Here one more for the books!  Cool Cool Cool Cool Tongue

Huh The radiators should be mounted in the front (in order to intake the coolest air).   Roll Eyes

Edit:  Hmmmm...are there 6 rads in that case?

I'll take the sportwood spotswood case. Can you tell me how much shipping would cost to Ontario, Canada?

Sorry to sound like a broken record but any updates regarding these?
Expect a PM later today.  I apologize for the delay.

Teal, Please design the board to be friendly for high capacity cooling system such as immerse cooling

An immersion friendly board would have all of the connectors along the "top" edge.

spotswood did a nice job with those cases... Their perfect fit for your setup!~

Thanks, he did an excellent job!

If you can please post the Rev number(s) from the supplies you've used that have worked - I may just order some with the same Rev number instead of going too crazy modding the boards.  The supplies are all over the place on Ebay - cheap.  That's probably the easiest way out (for me at least)

Just a follow-up from this and the other thread.

The two supplies we have that are running two of sidehack's boards are both A02 revisions.

With that revision the knob knobulates as expected.   Cool

My Rev A00 also works.  Grin

How do the units not fall through? What holds each unit in place?

Nice frame BTW.

Thanks.

The miners rest on a "lip" formed by the different widths of the flat bar:

Anybody have a mechanical drawing of the (currently shipping) controller board and its mounting holes?

Might not be the first.   Wink
But, good job either way.

How do you screw the Graphics cards in?

The current version has a milled piece of extrusion:

Previously, two pieces of extrusion were used like a clamp:

I plan on building a small batch of the Gridseed cases this weekend.

Send me a PM, indicating which version and quantity you are interested in (A, B, or C)?  See OP: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=476224.msg5250985#msg5250985

Note: All models can be stacked.

In scrypt only mode a single good 600Watt atx psu or a couple of standard industrial psu will be enough so why have all that free space on the rig?
...

Again, not that much free space.

254  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] ATX PSU to 2.5 or 2.1/5.5mm 12V coaxial plug power cables [New Product!!] on: March 06, 2014, 02:39:54 AM
@ADutchGamer - you read my mind. Smiley  Here is my modular cable design for ATX powering of gridseed miners.

...

You can see from the design that this setup allows for dual mode miners to run safely with only 3 plugs per PCIe and allows for expansion of up to 15 plugs for scrypt miners on a single PCIe connector from the PSU. It also works well for those with 10 units as it leaves a single plug free to power a 12V usb hub if needed.

I have pretty much finalized the design except for the actual lengths needed. I could really use some help on that from anyone who has these units. I need to know approximately how long 5 units are end to end similar to how they would be in a spotswood case and also how far apart the individual plugs on the units are (pitch).

I have been pointed to a manufacturing house and will be getting a quote in to them as soon as the BOM, final measurements and order tally are finished. Once that is done I should get the prototype for testing from them and have pricing for you guys. If you haven't already drop a message here or in PM about how many devices you will be powering so I can determine what size order to put in, thanks.

If you have any comments or questions please feel free.

Approx 12-inches from the PSU to the front miner.

I need a solution for 50 with or without fans

Three of these would be pretty darn compact:

... stackable and then .. you just designed what I was looking for ...

Here you go (pictured w 20-inch box, for those in the US):

It's an interesting idea but only if you mine scrypt...you have stacked 5 module so in sha256 each stack is 300watt.
There's no way to dissipate 600watt (2 stack) with a common 20" case fan (that fan seems the antec big boy)... they will burn like an exposed uranium rod  Grin
I thought it was obvious...yes, this design is for scrypt mining only.   Cheesy
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed Miner Support/Tuning on: March 05, 2014, 01:07:25 PM

That is just ... what I need ... if that would be stackable too ... perfect for scrypt mining ...

maybee the part with out miners could be hold smaller ... it only needs 2 power supply or one atx ... and 2 usb hubs ....

great stuff spotswood

Its not that big:

258  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Multi-tier open-air case for Gridseed miners on: March 05, 2014, 12:47:08 PM
Uhhh! Me too Smiley

Sexy!

Do you think its a bit too generous with the space at the side though? I am going to run these using one standard ATX PSU so i need space for that, two USB hubs and two tiny TPlink controllers only (taking 5V power from the PSU too).

Or - I need something to house 60pcs miners plus 3 ATX PSU, 6 usb hubs and 6 TPlink controllers?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=74397.msg5500849#msg5500849

What are the dimensions of the USB hubs and controllers?

I thought about building a 20 Gridseed-miner tower

like this ...  with 200mm fans in between

...

would look like electronical art ...

My idea of laying these miners end-to-end would work nicely in a 4U case, but here's what I came up with for open-air cooling with 2x 200mm fans:

Of course, the depth of the "case" could be increased to make more room for all of the other **** that is required with these miners.
