241  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin price update modification on homepage on: March 18, 2024, 08:13:36 PM
Price modification

Hi guys, I am relatively new here haven’t been around only months of this year but, in light of suggestions as to modifications that might instill some consciousness on users of this space, I want to make a suggestion that could prove useful in updates and not necessarily require users to look up other sites for something as vital and utmost necessity like the Bitcoin price.
It seems that these were my exact words as an innocent newbie. I made this request and was told that many others made such a request in the past. If you have used the search button, you would have understood that many people have actually made such suggestion. Not only you, I am still of the opinion that as the major cryptocurrency forum, there needa to be what you have suggested, atleast for the mother coin (BTC).

I have also read that the forum was hacked in the past, and as such theymos is reluctant to implement anything that will fetch data continuously outside the forum. Besides, there are many places to check price, let's keep using them.
242  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: March 17, 2024, 08:32:22 PM
As these monthly polls are mostly just a form of sentiment checkers in the forum, I'll limit the choices to just yes or no again.  And it would help if you post your thoughts itt.

Check this chart out.  Lolol really?  That's like one of the best runs I've seen of Bitcoin from an optics pov.  Is it really going to an all time high this month?  Can't believe it's happening tbh.  Sorry if I sound dumb rn.  I'm at a loss for words...

Bitcoin of wonders in the month of wonders. I have marked March and it seems to be a month of wonders. I could remember something spectacular had also happened in match last year. I voted that there will be reversal. There's no how the price will spike in such a manner and continue in upwards trend. It will have to cool off at some points and consolidate to build up again. But in general, it's gonna be a good year all through.

I mean April seems to be a better month to expect a huge rise.
Something different could happen immediately after halving, just like as it did immediately after ETF approval.
243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC go back to $40K - $30K range before a bigger rally? on: March 17, 2024, 08:18:14 PM
Will BTC go back to $40K - $30K range before a bigger rally?
No! I don't see this happening. It is more bullish inclined than bearish. Everything is gearing towards bull run, so we might not witness such a huge crash anymore unless a very serious negative fundamental happens.

From my own observation, since when the price of Bitcoin reached $35k the correction in it's price is not higher than $10k that is for instance, When the price of Bitcoin was around $35k, the highest it dropped was $30k, then it got to $43k and dropped around $38k, then it got to $48k and dropped to $38k, so with this analysis now that the price has reached an ATH of $73k and dropped around $65k I don't think it would drop to a lower level of $40k again no matter the corrections that will take place except maybe after the bull run.
Such a near perfect analysis. Although in this industry, nothing is so sure to be believed 100% but this analysis is something that can serve as a reference purpose.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 The Emirates FA Cup - Season 2023/2024 on: March 17, 2024, 07:56:28 PM
I find it difficult to believe that Manchester removed Liverpool in this competition, Manchester United scored what they used to call back days the Golden goal, Even Manchester United should have won Liverpool in the main 90th minutes of the game had Rashford scored that goal. Now the semi-final draw is at this moment out,
Manchester United will be facing Coventry city in the second to last game in the competition, whereas
Manchester city will be facing Chelsea in the FA Cup semifinal draw.
Manchester United has played like the Manchester United of old
It was an interesting Sunday in my side, although as a Manchester United fan it would have been more fund if I watched the match. But only watching the review of the match left me some laughter on my face. Manchester United really played like the Manchester United of Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gigs, Paul scholes and the rest of them. They entered the match with a lot of confidence unlike how they used to chicken out before other top teams in England as Manchester City. Manchester United goal keeper was very good today and it seems that he has regained his lost confidence.

If I were told that Manchester United could perform this wonders I wouldn't have believe because Liverpool coach is bowing out of the club at the end of this season, as such he needed this trophy more than any other coach. I also need to thank Rashford for giving Manchester United the equalizer that brought them back into the match, despite that he missed so much opportunities. Thanks to the hero young Danilo. I am just happy.
245  Other / Meta / Re: Reasons of be inactive on: March 17, 2024, 07:25:23 PM
You should not take the forum as an obligation to go to work. If someone has the idea that the forum is a duty, then there is something wrong with him. We are so overwhelmed by digitalization everywhere that we rarely have time to communicate with real friends offline. Therefore, if you see that a person’s activity has decreased, think that he has a more interesting life off the Internet.
Now, what you have said is the truth. I have read sometime in the forum that someone said they took a break from the forum in order to be committed to his girl friend. I couldn't actually decipher how that is possible. But later, I understood that people are just different and such is countries and ways of life. I cannot imagine myself taking break from the forum because of relationship. I mean here doesn't actually consume much of my time. I visit the forum mostly at night during bed time and spend few hours and might not log in again till the next night.
What I'm saying in a real sense is that some people actually take break and not because they are out of signature campaign.

