241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do people around you think about Bitcoin ? on: June 06, 2016, 07:46:28 AM
So, what do people around you (relatives, co-workers, co-ed, friends...) think about Bitcoin ? Please, indicate your country, so this way I'll be able to make a synthesis about what people think about Bitcoin.

For me : I come from France. My relatives think that it's criminals' tool and that since they can't touch money they don't trust it (note that those same persons are pro-banks, where you can't touch money). My friends think that it is useless and that it has no future. Both of them agree that scare them the most is the Bictoin's price volatibility.

So not so positive Undecided. I hope that you aren't in the same situation.

My relatives and my friends express only distrust. They don't believe on its existence or in everything connected with it. As for the thoughts of the people near you are typically the thoughts of them who don' know deeply this invention. Seems difficult for me that people from France have such thoughts for a wonderful product like bitcoin. Maybe have some right regarding its volatility but the last 1 year and half bitcoin have been more stable than to many other normal currencies.
242  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen after the halving? on: June 06, 2016, 07:35:37 AM
Any idea what will happen after the halving on July? Will the value of Bitcoin be doubled or will it be divided? Or will it just stay the same? Tell me please. TIA!

It is easy to understand what will happen if bitcoin will follow the normal rules. Will have less supply with the same request. In this cases (in all this cases) happen the increase of price of the item which is less in market. Bitcoin must follow this rule and its price must go higher. Anyhow with bitcoin no one known how can go. It is known its volatility and that "he" follow only its own rules.
243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: June 05, 2016, 08:37:54 PM
There can be several factors but the main two are, according to me: 1. the impossibility to use bitcoin in most of the everyday uses and the incapacity to compete with the cash and credit/debit cards in such actions. 2. most of the people are not high tech lovers and as such find difficult to substitute a simple way to make their everyday bought/sale actions (use of paper money and credit/debit cards) with a - in view - difficult way to make such operations.
244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin IS basically DESTROYED on: June 05, 2016, 08:17:31 PM
Bitcoin is basically destroyed now with 70% of the mining controlled by China, soon to be 98+%, and with Blockstream implementing their SegWit soft fork Trojan Horse so as Matonis admits can end up increasing the 21 million coins limit.

The entire ecosystem is headed for a clusterfuck.

I honestly believe this is the truth.  What is there to add ?

~CfA~

UPDATE: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1465136.msg14789764#msg14789764

You are in big wrong. First the mining is decentralized. So even in China the new bitcoins are not at the hand of few people but at to many. Second it is already produced more than 60% of the bitcoins which are at the hands of to meany others. Third, the remaining part will be produced in more than 100 years. So no one can have most of the new bitcoins. It is not the first time that can be read such thoughts without any kind of basis.
245  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where u use bitcoins? on: June 05, 2016, 08:08:40 PM
Hello,

Where do you use bitcoins? First i buy food, medicine, bills

Seems a little strange your use of bitcoin because all that uses are difficult to be realized with bitcoin. Anyhow this is not my problem. I wanted to tell only that I use bitcoin only to invest. It is a little difficult to find always places to invest but until today there was always one new. So all my bitcoins are invested already and even multiplied.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Jobs on: June 05, 2016, 08:02:56 PM
Are there any full time jobs that pay in bitcoin?

You must ask to have a job without asking more. Then, is up to you to make your payment with bitcoin or whatever other kind of currency will want. Because simply can change your salary in the currency you want. Important is to be an work which like to you and you are able to have much money doing that. All the other things can be arranged. Wink

Te dashur miq,

Harrojeni prodhimin e bitcoineve pasi nuk eshte fitimprures. Ju leverdis me shume qe te blini bitcoin (megjithese tanime po shtrenjtohet) se sa ta prodhoni ate. Rritja e veshtiresise se prodhimit cdo dy jave nuk mundeson prodhim me fitim.
248  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: June 05, 2016, 05:10:19 PM
I want ask anyone if i give you 10 Btc what will you do. because i want investment but i have no any good idea to invest it (except gambling) but i don't like dambling. So i want ask you viewS.

I will invest those ALL. Not in gambling because gambling is not an investment. It is the most stupid way to throw away your bitcoins. There are continuous projects in the field of peer to peer in which can be invested and have very good profits. Naturally not all the investments can go ok but even the worst one of those will give something. I have invested in 5 of those since this moment and only one is gone bad. The other 4 are giving good profits. It is enough to follow the news and see the various factors which show what kind of investment can be and everything is very easy. At least to invest. Then the profits sometime need time to be matured.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving is a profitable??? on: June 05, 2016, 05:01:39 PM
Do you think that in this year halving is a profitable???

