The only reason for Monero to survive is the network effect, like Bitcoin, it's a first generation old blockchain tech.
Monero has been surpassed by many projects in terms of scalability, security, and features. MSR, LOKI, DERO, even PIVX and DASH are all examples of vastly superior coins that will take the crown from Monero. Many build on top of Monero foundations, but where Monero stops, they keep innovating and preparing for real adoption.
In short, Monero is your wiggling rusty beloved oldtimer, (some of) the competition are high performance luxury sports cars. Sure there will be some love left for the oldtimers, but real world usage and adoption lies in the future with innovation, not in the past.
Jeez - DASH? Haha! High performance luxury sportcars? Deluded, dude. Monero overtook Dash an age ago and I have not actually seen a lot of the others you mention - I don't look that far down Cryptomarket cap. Monero's not a BItcoin clone 'old tech' coin either, do some proper research if you want to troll, kwukduck. Long time no see. You haven't been missed. And you're a but late for the troll season, too - losing your touch, I guess. Bless. Bitconnect was once a top 10 coin, peercoin was once in the top 10, rank doesn't mean shit. The truth is Monero is a dinosaur coin while other projects are developing fast with much better technology and are able to scale for mass adoption. I truly feel sorry for the suckers that will be left holding worthless bags of moneroshit.

MY friend made over 70 thousand mining raven coin before it got listed on coinmarketcap. You can still make a lot of profit but you have to mine the coins the moment they are released and are still unknown. So you have to do a lot of research to find them.

Bill Gates is not a good man, don't let his "charitable foundation" fool you. Him ans his buttbuddy Warren Buffet have an allegiance with the central banks and stand to lose a lot of money if bitcoin falls.

Panic sellers got played by the whales and sold off their coins like idiots. There are a lot of BIG investors and countries and getting in on bitcoin now. We will not see bitcoin below 6k levels again.

to get dumped and forgotten. Not all of course. And I cannot wait for Mcafee to eat his own dick on live television. 2020 will be the best year.
Calm your ass down. If you had some actual patience you would see your investments turn around. Crypto markets are volatile, go back and look at the past crashes. We always rebound and come back stronger.

about 10,000 phillipinos, 8000 indonesians, and 4000 nigerians consider bitcointalk their place of work.

Satoshi didn't think bitcoin mining would take up this much power. He probably expected it to be more of a home mining thing instead of being on an industrial level.
either way we need to get serious about limiting energy usage because the Earth is in imminent danger because of climate change! We don't have much time left before humanity is doomed.

Dumped my bag of this shitcoin today, this coin is going to die out. Convert to BTC, you don't wanna be the left holding bags of this shitcoin.

A lot of people are new here, I've seen coins in the past that used to be in the top 10 fall to basically nothing. I don't think Monero is anywhere close to BTC. Most experts consider monero to be a shitcoin. There seems to be good support around $20 levels at least so it may be awhile before it goes down to single digits.

Are we still not rich?
Well being a millionaire these days isn't rich. Have to be a billionaire now if you want to be considered truly wealthy.

It was knocking about the cypherpunk mailing list for a couple months before launch. The only people who could possibly have been interested at that time. Anyone who was anyone could have mined and contributed from day one or even before.
That doesn't make it a fair launch. Satoshi was able to mine one million bitcoins himself. I'm a crypto supporter but the fact that one guy owns such a large percentage of bitcoins scares off new investors. This whole thing looks like a giant ponzi scheme from the outside.
