I really am truly sorry for that. I believed my bosses, of course I'm going to try to support something I believed in. I really don't know what to say for that crap. Just know that if I knew something like this was the case I would have been gone a long time ago. Im too young and early into my career to want to be affected by shit like this, I would have been gone in a second had I known.

As far as it matters, just know this... If you didnt know before douchehammer vern broke the news, im sorry this must come as a huge shock to you.
The feds ARE going to go over every single thing with a fine tooth comb. Anyone who knew about the hack and
supported the company will be going to prison... There is no way around that. If there was an email ever sent telling the staff there was a hack, anyone who
stayed on was supporting the scam after the fact.

How much did you guys lose? Anyone care to share?

I lost 17 sprouts and I'm very angry about it.

about .3 BTC and .7 LTC. A small number I know but still annoying when you consider that the admins were claiming that everything was safe and cryptsy didnt loose any ones coins.
Now we wait to see if the admins knew and how long they get in jail for helping run a ponzi scam
243  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: January 15, 2016, 04:59:51 AM
I have another question... the phishing email that came out was being talked about yesterday here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1325850.new#new

In it you see this:

Hi, Cryptsy ceases its activities in the wake of the theft of most of Bitcoins from the COLD storage.

You can start a refund procedure at the link:
http://removed-website.xxx/

Please accept our apologies.

Funny enough that whoever sent the e-mail might have had some idea of what was happening...
244  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cryptsy is closed - Email on: January 15, 2016, 04:57:13 AM
Funny that email came out before they made the actual announcement that cryptsy lost all your money to a hacker...
245  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: January 15, 2016, 04:51:16 AM
Here were the options given:

Here are our options:
1.   We shut down the website and file bankruptcy, letting users file claims via the bankruptcy process and letting the court make the disbursements.
-   or –
2.   Somebody else comes in to purchase and run Cryptsy while also making good on requested withdrawals.
-   or –
3.   If somehow we are able to re-aquire the stolen funds, then we allow all withdrawal requests to process.
I’m obviously open to any other ideas people may have on this.

I will take option 2. I will buy cryptsy as is just the way it sits for the btc in my account. I will sort out the rest later.

Vern, please confirm via email...

Awww nevermind, I still have teh .3 in my account and thats way too much
246  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: January 15, 2016, 04:37:28 AM
so let me see if I get it...

They got hacked over a year ago and didn't bother to report it? The theft of customers money and they said nothing???

they continued to take in new money and let little bits trickle out... I assume that Vern got paid...

How is this not a ponzi scam?

The feds will be all over this in a matter of days, and will tear the place apart to look for evidence if there is any left to find.
Do you think the admins knew what was happening? If there is any email evidence anywhere that they knew, are they going to jail with Vern?

247  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC Jam borrow and run on: January 14, 2016, 11:28:06 PM
Hi, there is already a thread here for these scumbag losers:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=605994.0

I think the fact that its more than just an unpaid loan is why I made my own thread. This person took out the loan to do something
and failed to even make an attempt... making it more of a scam than a failed loan. Unless he wants to add anything else to this thread
248  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: January 14, 2016, 09:06:23 PM
so the user claiming to be paul isn't. Its funny how the mods can be there to ban anyone who has the nerve to ask when they will get their BTC back but when someone shows up and pulls something like that no ban for that user...

Nevermind they finally decided to end it and ban him for a year.

ok so here is what was just posted in chat in case you missed it:

PaulVernon
Withdrawals will be brought live in two hours.  We're still on it working out the possible hack scenario and finalizing up database audit.
We expect to process all the withdrawals within the next 24-48 hrs, more details on our focus on the future of Cryptsy comes out as soon as they get available.
BigVern

The children in chat then instantly pay banned him, so no questions could be asked beyond that... not that he was going to answer them anyway im sure

Take that for whatever you want but there it is

I have no idea if it was actually him at this point...
251  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: January 14, 2016, 04:54:27 PM
I see people in chat over there talking about the MN contracts.
I dont know what is happening with them, but if it helps ill share my experience with that...

