241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is IEO Profitable than ICO's? on: May 01, 2019, 08:00:13 AM
IEO is literally an ICO vetted by the exchange owners. Maybe it was/is profitable because scams are notoriously plentiful with independent ICOs. But this bear market is not helping at all. If this was a bull market, I thik IEO have a clear advantage.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stupid Bitcoin Traders on: April 29, 2019, 04:40:17 PM

No Dumb-Ass... You didn't learn shit!

Why is it - that people are so ready to buy AFTER it pumps 50X - And then cry or call BTC a scam after they lost their ass?
But won't touch BTC once it stabilizes after a collapse?

Please Share you Stupid Bitcoin Trader Stories if you have em

IT IS HUMAN NATURE TO BE A SHEEP AND FOLLOW THE HERD.

Have you ever wonder why ponzi schemes are 85% profitable (for the founders anyway). It is because increasing value regardless of how it does always attract the greed of many people. We naturally just want to join in the crazy profits.

So what happens next when almost everybody already bought in? The damm thing collapses! It's because you have no one else to sell to. The panic selling ensues afterwards.
243  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MSRise - Fake CEO/team members on: April 28, 2019, 10:00:18 PM
Imagine these people planning to scam millions of dollars online. I bet they planned their scam for weeks, carefully setting up all the fake office, the actors, etc. They must think law enforcement is lax with crypto ICOs hence the boldness.
244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 28, 2019, 09:23:44 AM
Well, I already did cash out some of my long term holdings since 2014. Something like 10x from starting capital. So in effect, all the crypto holdings I have now is just pure profit, win or lose on trades.

For first time investors, this bear market is probably  the best time to accumulate. And you should set buying triggers on known support levels if the price goes down further. Apply DCA on that.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which is your favorite cryptocurrency related website besides BitcoinTalk? on: April 27, 2019, 05:24:51 PM
Everyone agrees that Bitcoinwisdom is the most visited crypto related website aside from coinmarketcap. It is the first site you open as you launch your browser. Checking the Bitcoin price for today is the first thing many do in the morning.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] UNIVERSA | Blockchain Protocol for Business on: April 26, 2019, 09:02:57 PM
This recent conversation is just another recurring theme in almost every altcoin thread here in Bitcointalk. And it usually happens during the tail end of every bear market Bitcoin and crypto has endured so far.
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A team of Indians created Bitcoin on: April 25, 2019, 04:46:52 PM
I think it's far-fetched that an Indian team created Bitcoin. First, Indian IT are more focus on what generates more revenue or income. You would see talented Indian developers working on various IT projects that uses popular programming and no experimental ones.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Crypto now? on: April 25, 2019, 11:21:41 AM
Crypto or blockchain technology is here to stay. So far we haven't seen any concrete examples of a blockchain network that is utilized by the masses. But that doesn't mean it's worthless tech. It just needs time and people to think of uses.

Back then, lasers were thought to be useless and only for lightshows. 80s people wouldn't believe how many uses does laser technology have now.
249  Economy / Speculation / Re: When you win does someone else have to lose. on: April 24, 2019, 01:40:42 PM
Trading is a zero sum game. Of course, someone always loses. In fact, 90% of traders lose. To avoid zero sum, you have to invest in assets that pays dividends. But this is crypto, no security tokens yet available.
250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: NEW Copy service for Bitmex (Group Terminal) on: April 23, 2019, 09:00:22 PM
And so... no one has yet replicated 1Broker's success in providing a system to copy the trading positions of successful crypto traders. Anyway, I'm sure time will come for a new 1Broker. New exchanges are still into that "Transaction Mining" stuff. It will not last, there's no usecase for exchange tokens.
251  Other / Meta / Re: Yobit spam on the forum on: April 22, 2019, 07:26:35 PM
Some readers caught a Yobit spammer plagiarising one-liners  in the same thread - so much laziness, I guess they need to fill the 20 post quota. So, I reported the post to the moderator. That was three hours ago and still  0% accuracy.  Huh

Anyway, I archived the posts just in case I have to elevate the offense.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Obyte: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: April 22, 2019, 04:29:13 PM
Bitcoin SV has ended as a fraud. Binance, delisted Bitcoin SV, and other exchanges will do it in coming hours, days, or weeks.
https://www.coindesk.com/binance-delists-bitcoin-sv-ceo-calls-craig-wright-a-fraud
Recently, we saw the Obyte Cash, a forked from Obyte, so my question for myself and for you is:
Which ending has waited for Obyte Cash? Personally, I don't see reason to succeed for Obyte Cash.
what relation has Bitcoin SV to Obyte Cash? There are examples of successful and unsuccessful forks on the market. There are examples of successful forks and dead originals. If not to assume that almost all coins to some extent fork of Bitcoin.

