241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin bank, Necessary? on: January 24, 2020, 01:15:26 PM
First and foremost, do you really understand the word decentralization? If you do, then why are you asking whether bitcoin bank is necessary. Having a bitcoin bank simply means centralization is been introduced into the bitcoin ecosystem. Banks control the amount of funds you can send at a particular point or moment in time with ridiculous transaction fees. The bitcoin wallet is all that you need..
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many big powers agains crypto on: January 24, 2020, 01:02:33 PM
I just read this article and it really startled me. Seems "the big boys" are not betting on the crypto horse and would hope to see it die out.
Guess that is no news but when social media platforms are applying this type of censorship it crosses some limits in my book.
https://news.bitcoin.com/speculation-abounds-regarding-youtubes-removal-of-crypto-content/
Is this the beginning for a new crypto exclusive youtube clone?

This news is not anything new or surprise to us in the crypto space. It is a normal reaction by people who don't really understand and know what cryptocurrency or Bitcoin is and how relevant it is to the entire financial ecosystem. Also, people should understand that cryptocurrency do not need the acceptance of the so called big powers. They have no control over cryptocurrency or bitcoin...
243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will NOT surpass traditional methods of payment. Convince me. on: January 24, 2020, 12:19:42 PM
The real intention of Satoshi Nakamoto for Bitcoin was to introduce a new way of making financial transactions with more freedom and no third party involvement in the transaction. Personally, i don't really think Bitcoin was developed to surpass the existing traditional methods of payment. It was meant to be an alternative method of payment for people who do not want third party involvement in their transactions. But failed to achieve this due to the way people see Bitcoin. Bitcoin is now an asset rather than a digital currency for payment of goods and services.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: January 23, 2020, 05:32:58 PM
The answer to this is just simple, greed and selfishness. It is only greed that will make someone invest in a project knowing definitely that the conditions of what they have invest in is not really reliable and realistic. Greedy people are the ones getting scammed in the crypto space in recent time...
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum set new High in this Year on: January 23, 2020, 05:06:14 PM
The highest market value I can see Ethereum  reaching throughout this year 2020 will be within the range $200 and $300.  In as much that there are a lot of projects launching their network on the Ethereum blockchain, they usually do not have any significant impact on Ethereum. But all the same, the crypto market is full of surprises and anything can happen that might influence the market value of Ethereum...
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream for bitcoin on: January 23, 2020, 04:00:16 AM
We all have dreams for bitcoin that someday we will be able to use this coin freely and no other things to think since its already accepted by the society, and the government already stop holding bitcoins neck and allow it to be use without any policy or regulations, here is my dream this is how it will be organize
1 . BTC will be the primary money all over the world all the currency will be just secondary
2. All the world currency will be exchange to bitcoin slowly until its all illiminated
3. Altcoins will be use for very country and bitcoin as its Superior
In this form bitcoin will be the global currency, no one will control it no regulations, but will penalized who wouluse it in bad intenstions
rules will only apply to it not bitcoin totally,
I have an image here this is what I submit in 10th aniversary but this will illustrate how bitcoin will dominate
the world with the man with the mask of bitcoin who represents the people, and bitcoin over in the center of the world

Its always great to have positive dreams for Bitcoin and the entire crypto ecosystem but the reality is that, there is no way that fiat currencies will seize from existing. The best way for bitcoin and cryptocurrency can gain mass acceptance is when bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general fuse with fiat currency. People will always prefer fiat currency no matter how the financial evolves.
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the right way to teach them? on: January 23, 2020, 03:28:30 AM
We all know how worked hard Satoshi Nakamoto made the blockchain, for the ease of all of us, should we not do anything for this?
So the answer is yes, we too should do something.

That's why I and some of my friends have decided that we will. We will build a small academy with only two or three rooms, where we will tell people about blockchain, without any fees.

I want to know this from you, is this a good idea? Please tell me if this is not the right way.

We can only invest two or three months for this Academy.

Lessons:
How blockchain works.
How to send or receive.
How to buy/sell cryptocurrencies ( Trading).
What is the private Key.
What is the difference between Coins and Tokens.
What is ICO or IEO.

