241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teenagers and bitcoin on: July 31, 2015, 07:49:02 PM

Kids nowadays can make money off the internet. Bitcoin will be huge when all those kids in youtube get paid with Bitcoin and can spend it on videogames without any 3rd parties agreeing with or not.

Aye, but parents can just start demanding that they contribute towards the cost of the household if they are in a position to be so frivolous. The little shits!
242  Economy / Speculation / Re: Direction is NNE (north northeast) - MOON TIME on: July 31, 2015, 11:43:08 AM
There's been a full on assault on this thread by the madam of choppery, so we should proceed with caution or lol. Up to you.

Bit like a bouncy castle being assaulted though, isn't it?

But I survived. Victory ahead!

Are not you tired of trolling man?! In one thread you urge to buy and in another one u preach to sell !

I think his answer is that no he hasn't had enough. He bloody loves it!!
243  Economy / Economics / Re: Greece Cannot Pay, Greece Will Not Pay on: July 31, 2015, 11:01:48 AM
Is there any question that Germany will accept debt relief? Are we not approaching a stage where minds are taught that the IMF holds the most sway in situations like this? This is one scenario I can consider.

They might disagree as is reported and the IMF supplies no further funds to Greece, leaving Greece in a predicament. It's one hell of a slow show though. Gambling in the sports arena was far more exhilarating than the bitcoin arena.
244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Direction is NNE (north northeast) - MOON TIME on: July 31, 2015, 08:56:20 AM

This is the most flaccid rocket I've ever seen.

Apparently you can't fuel a rocket to the moon using just Kool-Aid.

The price could still be $290 two weeks from now and you'd still be saying "zomg its about to take off, buckle your seat belt"!!

After seeing you for days and days spam threads saying "any moment now and its off to the moon!!!1", then I'm afraid ask, no one takes you seriously.

If it does go up in price this week by a lot, then you will have hardly predicted anything, or given anyone any reason to think you know what you are talking about.

Saying 'any moment now' for days and days and days (possibly longer then I realize), and nothing happens, means you are just fucking wrong ask.

So you have our permission not to post your thoughts as much as you do. Trust us, we can live without your 'expertise'.

His doom and gloom thread is decent too. He just needs a sideways all summer thread and he has all his angles covered.

Well, it seems that I was way toooo motivated and I've miscalculated it, same as Ask.

I've around 6 BTC now which I entered long with, I'm thinking about either shorting or selling before the doom happens.

So because you believed this guy originally and now he has changed his tune you believe him again? Why?

two accounts one person  Grin

Yeah?

Blah blah blah
248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Direction is NNE (north northeast) - MOON TIME on: July 30, 2015, 07:30:14 PM
RSI is very low.

Bears be cautious! Bulls time to buy!

Is low RSI a signal to buy? What happens if no one buys?
249  Economy / Gambling / Re: UK Gambling Commission says UK based sites need a license! on: July 30, 2015, 06:31:34 PM
We received another reply. In short, IP blocking is the only solution this "commission" would find 'satisfactory'. I also noticed it's been two different people back and forth, they are colleagues as described in their letters:
Chris Pryor
Senior Officer - Disclosure

Chris Sullivan
Manager - Remote Investigations

Anyway, this is unfortunate for UK users as we don't have any alternatives; we've asked him before if we can buy his license and he said no because they don't accept Bitcoin. As our operations are 100% bitcoin, it gives us no other choice but to follow the other operators and block UK-based users. We could also 'just do nothing and see what happens' (probably nothing), but from an operations point of view, this is easier and wouldn't keep our dev team up at night worrying to have to move hosting. In terms of the 'threat' if we don't comply, this is what he had to say:

Quote
Please set out, in detail, as to why you cannot take implement IP blocking as a means of preventing
users in Great Britain from accessing you site, if this is in fact the case. We again request that you
should take immediate steps to remedy the situation.
We remain of the view that by allowing consumers located in Great Britain to access
[our website] you are potentially committing a criminal offence. If you do not satisfy us that
you have taken reasonable steps to prevent such access, we will pursue other avenues to prevent
the unlicensed activities. This may result in the website no longer being accessible.

