I'm trying to find someone who can manage it, but that's hard. peligro haven't replied me on pm where I asked his email to add in to the sheet, thus I've decided he's not interested, Mitchell declined. However I might find someone soon, I really try.

Regards,
Alex

I replied, there seems to be a miscommunication. Anyway, I am PMing you again.

I think its past pay date. Would love to continue.

None of them are any good. Its pointless to try mining anyway. Get him a graphics card and some games, he will love you Grin

I think 21st is the day of closure, is it not? Maybe alex needs to pay one of us for running the campaign as he seems to be very busy! Grin. I am in for the next term too if Alex is continuing this amazing campaign.

Edit: Post Count: 657
He has asked me in the past to handle it for him, but I had to decline. Signature campaigns are quite hard to manage and you need someone that has time for it and I time is something I don't have right now.

I had offered, and he was keen to let me run the campaign but not give the payments. I quoted a price for my service but didn't get a reply since. Its a small campaign so there is not much need to have a dedicated manager only to update the spreadsheet except for the occasional quality check. By and large all the participants are decent except for sir.humus who very surprisingly has kept his place by posting in some giveaway and betting threads.

I think its past pay date. Would love to continue.

254  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin investment ? Cloud mining ? on: February 18, 2015, 02:22:52 PM
Anyone who wastes money on cloudmining deserves the losses they'll get.

Do you say the same thing about exchanges?

Yes, as exchanges should never be used to store money. deposit, trade and then withdraw.
255  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTER.com hacked - 7170 BTC stolen [DON'T KEEP YOUR MONEY ON AN EXCHANGE] on: February 18, 2015, 02:19:37 PM
i have a feeling if they open up to withdraw alts everyone is going to withdraw asap which I suspect will spell the end of BTER

You'd think so, wouldn't you?
But something tells me that some people will still trust them enough to trade there, and keep their coins there.
BTER's like a cat. 9 lives. We'll see if this was the 9th or not.

They will open only for withdrawals. The exchange is finished as of now. I assume they will likely allow some investment from VCs and restart later.

They have said they will start arranging withdrawal after their holidays which are till 24th. So wait for a week at least before hoping for any funds.
257  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTER.com hacked - 7170 BTC stolen [DON'T KEEP YOUR MONEY ON AN EXCHANGE] on: February 17, 2015, 01:20:52 PM
What a bad handling of delicate situation! No update, no word for over 2 days, nothing! I mean Jesus, there is at least 7000 BTC worth of ALTs in their wallets. That is other peoples' money and they don't write a single word for over 2 days!

You should start entertaining the possibility that they are going to keep the alts. The may be trying to sell them as we speak.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does anyone prevent from doing this? on: February 17, 2015, 01:19:05 PM
The nodes can't decide anything. Its the miners who can decide which transaction to use.

The attack is instead possible if the government instead manages to bribe or blackmail the biggest mining pools.
259  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTER.com hacked - 7170 bitcoins stolen on: February 17, 2015, 11:00:42 AM
I never heard of this website before to be total honest with you , what are they ? some kinda of Bitcoin exchange website or something ?
If that's the case how come that the Bitcoin price didn't drop , not even a little , it seems stable those last couple of days .

~ Madness
It dropped from 265 to 230 after hack if you didn't know.

The drop was due to a natural correction, though the fear helped.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the elites plan when they get back from the island? on: February 17, 2015, 09:38:37 AM
Don't expect anything. They wanted a holiday on an island and that was all. If there was indeed any need to take a decision it could have easily been arranged over video conference.
