241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does bounty still kind of worth on 2020? on: October 13, 2020, 09:04:35 AM
Yes, it is! But you have to work hard, participate in many various campaigns. I give you a good example! Today I checked my ETH wallets and I found out that one of the past campaigns - Jarvis send me 5000 tokens. Now I look and the value is after months of waiting around 1000 dollars!  Cool
That's cool reward, it's very hard to know which project will be successful even if the team are professionals, anything can happen, it's better to promote every good projects you see and wait for any positive out come, bounties are now 'try your luck' way of making money, do your own research and pray for some luck.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Risk attached with approve transaction on DAPP and DEX like uniswap on: October 13, 2020, 07:59:01 AM
On uniswap as you all know, we need to approve tokens first then only we can swap those. Which also means uniswap smart contract can call that token anytime from our wallet however it is not centralized and codes are public so we trust it. But what if tomorrow there is some bug found and someone exploit it to call those tokens from our address? Because at time of approve normally we approve unlimited quantity of that token for repeated trades. recently i had to change approval and made it 0 through uniswap contract just because of such thing i heard.

What is your opinion? Should we truly approve infinite number of token for trade or only the amount we are going to swap?

refrence -

"When approving your tokens for the first time on a DApp, many exchanges automatically approve a nearly infinite amount of tokens so that you only have to approve once. This can be convenient and reduce the amount of funds that you spend on transaction costs. However, having a nearly infinite number of tokens approved means all of that token in your wallet is available to be transferred by the smartcontract."

"if there is a bug in the smartcontract that results in unauthorized transference, then your wallet would be in considerable risk of being completely wiped out. By approving more tokens than you will ever have in your wallet, you are sacrificing security for convenience."

Take it or leave it, dex have bugs too, there was few dex hack in the past as I can tell, use google to find answers and correct me if I'm a wrong but dex is way better than centralized in terms of privacy and security, what I don't get it the term decentralized in crypto space, are all dex exchanges not controlled by people? So how is this a definition of decentralization?
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - The Scam Engine? on: October 12, 2020, 11:07:54 AM
DeFi isn't a scam engine, it's not a new use case either, I've knew DeFi since 2019 and at the time it wasn't popular, unlike now that all eye are on DeFi due to DeFi potential, it's left for us to pick DeFi projects that are hundred percent decentralized, some DeFi projects are centralized in disguise honestly, do your own research and stop giving away your hard earned money to scammers
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I like to collect the token on: October 12, 2020, 11:04:51 AM
It's not easy to hold coins and tokens for long term, I prefer taking profits when available because crypto is unpredictable, even strong projects can vanish into thin air in just few years, I prefer short term investment and take profits, I've lost a lot to holding coins, way too risky for me
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram is trash on: October 11, 2020, 07:02:16 AM
If you got scammed here or have been deceived yes it trash because scammers can always delete your conversation and they can imitate other users, but it's still a very important communication tools for developers to their supporters, but I'd like to see a better version of Telegram because of the so many abuse.
OP made mentioned of Avalanche project, well this crypto project is not a scam or anywhere next to it, investors can be annoying sometimes, just because a telegram group is blocking people off doesn't mean the project is scam, some people's aim is to spread FUD and that's no good for any new project
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram is trash on: October 11, 2020, 06:59:19 AM
Seems it's just an echo chamber that tells you your bags are going to the moon... And if the price happens to go down? ?
....then it's another chance to fill your bags even more LMFAO!

One critical observation.... Instaban!

Silly ass shit

Am I wrong?

Edit: I am not talking about Electroneum.

Biggest joke on Telegram is Avalanche. Great project, horrific Telegram. Not one negative comment.  LOL

But this is how it's done on almost all projects...purposefully.

Trashy as hell.  BAD form. Zero class
There will always be those who will spread FOMO and FUD on any project telegram groups, it's left for the group managers to automatically reject messages that consists of any FUDs, the best Telegram group i like among almost all new projects since 2018 is Chainlink, as big as this project is the telegram group is well controlled
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Best mining OS on Linux? on: September 30, 2020, 04:20:31 PM
Hi guys, is there any good mining OS on Linux that adjusts graphics card energy consumptions automatically? I've heard about simple mining OS and few others but I don't know if any have this feature, I prefer to use OS than straight miners like Claymore miners
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Less Volatile Coins on: September 29, 2020, 06:17:04 PM
I am a newbie on this forum and I have read my posts that people complaining how they lost their fund as a result of investing on Volatile coin like BTC. Is it now advisable for newbie like me to invest on less Volatile coin like Tether or Gemini USD.
You have a lot to learn, I suggest you should spend time learning about the difference between altcoins and stablecoin, for example Tether ( USDT ) and Gemini USD are both stable coins, investing on them won't earn you a dime, you buy 1$ worth of stable coin you will get 1$ forever, you aren't qualified for earning yet, spend time on learning first.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Cryptospace is getting Worst on: September 29, 2020, 06:11:23 PM
Imagine a NEW crypto with the Name 'Rope' has a trading volume of over 5 millions usd on uniswap. A visit to the website 'https://rope.lol/" has a BOLD Image of a hanging rope with further inscription 'Do not buy it' followed with a grinding face that looked like someone who got scammed.

In a summary, the webpage is saying. do not buy 'ROPE' you could loose everything and you will regret it. But the reverse is the case.  As a matter of fact. this token made 118%
within 24 hours of listing and have a volume of 5 millions usd on Uniswap.
My observation on this. Most people no longer care about the objectives of a project. they just want to Make GAINS.
the days of do your Research is fast diminishing and most market users cared less about what they do with their money that they can invest on a project with BOLD description "this is a scam' as long as there is a return.

i tried to trade the token but after visiting the site, i lost my little sense in trading on uniswap.

