241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should your wife or husband know your seed phrase? on: December 23, 2022, 05:11:51 PM
Keeping your finances private is a big part of staying happy and off shit birds radar.
Yes, but how would you feel if you were a woman and knew that you'd married with someone who doesn't want you to know his belongings? Keeping your finances private over your partner means you're going to lie quite frequently when you'll have to spend some bitcoin.

Well it's pre martial assets. It's my money and would never comingle my assets unless she had a equal assets to mingle. Even in a prenup she will want to access them or convince that you need to buy "US" something.

We don't live in a world of unconditional love and trust anymore, it's gone. Love is one thing marriage is a business agreement that has heavily biased penalties.

Would you invest in something that has 50% failure rate that consumes over 50% of your assets? Nobody would but we let all the pheromones and the lust for utopia blind us. It only happens to the other guy. Foolish.

Conversely if I was married and we acquired things together that's what it is. I would give her 50% of the bitcoin to her own wallet. I'm keeping my seed phrase between God and I.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should your wife or husband know your seed phrase? on: December 23, 2022, 04:42:11 PM
Thank you all for your engagements, I have read so many interesting opinions on this topic, and two things come to mind. First, I will not be happy knowing that my hubby is hiding something from me. Secondly for those who are saying that they will not share their seed phrase because of the possibility of issues in the marriage that will lead to divorce. I do not think that is a good excuse because people open new wallets everyday with ease, if you have any reason not to trust your wife, you can open up another wallet quickly and simply send all your crypto to another wallet she does not have access to. That solves it.

Well, it's the man is often that last one to know of a divorce, with almost 100% certainly clean him out first. Happens all the time.
243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should your wife or husband know your seed phrase? on: December 23, 2022, 03:43:22 PM
To many variables for a blanket answer.

I am American and have been married twice. A majority of women are self entitled, greedy and act as a dependent not a partner (not all, but allot).

Me and my buddies have been taken advantage of and screwed over by the ones who "loved" us. The law is heavily bent towards the woman and they know this. I have a pile of friends married 15 or 20 years find out kids aren't theres, wife is cheating blah blah blah. It's almost always the guy that get's screwed.

The problem with having money is that you become a target to EVERYONE. After a substantial inheritance it became my girlfriend of many years full time job to try and gain access to it. One example of many, she unknowingly to me took out a title loan against a paid of 2 year old car to buy her daughter a car. When they wanted to repo it it suddenly became my fault that it did.

Keeping your finances private is a big part of staying happy and off shit birds radar.

I would all for a mechanism that in the event of my death my bitcoin could be distributed. Some kind of time capsule that automatically distributes. Ideas?
244  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do people cheat in relationships?? on: December 11, 2022, 03:58:44 PM
The problem with this thread is that the question itself is preloaded with language that is judgemental. Hard to have open debate in that context.

Well then what would you call it?
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Create wealth first before the use of bitcoin on: December 08, 2022, 02:09:03 PM
Many don't have access to a banking system or it's cost prohibitive to do so or don't meet the criteria.

Bitcoin can provide that service very cheaply. Additionally able to receive monies from relatives abroad.

The minimum entry point is a smart phone.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Destroy Crap Altcoins? on: December 07, 2022, 03:56:01 PM
They will destroy themselves. When I rank the industry by market cap it blows my mind to see how many shit coins have a few billion.

Welp, they way I see it it will come to light that all but a few are junk (token pet rocks) and the money will need to go somewhere, hopefully into bitcoin.

I honestly can't fathom in this market (scared money) that anything shitcoin will go "to the moon" or remotely even close. I think that people haven't gotten the memo yet.

248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Hit $23,000 in Q1 2023? on: December 06, 2022, 02:57:45 AM
I highly doubt it.. Allot more bad news coming down the pipe and some bubbles bursting.

Sideways at best and that is a good thing
249  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mark Mobius Prediction Bitcoin could hit $10k at 2023 on: December 03, 2022, 03:42:29 PM
Well some pretty big names make predictions... None have been right in my eyes.

If I thought he was right I would sell and buy back in, screw this hodl crap. I'd prolly sell half and watch. That's a big difference in the end game over just hodl.

Or a good opportunity to blend down.