A while back, before they merged the two mining contracts, I saw they were paying out very sporadically. I asked about it and was told it was a glitch
and that the payments would be made once the glitch was solved. After some time and asking about it... (dont remember how long but it was at least a week) I was
told that in fact there was no payout, and that they were merging the mining pools to make up for the rise in difficulty. I complained that they should not have lied to me about the payouts for the last amount of time, and was ignored completely.

So if you have the MN contract and they stopped paying out... history has told us they will not be giving you payouts or telling you whats going on till they damn well feel like it.

Just like everything else.

This, can't see how this isn't DOA(not doi lol). Except fraud stuff, fraud&lies changes things...

I think that just means you can file criminal complaints... arbitration is normally on the side of the company that requires them
253  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: January 14, 2016, 02:45:52 PM

It will be interesting to see how they get beyond the arbitration clause in the TOS.
254  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: January 13, 2016, 02:40:46 PM
Previously I commented on bitebi9.com sending confirmation e-mails from the same mail service as cryptsy for log ins and so forth.

Anyone think there is a connection to that and whats happening now?

To think I would not have been involved if craptsy had let me take my funds A MONTH AGO...

255  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: January 13, 2016, 02:19:27 AM
Im now coming up on 30 days trying to withdraw .3 BTC.

This is just stupid...

Quit FUD'ing with your comments and you wouldn't have any problems.
AKA: The JShock retort.

You are right,... my bad. I should have been willing to wait years in the corner while they sort out issues that have nothing to do with me...

:-D

Cryptsy CUSTOMER DEPOSITS are not Vern's marital assets in any conceivable scenario. Cryptsy SHARES - maybe. Apples and coconuts.

What about coins earned by staking with customer deposits?

How many Paycoins were commingled in BigFraud's Prime Controller?

Cryptsy was for many months the main DASH exchange; that's why many brainwashed DASH cultists foolishly defended Cryptsy from scam accusations until Otoh got burned.   Undecided

Many Masternodes worth of DASH were available for staking, while DASH withdrawals occasionally suffered mysterious delays.

This divorce looks like an attempt to make recovery more difficult for burned depositors.  The timing is suspicious(tm).

Let's hope the divorce is genuine, extremely messy, and results in extensive discovery into Cryptsy's (and Otoh's) murky business operations.

Just when we think Bitcoin can't possibly raise the drama level yet again, here comes a combined divorce+bankruptcy+fraud legal SNAFU.

Gentlemen, start your air-poppers!   Cheesy

I never did any staking coins. I remember reading that you would not be paid for staking anything held at cryptsy... let me look here...

Yup item 28:

28. Staking Interest

Some Cryptsy wallets may provide staking interest rewards. Any staking rewards, conversions, snapshots, or likewise will become the property of Cryptsy.

So they would be keeping that anyway.
259  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: January 11, 2016, 12:33:06 AM
Terrik .. your welcome  Cool
THANK YOU FOR YOUR -VALUABLE- CONTRIBUTION.

anyway..

Guys one thing the 6 million was siphoned off long ago.

2nd, what about Cryptsy's TOS saying you can't sue ?
Can their TOS over-ride US Federal law ?

Yup,
Binding arbitration is what we all agreed to when we signed up. You have to pay for it up front, and the looser pays after that. Since there has been no theft, you will loose in arbitration. In theory I assume the money is still there and they will claim technical difficulties. If the money becomes no longer there, they will claim bankruptcy and you will have to stand in a long line of creditors and will most likely not get your coins.

The only way you will see anything done is if you file a complaint with the CFTC. The FL AG would be a good route too, but I expect that the fact the company is gone from its headquarters (allegedly) They would be unable to assist in any way.

is anyone getting any verifiable amount off of this exchange at this point...
