241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it right to advice other people against gambling for personal reasons like?? on: April 12, 2024, 03:58:41 PM
There are some people who have this kind of attitude of discouraging others based on their own experiences, and this same kind of people can also discourage people too not to take part in what has benefited them in order to keep all the profits to themselves.

The post is just a testimonial of an irresponsible man seeking relevance in the society, from the obvious he was even more stupid to have lost such an amount and announced it on a social media expect he didn't lose the money but a story.

The risk in gambling is what has been written all over the place, everyday people see this warnings and ignore them but later they start blabbing how bad gambling is. If you decide to take the risk it shouldn't be extended to others that the rule of gambling.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would a gamblers statistics in graph and chart form, be of any help? on: April 12, 2024, 03:40:51 PM
The idea is quite an innovative one but I don't think casinos (online casinos) would love to include such features to their websites as they might be thinking that it's a way to loss customers who gambles on a regular.

If such a idea is bought, it will surely help the conscious gamblers who are responsible enough to control how they gamble, ones they see that they are loosing too much they will quit and try to re-strategize how they gamble the next time hence it could lead to a more responsible gambling habit or pull some people out of addiction. But that will be if there is already a measure or an analysis of how an addiction can be observed because some people might not be addicted but loss regularly or win regularly so it's going to be a tough time determining how addiction can be described or measured.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do some people hide to gamble on: April 12, 2024, 01:23:29 PM
The fact that some people have a different perception of gambling that could be the reason why they hide to gamble. In some areas in my country, gamblers are seen as some kind of weird people who take part in bad acts but while it's actually not bad but the ideology of the people around is that gamblers are bad people so when some people who gambles wants to do it they kind of hide to do it not that people hide to gamble.

I have seen people gambling online casinos while travelling in a public vehicle but because it's not seen as a bad act over there it's normal for them but in some areas where it's not too acceptable then the gamblers have to hide to do what they love.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is gambling to you, a fanfare or potential financial havoc? on: April 12, 2024, 01:14:45 PM
The view of gambling is very intertwined but at the end it's all about fun. No matter the end result of a gambler we should know that first it was out of love for fun that turn into greed which could lead to the bad effects we find in most gamblers.

Where we can draw a line between fun and getting addicted is knowing your limits. It's fun to gamble but when you exceed your limit which you can accept with clear conscience then it's not longer a fun act but a greed intense action to either make ones self proud or to achieve a goal of making a cool cash.

So at the end every one should know the level which they can accept whatever they put into gambling, if you derive joy from gambling then stick with the fun not stake what can not afford to loose that when lost you will continue to chase losses that will lead to addiction.

I guess you have put yourself in a better place.

It's good to hear some people get motivated in what they want and never give up. If you want anything in life you have to go for it regardless of how low your thinking you are, at least over time you will learn.

Now for a good English, you can use AIs like Grammarly, Quillbot etc to write good English when you will wish to communicate in a better English, that has been what most people from other countries have been using for a long time now and it works for them. You should try using it.
246  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Avoid these crypto investment mistakes on: April 12, 2024, 07:27:50 AM
Hello fam, please read closely e get one wise quote, way I like so much " a stitch in time saves nine" for this investment game no body know everything all at once , we are all Learners , and trust me, we go continue to dey learn and also dey adapt as long as say na this investment game. Normally e get some mistakes way we dey make as investors normally , nine make I say make I bring them to the table so we go fit educate ourselves  and also improve our investment skills. The first most common investment  mistake way most of us dey make na

•un-diversified portfolio:  this one just dey like putting all your eggs in 😂 one basket. Which means say anything way sup for that basket go affect all your eggs. So make we try to spread our investment across other reasonable assets.  then another major investment mistake na

 • timing the market: This one done really affect many people, way be say them no dey fit hold investment or wait for the right time to invest. This matter way I dey talk so , done make some people sell some kind assets way them suppose hold for maturity too early, and also make some people go buy too early, so make we just allow the market do em thing, because these big moves way we dey find , to be honest, e dey take time.
And then the last major mistake na

•In-adequate research: This one na to dey make investment decisions without proper research and strategy, one thing we suppose know na say we need to understand how this thing works, no be magic, we need to go into comprehensive research to get the best out of our investments.
Diversification is very important for ones investment life whether na cryptocurrencies or any other investment diversification is very important but it's only required when one already have enough investment, like for example; you cannot have a hundred dollars investment in bitcoin and be thinking of diversion because it's not yet worth to diversify but when start having life thousands of dollars in an investment then you can start think of investing in other areas of business or other cryptocurrency.

