These fanboys are incredible...

Bitcoin's distribution happened in that way because people were ignorant about the technology.
Dash's distribution happened in that way because of the instamine. And the instamine happened because of a bug. And the bug was most likely intentionally placed, otherwise Evan would have restarted the project shortly after. He had no reason not to do it.

1.5 Million BTC's were mined in almost 1 year
1.5 Million Dash were mined in 8 hours.

It's that simple.

Any comparison between the distribution of the two is simply insulting.

Well, I think your math is not correct Wink
1 masternode each 4 days than 365 days / 4 days = 91,25 each year Smiley it`s quite far from 400 don`t you think? ....

Yes, it was pretty rushed and i have corrected my comment. Anyways, 100 masternodes per 1.1 years, if you judge based on his admission, is still a massive farm-like production, and there are very big chances that he owns more than what he admitted to. The real question is, how many Masternodes does Evan own ? "Within 8 hours over 1.5 million coins were mined, which is most of the instamine.". It is very funny to see people claiming a Decentralized Governance when these guys own this much voting power.

in my turn i always thought that bitcoin's blockchain should be reset, into a clean and evenly distributed coin. i'd gladly receive my personal stash of free 1000 bitcoins of personal potestative right.

If you are comparing the distribution of Bitcoin with the one of Dash, then you are completely banged up in the head.

First of all, Satoshi Nakamoto, the genius who created the platform for Evan to fork and instamine via bug implementations, gained so many bitcoins because nobody gave a shit about Bitcoin in the beginning. How can you even compare the two ?

I'm pretty disappointed in Evan and his explanation of Dash's instamine. In the last Fintech he said that bias can be a powerful thing, which is why he changed the name from Darkcoin to Dash. Well, i'd say that having an instamine caused by a "bug" during the time where almost every shitcoin developer was doing shady things to the code in order to get unfairly rewarded, is a more powerful bias than having the former name attached to your project.

I'm afraid that at this point we are talking about "decentralized governance" where more than 51% of the voting/rewarding power is being owned by 2 people, Otoh and Evan. If i recall correctly, Otoh admitted on having 500 masternodes not too long ago, and although the chances of owning even more are pretty high, if we take 500 masternodes and calculate the profit, we would see that those alone are giving birth to 1 masternode every 4 days. We are talking about 100 masternodes being generated every 1.1 years just by 1 guy.

Evan had and still has all the time in the world to restart the blockchain and continue with this innovation the right way, but instead he keeps reminding us how big is his share at this point, otherwise he would have no reasons not do do it.

I'm not saying that the team should work for free, even though Satoshi showed you that the opposite can be possible, without having to rely on IPO/Crowdsale/Premines, but you could've been more upfront with the method of gaining funds in the beginning. Probably the best way would've been to have a development salary proposed every month and have people agree with it via voting. Unfortunately, the idea came too late.

I'm also surprised at the fact that it took almost 1 year for the bubble to deflate. Otoh mentioned countless of times in here that he started manipulating Dash's price since last year when the price was somewhere between 600 and 700k. Sometimes i feel like the delusion is so high in here that the deflation happened because these guys were dumping their masternode revenues and not because of the people realizing that they were holding over-inflated priced coins.

PoloniBox
Insights to the logs of Poloniex exchange's chat

There is a lot of discussion going on Poloniex's trollbox, and there are no (wo)men who are able to follow all the conversations, and observe the reputation and trustworthiness of users and their statements. Thus, I felt a need to create a service which solves the problem of trust, and encourages people to be responsible, discouraging anyone from scamming others.

I started hosting the project on a free web server, but the demand made the host's servers overloaded. The great words of the Poloniex trollbox made me decide to buy my first domain and web storage:

I proudly present http://polonibox.com/, a trollbox tracker website which I have made and will be working on. Please donate if you can, in order to let me pay the price of the servers. Wink

Hi! What happened with the website ? It says account suspended. Are you planning on reviving it ? There were countless of times when i had to rely on it.

^

I was a big fan of Darkcoin/Dash in the past. If i remember correctly, i was the one that revived the whole name changing thing last year and i was very glad that it finally happened, although i thought for a while that Dash sounded pretty stupid.

I admit the fact that i find Evan to be a hard working and talented guy, but he did some big mistakes in the beginning, whether intentional or not, that made this whole project look very shady. The kind of suspicion that will always shadow over the innovations that this guy is bringing.

We all remember that in 2014, the main traits of a scam coin were: "Instamine" (happened with Dash), "Reduction of supply" (happened with Dash) and "Rebranding" (happened with Dash). The thing is that in 2014 we were all naive and beginners in the altcoin scene and maybe Evan saw that and took advantage of it, without ever imagining the repercussions that he would suffer after. This is the story of a visionary young man that started a project with a lot of greed in his mind.

I always thought that the only way to change this is for Evan to quit this project and start another one with a clean distribution and conscience. The current marketcap is at 13.5 million dollars, which should never be a problem considering that Bitcoin is about to fork with a 3.5 billion marketcap. Yes, some people would suffer as a result of this, but not many. 13.5 million dollars in marketcap is nothing. Start another blockchain, use the same code/vision and simply own the altcoin scene, unless you still want to make a lot of profit from those masternodes and you just cannot stop.

If that happens, i will be the first one to invest all my money into it. Probably many more after me...

The amount of Shf premined is 250K. You see that on the top post. The percentage of the total Shf we can not say because we dont know when mining will be ended. No blockexplorer as far as we know. But you can check all the blocks, all the way from genesis. ./shift-linux-amd64 dump 0

That will dump the genesis block.

Premining a shitcoin is so early 2014.

Moderator bans me for 2 months+ trying to teach me a lesson, but instead he learns a lesson. To not ever ban a well-reasoned bear that's contributing at making a less pretentious and less circle-jerking bull-infested swamp-like thread.

It was truly atrocious to see so many bitcoin bulls going full retard during the Grexit speculation.

Anyways, here's an x-ray of a squirrel

Unless the TwinklePimple brothers release some sort of a countdown for their over-hyped Gemini exchange, BTC will have nothing to cling on while on its way to sub-100$.

>230  Huh

This pathetic micropump didn't shake 1 millimeter out of the current massive bear trend. Think long term. Think big!

If you are talking about the decline from 1200 USD. Then I think that is a bit simple minded. Great things start with a BANG!, and then settle down afterwards. While you suggest perhaps the big boom and subsequent decline after as a sign of failure, i'd suggest the opposite. It's not a bubble. If it had never boomed to 1200, then it would be more a failure.

Take the universe for example. The big bang.

When babies are born they come out yelling at the top of their lungs.

That is a good thing.

ROFLMAO at your analogies.

Things are very simple.

The bitcoin pump started at 70-100$ as you can see in the graph

and the current trend shows you that it's about to go back to a similar price before booming again if, of course, if it will live to its true potential.

Good that you didn't purchase more. A 480$ loss for those 3 btc's in 2016 doesn't sound that atrocious.
