241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 27, 2024, 08:24:53 PM
Chelsea losing 2 nil down to Aston Villa in the first 45 minutes of play, both goals were all conceded out of poor defensive attitude and lack of communication flow. From what I think, Aston villa will be coming in comfortable in the second half to score more goals similar to what arsenal did against Chelsea due to their terrible defense, lack of organization both in the midfield and defense.

Villa players has a perfect view of what they are fighting for right now which is staying among the top 4 on the table to keep them qualified for the champions league next season and that can be seen in their coordination in this game as they make use of their chances in every occasion at Chelsea 18 yard box.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you consider yourself, the family and gambling? on: April 27, 2024, 01:18:17 PM
Lets take a look at the family aspect of everyone gambling and try to give our individual opinions concerning these questions i will like us to discuss from regarding how we are gambling and how that can affect the family for the benefits of those already having one and those that will soon be in the league of a family man, lets make it as simple as possible in giving our earnest contributions on our take from this following questions i have for us.

1. At what age will you allow your child to start gambling? that is if you will even allow for that at all?
I will not pray to my ancestors that any of my child don't get an eye for gambling, I don't know the reality of this happenings seeing that am a gambler but a responsible one for that matter. My wish for any of my child not to gamble at all is not because I view gamble to be of a bad or evil phenomenal but that I fear if such a child could have the discipline to gamble responsibly all the way in  all situations that result.

Quote
2. At what age do you see yourself quit gambling? that is also if some of us are going to ever do so?
I before now have had the thought of retiring from gamble in the future but if am to be sincerely I just don't know at what age only that I know I will quit.

Quote
3. Ever since you have started gambling, have you ever achieve a satisfying level that makes you think it has good impact on you?

Satisfying level? According to Maslow in his theory of needs he postulated that the satisfaction of one need leads to the pursuit of higher need. And this is just similar with all gamblers, there's no satisfying level and this also apply to responsible gamblers, we all want to experience a much better satisfaction than the previous we have had, and this in extension also has to do with how much profit we are making too.

Quote
4. Would you have missed out on anything if you were not a gambler?
I don't know!
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: April 27, 2024, 12:51:38 PM

what do you think about the predictions for today's match? Will you bet on 1x2 or bet on the line?
let's predict together here.

West Ham is sometimes quite good when playing at home, Liverpool must consider that to create a good attacking strategy.
but with poor results in the last 2 matches, West Ham had to accept defeat against Crystal Palace and Full Ham. Maybe Liverpool can extend West Ham's lucky defeat in the next match.
Statistically Liverpool is more favored. Liverpool should be able to get 3 points in the next match. I would bet on Liverpool winning.
Turns out Liverpool are the ones that are out of luck today again, having lost 2:0 to Everton midweek they are having a repeat of that unlucky streak with West Ham by a 1 nil despite been the good side in the game in the first half with all the ball possessions and shots attempt.

Such poor performance in their last two previous games, this inconsistency is rather limiting their chances in the PL title race as they keep losing points and it's important they avoid it by bringing in an effective response that can reverse the result to their favour as they get underway to second half of the game.  In the event that the Hammers win this match they will be with 48points on the table just 2points closer to Newcastle united as at now.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the least risky gambling game at online casinos? on: April 27, 2024, 10:09:30 AM
Please recommend non-slot casino games that are fun and have interesting odds.

I think you should relax and try all the games that seem interesting to you. First of all, decide how much money you plan to spend on gambling, once you make a deposit everything else is up to you, you can try any game in the casino that attracts your attention.

All games can be played with "interesting odds", if we talk about in-house games it's up to you to decide the odds you wish to chase. When it comes to other games, each game has some "interesting odds", higher odds are more risky ones, but if you like it you can play them. It's always up to us to choose the game and odds, so take that advantage and find the game and odds that suit you. Good luck.
No that's a bad idea. If the reason for gambling is to make money online then trying all the game would make the gambler lose all his money in the process of trying the games. We all know so many gambling games are in Casinos, at least there are more than 22 casinos games. I dont think any gambling would choose to gamble on all of these game before choosing his preferred one.

In my opinion i think he should go with the game he is familiar with. Like the one he has more clue about. For me i know a lot about sports so when i started gambling i tried sports gambling before moving into racing.
@dailyscript it seems @iv4n exaggerated it by asking that all the games should be tried on before the op could now out of them all pick the very one(s) he finds interesting and easily profiting too. Not mind if op pocket is deep enough to go all round.

