241  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Bitcoin growth in 2019 on: November 06, 2018, 12:04:43 PM
There is no group of people called 'experts' and different people have their own different opinions based on their interpretation of the market using technical and foundamental analysis.

With a little FOMO, bitcoin can rise explosively in a short period of time. There just needs to be a catalyst for such a bull run. And that can come at any time.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think only the rich can make profit from Bitcoin? on: November 01, 2018, 08:14:37 PM
As bitcoin grew in value, it started to be valued in fractions of it, which are popularly referred to as Satoshis.
This makes it possible for people to buy the amounts they can afford.
Trading is also a way to earn profits in cryptocurrency. And you can start with little capital (that is even advisable)
243  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Show kindness on: November 01, 2018, 07:57:54 PM
and also for buying or investing in coins? just need help.

If you are referring to bounty. Projects actually grade stakes according to the rank of those involved in signature campaign.
244  Other / Meta / Re: altcoins x ico . different boards? on: November 01, 2018, 05:47:59 PM
Ico tokens are worthless most of the time. You don't know how much they are paying, as a 90% up or down is expected...
Altcoins already listed on exchanges are almost the same as btc. You can receive them and immediately swap to btc.

Maybe a different session for those altcoins would be a good idea?

Yes there is a lot of risk involved in ICOs and with the potential drop on listing, especially in the bearish market most bounty rewards I believe would turn out lower than was allocated.
And I support paying in ETH or other top altcoins (BTC also if possible) as this would also remove the possibility of bounty hunters dumping.

There would not I think be a secton dedicated to such ICO. The forum is not focussed in that and bounty signature is just an addition
245  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New project for a very beginner on: October 29, 2018, 09:53:44 PM
Developing a token and running an ICO project is not something you do for fun, there are so many shitcoins and if you don't want to end up with one of those you best have a y isn't idea and a plan to realize it.

A team should be the first step, and not just casual acquaintances but qualified individuals.

But to do this you need funds, even before you can start up an ICO.
Best to do extensive research before thinking of starting a project.
246  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: October 28, 2018, 06:40:05 AM
With the merit system, bounty hunters will not be able to rank up anymore because they don't know how to contribute in a forum. On the other hand, people with real interest in this forum will definitely gain knowledge as well as share too.

Your idea that bounty hunters would not be able to rank up is wrong, checking the stats you'd see that a lot of members have gotten at least one merit since the updated rules were implemented, and that's what it was made to do, spur users into contributing while earning, there's no problem at all with trying to earn, through what you ironically refer to as passive income.
It's also put in place to discourage account farming which was the real problem.
Admittedly, all spammers were hunters looking for ways to earn, but not all hunters are spammers.
247  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bounty hunting advice for a newbie on: October 28, 2018, 06:21:40 AM
Understanding bounties is all about paying attention and reading the rules and details of participation.
If you have found a bounty you want to join, you would have to follow links to the bounty thread and follow the rules of specific campaigns you qualify for.
The teal dynamics of bounty hunting, like identifying good campaigns and when to sell bounty earned tokens is a broad topic and can only be learned through experience or direct coaching.
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Censorship resistance, but then the additive layer of information censorship on: October 28, 2018, 06:16:07 AM
That is the neutrality of the bitcoin technology, that handles each transaction similarly irrespective of amount, or origin of traders.

bitcoin being censorship resistant means no matter who you are and no matter where you are coming from the network will not prioritize or reject your transaction. it will handle all transactions as long as they are valid. or when you have "money" in your bitcoin wallet nobody can touch it, because it belongs to you.
and nobody can change that.

But with increased regulations in some countries, there would be cases of violations of rules, with bodies set up to handle such cases, and in places like the US and Canada task transactions.
249  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos please change the ban appeal message. on: October 28, 2018, 06:06:17 AM
As the forum is taking a strong stance against copypasta and all the other shady shit people are getting banned for, can you please do us all a solid and change the ban message.

One of the reasons you have gotten that idea that the forum has taken a strong stance against pligarizers and other rule breakers it's cause of the multiple appeals we see daily, it would also serve as a deterrent to others users, a sort of public execution to show the repercussions for breaking forum rules.

I support removing the email part of it truly is non functioning.
It costs moderators nothing to reply to a user with the reason, as some sometimes claim to be oblivious of what or where the copy pasted.
But everyone has a right to appeal, the fact that one user has won such an appeal shows that though rarely there can be flaws, and it would be unfair to the next one user among the thousands.
250  Other / Meta / Re: Be careful with Merit beggars on: October 25, 2018, 01:37:47 PM
Are Copper Members able to bypass the Newbie PM restriction? If so, shouldn’t this perhaps be revised after the Jr. Member demotions and (presumably) increase of Copper Member purchases by Newbies?

I don't think they are. Copper membership benefits does not cover or reduce PM restrictions according to Theymos
But none of the PM-related restrictions are currently lifted, such as the style limit or per-hour PM limit.)

I think it's as a result of the demotion of jr members without a decrease in activity (which the system recognizes when a user deletes posts)
It's just a guess, but I think the system might not automatically have reinstated the restriction on demoted accounts.
251  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchange listing strategy on: October 25, 2018, 01:23:19 PM
No man, dexs are worst because they are decentralised and they will list the coin at whatever prices they want. They will sell to lowest prices available because these are the people who are no one but the bounty hunters.

