241  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks against the crypto on: March 12, 2019, 11:12:36 PM
Decentralization. Everyone is talking about it. Can cryptocurrency lead to the disappearance of banks. Or will banks be able to adjust and remain in power?

Nope. Come what may banks will always prevail. They can always adjust and continue to remain
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think ICO is a good way to raise money? on: February 27, 2019, 11:30:07 PM
Hello , What do you think about ICO as a way of raising money in the next years? .Specially after all the scam projects we have seen before, like last time  the team of a project called elementh(https://icobench.com/ico/elementh) claimed that they have to quit the project since they did not have enough resources eventhough they raised about 8M USD , and after ICO no single step forward the development of product has been achieved.
They wanna return the money to investors as btc and eth after all this bull market (btc was about 10K usd ).

Indeed ICO is a cool way to make money. I have alot of testimonies to that. At thesame time it is a high-risk investment, you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose especially these days that it's been infiltrated by hungry scammers. Are there still real ICOs? Yes! but since you can't be so sure anymore, it's better to trade with caution and do not invest what you can't afford to lose
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Somehow tired of bounty/airdrop (share your story on this thread) on: February 26, 2019, 11:21:11 PM
As the title implies I am somehow tired of bounties after only 2 years in this "world" : I've been a bounty hunter,(100+ projects), I did more than 700+ airdrops, I've been a translator, content writer..you name it. .When I started everything was working so well(I have to mention that I started doing it with 6 months before the last bull market) and I could get some nice amount of money at the time, I remember that I wanted to do it for my entire life because everyday I learned something new and make a little profit from it.I'm tired because nowadays there are so many scam projects(maybe 90% of them), some fail(maybe 5%) because everyone knows that is very hard to raise money in the bear market and only 5% have a real use, a good team and good project overall and they usually are not doing a bounty. My question for all of you is: Should I continue to look for bounties anymore? (Share your story, feelings, bounty campaign that is worth working for here. )

My airdrop and bounty experience is not any different. Currently, my wallet is full of shits that have no market value. Initially I was hopeful that someday there will worth something good but that expectation seem not forthcoming and so I decided to pedal down for the main time. That is not to say that there are no good airdrops and bounties anylonger but very scanty. It's better to spot good ones to avoid unecessary waste of time
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I think a lot of people just missed their chance on: February 23, 2019, 08:09:27 PM
It seems to be going up and not coming back down again.

Chances are that it will still drop further in this bear. Might climb towards the third quarter of the year. Still a very good opportunity for risk takers. Lose no hope, fortune lies ahead for us
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you have to take risks. on: February 22, 2019, 08:14:23 AM
There is no such thing as not taking any risks in this market. It's hard to get big returns without risk. less risk brings less money. Great risks make people rich.

I agree with you. Life is risk and risk is life. You desire to live? Then you desire to take risk. Living and not taking risk is hypocrisy and self wickedness too. Successful people are risk takers. Some succeed others fail yes but risk taking is ultimately necessary for survival.
246  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are You Afraid of KYC? on: February 22, 2019, 06:17:52 AM

Im an airdrop hunter and everytime i tried to join a new one i always find out that they require kyc .  i tried too look again for another one but still they also have a kyc and i cant do kyc because i know that its not easy and requires more of my time  . i rather do more valueable things that doing an airdrop with kyc , so thats it its verry anoying  but its not dangerous and theres no point to be afraid with it .

I'm not afraid  but at the same time kyc is very tedious and sometimes takes long time to authenticate. Therefore its not all project that should request for it. Imagine doing kyc for airdrop that will eventually give you shits that won't amount to anything good. The emphacy on kyc is becoming alarming as against what it used to be. If nothing is done a time will come whereby every transaction will begin to demand kyc. Giving out your life time data is a huge risk.

What I do is to compare and contrast the risks and benefits involed before embarking on kyc.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: predictions of 2019 on: February 18, 2019, 07:41:20 AM
1. Surprise - Life goes on Smiley

2. Much more projects will die

3. New projects will start

4. It will be a year of crypto education

5. It will be a year of maturation

6. Delays of fully POS in Ethereum

7. Improvements in User Experience - Keep an eye out for (Elrond - work on exquisite user experience is being done)

8. Facebook in crypto?

9. ..... - You write your predictions

The hangover will persevere as cryptocurrency prices will not regain their peaks anytime soon and may even dippen. More ICOs and altcoins but not without advanced scammers stemming from desperation.  Also, I see more strength to emphasis on KYC than we have witnessed in recent time
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why Bounty Hunters Hate KYC !!! on: February 18, 2019, 07:17:37 AM
What i know,  KYC means Know Your Customer ! Bounty hunters are there to Support ICO Project to spread the word about the project .. BUT as soon as the Project manager mention KYC then many  Hunter run away  ! Why? Is it  because  people  don't want review their identity  for security  reason  or people  are joining campaign  with bot software ..
[/quote