That's by the way, but as op has clearly said f you had read well, that he has never made bet on any online games except for fortune tiger therefore not similar with any other online games. So what I'll suggest is that he should try at most just 5 different games instead of going through all of casino games, for without difficulty and waste of money he will definitely find one or two preferable to him. For a better experience there are interesting games he could make use of visiting  Freebitco.in
245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Impact of Crypto Betting on Traditional Sports Betting on: April 27, 2024, 08:52:32 AM
It is with no argument that online crypto betting has made the traditional betting platforms to improve and make some developmental changes. When there is a competitive market it is mostly to the benefits of the consumers of that market products or services. So its beautiful to see that the cryptocurrency online gambling platforms coming into the gamble industry which in their own initiative in trying to give the best offers to their customers are invariably putting the traditional sportsbooks on their toe to also innovate to render much quality services to it's own customers in order to retain them still.

Unfortunately, no matter how advance and seamless to use the online crypto betting platforms tend to get there will still be that group of individuals who won't change their choice from the traditional to the crypto. However, it also has a lot to do with people's knowledge about crypto for them to have use for crypto betting platforms. Which is to say, granted that there are a multitude still not using or having no knowledge of  cryptocurrency there's still going to be a good number of traditional sportsbook gamblers in the foreseeable future.
246  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy BTC sold for 16 BTC-1 mil USD on: April 26, 2024, 09:59:56 AM
Would I spend 1,000,000 on that sign no I would not.

Even If I was stupid rich (say 100,000 btc).
There are actions we just wanna carry out just to massage our ego in as much as the money is there to spend. It wouldn't necessarily seem like a waste to you by then because to you at that very moment it's like doing what many people can't even afford to do.

There are places I said to myself 10 years back I won't visit no matter the money I was going to make because at that time I previewed it to be a waste or something stupid to do with money. But guess what today! I visit a few of those places like thrice in a year now just because of the momentary feeling that comes with been there.

Money has a way of twisting our vibes, particularly too much money. Grin We just have to be patient till we have it in that bastard amount to know what we will do and what we won't do.

What are some of the hobbies that you have picked up as a result of your long term gambling but that doesn't involve gambling?
I have a few hobbies on this but I think this very one will be very interesting to share. I take it as compulsory fun habit following my friends that are fans of my rival club to go watch their club matches with them at our favourite football viewing centre, I make sure we all seat close just with the intention to laugh and make fun of their team when they're losing a game. It's a banter we all both share among ourselves. I have this particular friend who is forever ready to drive the few miles just to come pick me up from the house on evening's my club will be playing, all just to make fun of me should my club loss the match.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 25, 2024, 04:07:24 PM
PSG shouldn't be ruled out yet but rationally with past data I don't see them making the finals or raising the cup.
Just hope the final of UCL doesn't end up been another Bundesliga match  Angry
Hala Madrid.

Yeah of course. PSG can't be ruled out. Mbappe always has a potential to make a huge impact on a matchup to change the direction of it. His performance will be key against Dortmund as well in my opinion. When he doesn't have a good day Luis Enrique just hopes to see his team showing a better performance as a whole. This is really a sad factor about PSG. They aren't like Manchester City for example. They can't stand strong mostly in big games when their most important player doesn't play impressively.  Sad

I also wouldn't like to see a Dortmund - Bayern Munich finale like in the 2012/13 season. It would be really boring for the reason you said.

Yes, it's actually true that no team in this stage of the competition should be underestimated, but we need to understand that in the history of the champions league, in other to be successful in it, experience is one important component a team must have, because in a situation where the both teams became even, that's when experience start playing it's part, that's why I feels like the winner of this year champions league is in between Bayern Munich and real Madrid, because they do not just have a rich history in the competition, they also have the required experience in it to beat any other of their opponent reaching this stage, which is  PSG or Dortmund, So i will be giving this year champions league winner  to a Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid tie.
249  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Sr Memeber defaulted 35$ Loan [Heartilly] on: April 25, 2024, 08:41:10 AM
He/she literally put his/her Sr level account at risk for just $35 which insane to even think about. Most of the Sr members who are active on this forum could earn more than $35 per week from the signature campaigns. It's the stupidest thing that any member can do because $35 isn't a huge amount and risking a Sr rank account only to steal $35 is insanity.
Be it less or much than a $35 amount worth his account rank or not it doesn't in anyway justifies his action.