I don't see the relationship between an exchange being worst bad simply because it is decentralized. Exchanges in general is shifting towards decentralization. And the exchange does not determine price, traders do.
Bounty hunters dumping is not as a result of the exchange and they would still dump the token/coin if it's listed on a big exchange, if the product is not futuristic and relevant.
That is the catalyst to high prices, product and marketing.
252  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For writing a good article, some of my suggestions. on: October 25, 2018, 10:42:44 AM
And also, if you are going to write an off topic post make sure to make it in the off topic board as it would be trashed if it's posted in any perculiar board for other discussions.
253  Economy / Trading Discussion / Exchange listing strategy on: October 25, 2018, 08:23:02 AM
After completing an ICO one of the next major agenda for a project is listing. The first listing.
There are dexs that would just your project for free and without permission, and for bigger exchanges you would likely have to pay a fee to get  listed and little extra for publicity.
How important is the first listing?
Most investors pressure the team to get listed on a big exchange to kick things off, and avoid the DEXS which they claim, kills off tokens.
I disagree with that, a good product would sell anywhere and people would not mind diving in the mud to pull out gold. And if it does dump, it is down to a lot of factors, and not just the exchange it was trading on.
I personally like a small listing to build volume before bigger exchanges are contracted, it equally gives investors options, as not everyone likes to trade on centralized exchanges.
254  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why you keep complaining on: October 23, 2018, 11:56:59 AM
Your post is also a complaint about the complaining of other members. And if you are going to, isn't it better to reply to the thread in question, instead of making a new topic?

Why? because I see a lot of member here since the merit system is implement I see more complaing instead of useful thread.
member, without merit jr, without merit are suddenly back to newbie

There are lots of quality posts from jr members most of who have gotten merits and ranked back up already.

a newbie like me is a threat for this furom

Just corrected one of your sentences for you with a few tweaks  Grin I hope you don't mind  Tongue Grin Grin

P.S: Words colored in blue were added by me.  Tongue Grin

I believe it should be; a newbie like me is a threat to the forum. You can point out someone's errors, but using mocking emojis is not cool  Cool
See...?
255  Other / Meta / Re: Trust rating on: October 22, 2018, 07:41:39 PM

Basically no one is going to trade with them from beginner's and help section. If someone is lazy to search their feedbacks (untrusted feedbacks as well) before trading with someone then I will say they are deserved to be scammed.

It doesn't have to be a direct trade, it includes links they post as well
And this isn't an issue of Lazyness, not all users know where trust ratings appear automatically and where they don't. BT's rules and guidelines takes some getting used to.
256  Other / Meta / Trust rating on: October 22, 2018, 07:17:58 PM
After browsing through the forum a couple of times, I noticed that trust ratings of users only appear when they post on specific boards and not on others.

And without checking their profile you would not be warned of the trust rating of a user.
Beginners and help board is among those where trust rating doesn't appear when a user posts or comments.

And I don't that should be so, newbies should be immediately warned of a red trust member once they make posts on that board.
And then trade with caution.
What do you think?
257  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking merit as a proof of good work, originality and simplicity on: October 22, 2018, 07:01:21 PM

<...> I'd rather everyone understood merit and it’s goals, and tried to post accordingly to postulate to receive it, than everyone not taking into account and posting with no compass. <...>

Exactly, people have to understand that merits is a means to an end. And it is meant to spur a user into  contributing positively and qualitatively. And to effectively get rid of users who just visit the forum as a way to pass time.

Just like grades in school used to separate students according to their knowledge and hard work is meant to spur students to learn and that is more important. Grading is just the means to an end

And when people say users should not concentrate on merits, I think they are rather saying don't make posts repeatedly about it, or beg for it, but work towards it. And you'd indirectly be working on yourself and improving your knowledge.
258  Economy / Reputation / Re: Selling account with green trust. on: October 22, 2018, 01:46:39 PM
It's really very sad that a green trusted account involved with sale or account got hacked.

It's possible that the user is not involved or the account.
Couldn't this sellers attempt to get paid for an account they have no access to?
They get all the available profile details present them, and exit once they get paid. It's either this or the account got hacked
I can hardly see why a legendary member would be interested in selling his/her account.

Edit: the sale thread has been locked so I can't quite the original, but he/she stated there that;

Quote
I would not give any more information until you pay for the accounts

It's very likely they have no access to any account.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN A BUBBLE? PRINTED MONEY IS on: October 22, 2018, 01:34:10 PM
Bitcoin can not be a bubble.
Bubble is used to not to refer to a commodity but rather to a period of unsustainable and exponential price increase, followed by a fall. When you say the bubble has burst.

And many commodities at one point or another have 'bubbled' in value.

Most of these terms is used to dissuade those who are little unformed and unwilling to research properly on the subject, but work with general opinion.

Same way fiat can not be a bubble.
260  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price will a coin die? on: October 22, 2018, 12:47:12 PM
It's mostly tied to the trading volume.
As far as there are active orders with people buying and selling, the coin can't be termed dead, but without trades and no coins in circulation.
It can be said that holders have abandoned the coin/token and investors are not interested.

At this point, top exchanges (if it has gotten to any) would likely delist it. And maybe CMC as well.
It can now be termed dead.
