241  Economy / Economics / Re: so btc value is finished? on: March 27, 2014, 09:22:30 PM
Bitcoin will be around 200 soon, there are better coins now. Bitcoin has no advantage other than being the first
Litecoin crashed even more than BTC.
242  Economy / Economics / Re: Technological unemployment is (almost) here on: March 27, 2014, 09:02:37 PM
I think there is a certain line that people will not want to cross with automation due to society's ingrained fear of "thinking robots."
Since original Luddite riot (19th century) all mainstream politicians in first-world countries share pro-automation views.

As all collectivist / totalitarian you lack trust in people.
What, what?! Shocked I think at least 30-40% will support collectivist economy, in some countries like Russia it is >60%.

From the fact that you can't imagine different solutions does not follow that they don't exist.
These solution were discussed many times in this thread! All of them are either some for of socialism or "starve the useless people". You have to admit that there are no third way!
244  Economy / Economics / Re: Technological unemployment is (almost) here on: March 27, 2014, 03:57:45 PM
@anu and supporters: you must understand that Ayn Rand and any other laissez faire ideology simply won't work in the era of technological unemployment! You may don't like socialism, but ALL solutions to the OP problem contains parts of it.
245  Economy / Economics / Re: Technological unemployment is (almost) here on: March 27, 2014, 02:54:26 PM
That's the Socialist spirit: Use violent force to solve all problems. Force entrepreneurs to work and rob them at gun point. Much good did that way of doing economics do to the Argentinian and Venezuelan economy.

You see, it doesn't stay there: Put yourself in the shoes of an entrepreneur and ask yourself what you would do. You would probably move to some other country. So the next reaction of govt is clear: Build a wall around your country to prevent people from escaping BIG paradise - tried and tested Socialist practise.

Say: From what will you pay the Guaranteed Income (TM) when entrepreneurs use their creativity not to produce but to escape.
In planned economy there won't be any need to motivate entrepreneurship at all (this have some disadvantages of course, but at least unemployed won't starve). People who don't like this system will be free to leave the country, so what a problem?!
246  Economy / Economics / Re: Technological unemployment is (almost) here on: March 26, 2014, 09:49:19 PM
It requires much higher taxes and/or central planning, as this thread' poll suggests. It will result in even more involvement of govt in every day life. It will result in more tax evasion and thus a war against tax evasion.
Therefore a probably outcome is nationalization of the means of production by state, so corporations' owners won't be able to hide profits.

I'd expect the prison population of BIG countries to exceed that of the US today if BIG is financed through taxes. If, for example Switzerland were to introduce BIG and finance that partly through VAT, the current habit of Swiss people to shop and fill the tank in neighboring countries can no longer be tolerated. Bern will need more, much more law enforcement.
If basic income implemented, I think most countries will shift from imprisonment to property confiscation as a punishment.
247  Economy / Economics / Re: Technological unemployment is (almost) here on: March 24, 2014, 10:11:53 PM
Then you better get ready for it. I agree with tinus42 that this inevitable. The elites have always loathed the plebs, in every system. Think what the much adored Spartans did to the Helots - they regularly culled their numbers to what was useful.

Question is, what will you do with your AK47 in a time of micro drones and localizers?
I hope to the time when tech unemployment will hit hardly 3D-printers will evolve enough to print complex metal structures (i.e. rifles, pistols, SAM missiles to destroy drones etc) and be affordable for the masses. Elites will think again before starting the war.  Wink
248  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Dailybitcoins.org] Bitcoin faucet, sponsored by ads on: March 24, 2014, 05:01:38 PM
I am regular on site but now thinking to leave because btc crush and 50 satoshi per dispense is very low please do some about this  Sad
The whole idea of Daily Bitcoins is to motivate users to spend the time on the site by catching prizes and not just took a booby one and immediately leave.
There are a lot of custom prizes, so try catching them and your earnings will boost!
249  Economy / Economics / Re: Technological unemployment is (almost) here on: March 24, 2014, 04:56:12 PM
I can imagine that the vast majority of humanity will be sterilized or euthanized when it gets to the point that most people lose their jobs to automation. The only people who still have a function in society will be the capital owners who pay for the machines and the inventors and scientists who invent and develop them. All the rest will be useless and will be deemed unfit to survive. Roll Eyes
I would better take AK-47 in my hands and fight to dead instead of accepting your variant.

