you should wait. the Minimum stake time is 8hrs, the Maximum stake time is up to 30 days. XC was released couple days ago - it can take up to 30 days before your coins begin staking. just wait and don't move them and have the wallet sometimes "opened for minting". opening a encrypted wallet for minting can be done in 2 ways:
a) decrypt the wallet (not so cool and not necessarry)
b) goto help --> debug window --> console  and enter this text: walletpassphrase "your wallet Password without the quotes" 99999999 true

a) fully opens your wallet and b) leaves your wallet encrypted but allows it to stake

miners don't care that much about algo, they just care about profitability.
There are still people mining MRC, Yac, CacheCoin and BDC (the newcomer to scrypt-jane...)
And the advantage of scrypt-jane is that it is mostly under the radar of asic development. (I mean, there will never be any scrypt-jane asic unless btl become very profitable    )

If a new algo would have to be chosen, I would rather vote for groestl as there is no big improvement from cpu to gpu or anything else meaning everyone has his chance to get something.

I agree if changing the reward to 25 from 250, then the premine should be reduced as well, it was already huge, it would become insanely huge...
However assuming the airdrop takes place, it is better to give people something which is worth 4 block rather than something which is worth even not half a block (I would write I told you so, but I would need to search the message I posted few months ago about that on that thread  )

I'd be willing to donate some btc as well if a good dev can fix it (no wannabe devs ) , obviously it takes real skill and talent to fix a coin then it does to just "release" another copy coin as so many of these scam "devs" do.

I also think this coin would benefit from a reduction in either the total coins (10:1) OR reduce the interest so total coins wont grow more then 4-8M a year.  as the blockchain is stuck, critical changes such as this could implemented cleanly i think and new wallet would have everyone cleanly started.  afaik no PoS blocks have been mined so there would be no one getting an unfair bonus coins prior to an interest reduction, if a good dev implements it correctly.  I think most will also agree a blacklist if possible of the premine addresses if they still contain coin to prevent the scammers from being able to profit any further.

If a dev is willing to take up the task of fixing this, its important some discussion is held over changing some of the specifications.

actually, it is something which would be good to have as well as the "best share" and "difficulty".
I like the best share feature in cgminer, it gives an indication on how long you have to wait before finding a block.

I tryed other ports like 4445 or 8889 did not connect at all. Now I-m back on 22640 and i added listen:1 to the .conf file. It runs but should t I see detecting new block or somth like that when solo mining?

I use only 4 digit port 88xx or 98xx (I always use the same, so I can just copy on config file to the next coin)
add also daemon=1 and listen=1

I think, too, that the problem is with your wallet. Make sure the wallet config file matches what you use for the miner
(and may-be change the rpcport in both... sometime it works, I know that for certain port on my computer, I won't be able to connect a miner to the wallet)
