I miss the trolls already. Come back trolls! You were fueling whitecoin even more!
You scared them off by saying they're helping the coin. FUD and trolls - the sign of a good coin ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

+1 to post by Stratobitz I have a good feeling about this coin. In my mind the more FUD a coin gets the better it is ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

How about considering future coin developments such as POS?
I am not convinced of the goodness of Proof Of Stake. Donīt you think it reduces/eliminates the privacy? Even I have read it is not secure. "5) Other individuals may prefer the privacy associated with dropping out of participation. These individuals are still welcome to use the network, but must face a wealth tax of 5% per annum to compensate for the security risk created by their behavior. "https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Proof_of_StakeAnd other problems could arise: "I think Andrew Miller put it best: "The trouble with Proof-of-stake is that there is nothing at stake."
Consider the basic function of proof-of-work and the blockchain: together, they let the network come to a consensus when there are two (or more) different, competing chains.
Miners must decide to dedicate their hashing power to just one chain-- they cannot "bet on" more than one. So their best strategy is to work on the chain that they think most other miners are working on, and that quickly drives the system to a consensus on a single, best chain.
The trouble with proof-of-stake is there is no natural incentive stopping a miner from assigning their stake to multiple, competing chains. If you try to create such a system, you "go meta" -- you started by trying to solve the transaction double-spend problem (which proof-of-work and the blockchain handle nicely), and end up trying to solve a proof-of-stake double-spend problem."http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1oi7su/criticisms_of_proofofstake/I am not an expert on this matter but I don't like PoS. There are some good criticisms and there is also evidence that POS combined with POW can make the blockchain more secure from such things as 51% attack.... however I take your point that there may be security and privacy issues with POS. My comment was rather to prompt conversation and discussion about POS and if it is right to consider it for this coin. For example EBT has a combined POS / POW scheme and appears to be doing well out of it even though it is Scrypt. There, up to now, has been no issues with security etc. I was just thinking that POW with POS should not be ruled out for the future.... but with correct discussion, research and evidence of security.

Just gave the first 1000 CTD to a new reader on Reddit - 249,000 CTD left to give away to new subscribers and people who promote on Reddit
This community is alive and kicking
CateDoge has a lot going for it...... more marketing and promotion would do this coin a world of good.
May I suggest on Twitter, Facebook etc.
How about considering future coin developments such as POS?

For my sins I have created an IRC channel for this coin irc://freenode/bctcoin http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#bctcoinI can only be OP for a couple of hours per day so I will choose more OP's as I go along. This is the first time I have been OP on IRC so you will have to bear with me until I learn the ropes The channel is now up and running.

Distribution model doesn't seem right. You premined 25M coins and only send up to 625 coins? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) It's very funny. I'd say the right way to do it is start a list with claims from users and keep it open for 30 days. After 30 days divide all coins between users who claimed coins. 01-25 Posts - 1 part 26-50 Posts - 2 parts 51-75 Posts - 2.5 parts Above 75 Posts - 3 parts So if 500 75+ users, 1000 51-75, 1500 26-50 and 2000 newbies claimed coins they'll receive: 01-25 Posts - 2777 coins 26-50 Posts - 5554 coins 51-75 Posts - 6942 coins Above 75 Posts - 8331 coins In your model you're throwing a small bone to naive people and getting rich. I bet most coins you'll keep for yourself. From page 1 of this post: 70% Premine Coins Goes to World Wide Selected Charities 25% Premine Coins Will be insenteved to BitCoinTalk.org Forum 1000 active users above 100 Posts , First Come First Serve. 3% Premine Coins Given to Bounties 2% Premine Coins Dedicated to Development & Promotions. 25% of 2.5 mill = 625000 1/1000th of 625000 = 625 The maths works out fine ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) edit: this coin is 5 million not 50 million

Nice working wallet..... great job dev

Actually a POS feature would have been nice to BCT
I should imagine it would be difficult to add POS on at this stage? It would make this a complete coin though ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

BCT is such good solo mining now, I have revised my target holding from 5K to 10K coins
|
|
|
Tried to trade some of my BCT on swaphole but someone crashed the price waaaaaay down... pulled my coins back to my wallet... will see what other exchange pops up.
At least no one is selling at 1 SAT ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I'm holding and mining. This coin will make 0.01 easily, there will only be 5 million and being community, charity and keccak will make this coin fly when it hits mainstream.

Looks like this coin needs serious intensive care
Shame cause I have 13K of them
Also a shame as this coin has a good concept. You only need a wallet to get them.
Needs someone to check the chain out and deal with any forks (if there are any) and fix any wallet issues.
They then need to setup more faucets or at least a community one where there are no adverts and larger payouts
Hope the dev is just working on the issues......
If not perhaps the dev can release the coin to the community for someone to take it over?
I'm the other faucet operator, i'm indeed seeing slow drips, but it is dripping as intended. The payouts were decided by the dev, not me, so complain about that to the dev. And my advert is a interstitial that doesn't pops up everytime, faucets need a way to maintain themselves, don't you think? I didn't intend to offend existing faucets, more I was trying to offer advice to the dev on making this coin successful. I agree you need to offer ads to maintain running costs and I am glad that you are still around with a commitment to this coin. I just wish more could join you. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
