241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple backed Moneygram releases it earning report in Q3 on: November 02, 2019, 06:57:48 PM
I read the report and it's dry, full up numbers.

Here: https://dailyhodl.com/2019/11/01/moneygram-ceo-reveals-expansion-strategy-with-ripple-and-xrp-earnings-call-report/
you can find what they plan for Q4. While currently on loss, in long turn it seems like a really good idea to cut their costs (and hopefully taxes).
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BAT the DOGE killer? on: November 02, 2019, 03:56:03 PM

BAT was promising coin until Brave doesn't start asking for a KYC.

KYC for using a BROWSER?! They killed the whole conception with this single action. I'm still using an old version of Brave, but I will never update and KYC for the new one.
243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price would touch $16K soon- By Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao on: November 02, 2019, 01:25:50 PM
He's referring the Chinese Government own-crypto.
Changpeng Zhao is way above our levels and that's why IMO he can be right. My only concern is Chinese Gov to not go very hard against any other crypto in an attempt to impose a hard adoption on their own coin.
244  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Incentives for Inflating Cryptocurrency on: November 02, 2019, 12:50:15 PM
Quote
Skeptic: Your Bitflate coin supply inflates. It’ll devalue people’s bag of money. Nobody will want to hold it.
Me: Inflation creates more coins. More people will adopt it. That’s how it will retain value.
Skeptic: That’s a ridiculous idea. It won’t work.
Me: Yeah, it is kinda weird. But it may work.

IMO there is no reason not to work. BUT if I want to use inflating currencies... I will just stick to fiat.

Quote
Inflation has become a touchy subject in crypto. Most people reject it.

Yes, like me. I will not adopt any Inflating Cryptocurrency anytime soon. People are excited about ETH 2.0 and POS and at the same time you are trying to push up on inflating coin.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Swirge.com - The best alternative to Steemit? on: November 01, 2019, 04:25:37 PM
I was just going through the ANN Threads and found this ANN on Swirge Project:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5187495.0
Haven't done much research on it. But it looks like the team are adopting the same format as Steemit.com. And the rewards in posting on steemit right now is very down as steem price is down too. So is Swirge.com a new upcoming better alternative? Or just another crappy project  Cheesy
The new crypto Facebook?

With this outdated /trying to be polite/ UI, Swirge is not an alternative of nothing...

IMO Swirge is trying to be something in between Twitter, Reddit, and Steemit and because of that, they are failing hard. The whole concept seems wrong to me.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Starbucks and crypto integration is a big thing- Michael Novogratz on: October 31, 2019, 04:47:32 PM
The CEO of the Galaxy Digital and an extremely rich person, Michael Novogratz expressed that the inspecting of the cryptocurrency by one of the biggest and well-known espresso chain Starbucks for its user’s app is a major thing for the benefit class.

“Follow this space. This is a big deal. Crypto acceptance is coming. Bakkt to launch consumer app in the first half of 2020; will test the product with Starbucks.”

Source: TheCoinRepublic

Ha! It's nice to see some real-world everyday adoption of crypto!

Seems I will switch back to Starbucks for my morning coffee... if Costa doesn't follow them in the crypto adoption.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 32 ETH for staking?! on: October 30, 2019, 11:27:51 AM
I guess the point to be so high (32ETH) is to keep the big wallets locked/staking and small amounts in circulations.
IMO this could lead to substantial price surge because of the artificially lowered coins in actual circulation.

But then the staking pools will pop-up as mushrooms. And scams along with them, offering too-good-to-be-true staking conditions.

249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your thoughts about 888Tron and their gambling competitions? on: October 29, 2019, 05:15:01 PM
Have you already heard about 888Tron of TRON Blockchain? They are one of the most famous gambling Project of TRON Network and they are doing a lots of gambling competition or Big Events and has a big Prizes. Like today, they have a Big Event which is up to 100k TRX of Prizes and it will ENDS October 29th at 23.59 GMT+3.

I don't like this particular promo from 888Tron as it's excluding all small players. E.g. the biggest 5 winners will get 20K.
And nothing for the recreational players like me.

But they are promising 50M TRX competition soon. Hopefully, it will be with more interesting terms...
250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coinmatics – crypto copy trading and analytical platform on: October 29, 2019, 12:07:38 PM
Zero sum game theory says that everyone cannot win because if you win, it is because someone is losing money, total will be zero. So, how do you explain that you can make people earn money according to this theory?

Markets are not a zero-sum game.
They are minus sum game. One person wins, another loss and the broker is always netting a commission.

Coinmatics is very similar to eToro Social Trading.

The better traders you are copying, the more money you are making.
It's a well-explored conception from ZuluTrade, eToro, etc.
The general problem is that more or the traders are having a good month or two (mostly due luck), people start following them and in the end... free fall.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't let Margin Trading make you poor! on: October 29, 2019, 10:46:37 AM
So Binance introduced margin trading up to x125! Great for some, horrible for most. Why? Because this is an open market and people without experience can actually go ahead and borrow Bitcoin without knowing half of what's going on.