The attitude of anyone taking a loan and not wanting to pay back is highly condemnable. Anyone will agree that Shesan loan  has  been helpful to many in meeting their emergency needs, and the only way to encourage it's continuity is by paying back money borrowed to the last cent.

It's just quite unfortunate some person as @heartilly would decide to act unscrupulous.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you achieved anything from gambling on: April 25, 2024, 06:40:01 AM
Hello pals , this might Sound Crazy And funny But there are some meanings To It when looked At critically ,I Was having some chats with My colleaques in the Office And I told them that I am waiting for the right Time to stake my bets online and one of them opted that he hates gambling and that he has never achieved anything from the money he makes while gambling , and that he either Drinks with The money or goes to club with his girl Friend and many more unfortunate reasons .

Still on the matter another colleaque of mine backed him up saying that since he started gambling that he has never achieved anything tangible from gambling and that he feels that something mysterious is associated with the money he makes from gambling. .
There's no mystery behind gamble money and no one should be deceived that a mysterious power is behind how some gamblers lavish their gamble profit in the wrong direction. There is a thin line of difference in the way individuals do spend any money at all that was gotten without hardwork and rigorous stress process compared to that money gotten  in the opposite of the latter.

Some gamblers view money won from gamble as free money, and as such they spend it in the very notion of free. Another thing is, gamble money comes in unexpectedly so there was no prior plans towards how it was going to be utilized unlike money you had worked for and was expecting, you've a utility for it before it arrives as you're sure of it's arrival. Hence, there's nothing of a mystery but just differed individual mentality and discipline towards any form of money irrespective of the source or channel gotten from.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto's last message on: April 25, 2024, 06:24:03 AM
Satoshi's last message before his disappearance was that he has 'moved on to other things'. Now my question is this, if actually Satoshi Nakamoto saw a good vision of what Bitcoin will turn out to be in the future, why then did he decided to move on to other things instead of focusing more on the Bitcoin project to make sure that he also took part in achieving the adoption of this digital currency? So unfortunate Satoshi should have been the one to answer this question.

I've moved on to other things
Op understand something here about this statement by Satoshi Nakamoto: ''moved on to other things''. Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency and it been decentralized it will make no true sense that it stays under the watch and control of it's creator Satoshi, Satoshi understood this quite well and had to hand over bitcoin to it community (adoptors)  early enough before it widespread.

If Satoshi was to have control of bitcoin to date and not moving to other things, the core idea of bitcoin decentralization would have been in question. I do believe that this and more other things are Satoshi reason to moving to other things in life.

Liverpool are losing by a 1 goal against their rival Everton who haven't been up to their game this season. I knew this game wasn't going to be easy for Liverpool as it's almost like a derby game between two teams in same City. Everton defense has been very solid in the first as Liverpool keeps pressing My prediction in this game is a draw which definitely going to affect Liverpool's struggle for the title, a result I believe Klopp won't be happy with if they have to share points tonight or lose it all.

The English premiership is very dramatic in the ongoing games, at this point, liverpool and Manchester United are losing the their counterparts, though it is not the end of the game yet but that a very poor way to start match, though I always know that Manchester United has been very inconsistent in their matches but allowing Sheffield united to score first is not good for me, must they allow their opponents to score first, manchester united should check where is coming from and tackle it once amd for all, manchester United needs to win this game entirely, they should not take chances, the team needs to rebrand and go back to their winning ways.
Newsflash! Before the end of the first half Manchester united were able to get an equalizer through a header from Harry Maguire, a goal some will consider to be an offside but VAR allowed it and it's now Manchester united 1:1 Sheffield.

253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: April 24, 2024, 01:26:22 PM
The answer to whether gambling is a hobby or not will vary from person to person. Some people gamble to make money while others play it for fun. But self-control is a big issue here. I think it's better to take it as a hobby.
we ought to be mindful of what we undertake on to be a hobby for us, chosing gamble to be a hobby can be negatively impacting if we decides to treat it as we would treat every other hobbies like reading, listening music etc. What do I mean? You can always want to read or listen to music at any time as much as possible but you can't do this with gambling as the repercussion is that it will ruin your finances and productivity in life to other meaningful things because for you to be gambling at anytime it is signs of addiction.