Both parties have incentives for the person in bondage to reach his full potential.
And I have an incentive to kill both the VC and the slave, because I would rather die than live in a world that tolerated such iniquity.
Agree with you and I think a lot of people will do the same I wrote above in this post.
250  Economy / Economics / Re: Technological unemployment is (almost) here on: March 24, 2014, 03:43:32 AM
Giant the thing is, this is something that a person isn't necessarily forced to do; I don't have to all of a sudden give all my shares to someone because its being enforced
I capitalistic system with high level of technological unemployment it will be the only option remaining  - and yes, it's a voluntary choice of the free man! Grin
251  Economy / Economics / Re: Technological unemployment is (almost) here on: March 24, 2014, 01:35:47 AM
The angel investor couldn't just sit around and hope he gets a job, since he spent all this money it's in the angel investors best interests to not only get this kid in the right school, but to also line up employment for him afterwords using his own track record as a referral for a particular position.
Personally, I would prefer that the government or community would "care" through all your life as USSR did. Selling yourself as a slave to the private investor or corporation is inhumane and I think these contracts won't be ever enforced in the most countries!
252  Economy / Economics / Re: Technological unemployment is (almost) here on: March 23, 2014, 11:34:37 PM
IE: a poor african child in zambia has most of his shares purchased by an angel investor, and learns that this kid would be able to do some really great things if he went to school, so he pays for  highschool/university and in return expects an income from his future engineering work proportional to the share ownership in that person, and then that angel investor is also owned in part by other speculative investors (maybe his parents or his university) essentially fair, accountable and humane bondage.
USSR used the same mechanism (only difference that communist party's bosses took some profit share instead of angel investor's in your example).

There are *elements* of socialism that could be workable, in a voluntary society. But the whole picture? Only if we become something like the Borg. If that's the vision of the future that most people want, I'll be bowing out.
I think it is inevitable! Genetic modifications are need to continue race against machines in the long run, otherwise humans will have no application even in socialism and start degrading when bots do 100% of work.
253  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Dailybitcoins.org] Bitcoin faucet, sponsored by ads on: March 23, 2014, 09:25:32 PM
today I have 10 clicks and just 4 time I have prize
Prizes are not dependent from clicks. You need to look at the payout schedule and try to catch the on appropriate time!
254  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Dailybitcoins.org] Bitcoin faucet, sponsored by ads on: March 23, 2014, 02:29:59 PM
Bitcoin rate too much any chance of increasing hourly rate because right now its worthless please think about this
OK, I will add more non-booby prizes.

BTW, Bitcoin price is expected to grow in the future and the prizes you receive now will worth much more later.
255  Bitcoin / Press / Re: Dubai could have 400 fully operational Bitcoin ATMs in the next two weeks on: March 22, 2014, 10:11:16 PM
Think about this: you might go 5-10 Km to buy bitcoin. But would you go 20? 50? If they saturate they can make it easy for everyone.  Just a guess. :-)
If there would a Bitcoin ATM 50 km away from the city where I live, no doubt I would use it. Spending few bucks on gasoline and 1 hour of time is not so big problem IMHO.
256  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-03-18] 400 (!) BTC ATMs in Dubai within 2 weeks? on: March 22, 2014, 10:06:07 PM
There are a lot of rich people in Dubai and exposing Bitcoin to them could boost BTC price.
257  Economy / Speculation / Re: What'd happen if Satoshi dropped all his BTC into the market? on: March 22, 2014, 01:09:08 AM
I think Bitstamp and BTC-E owners will simply ban to sell such large amount (Bitcoin price collapse will destroy their businesses).
258  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] AdBit.co - Advertising platform, better than clicks/views! on: March 20, 2014, 04:04:43 AM
160x600 would be nice!
259  Economy / Economics / Re: Technological unemployment is (almost) here on: March 17, 2014, 07:42:12 PM
Capital assets in the form of dividend paying stocks for instance can provide basic income. You do not need to tax the rich to feed the poor because economic growth can pay enough in dividends to provide basic income to entire cities or entire countries. I hope to show that you can use the levers of capitalism even easier than you can use the levers of government and without any confrontation because you decide how to distribute your shares.
Interesting, who will voluntary give away these shares for free to the unemployed?! Shocked
260  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2013-03-14] No barriers to regulate Bitcoin according to Jeremy Allaire on: March 16, 2014, 09:39:08 PM
@bitbitcoins, 1-year old news still actual? Shocked