For sure (if everything goes like the normal predictions tell) yes. If you have bitcoin will be increase of price and you will win more is sell your bitcoins. If not you can buy bitcoin before halving and then sell those after the halving. Case the increase of price you will have again profit. But never forget. Bitcoin is not a normal currency. As such never can be predicted for sure its movements. No one can tell with security that its price will be increased after the halving. No one can predict in which way can be the movement of the price of bitcoin. Normally must be so but bitcoin is not normal. Bitcoin is backed only by the faith of its followers and this is very few to tell for sure that the price will go high after the halving.
250  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: June 05, 2016, 03:14:09 PM
Greetings all. I'd like to know what you would do if your bitcoin did one of the following, as I am a little confused about what I'll do myself...

What would you do if:

Bitcoin hit $1,000,000:
Bitcoin hit  $1,000 again:
Bitcoin stayed where it was:
Bitcoin became worthless, or a few cents:
And which of these do you think is most probable?

Thanks for your opinions,

 -Lags

The main aim that I have regarding my bitcoins is to pay the college of my daughters. Then to see and to do. If will be more will use those to buy house for them and their families. At the end, if there will be more, to enjoy my life and my the life of my daughters families. The rest for the grandchildren.
251  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: June 05, 2016, 03:08:35 PM
for me Bitcoin allows me to hold some saving out of the banking system and the hands of the government.

The best thing I like to bitcoin is that bitcoin is the first product yet in life of the peer to peer technology. The future of this technology is immense and the humanity will be shaped totally by it. It is yet very early to discuss about that but can be told that the limit of this technology is the human imagination. And since this have no boundaries can be imagined what can be the future of the humanity.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: June 05, 2016, 03:04:06 PM
So are you holding your bitcoins for future events such as halving or you more like to spend your bitcoins when you get it? I personally like to spend it for digital goods usually...

I don't have even one satoshi at my wallet. All my bitcoin are invested in several projects of cryptos or peer to peer ones. In this way hope to have more profit: 1. from the increase of the price of bitcoin in time (and not only for the halving), 2. from the increase of value of the projects in which I have invested my bitcoins. The first investment was fantastic. I had invested in ether and now see that my bitcoins are multiplied.
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How police think about Bitcoin enthusiasts ? on: June 05, 2016, 02:53:42 PM
When it comes to a crime, what would the police think about a guy trading with bitcoins frequently in large volumes ?(hundreds of BTCs)

I've heard they can't stand bitcoin dealers out and they become a suspect immediately with no questions asked in case there's a crime where the bitcoin enthusiast is involved. Is that true ?

I think that think two things. Most of polices think like think their chief. That the guy is making something illegal and must be punished. Then there are few who think with their head and will think that the guy is doing a business which can be even illegal for the moment but that in the future can be a normal one like the trade with the other money.
254  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2017 Year of the Bitcoin on: June 05, 2016, 02:37:02 PM
Shaping up as big year

Cheesy

I see the date of the creation of the thread and see that was early this year. But the prediction seems correct seeing the price of bitcoin these days. Anyhow it is yet early to tell if it is true for sure. It is known that bitcoin move its price like "he" want and is not strange that after a week the price goes even down of 450 us dollar. But seems that this year before has made it a mature currency. It is so? Let's wait for a couple a month...
255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you trust to bitcoin casinos? on: June 05, 2016, 02:27:38 PM
Do you really trust online bitcoin casinos you play at?

I think all lost in casino, except the owner.

Correct and hope you will not play never more at one casino: and I mean casino with or without bitcoin. Casino are a business created by the owner to have profit. He/she/they give some money and steal all the others. The worst case is when the loser lose the money of the everyday bread. This is not rare because the gamble create addiction. For this is better to stay away from the casinos.
256  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still believe in bitcoin on: June 05, 2016, 02:23:13 PM
I joined up over here in 2012-13. At the time it seemed like a way to make a quick buck. Overtime as i read about it more and more, i became interested in the freedom it provides. As time has went on however, my interest and belief in bitcoin have waned. I won't get into the details of why, but i'm wondering what your honest opinion of bitcoin is, with a simple vote, and possibly an explanation.

I believe more than never. I am a strong believer not only because bitcoin is the first crypto in use. Even in this direction bitcoin deserve gratitude and proud. Almost stable in value in 1 year and half and now before halving increase of price. Everything like the theory. But there is another reason because I believe on it. It is the first product of peer to peer tech yet in life and in good life. Peer to peer is a revolutionary tech which yet is not born fully. Will have a boom in the times to come and will change all our live. Bitcoin is the fact that this tech can be materialized and for this deserve a strong belief. At least has mine.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The only way for Bitcoin to catch on is through banks on: June 05, 2016, 02:13:09 PM
Since I joined this forum and the Bitcoin world, I couldn't help but notice how much most bitcoiners hate banks. OK, I agree they have done more harm than good to our society, but I also think the future of Bitcoin is tied to banks. What I mean is that in 20 years, a number of banks (or, ideally, all of them) will offer Bitcoin wallets and credit/debit cards linked to the former which will allow you to pay at the supermarket in the same way you do now. This is the only way for Bitcoin to explode. In the future I don't see the average Joe paying by using QR code scanning, smartphone apps, etc. Bitcoin can only catch on if its use requires no particular knowledge or skill on the user's part.