For that reason, I wrote an article to give a good introduction to margin trading, Bitcoin lending, as well as Bitcoin borrowing (if you wanna make some passive income). It's by no means that the best post on the topic, but it does give a really good overview.

You can read it here and decide if going down the margin road is the best thing you can do: https://paybis.com/blog/bitcoin-lending/

I appreciate having a margin options. But not as crazy as x125.

If you know what you are doing, trading on margin is much more profitable. But like any other power tool, margin should be used very cautiously - like x5, not x125.
My standard margin ix x3 - x5 and in very rare occasion x10. When you remove all the trading fees, lending fees, etc. it's x3.54 more profitable in my case.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins to go crazy again once Bitcoin reaches 20k? on: October 29, 2019, 10:00:44 AM
Most probably not.

IMO everybody now is more careful, more cautious than the alt boom in 2017. Even if we see a new 20K Bitcoin, people will stick to Bitcoin and the few main Alts. Nobody will rush itself into unknown alts just because Bitcoin is 20K again.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Tradesatoshi exchange no trading fees until 2020 on: October 25, 2019, 06:41:17 PM
Tradesatoshi is one of the new exchanges trying to look liquid while everything is just very thin orders.

For example, look at BTC/USDT pair: only 1-3 USDT thin flood orders. If you try or want to trade more than 50 USDT, you will get a 3-8% price difference.

Even with zero fees, I will avoid it.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: site for creating paid tasks on: October 25, 2019, 06:07:06 PM
Hello guys, please tell me where can i create a task in which people will repost on twitter for a small fee. I mean a site like neobux and something similar but with the ability to create tasks. thanks

I know exactly what you want.

Clickworker.com
microworkers.com

Both of these websites allow you to pay a few cents to get people to do things like retweet /like/comment/share and various networks, give reviews, install apps. Fill in sigh ups. All sorts of small tasks. The call it microwork and they are microtasks. I have used both sites for years.

These are one of the most popular sites for microtasks, but they doesn't accept cryto's.

Hello guys, please tell me where can i create a task in which people will repost on twitter for a small fee. I mean a site like neobux and something similar but with the ability to create tasks. thanks

bountyPlatform
bountyplatform.io/

BountyPortals (I'm not sure are they still on the market and accepting new projects)
bountyportals.com

DropTheBomb

255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC&ALTS price direct proportional? on: October 25, 2019, 05:53:50 PM
Teach me some crypto history. Did alts price rise in the past when BTC was rising or are there any other patterns showing up?
Everybody's talking about altseason but i'm not sure if i understand the term correctly.
Which tools do you use to track you coins?
Thank you!

You can check what is and what was the BTC dominance over the different bullish/bearish periods and made some correlations:

https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/#dominance-percentage

IMO BTC domination is moving on slow swings and I'm using it with 'a little' success to gain BTC value. Please don't mistake it with USD profits.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Dash Puzzle [0.35 DASH to Solver] on: October 25, 2019, 05:28:00 PM
Nope, I didn't have time than to take a glance and see a recursive solution.
If the 'leafs' are not in the right order (e.g. left to right), you will need to do another recursion - with different orders.

But if you don't solve it, I guess I will do it during the weekend when I'm off work.
OP or somebody else put another 0.35 and now the 'bounty' is 0.7 DASH. Worth an hour of my time Smiley

257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 23, 2019, 05:36:10 PM
We didn't have any surprising results last night.
I think that Tottenham win over Red Star with 5 goals may be proven as a Morale booster for the players and make them return in good performance.

I was a little surprised that Olympiacos Piraeus managed to put two on Bayern Smiley

I have a hunch that Benfica - Olympique Lyonnais will be a goal spectacle too and I bet Both teams to score & 2.5
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Part 1: The Top Cryptocurrency Trading Books on: October 23, 2019, 12:58:14 PM
The books on the list are about Traditional markers/trading!
While there are excellent books (I have 3 of them), there isn't a single book devoted to crypto trading!

I'm firmly against using stock/FX trading approaches to crypto. Crypto markets are driven by other reasons, powers, and fears.
IMO the best approach to crypto-trading is to spot tendencies and exploit them, not blindly following charts, or candles, etc.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 23, 2019, 10:21:31 AM
Today we have some matches to wage a bet and in Vienna open today there is Gael Monfils facing Dennis Novak and considering their form i am going with Gael Monfils to win and in another match Borna Coric is facing Mikhail Kukushkin and considering the bad form Borna Coric is in for the past few weeks i am expecting Mikhail to win a set.

Odds on Monfils are too low at ~1.20 range.

I prefer to test my luck with a Basel's game:

Goffin D. vs  Cilic M.

Cilic may be underdog, but lately, he's playing better and I expect today to take this match. ~2.51 is a worthy risk.
260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Sportsbook with Instant withdraw and No KYC? on: October 23, 2019, 09:44:12 AM
The closest you will get to NO KYC + up to 5btc + Instant withdraws are

NitrogenSports (https://nitrogensports.eu/)
BitcoinRush (https://www.bitcoinrush.io/)
Fairlay (https://fairlay.com/)

Withdraws are NOT instant, but they are fast enough.
And there is no KYC if you don't try something stupid like double-spending.