Know-Your-Customer. To me, Bounty hunters are more of 'hired labourers' than customers so when they render service you reward them and case closed. Why insisting on one account per hunter? Those that eventually pay what is the worth per account? It's not worth the risk of disclosing personal data. They claim it's to curb cheating but If a hunter goes multiple and still fufills the required tasks on all the accounts then he deserves to be rewarded completely. Seriously I hate kyc for bounties and airdrops especially those that will mask kyc from the start only to show up later.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible sending BTC without a transaction fee? on: February 17, 2019, 07:05:43 PM
I would know if it is possible to send BTC without a transaction fee regardless of theoretically or practicall..
From knowledge and personal experience, Sending to a cryptocurrency address is costly due to the blockchain mining fee, and can take a while especially when there is network congestion. Although there are claims that it could be free amidst other factors, I guess I'll have to do a thorough research on the possibilities before attempting it
250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin conceptualization in the context of globalization on: February 17, 2019, 06:34:46 PM
As you can see the changes that we live in are profound, especially in this dynamic era. The technology plays an essential role not only from the perspective of creating new infrastructures, but also from the perspective of its conceptualization. I strongly believe that in the coming years, a large amount of the non-integrated population in the financial system will gain a particular desire to be part of the new system  - without linking to central authorities. Economies are becoming increasingly interlinked. At the moment, our money in the wallet is worthwhile because there is someone who guarantees for it. What if we still have money that are still recognized without the need for someone as central power to authenticate and supervise them? This is my way of conceptualisation these changes.
What role do you think Bitcoin plays in the context of globalization? Bitcoin conceptualization in the context of globalization

[/quote  Exchange means gravitate towards low-friction channels. Ceteris paribus, users will adopt the payment system that offers the path of least resistance. At this point Bitcoin comes to the mind. Bitcoin’s market cap is superior to that of other cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin’s liquidity also implies a strong network, as large liquidity implies large transaction volumes, which implies a robust mining environment. on the other hand, while Bitcoin will grow and lead as a global unit of account, individuals may still prefer to exchange with coins that are less liquid since the cost of retaining a less liquid currency shrinks if one can exchange it into Bitcoin at very little discount. By implication, altcoins will act as highly liquid media of exchange for particular regions, companies, Internet groups, religious communities, and other voluntary collectives whereas Bitcoin will play the major role of economic globalisation
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forum moderation policy on: February 10, 2019, 06:09:39 AM
The policy to not remove anything worked when the forum was small. Now that we have thousands of posts a day, we can't afford 50% of them being junk. The moderators are now instructed to be less tolerant of low-value posts.

Some guidelines:

1. Free speech - you can say anything as long as it is relevant and presented in a calm and polite manner. Swearing, SHOUTING etc. make your post more likely to be removed.
2. No zero value posts or threads, like "SELL SELL SELL"
3. No pointless or uninteresting threads.
4. No referral code spam
5. No NSFW content

A step in a wrong direction. Now moderators will decide which posts have "low value", which posts are "uninteresting" or "pointless". In practice moderators will delete everything they don't like. The words "free speech" above are thus an obvious lie.

Don't like it either.  Deleting what you don't like doesn't make it useless. Readers are in best position to judge this not moderators. It could be 'interesting' and of 'high value' to readers but yet deleted. Question is: what happens when an interesting post is deleted?
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the cheater? on: February 09, 2019, 06:20:52 AM
I think we have got so many cheater among bounty hunters and so many scammers among so called dev and team, but at times delay in payment of bounty rewards may not necessarily mean to cheat bounty hunters.
It's a two way thing here.  Both are cheaters. The hunters break the rules by going multiple and that's an abuse of the project. Developers delaying until dump isn't fair to the hunters also. However, this two are unavoidable. Can only be minimised for the good of all
253  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: It's still profitable to run online btc casino? on: February 09, 2019, 05:38:56 AM
I see more and more such casino sites comming live and wondering if its still profotable to run the new online casino? there are thousands of such sites, how to make it unique and get people to visit and play in my casino site?

Choosing an online casino is a serious business and with the vast majority of several others floating around the web, there's no excuse for not doing your homework. Advertisement to reach potential gamblers is key alongside other unique features that will prove your reputation. Have to be prepared before starting up

255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔵🔵🔵[ANN] Covalent.ai – A Smart Policy Platform 🔵🔵🔵 on: January 30, 2019, 04:19:42 PM
I just found out COVA tokens could be mined much more easily on the mainnet as long as you have a computer with Inter CPU, you can join the network and mine COVA.

Yeah, but that'll be only possible when the CovaChain mainnet goes live. Right now COVA only has tokens on the Ethereum blockchain and these can't be mined.

The launching of Covalent mainnet would make a lot of difference. We could mine these tokens and make profits. Btw would cova tokens be moved from ether chain to cova. ?

I think there was a discussion recently, but I forgot the result:-)
Some say there will be two tokens, others say there will be a swap and then only one token.  I am also of the opinion that there will be a swap.

Yes, we had this discussion and if I remember correctly, they will have 2 different tokens. So no swap as far as I know. But I could be wrong. Best is to keep checking their Telegram. If there are any news, I am sure they will announce it there.

Definitely, Telegram is the best place to get whatever information we might need but if truly there will be two tokens, I find it strange because there is definitely no need for having two of the same token. Best is to have a token swap if you ask me

I totally agree with that instead of having two different tokens they must swap it instead except if those tokens have a different features or benefits on the project?
Did they announced when they will release their main net with their very own currency?
I've checked their public testnet and its fully operational with no bugs so far! So they should release it soon!

I dont know where all this confusion is coming from, they have said it that the cova token will remain on th ethereum blockchain. which means that there will be no cova token on their main net.

That means their mainnet will be use for running cove protocols, that makes a lot sense given the fact that they need it to be fairly fast  and secured
their mainnet will probably be used for processing data with adding a extra level of encryption to make it secure and not exposed to online theft! however i'm really confused on how COVA coin will be used here?
Well, a bit confused too but let's watch it grow and hope for the best