BE CAREFUL....
.
It's true that many investors only care about quick gains today but if you can carefully do your own research you will still find projects that have better use case and plan for very long term, do not listen to FUD, many investors starts misleading new investors once their target failed to work out.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Three phases bounty distribution on: July 17, 2020, 07:23:01 AM
I've been in this crypto thing for quit some time now, many projects implement this three times distribution but in the end the tokens still dumps, real use case of a project is the only thing that drives demand to a project, that's what you should seek for when looking for a project to promote
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters complains and they listens on: July 16, 2020, 07:31:19 AM
Bubbalex will listen if the bounty allocation is small and many participants are joining, I PMd him about too many participants on Cartesi bounty campaign and he listened, too much participants on a small budget bounty campaigns  aren't good
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You want DEFI? Go Oldy on: July 16, 2020, 07:29:01 AM
Not bad, fresh DeFi projects will be too risky because scammers have already gotten their eye on the use case, most successful DeFi projects presently have been around since a year or two now, if you want to invest I suggest checking the date they've been in development or existence
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Bad Exchanges on: July 15, 2020, 09:48:45 AM
I'm just trying to do my part, I know many won't care and some don't even bother to read anymore, they are just here for bounties, here is for those who cares about reading and learning.

Stay away from the following exchanges, I have bad experience with them already and I can still see few people getting caught in same trap

1. Vindax
2. Systemkoin
3. P2PB2B
4. Latoken

Not just for fake volumes and watched trade but scams, lose of funds, swapping of withdrawal addresses, you name it, have a great day
Bitforex and Exmarket exchange aren't left out, they have poor customer services and bad trading volumes too, some new projects still lists on these exchanges anyway maybe because of cheap listing fee?
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sometimes late bounties can still pay rewards on: July 15, 2020, 09:39:45 AM
Yes it's a living prove, some projects just wake up from their dead bed since 2018 after Bounty Hunters get their tokens, no development and everything became silent until this year and they get listed on exchanges, this is a lesson for bounty hunters who think that they've wasted their time on useless bounty projects.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: qTrade and exchanges similar to it on: July 15, 2020, 09:34:54 AM
Qtrade lacks good volume and liquidity mate, not a good platform for trading, if this exchange is legit I wonder why coinmarketcap can't show any data about this exchange, saying it's been in existence since two years ago even raised few more eye brows, 2 years and no data info on CMC? That's not good
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto mass adoption closing in on: July 15, 2020, 09:32:14 AM
will it be a threat for defi as it can grab all of the demand that already around the DEFI that exist in the crypto ecosystem? I doubt if that will bring a good impact on the crypto.
If Paypal tries to adopt crypto and what will be happening with the project that focuses to create a payment gateway for crypto?
You sound as if PayPal is the only payment solution we have in real world today, whats wrong with having more than one crypto payment solution? PayPal existed but Wepay and Alipay still become successful, do you know how big payment solutions can be? You have no idea
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fiat vs Crypto in money laundering on: July 15, 2020, 09:29:27 AM
Money laundering will be more difficult if all transaction of holders can be in crypto without any fiat exchange, the fiat deposit that the government can freeze, monitor or take tax. My only concern is the process of hiding, it does not indicate that such holder is legitimate to the fund. Fiat is very difficult to launder and some might choose property or legitimate Enterprise but without the personal disposal to the fund money can be lost.
Why would people launder money if they aren't criminals? Yea? Only criminals will launder money either with crypto or Fiat, people need to abstain from all this criminal life, I have no problem with crypto or Fiat since my money making way are clean and pure, you have nothing to worry about if you have no skeleton hiding in your closet
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enough of repetitive projects and old ideas on: July 14, 2020, 08:44:08 AM
Many new altcoins will die in the future because there won't be many investors investing money on them and as we know it we have many scammers here who will keep creating useless tokens and coins, if you are a developer and you think you are serious enough then try as hard as possible to come out with something new and different, enough of repetitive projects and same old ideas

Bring in something NEW or don't bother at all

I don't see anything really wrong in repeating ideals in a new project.  Some good and worthy ideas have been abandoned probably because of financial challenges of developing such great idea further. So if another project with the aim continuing the development with some touched of improvement, then it's fine by me.  What I don't like is plagiarism and repeating the same idea without any plan of improving it further from where the idea was picked up.
Honestly I can see clearly how dangerous repetitive projects can be, here are just few thoughts of my own

1. Repetitive projects fails easily because they aren't impressive to investors anymore, many investors have a bad story to share about projects with same use case

2. They get the job done faster for scammer, they can just copy all contents and give a different name to the project, this is why I don't like repetitive projects
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth going for me? on: July 14, 2020, 08:40:15 AM
I am following PayAccept project - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5258011.msg54681210#msg54681210 for some time now much like others here. So I like to know few things and advice from people who already have idea of this project.

They recently made a Turbo sale, which was below 1-2 cents from actual exchange price and it was sold out within 1 hour. So unfortunately, there was no opportunity for me to think or do anything.

Now I just read on their https://twitter.com/payaccept/status/1282630910005972992 that they are doing 2nd Turbo Sale in few hours.

Please tell me is it worth going for??

I heard payAccept had something to do with best exchange but still can't be trusted, what I don't like is their promotion but we can't judge a project with their appearance, PayAccept had a bad look, not impressive at all but can't judge
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For airdroppers who can hardly relate on: July 14, 2020, 08:38:21 AM
Few Airdrops that request KYC are legit but there is no way to know what the team will do with the KYC details later on, can be sold for money to other third parties, I'm so against KYC verifications but can't outrun them, the best exchanges in crypto space are all centralized