This is a wonderful initiative but you should also understand that you don't really need to set up an academy to educate people on what blockchain is and how it works. The internet and social media have made it easier to reach a large number of people from all walks of life in the world. You just have to create a platform on the internet and on social media platforms to educate people.
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My funds have been stolen! on: January 23, 2020, 03:21:12 AM
Hello,
I have a crisis! I have withdrawn (for the seventh time) to my BTC wallet.
After posting the funds (and obtaining two confirmations) - there was an outgoing transaction that was not authorized by me !! The transaction was released twenty minutes after the first confirmation - to some fresh address with no transaction history and is an RBF transaction. It's exactly a transaction at 0.4BTC.
My BTC address from which the funds were stolen: 1CCEQxuUkb6RKQM4TDYbQemBVs2ihe45ps
Address to which funds were sent:
3DTjnTxjPnePfvg3haTyUQQeFK2riuZ1Fr
Unauthorized transaction ID: 2f79dda8aea3f06400be07f04f65b6045ba2e0235efa0bba0f6d9d6375da421c

The transaction is marked as RBF!
I use client Electrum 3.3.8
There is no option for someone to steal a private key from your computer because I watch security all the time!

Is it going to somehow stop the flow of funds or recover them?
I am desperate because these funds were supposed to be for my mother's health.

This is quite a misfortunate that you experienced this. It is always advisable to keep your wallet safe at all time. There are a lot of people on the internet just waiting for people with weak security settings on their crypto wallets and rob them off their crypto coins. Its very sad that you did experience this. This might help you keep your wallet safe at all time.  And also avoid making transactions using a public internet connection. You just put yourself at the risk of getting hacked.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The future of bounty looks uncertain on: January 22, 2020, 05:53:07 PM
Scammers are the reasons why the future of bounty campaign looks uncertain. Most project managers and campaigns are mostly interested in making money rather than developing the project to solve real problems in the financial ecosystem and the world as large.
250  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Cost $ 25,000 by 2021? on: January 22, 2020, 05:43:08 PM
Bitcoin prices are going up and down these days. People are hopeful that the price of Bitcoin may well go up by 2021. Bitcoin has been legalized in a number of countries, due to which Bitcoin prices are now recovering. If the price of Bitcoin goes up to 25,000 by 2020, it will be very difficult to buy.

Well, the bitcoin market is full of surprises and also considering the price pattern of bitcoin throughout its existence,  its very possible to see its market value hitting $25k before 2020 comes to an end...   But people should invest wisely to avoid loosing huge investment funds.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY DOES BOUNTY PROJECTS TAKE TIME TO ENTER A MARKET on: January 22, 2020, 05:19:20 PM
I Notice that most projects that conducted bounty finds it difficult to enter the crypto market especially a quality market. i think most are afraid of been dump.
what are the possible reasons why tokens takes too much time before getting listed on exchange.

The basic reasons behind why most of the new crypto coins find it difficult to enter the crypto market is that, most of these crypto coins have projects that are not really relevant to either the financial ecosystem and the crypto ecosystem to be specific ..  once the project has no relevance, its crypto coin will not have impact on the crypto market...
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the value sold in ICO? on: January 22, 2020, 04:57:59 PM
Does anyone know why the amount raised of a coin is different to the value sold in a coin???  Huh

My basic understanding behind why the value of crypto coins during ICO or IEO different from that of its value when it is listed on an exchange platform is that, during ICO, the team behind the project usually want the general public to invest in their project with the hope of them making some reason profits out of their investments. Usually, the value of the project coin is given a low value to get a lot of people to invest in it.  For the actually value of the coin when it is listed on an exchange platform, its determined by the demand and supply of coin and its working project. If the project is really significant, the value of its crypto coin also gains the public attention causing either a raise or decrease..
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me? on: January 22, 2020, 04:44:41 PM
Well, it might be somehow true that January 2020 has not really seen a lot of bounty projects been launched. But that doesn't mean scammers are tired of developing scam projects. There will always be scammers in this crypto space due to the nature of the entire crypto ecosystem. We in the crypto space investing in crypto projects just have to be more careful and knowledgeable before investing into any project.

255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is PETER SCHIFF wrong about Bitcoin ??? Could you win a Bitcoin Debate ??? on: January 21, 2020, 06:16:06 AM
PETER SCHIFF talks a lot about bitcoin, and even invites people from here to his live-streams to debate him on the facts about Bitcoin.   Is Peter Schiff wrong in his bullet points about the properties and reality of Bitcoin ?   If so, let us know why he is wrong !!!   In a nutshell, here are a few of the things Peter Schiff is saying about Bitcoin:

1.   The Blockchain is the future of money, YES !!!   But Bitcoin is NOT, NOT, NOT the blockchain, an infinite number of crypto currencies can be created to use the blockchain.   Back in 1990, the internet was the future, but that does not mean the first internet browser ( Netscape 1.0 ) was the best and most valuable browser on the planet...   Competition came along and NETSCAPE went to zero, forgotten in the trash heap of history...  Just because Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency means NOTHING.  Gold backed, and other, better crypto currencies with better use and real backing will make bitcoin obsolete.  Is the world first FIAT currency the best and most valuable FIAT because it was first  ?