As a hobby, wether we play it to make money or for fun my 5 cents here is that we shouldn't make gamble the only hobby we love to carry out daily, as a matter of fact we should make it a necessity to have more than 3 hobbies in life so if we are not engaged in hobby A today we are been engaged with a different other hobby entirely. This can be a key way to prevent addiction to a particular hobby particularly gambling which I term to be one of the worst and damaging hobby to be carried away with.

Anchoring on your selfless efforts to weed the local board off shitposts/posters previously, it is delightful to have you raise the banner on the position of a moderator to the Naija local board as the decision is one coming at an appropriate timing.

With your burning desire for quality in our local community and counting on your wealth of experience it's with no diffidence that theymos will be doing the Nigeria community a service if he could grant you that position officially as it is the local board desire judging from preceding comments.

Welcome to bitcointalk community.

I wanted to question the $1 sign up bonus how it's very poor for starters but reading down I found you have made an explanation as to why you guys have to go with that bonus amount. Which means you guys are strictly working based on your available budget, my concern is that the sign up bonus when compared to other similar sites bonus in the forum it's not enticing competitive at all.

However, I want to know if Wheel Spin Raffles have any intentions of reviewing or making changes to the current withdrawal limit of $5 later on after your user base might have increased, because I have seen some gambling sites do that within a short period and some even apply this changes without notifying their users prior to it and it's not fair in my opinion.
256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lies told to cover up gambling habit on: April 24, 2024, 08:38:19 AM
But how about you and your wife to gamble together if you have the time so that you can know when to stop by encouraging yourselves and telling yourselves the amount of money that is small that you should use to gamble. I noticed some people on this forum always say something like they are hiding their gambling activities from their partners but not everyone. If it is done wisely and responsibly, a woman can easily be convinced. But some people can be afraid of their wife not to get addicted also.
I don't support the idea of husband and wife gambling, it's not advisable at all. From op story it appears there kids are still very young so assumings the two parents are gambling together who is going to watch out for the kids in between those time they are using to gamble.

Let the husband do his thing and not involve his wife except it's a business investment then it's necessary to involve wife but not gambling. It's left for the husband to gamble responsibly not to financially reck himself. To me I feel there are certain lies that are necessary just to keep the peace at home, especially when we know the type of wife we have.
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 23, 2024, 08:19:55 PM
Right from last season to this very season, Arsenal has been a much better team than Chelsea. Arsenal poor runs are always towards the end of the season. But having lost out of the champions league, I don't think that Arsenal is going to ruin their little chance or hope of winning the English premier League title. I am even anticipating that Chelsea will go back to their usual 10th position. This is because after meeting Arsenal tonight, Chelsea still has Aston Villa to meet weekend and I cannot confidently say that Chelsea will win either of the fixtures.

Talking about Crystal palace, I don't know how they suddenly became formidable towards the end of the season. Where has been their strength and motivation since the beginning of the season?
I kind of agree with your views, Chelsea is indeed on a tight corner of losing 6 points in these two games, Yes Arsenal is a better side today's game than Chelsea and Chelsea has already started receiving the heat from the Arsenal side in this first half game as Gunners has continued its mounting of pressure on the Chelsea's eighteen yard.

Whereas in their match with Aston Villa come weekend, from the recent performances of Aston Villa, I don't know where the faith of would be because Aston Villa's form in the last couple of matches is something the Blues would beg not to get humiliated in that game.
There has been many absurd mistakes with the Chelsea attack in the first half. with Jackson just performing as poor as usual with his lack of clinical finishing causing no threat in arsenal 18 yard box. The absence of Cole Palmer is glaring in this game tonight which goes to say without Palmer this Chelsea team won't be scoring goals.

Right from the very first minute of the first half arsenal has been so offensive leading to their first goal. I think if  Chelsea continue playing with this low confidence in the second half it's going to be Arsenal scoring the second goal in this game to win it.

