Umm why the hell would Evan bring back the reference node, do you have a reason or fact as to why he would or are you talking out of your ass again? The reference node was always a stop gap and the team spent a long time optimizing the code to remove it as decentralization was always the end goal. Guess what, its gone and we are moving forward. You can keep harping on about something happened over 1.5 years ago....you look like an idiot haha

I think you better quickly go drum up some support for MuNer0...maybe you can teach them how to use a command line interface??

I'm not sure you get that people who can use command line supporting Monero is a good thing. A coin whose support base is a bunch of ignorant, greedy, and technically inept blow-hards, is not.

By the way, Illodin, check the text under my avatar; that's the qualifications for an e-cash and dash doesn't meet any of them.

And Evan, aren't you going comment on x-11's flaws? Someone went to the trouble of pointing them out for you, at least you could acknowledge the effort.

Then thats the only community you will have - a very "select" few people who can use a command line....and that's where you will stay...think small, stay small....in Monero's case the proof is in the pudding.

Again with Muner0 has anonymity as its ONLY feature you are trying to market (that you stole from ByteCoin)....it takes ALOT more than that to make a currency....think small, stay small.....

Whales are accumulating and holding the price down....

Seriously though once ZeroCash is released Monero will most likely be abandoned. Most of the Monero dev's are part time volunteers and have other projects they can roll onto.

Zero Cash will most likely beat Monero to a GUI as well.

IMO Monero was way over priced for something that takes command lines to work, no official GUI, blockchain bloat problems and hardly any infrastructure in place.

sigh another Monero shill thread.....I know desperation is setting in, your money is going down the drain as we speak...

Just to give you a heads up, being anonymous is NOT the only aspect which will make or break a crypto currency. Monero tries to check that box (albeit with alot of bloat and complex command lines)...it fails miserably everywhere else. Including probably the most toxic and shameful community there is in crypto.

Monero will NEVER be a top 5 currency...the sooner Monero shills learn that, the sooner these shitty desperation threads will end.

Creating a DASH proposal that get's funded takes 3 things:

1. a good description of your initiative
2. a place to lobby for votes with high concentration of masternode owners
3. technical knowledge how to submit your proposal

Create your proposal with Dashwhale to benefit from:

- our new proposal generator to submit a valid proposal without any pain
- your own proposal page e.g. www.dashwhale.org/p/core-team (proposal details, reddit style discussion & direct voting)
- high amount of masternode owners getting aware of your proposal

How do i create my proposal with Dashwhale?

- use our proposal generator or just enter as URL www.dashwhale.org/p/PROPOSAL-NAME while you submit your proposal
- 15-60 minutes after submission, your proposal appears on Dashwhale.org and you are able to claim the proposal ownership
- as the proposal owner, you are highlighted in discussion and you can enter the proposal title & description. You will also be able post progress reports and documents soon.

Could Full-Node Incentive Help Solve the Blocksize Debate?

Dash Masternodes discussed as the solution to bitcoin!

I wish crypto would be a nicer place which fostered collaboration, sharing and general good will between different coins and technologies. What ever happened to giving someone a pat on the back and saying good job on trying to further this ground breaking technology, knowing that for something in such its infancy, can never be perfect initially.

Instead trolls from other coins, including their developers love to spread hate, bitterness and focus on something that happened years ago that really has ZERO bearing on the solutions we have today and nor will it in the future. And when specifically for Dash, when there is only a single point of contention, repeat and repeat again, I mean seriously dont you have anything better to do with your lives...You only live once and you trolls love to live it like its groundhog day. Not to mention the majority of the community does not care about it, you had your chance to buy it when it was stupidly cheap, if you didn't, then build a bridge and move on. I can only imagine the grudges (AdamWhite, IceBreaker, Smoothie, Smooth) you would hold against your families if they did something wrong, you would remind them every day of their lives?

I guess its just something other coins and their supporters need to do to fill the void when their coins are boring, stagnant and not going anywhere. Maybe in the hope that it will ruin someone else's great work in the hope they can gain a few dollars. How selfish and greedy. Why not think of the bigger picture? If we all banded together, the probability of being able to have main stream crypto market penetration would be even greater, and hence crypto in general would be worth alot more.

Masternode count is still going steadily upward at a very fast rate.

3132!!

We will hit 3500 Masternodes alot faster than I expected.

I'm just going to throw one more idea out there and then I'm off.

How about some trusted member of the testing team lodge a proposal to fund a masternode or two to reward the testers! Sure the rewards won't be anything like last month's proposal but, it may provide some small incentive and also may be worth quite a lot more in the future.

One way of providing more incentive perhaps would be to have a lottery among testers, so that instead of lots of tiny payouts, all testers are in with a chance of one large payout, or a few payouts.

Then there would always be at least some funds to incentivise testing and the masternode network would be supported at the same time.
I like the idea to support testing.  Why are we tying up 1000 coins forever?  Why not just set a 20 coins/month budget?  Or some reasonable number that makes sense.  Just payout the participants with a lottery like you suggest or split it up.

We really need something much more extensive for testing. I want to make a cluster on AWS, that all core team members have access to. We can run a few hundred masternodes using this cluster, do scripted updates and test various network issues, etc. Then at the end of testing, we could even scale the cluster to 3000 masternodes to make sure it works at the levels we're using for mainnet. We could even setup the cluster to have a centralized logging system so the developers could search the logs for error messages and see what was happening without logging into a million servers.

Infrastructure is the most expensive part of testing and it would be nice to have that covered by the budget. Besides that we could have bug bounties, like 10-50 DASH per bug found for the testers. There's no hurry though, we'd rather utilize the budget to make the public aware of the project and build a nice onboarding system.

The budget system turned out to be a pretty powerful tool for us. There's so many ideas that are being tossed around that would have never worked otherwise.

Totally agree with you, use the budget money for marketing and awareness to get more users & merchants, increase volume on exchanges and hopefully price as well.

This will then have a knock on effect where the monthly budget will be worth even more and go further. You can then use it to get as many test clusters as you want Cheesy

3082 Masternodes - doesnt stop climbing!!!!

Meanwhile Mr Dumper is still present in Crypsty....I wonder how many coins are left.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the updates of DASH on: September 13, 2015, 11:20:12 AM
If bitcoin had this implemented the blocksize debate would have been a thing of the past. I love the way Dash is always at the cutting edge of crypto, solving all of bitcoins problems plus ensuring the solutions are sustainable for future growth.

Also, funding directly from the blockchain for projects voted by the masternode community. Anyone can submit a proposal to develop/provide services to Dash and get paid for it if consensus is agreed.