Agree totally. The future of bitcoin must be in some way connected with its legality and the only way we know regarding the management of money is managing those through the banks. The problem is that all the owners of the bitcoin (or almost all) hate banks. This is not the only thread that treat this problem. Me myself, have created one time ago. Almost all the reactions was hate of banks.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Egyptian police arrest a man for trading bitcoin on localbitcoin on: June 05, 2016, 02:05:28 PM
this is the guy account https://localbitcoins.com/accounts/profile/btc2okpay/

it seems that they contacted him on localbitcoin then they arrested him in the meeting

they released this statement about him
(Google translate may help you if you want to follow the full story)
https://facebook.com/MoiEgy/albums/1101763136534015/

the post summary :
It's the official Facebook page for the Egyptian Ministry of Interior.

Basically the article says a 30 year-old Egyptian dentist, which it names as Ahmad A. H., was arrested for trading in foreign currencies. The security services contacted him on localbitcoin, and arranged an exchange of $13,900 for BTC at a rate of $570/btc. They met him in New Cairo and arrested him. He had $13,900 USD on him and a tablet, as well as pictures of various exchanges and deposits. The article concludes saying he confessed to the incident confirming that he was using the tablet and money to buy Bitcoin, and that he was put in front of the public prosecutor.

The article doesn't specify what the exact charge is, but it does mention trading in foreign currencies several times. Many of the comments refer to the government as ignorant or stupid, and asking where is the crime?

it seems that bitcoin is going to be illegal in Egypt soon !

There is no data about the status of bitcoin at Egypt but as can be seen the status of the lion of the cryptos at this country is "not desirable". What a stupid behavior...
259  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: June 04, 2016, 03:08:17 PM
Again, something happened with the bot?
For today was paid for only one post. Embarrassed

Give it some more time and see if it updates.

Is the waves that don't leave it to count correctly. Wink All the attention of YoBit is concentrated at the sell of waves which are not from the staff of this token. So have no time to count regularly the posts of the signature campaign.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: March 17, 2016, 08:26:06 AM
Just a thought,
BTC was made with a small budget by one or a few peeps as an experiment...
experiment was to test lots of things..it passed almost all tests..but had some major flaws discovered after a few years of BTC launch
satoshi has to choose, keep patching up early code, but this will make things worse long term, and he has a bigger vision , he realises BTC cant do it and he needs a bigger fund.
so he decides to create a new coin...but cant use the satoshi name as it will have a very bad effect on BTC price. How many devs have made more than 1coin and been succesful with them both? dev making new coin pisses off old coin community. (if cobbles made a new coin , ltc would die , if evan made a new coin dash would die)

what if satoshi is directly involved with eth....
pump btc price to ath at same time do a first ever crypto ico...no need to touch btc premine  Wink

then theres the main man... Nick, The last known public communication from Nick Szabo was in November 2013 ( same time as btc ath ), leaving many to wonder whether he would ever post again. The seven months silence seems to have followed increasing attention on Nick Szabo after numerous suggestions that he might be Satoshi. In April 2014, researches from Aston University’s Centre for Forensic Linguistics claimed that forensic analysis of Bitcoin’s White Paper suggests that Nick Szabo was the author of the paper....https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/nick-szabo-bitcoin-founder-satoshi-nakamoto-breaks-silence-tweet/

ETH launches and Nick comes back  Wink...https://twitter.com/nickszabo4?lang=en-gb/           Nick Szabo ‏@NickSzabo4 Mar 2  Nick Szabo Retweeted George Hallam Why has Ethereum been headed towards the moon? It's computer science, not rocket science:
He makes an extremly rare appearance only for ETH...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y3fWXA6d5k  - DEVCON1: History of the Blockchain - Nick Szabo

coincidentally at around same time btc weaknesses become increasing exploited.

Im begining to think we got satoshi with us  Smiley

That's more than "just a thought".

That's a Hollywood blockbuster starring Leo DiCaprio (Wolf of BlockChain)!

I think Ethereum is the Answer in the Cryptoworld, there was many trash Coin, now we got the Result and the Result is Ethereum. Just think about the bandwidth about, slockit is just a small part based on Ethereum. They bring physical and digital together. I look into a nice future with Ethereum, we all see a revolution in the digital World, im happy to be a Part of it Smiley

Enjoy the rise of Revolution Cool

........?!?!? And it say exactly when the moment ETH collapsed?!? I hope you're right in general ......

Dont worry mate, its just a correction. Now its a good time to buy cheap ETH, take ETH as a long investment. Its to much pontential in this Project to fall. On prices like that i just buy ETH. Its the best Project i see the last 3 Years, im not worry about.

Agree totally. Think that is good time to buy. At least this is what I will do.