Another reason can be that because of the signature campaigns that some forum users are in that have been running for a very long time, some members have been exhausted mentally, they take and consider the time their signature campaign stops as a brief moment to recharge themselves mentally by staying away from the forum a bit.
Maybe they consider it as a leave? Grin
246  Other / Meta / Re: Why was my post deleted? on: March 17, 2024, 06:04:59 PM
Why was my post deleted?
Maybe I should consider to make a thread on "Why was my post deleted"?. I have read some random questions as the above recently in meta by newbies.
247  Other / Meta / Re: Poll: Colored Text Usage in Forum Posts on: March 17, 2024, 05:54:50 PM
Op, are you a designer? I think designers like Jay, Hugeblack and more should be the ones with great affinity to coloration. The real question should be, what is the essence of using these colours. It could be to Warn, to emphasize, and more. If so, these things doesn't appear so often, why use then often. This forum is not like the social media with great graphics, anything added here that is more than the default will always want to battle with the background of the forum. Even reading Op, I was pissed to understand that you wrote upto 3 paragraphs on bold. What exactly was the essence of bolding the whole thread. Keep it simple, anything you do more than the default will not only stress you but other forum users as well.
248  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit abuse and probably account hacking on: March 16, 2024, 09:33:33 PM
What I don't get though, if someone goes through all the trouble to get some Merit in his Newbie account, why not make a worthy post first so it's less suspicious? Even better: if they'd make a good enough post, they wouldn't even need to buy the Merit.
Spammers aren't the brightest Tongue
It is easier to send merits to a one line post than to make a quality post. It takes internet connection, brain, knowledge, time, research, good English and more to make a quality post. But takes just a few click to send out merits. It could also be that some of the merit abuses are not intending to join campaigns, are there other privileges that merits qualifie one to get?
249  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why are so many of my posts not being posted? on: March 16, 2024, 06:18:16 PM
Surely you are losing many users over this?

Grow up kid! The world does not stop if someone is dead. In the same manner the forum will grow without you. Look at it's history and those who have been here for long. They have grown and have achieved reputation which is known and acknowledged by the Bitcoin community within and outside the forum. We don't need brats like you who never bother to read the rules of posting. It is imperative that you follow the rules and guidelines before cribbing about something that you don't know or failed to understand.
@pakhitheboss, do you know OP before? I think the words you used were so hash for a newbie who knows nothing about the forum wait time. I guess when you were a newbie, you didn't just know about the wait time. It took you some times to figure out how things work here. This is one of the nasty behaviour towards newbies we talk about. I suggest you be more lenient with newbies.

Op, please you need to read what DdMrDdMr said above. I think by now you shouldn't be encountering such challenge because your activity is grown.
250  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A curious Newbie!! on: March 16, 2024, 11:54:26 AM
Hi everyone, I'm a newbie with crypto knowledge though.
Welcome newbie with crypto knowledge. It is fine that you are a newbie with crypto knowledge. I think you will be better and will excel more than a newbie without crypto knowledge. Therefore I am confident that you will succeed here.

I'm here to network.
Yea, I wasn't actually here to network but when I arrived, but now it seems I have built some network here. The forum has many things to offer.

I see some beautiful profiles with lots of merits and I'm interested in being like that someday. How can that be achieved? Is it like a gift or something.. pls help 😎
Some profiles are quite beautiful if you think merits is the beauty of a profile. Some merits are gifted (air dropped), some are earned. But I am afraid that your interest is in merits. It doesn't always end well for people so interested in merits in first coming.
251  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New here on: March 16, 2024, 11:25:55 AM
Hi everyone.
This is my first post, i have heard a lot about this forum and how resourceful it is, so I have joined and I hope that I can learn a lot of things from here.