I want it to crash more and flush out the leverages.
250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fidelity opens bitcoin trading on: December 01, 2022, 02:09:23 PM
Well it's not an exchange, it's a trading platform.

So I'm not really worried about "not your keys" or  Failure of Fidelity.

Hopefully and it's a way to get maybe a 5 or 10 percent exposure in my 401k if not then the IRA.

Trading, get it on the pinwheel and rebalance.

251  Economy / Speculation / Re: December Has always Proved to Be a Good Month For Cryptocurrency industry on: December 01, 2022, 01:52:50 PM
Looking here in my Farmers almanac  is says to plant my bitcoin in the spring.

The world is a much different place than December 2020 and 2021.

Only a lunatic would base his or hers bitcoin investments on a lunar calander.

252  Other / Off-topic / Re: JPMorgan expects that Bitcoin will fall to $13,000 in value on: December 01, 2022, 12:47:02 AM
I think it's done pretty well during the FTX failure. Blockfi is has failed and it's ho hum no biggie. I think there is some more bad news to play out like  if Coinbase has issues. House of cards.
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The risks of self-custody outweigh the risk of exchanges on: November 17, 2022, 04:56:17 PM
"5 dollar wrench attack"

A pillar point to self custody is "don't talk about fight club". I'm not talking about anything illegal, just people can't take what they don't even know is there. Don't tell anyone, ever. If people know then leave some on the one you want them find / know about (decoy).

I used to have money, everybody well always trying to gain access to it, giant target..
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: *El Salvador To Start Purchasing Bitcoin Everyday* on: November 17, 2022, 04:29:23 PM
Blending his average down while pledging confidence in bitcoin. Smart.

They haven't lost a dime because they didn't sell.

255  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Cloud mining for bitcoin on: November 17, 2022, 02:52:26 PM
If it was profitable we would all be doing it already. Even if there was a good company the profit is so razor thin right now it wouldn't be profitable for either party.

You could buy some asic's an have them hosted. But I would tend to think that simply buying bitcoin and holding it would be more profitable and maintain liquidity. ROI would be a long time as well.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto on the way to destruction? on: November 16, 2022, 03:46:41 PM
I think it's weathering the storm pretty well. There is some more bad news to come and that presents more buying opportunities.

Additionally if "we" keep our own coins there is less money on exchanges for "them" to do bad things with. This could possibly add some stability to the market.

I had front row seats in the Silicon Valley during the dot com boom and bust. This feels EXACTLY the same. I don't feel bad about taking profits. I chuckle to myself all in hodlers, you can loose almost all of it. Have an investment plan not emotions.
257  Economy / Economics / Re: Has the popularity of bitcoins reduced interest of people in stocks? on: November 14, 2022, 04:43:11 PM
Some. It's part of an overall package. Some are "all in" on bitcoin and that seems scary. O'Leary calls it the 12th sector, I think that fits.
258  Economy / Speculation / Re: I hope this Bitcoin dip won't be deeper? on: November 10, 2022, 04:11:41 PM
Bitcoin should only be piece of your financial plan, if you are not diversified in sectors other than crypto your a fool for punishment. Gold, silver, TIPS, cash or stocks whatever suit your fancy. You will go mental following one thing only.
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: I hope this Bitcoin dip won't be deeper? on: November 10, 2022, 02:13:34 PM
Everyone is baller on the way up, the easiest thing to do..

Mindset is wrong, it's a great time to buy (DCA) into the game. Already in it? Good blend down your cost. The fear that you already missed out is an emotional attachment to trading that needs to be broken.

Is their more bad news to come? Yup. Can it go lower? Probably can.

On the way up don't be afraid to take some profit and set it aside. This buy once and hold forever stuff is cool, then just buy it and look at it one time a year instead of driving yourself mad.

260  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin really crashing on: November 09, 2022, 05:15:48 PM
I use the the news and previous performance to invest. Peoples predictions and candle charts don't mean anything to me. I laugh to myself when hopesters want a bull run off no data but they just "know".

I've said on here many times before we have allot of bad news to come including an exchange failure and more stock market carnage. Well we had the exchange failure.

We are going to loose some more ground for awhile and some leverages to pan out.

Good, failure is a win for those with money on the sidelines.

DCA is your friend