2.   The worlds most important Central Banks and Governments are purchasing as much GOLD as they can.  NONE of them are investing in Bitcoin.

3.   The future of cryptocurrency is most likely to be one backed by gold, or some other real asset.  A crypto backed by NOTHING is not any better than a fiat currency backed by nothing.

4.   It makes no difference how much effort and energy is required to create a bitcoin.  There are a lot of bad investments throughout history where a lot of labor and energy have resulted in bankruptcy and the creation of NOTHING.   The world does not value labor, or wasted computation power, it values CREATION OF REAL WEALTH, things that we can use and that make our lives better.   How much time and energy was used to create Enron ?  How much time and energy was used to create WeWork ? You think those companies prices are going to the moon just because of the amount of energy used to create them ?  Quick, buy your WeWork stock !!!

5.   There are a limited supply of an INFINITE number of crypto currencies.  If I create a crypto currency today, and make it so that only 24,000,000  " HARD FACTS COINS " can ever exit, does this give them a huge value ?   A limited supply of nothing is still nothing.

6.   LibraCoin will be MAJOR competition for Bitcoin.  Libra Coin will fulfill the promise of quick, easy, cheap transactions that bitcoin FAILED AT.   Remember the early promise of bitcoin being used like money for more efficient transactions, it FAILED.  Transacting in bitcoin is very expensive, and it never lived up to its original potential, so they just kept changing the narrative.  LibraCoin is just the first of many challengers that will appear in the coming years.

7.   Bitcoin is NOT a store of value, it a speculative investment.  No one is buying bitcoin to act as a savings account, the price of bitcoin can swing thousands of dollars in minutes.   GET REAL, everyone is buying bitcoin in the hopes it will go to 1,000,000 USD.   There is no such thing as a free lunch, the greater the reward, the greater the risk.  If Bitcoin can Skyrocket, it can go to zero just as quickly.

Any intelligent, and rational person could talk about the realities of their investment, anyone that can not is just investing based on greed and emotion.   So what would you say to the above arguments that Peter Schiff so frequently points out ?

First and foremost, Peter Schiff does not really understand the differences between blockchain and Bitcoin. Secondly, the entire world have the wrong understanding of what Bitcoin is and the true reasons behind why Satoshi developed Bitcoin and Blockchain. Due to this wrong understanding, the market value of Bitcoin keeps changing. Bitcoin was not meant to be an asset as a lot of people see it to be now. Satoshi only wanted Bitcoin to be a decentralized version of  online payment system like the existing online payment systems with no centralized body controlling how transactions are made. Finally, there are no real facts in the points made above.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin moves like Gold? on: January 21, 2020, 05:58:03 AM

According to the recent price chart, Bitcoin's move has been very similar to Gold's move.

Recently, after Trump delivered speech, the price of Bitcoin and Gold both went down.

And there were other cases that Bitcoin's move follows after Gold's move.

But is this still enough to say that Bitcoin moves like Gold?

You should understand that people in the crypto space doesn't really endorse speculations. It will be better if you add the source of this info to help others understand why you think Bitcoin is moving like Gold. But personally, I don't really agree with you on this. Bitcoin is in its own class considering the nature of the bitcoin market .
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I lost all my bitcoin on: January 21, 2020, 03:34:53 AM
Such is life mate. Some people learn it the hard way and others don't.  In as much that you lost your Bitcoin, life still goes on. Get a real job and everything will be okay.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What bitcoin ideas do you have? Share it! on: January 21, 2020, 03:21:56 AM
Personally I think the best way to promote Bitcoin is by creating a system that will help people understand and know what bitcoin is and the intended purpose behind why it was developed in the first place. I think people will really appreciate the use of Bitcoin when they truly understand why it was even created in the first place. I believe a lot of people in the crypto space do not understand why Bitcoin was developed.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hottest alts of 2020 on: January 20, 2020, 04:19:55 PM
What do you think the hottest alts will be this year?

Very interested in getting strong opinions on this.

What do you mean by the hottest altcoins? Are you talking about the altcoin that will experience huge change in its market value or the altcoin that will gain the attention of 90% of people in the crypto space?  Please explain further to give some of us clear understanding of your post...
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin provides more long-term profits on: January 20, 2020, 04:11:01 PM
Personally,  i don't really think holding altcoins for a long term is that profitable. Short term trading is currently the only way you can really make a decent amount of profit from Altcoin investment. Considering the altcoin market for a while now, it is very likely to make about 2% of your initial investment capital  after 6months of investing. Meanwhile, you can make the same amount of profit within a week if you are into daily trading. So why should i wait for 6 months to earn 2% whiles i can make the same amount trading daily within a week.