As for  astone Villa I can't write off Chelsea yet based on Villa's great form at the moment, if you have been watching this season you will discover that Chelsea has been performing better especially in games we never they can survive. So it will be expected that we wait till that day to see what comes out of that game between Chelsea vs Aston Villa.
258  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How possible can a forum memeber visiting foreign local board here? on: April 23, 2024, 01:47:04 PM
Is there any penalty resultant of a bitcointalk forum memeber to double Cross in accessing and also contributing to foreigners local board discussions?
I thought of this because the pool of knowledge and learning is being way too broad and versatile which possibly I think that interested forum memeber can as well visit some foreigners local board and acquire some fact of knowledges maybe even have something profitable to contribute to the board as concerned.
No local board will not love to welcome meaningful contributions from anyone outside their local so long as the member can fluently speak/write in their local language. Understanding is a key to good communication and provided you can understand and the receivers in that local board can also understand what you're writing without difficulty then you're good to go.

Quote
I know I'll be next question how is it possible to cope with the foreigners local board since they specifically speaks their native language. So there I'll suggest using the translator and how about someone who has basic skills to be fluent with the language?
Op, to cope in what way? It is called a local board for a reason, and if you are not fluent in the local language of such board that's when you'll be having problems with coping. So wisdom demands you don't go there at all.

Using translator is I think is not in line with forum's rules. If you're so interested in any local board language, there are apps you can use to learn any foreign language, apps like Duolingo and Babbel can be useful, just go to google or apple playstore and download for use.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the biggest mistakes made by beginners in online gambling? How can they on: April 23, 2024, 10:20:11 AM
In the first instance, what led an individual into gambling for the first time has a lot to do with how he/she will view gamble and their responses or attitude towards it.

Some persons who could be classified as newbies may have gotten involved in gamble for the sole aim of killing boredom and you see them get wasted both with their time and money as they don't have an allotted time meant for gamble therefore using time that would have been useful to other projects on gamble. In other words, they turned to give priority to gamble over other things.

Another mistake apart from seeing gambling directly as a means of making money or income among newbies is how some newbies would be so lousy to think that they can double their money through gamble. You see someone that has $300 and is in need of $500 to purchase an item, he then decides to use gamble to top up the money from $300 to $500 only to lose it all at the end.

Another mistake

Sir Jim Ratcliffe said Manchester United fans should be more patient it was a signal that he would retain Erik Ten Haag as coach at his club, but if it is true that he has contacted Thomas Tuchel, it means he really wants changes at Manchester United for the better for next season.

However, replacing Erik Ten Haag with Thomas Tuchel will probably only make United the same team, the changes will not be significant because we can see how Tuchel at Bayern Munich failed to bring the team to retain the title and also dominate it in the Bundesliga, Tuchel only looks good when he is successfully brought Chelsea to the Champions League title but afterward, Chelsea also had difficulties in the English Premier League, and what is interesting is that there are rumors that United will use the services of Graham Potter if Ten Haag is no longer at Old Trafford, as well as Mourinho's name being mentioned as one of the replacement candidates and all of them are names who have coached at Chelsea.

The current Manchester United squad actually contains quality players and can be said to be great players, but unfortunately they I think are in the wrong hands at this time, Ten Hag has so far not been able to improve the performance of his players well and even made their players' performance often experience a decline in performance, so far we can see how Manchester United managed to get great players like Casemiro,  Antony, Hojlund and even Varane whose quality we cannot doubt when playing with Madrid, but when he plays for Manchester United now it Exactly his market price drop dramatically as a sign of his deteriorating performance, I think if if the current squad is coached by coaches like Pep Guardiola and maybe Sir Alex Ferguson of course we will see Manchester United not only will be able to compete in the EPL but maybe even in UCL in my opinion.
Manchester united do need a handful of cleanups to do in their team and this cleaning is not just applied to Ten Hag alone, but to players like Rashford and Antony and 1 or 2 players am not yet certain about yet. For Rashford, he plays as though his mind is no more in the Manchester united team and I think he should be shown the exit door by any new coach that will be replacing Ten Hag next season. As for Anthony, I don't know if it's a lack of maturity that's affecting him, for his attitude on the pitch with ball is disgusting and even this season he hasn't made any tangible contribute to the team but rather causing the team so blows in matches.

In essence what am saying is that, as ten hag leaves some of these players that are no more making impact in the Manchester united squad should be sold out, and any new coach that wants to make progress with the team must apply high level of discipline and connectivity with the players which is one skill lacking in ten hag which has affected United performance so far. And a replacement of ten hag shouldn't be Thomas Tuchel as he is not the right man for this Manchester united job.