Regards
SK
The ability to learn depends so much on the mindset of the learner. If the learner is not committed to learning, even in the abundance of learning materials, the learner will struggle to learn. It is nice that are willing to learn and you are already aware that the forum is resourceful, just be yourself and enjoy the forum.

Secondly, you have to read the links provided you above, including the rules and regulations guiding the community. You can only last long here to learn the desired knowledge of bitcoin if you operate within the ambient of the forum rules and regulations. Do no plan to cheat the system and do not plagerise, also do not lie, the forum and the forum members frown at people with the above behaviours and they simply do not enjoy the forum.
252  Economy / Economics / Re: I went London i have questions now the wealthy life there on: March 15, 2024, 09:03:51 PM
My question is are people actually that rich or they just to like to show off ?
One day I was driving in the largest city in my country,  I passed the streets and malls. I was driving my lil nephew around the cities, he needed some Chokocho ice cream and I bought for him with an amount that is equivalent to 60 cents and we continue the journey until we met a certain residential area in an estate. My nephew needed such ice cream again and it was tagged as amount equivalent to $4 and people were happily buying.  But I refused to buy, instead I drove back to the former store where I bought for 60 cents.  That was the day I knew the difference in environment.
Op, you simply visited a very wealthy place where people's problems are no longer food, shelter and clothing.
253  Economy / Economics / Re: Hardship as a global problem on: March 15, 2024, 08:47:47 PM
Currently in the world today.hardship is every where, it is not just a country problem but a universal phenomenon that is occurring rapidly. It is clearly seen that people are literally not able to eat even a square meal for a day. Especially those in under developed countries.hardship which is now a global spread has taken its roots in the world today. We now seat and face our day to day survival with no hope of what would happen next. Sincerely I think this great problem can be resolved if nations could come together and create a universal solution to it
The hardship is not global,  maybe we can say that what is global is inflation.  Some countries are doing absolutely well and her Citizens are doing great. Some other countries are still toiling the tunnel and there's no clear notification when the light will appear at the end of the tunnel.  The leaders of Some countries are just the greatest problem the countries have. Especially African leaders,  the embezzle the national treasury and export most of them to the Western countries where there colleagues accept them.

Calling for global Brotherhood is not easy to attain. The world is in continuous war, the several calls for peace have not yielded any result, so uniting to fight hunger might not be feasible because hunger is not the problem of most countries rather advancement of technology and Arsenal.
254  Economy / Economics / Re: Food security might not be a priority for younger generations. (2) on: March 15, 2024, 08:34:18 PM
*Reposting this topic from my post in other forum.

There is a huge possibility of younger or new generations adopting cryptocurrency investments compared to them getting interests on farming and food related sectors. What do you think? Does it have a good or bad effects on our economy?
For a layman, not necessarily an uncivilised man but an average man, it is easier to learn how to farm than how to earn from cryptocurrency or bitcoin. What I mean in essence is that farming is easier than cryptocurrency trading, investments or mining.  There are also people who do not like risky business.  If they are not sure that $100 will give them $150 the next month, they will not risk it. Apart from cryptocurrency, there are other ways people earn.

Talking about Agriculture, we all know that it is not as primitive as it used to be those days. Many things have actually changed.  Mechanisation and Robotics has made it possible that group of 10 men can produce food 10,000 people will consume.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you use Bitcoin and access Bitcointalk freely without using a VPN? on: March 12, 2024, 05:53:16 PM
I'm in US. No restrictions, land of the free:)

China might be the only country with restrictions so far, Russia might join you soon so you don't feel alone
The reason why I love US. No matter what happens, Liberty remains the national ideology of US. They will threaten you with many things but that freedom of choice and engagement is what cannot be denied you.
In my country, there's no such restrictions and that is why the adoption of crypto in my country is massive. If the government finally introduces it, the citizens will surely find ways to overcome the barrier. The force is enormous and very obvious that it cannot be overcome by the government.