It's all about tribalism. OGs are resentful to those that forked away. So basically everyone assumes that the larger tribe wins. In the case of Ethereum and Classic, the community of Ethereum is bigger. With Bitcoin, the bigger one is with the segwit update. It's a popularity contest, if you will.
smells like evolution to me. survival of the fittest and most popular. if in doubt go alpha. i think for any cryptocurrency to gain some traction it needs followers, users, devs, usecases etc. to make sense in the cryptoworld.
forks and knives can't be avoided. but st. toshi had this in mind when releasing the code "open source".
the only true coin is bitcoin Cheesy

True. But to the misguided fanboys of Obyte, Obyte Cash is not a threat. The best DAG devs are here. Other devs are working on applying second layer services on top of the Obyte network. "Imitation is the greatest form of flattery."

I don't know why the supply is kept increasing whether TEAM members are selling their tokens in the market, can we able to see the balance of the team is holding? If the team is selling the coin then definitely community will consider the project as negative.
More 4 billion being dumped today Grin

it looks terrible, today Dent is down 3%, maybe it's a good time to buy some Dent tokens

It is not a good time to buy some Dent tokens. Wait until this thread is filled with shilling posts and the price has gone parabolic, maybe near the all-time high price. Always go with the herd. They are always right.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SONM • Decentralized Fog Computing on: April 19, 2019, 09:26:58 AM
Hold on to your horses. SONM price about to do a golden cross (50 day above the 200 day moving average). This is a strong indicator that SONM price has bottomed out. Don't wait for it to go above the 200 day MA.

256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] (QTUM) - A Scalable Smart Contract Platform w/ Proof of Stake on: April 18, 2019, 07:09:36 PM

According to Bitcoin prediction credited to Tim Draper a couple of months ago, he prophesied $250k Bitcoin price surge in the next four years and he solidly stands by the prediction.

I never get tired of reading this prediction over and over. Take note, he was right when Bitcoin reached $10,000 from $185 within three year he said. So, all you have to do is buy and hold four Bitcoins.

We are happy to present to you our new company website! Under the new name - http://edgelessgroup.io
From now on we have a few new links, as per the below:
Staking - https://staking.edgelessgroup.io/
Blog - https://blog.edgelessgroup.io/
Token information - https://www.edgelessgroup.io/token

Frankly, the main website shouldn't look like a millennial IT startup page. The first impression I get it's offering some Twitter, cloud integration or some other web service.

It should look like a casino on first load with lots of colorful gambling themes and games upfront. All the other information should just be in the background. Please, this is simple. A lot of online gamblers are consistently looking for new games to play, they would leave right away upon seeing the site design.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in ICO or buy BTC? on: April 16, 2019, 09:42:49 AM
Actually when you are investing in ICOs, you are adding risk to your crypto investment. You are in effect also invested in BTC but with a multiplier, meaning  when BTC goes up, your ICO investment might go up 2 - 4x more.

However, if the ICO fails, it would seem that leaving it on BTC was a better strategy.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: future of NEO on: April 16, 2019, 06:59:41 AM
Neo was very promising at the begining but after that, it lost its hype.

Mostly China problem with cryptocurrency become effective but right now, i would focus on other blockchains.
now the NEO isn't too prominent but I'm sure if the NEO's future will be good enough because the NEO is a coin with a strong and big community and even though China sometimes blocks the development of the NEO but I think it's just a trick.
China again taking its position against mining business, though NEO is a staking coin and will not be affected of that, the only issue will be the investors coming from the Chinese community,  this news can be conceptualized and interpret as a bad implications, NEO needs to show good development trying
much harder to compete with more new coins being introduce around the market.

The key is survival. Neo must survive the bear market, it needs to retain the interests of its existing developer pool. Though much better if more developers coming to NEO to build their platforms.
260  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Drops Back to $5K Price Support After Failed Breakout on: April 15, 2019, 10:41:08 PM
Just notice that the Bitcoin price keeps on re-testing the upper boundary or the resistance levels around $5100 to $5300. As along as retesting the levels keeps on, it will break. Just like when $6,000 support was retested many times and broke down to $3000.