We're contemplating adding a custom page for UK users to point them the way of VPNs, I wonder if that would fly.

Well what a great big bully it seems that the commission is being.
250  Economy / Economics / Re: [CHART] Bitcoin Inflation vs. Time on: July 30, 2015, 07:25:59 AM
The price of bitcoin inflation is directly connected to time since the algorithm was designed with time being one of its main essences.
So I believe that as more time passes more Bitcoins are mined and less will be available to mine while the difficulty will be insane. So, the price of bitcoin over time should go up!

Unless the devs kill each other with forks, the most appropriate murder weapon.
251  Economy / Economics / Re: Your thoughts on Greece? What's the most likely outcome in your opinion? on: July 29, 2015, 09:37:51 PM
The greeks must stick to the rules given by the European Union and save money. If you do that you will successfully beat the the situation you are facing. That is your only way out, so save money pay bigger taxes and you will payout the dept you owe

Haha, "payout the dept you owe". Thanks i needed that. Haha.
252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 29, 2015, 08:38:19 PM

Not really bearish for bitcoin is it? Why do bitcoin users need Tor? This has no direct link to affecting the price & future of bitcoin. Nice try at a bit of casual Thursday night FUD.

You mean Wednesday?
253  Economy / Speculation / Re: how many people in the world own any amount of Bitcoin? on: July 29, 2015, 07:47:43 PM
There are 523083 registered members here so from that I deduce about 7 people hold bitcoin.

This is clearly wrong. It's obviously 58008, the best number to type in to a calculator.
254  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 29, 2015, 07:40:53 PM
it's good this looking for possible patterns occurring bollocks isn't it?
Possible head and shoulders.

It doesn't works in that way.

I have yet to see any of this technical analysis stuff play out. I have read a small amount and I am observing, as I find it somewhat interesting. The stuff you have been spouting over in your own thread has been "off base" so far and having browsed through your previous posts it appears that the definition of 'permabull' would be quite fitting to you. I hope those rose tinted glasses keep things rosy for you.

256  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will Ethereum's launch affect BTC's price? on: July 29, 2015, 12:05:16 PM
I think I am the first to answer the question in the title.
The launch will make bitcoin price go up. Why? I dunno.
257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pattern Recognition 101 on: July 28, 2015, 10:33:10 PM
Got it, you mean until $400, it's a must-buy cheap coins.
It's a must-buy cheap coins until fiat no longer exists. Fiat is intrinsically worthless in a cryptocurrency world. All fiat will regress to this true value sooner or later.

The two currently coexist and both currently have value. My prediction is fiat will not be around in 5,000 years, probably a lot sooner.
258  Economy / Speculation / Re: Direction is NNE (north northeast) - MOON TIME on: July 28, 2015, 08:00:45 PM
Why?
might be stupid question

He likes to excite people.

Price is ready to take next step higher...

I'm guessing we have a Monday morning surprise.  Wink

I expect BRUTAL rise in less then 5 hours...
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 28, 2015, 09:05:06 AM
Bitcoin is currently at the same stage you just hodl your long position until the market stops looking bullish

For a permabull the market always looks bullish.

Only trolls can't see that the whole crash from ~1200 to ~160 is nothing more than a bull flag!  Cheesy

if you just look at the chart BTC is currently for the first time really in a bullish phase...

The problem is there is nothing fundamental backing this Bull-trend up like Interest rate decision etc. pp.

There's fundamentals backing up of long term bull trend:

  • fiat QE and the debt mess combined with BTC limited supply
  • useful integrated payment network (uncensorable, hidable)
  • people start to 'get that'

add some time to that mix and you'll have quotes like