Apart from China, other countries I remember and remember restrictions or deprivation of certain rights are;
Russia,
Kim's Korea.
256  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A mistake you would surely regret on: March 12, 2024, 05:11:50 PM
The cryptocurrency industry is seasonal and there are many things that accompanies each season. For instance during the bear market season, it is FUD that characterizes the season which makes is very difficult for people to invest in a particular project when the price is very low. But didn't the bull season another attribute of the market that comes to play is FOMO. At this time people will jump into new and old projects that are already climbing to the green side of the market and before they could join the market could refers back to the red lane, you will see many complaints. It is not uncommon that many projects enter the market during the bull run. This is the fake and scam projects blossom. They actually cannot stand the taste of the bear market.
257  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Affiliate marketing in crypto on: March 12, 2024, 04:50:39 PM
Sometime I wonder how promising is affiliate marketing? many influencers always include this as one of many ways to earn money via online. But I don't believe someone can make money from it except popular influencers.

IMO when it comes to affiliate marketing or a job that needs connection, you're better to grow your personal branding first instead of looking at the product.

You could start a blog and make sure you can bring something new on there, if you already have a good traffic, you can rent your space.
There is actually huge money in affiliate marketing. That is the way that marketing is tilting towards nowadays. However, it is not everyone that is successful in affiliate marketing. Someone who is not passionate about talking to people to use a particular product might not be successful in affiliate marketing. Also someone who does not have an online presence or a good traffic would not also be able to make good money from affiliate marketing. You should only be looking for project starts offer affiliate marketing if you have all a text to earn from it. Almost all crypto exchange or brokers offer affiliate marketing.
258  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 0xbc1.io - Innovative crypto exchange service on: March 12, 2024, 03:29:23 PM
Hello forum members!
We appreciate your interest in our exchange service. We are currently actively working on improving and finalizing our website. We hope to fully launch the online exchange service in the near future.
Keep an eye on our updates and we will try to provide you with clearer and more detailed information soon.
Thank you for your understanding and active participation in the development of our service!

If this is a pre announcement then post it in your thread based on the configuration of your thread you're site is already live when it's really not yet working.
Get a copper account the copper account will take out all the limitation of your newbie account like posting images, if you have a the budget get a thread designer there are people who can make your announcement stand out.
Your platform is an exchange if you are serious on your presence you should launch a marketing campaign here, there are a lot of marketing experts here.
I actually do not like it when projects are incomplete in preparation but hasty to announce. If I were to announce a project and having known how here works, I'll definitely have to remain calm until everything is matured before I'll go live.
I like the domain name and if they be serious with the project they can penetrate the industry as fast as possible.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is $PENG The Coolest New Memecoin on Solana? on: March 12, 2024, 03:14:11 PM
Seems you are holding enough of it for talking about them most times influencers or investors always put efforts on the coin they invested heavily to give a hype about them so that it would attracts more investors to the project to enable them have more investors. The more they invested the more the coin keeps appreciating. Well I have never read about this coin but I know any coin within the bull run always seems to be pretty much good because of influence of bull market, therefore while investing into this project or in any altcoin you should only invest the amount you can afford to lose.
That's right.
Meme coins are just dependent on hype and nothing more. So, the project owners invest more in promotion and hyping to get people into the project. I am just surprised why these new meme coins are mostly from the Solana network. The likes of PEPE and Bonk are inclusive. Any special reasons for that?
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selling NFTs...Where to start? on: March 12, 2024, 02:58:46 PM
For blockchain to use polygon is more preferable then for the marketplace have you check out Opensea.io or Playdapp.
Although I can't guarantee you of any trust since I have never used them before, I just made a quick search that is the first marketplace that was displayed for me, so maybe let those that are into NFT's sales confirm how trusted and reliable is that website before you trading over there for security purposes.
Hey mate!
You are promoting Bestchange and I believe you received Bestchange NFT. How have you done yours, have you sold it and which market. What's the value of the NFT now and will it worth more in the future? Maybe if you answer my questions correctly, Op can learn from it.

Here is the link to sell your bestchange NFTs  it was listed there some months ago but there was no liquidity even till now, so I wasn't able to sell mine till date. I am just holding maybe whenever bestchange decides to add liquidity then we can sell over there, but still you can follow up the update on Bestchange ann thread.
Nice. I have clicked and it is still in the opensea, having value of 0ETH and 43 magic. I am pleased to view the NFT again. Although I don't intend to sell it, I just want to hold it for future purposes. Best_Change has been a nice company and the future holds big for it. I will follow up the discussion on Bestchange thread and see what others are saying about it.
