Probably someone taking profit - we want this actually - the smaller the max profit the more smaller bets - we want as many small bets as possible - each gives the edge a chance to take it's tiny little nip out of the money... Plus - the fewer investors the more pro rata we remaining ones get! :-) I completely agree with the advantages you mentioned. Nevertheless something is weird about this 7k coins, because the major investors didn´t change according due to the stats in Deb´s blog: http://just-dice.blogspot.de/There isn´t a single investor which could withdraw that many coins from the site´s bankroll. It has to be either a bunch of investors taking profits or the site bankroll display is messed up. did you consider the possibility that a single big investor has split his investment onto multiple accounts? maybe for safety reasons. that is of course an alternative explanation. Sorry I absolutely forgot that it may be common for large investors to split up their investments into multiple accounts  |

The daily transaction volume for Bitcoin is close to BTC100,000, after taking in to account all the minor exchanges and peer-to-peer transfers. That is equivalent to some $50 million at today's exchange rates. (Check Blockchain.info charts for reference).
So it is wrong to say that Bitcoin is having daily volumes of $300 million. In reality, the transaction volume is around one-sixth of that amount.

I anticipate large price increases like there was with Bitcoin.
at current prices there must be an influx of 1,89 million $ per day if all mined BTC are sold immediately... after the block reward change only 945k $ per day would be needed in order to maintain the price. Therefore I completely agree with you that a BTC price increase is basically the lock of the century (assuming that the price doesn´t reach new heights well before the block reward change or some major event like a flaw in the bitcoin protocol or something similar) thank you guys! |

There is no exact date. But look up at what block it happens and then divide by the recent averaged block time (lets say over a couple of months). If the hashrate maintains the rate of increase then the date that you get will be close to the actual date. where do I find the information at what block number the decrease should happen? thank you anyways for your help |