Since market time has been a big issue in the crypto space, the investment strategies has been developed to control our investments market timing. If you DCA, Lump Sum or buy the dips you will reduce the rate at which you worry for market timing.
247  Economy / Economics / Re: The benefits of risk taking on: April 12, 2024, 12:25:39 AM
Risk is when a person is exposing him/her self to dangers, possibility of incurring loss or misfortune
So many people run away from business opportunities just because they fear they will run into loose and didn't want to take such risk
I have come to the realization that the word risk is part of life and that it is better you take part in it than not
From history it has been said that the great entrepreneur and business men/woman where all risk takers when you take risk you throw your self to the real of possibilities
Yes it's very good to take risk but it depends on what type of risk you're about to take it, is it a risk that is what it or not. A lot of people take unnecessary risk, like driving recklessly etc those kind of things are the unnecessary risk but spend 5 hours a day to practice something that you have learnt to become perfect is a necessary risk, there are so many necessary risk that one should always take especially when it comes to business and it's not every one that has the ability to run a business yet they're millions of people looking for who will invest on them or buy their thoughts.
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to the common man. on: April 12, 2024, 12:10:35 AM
Yes, patience is really needed when investing in Bitcoin because without patience it will be difficult for us to achieve success and also the knowledge and money that is ready to be lost is worth using to invest in Bitcoin.
Definitely, patience is required to succeed in virtually every business area including bitcoin as an investment but a lot of people lack this patience resulting to lost of funds. This is one of the reasons what why we are encouraged to invest in bitcoin as a long term investment rather than short term because of it's volatile nature we can run losses at anytime because the market can not be predicted accurately hence it fluctuates.

It's not all about the money that is ready to be lost, it's about a spare amount of money that one can afford to loss which means if you have a thousand dollars and if hundred dollars can be lost without you bordering yourself too much then it's what you can do with our and that's the kind of money that is need for bitcoin investment.
249  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Delegate your Income and you'll earn more money on: April 11, 2024, 10:03:49 PM
For sure, one can only be rich when you stop working for money and money starts working for you. That's the true meaning of financial freedom.

Most of the people in the working class find it very hard to move the upper class because they find themselves working more jobs to get more money than investing more money to make bigger money. If I own a business and it's giving a profit if $100 every month instead of me to be using it to settle daily struggles, if I use it to invest in another business that brings another $100 then it has doubled just like that one can reach financial freedom but when you keep using the profit for settling down then it becomes hard to be the rich person you wish for.

So truly delegating ones funds to make more funds is very much valued in the richer prospect of life.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Interacting with Solana Dapps also require revoking approvals afterward? on: April 11, 2024, 09:06:35 PM
There are certain bugs that can be used to drain one's wallet, whether it's on the Solana or any other blockchain. Scammers are so smart that they upgraded at every level, so since Solana is the new game, I believe they will also find their way there.

The only thing is that if you feel like you should revoke your address, then you should, because threatening sites could have been used with or without one's notice. So we have to be very careful with whatever we do with the internet. Even though it's claimed that a particular network is free from bugs, it's still not a guarantee.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: seeking good projects on: April 11, 2024, 09:03:39 PM
Well, from what your content says it's obvious that you want to know how things work with the altcoins, perhaps we can not specifically know what is going to happen in the next minute of the market whether of the altcoins or Bitcoin market we can not know what exactly will happen so it's all about speculation.

Currently, there are so many altcoins (including shitcoins) in the market with alot of hypes and we can not longer know the next coin to boom. So most of us gamble with different tokens hoping to get at least one out of the many. And there are other strategies that people follow now to invest in Altcoins, like taking the top ten coins in the kist to invest in them and I believe this strategy has worked that made in popular or prominent in the altcoin space.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Are You Identifying Potential Coins for the Bull Run? on: April 11, 2024, 09:02:10 PM
There are lots to consider when choosing an altcoin or alts to invest in, but I focus more on where the token is listed it's more like the most important and relevant of them all, because before a can be listed an a very reputable exchange it must really have tried to prove itself worthy.

There are other things to look at like the trading volume, on chain activity or utility etc. But when the listing part is covered i just go ahead to gamble with those coins because it might pay off some day.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most awesome whitepaper for an altcoin on: April 11, 2024, 08:57:29 PM
In your own view the author is a genius but from my perspective he could also be targeting good attention as he specifically focus on the flaws of other tokens that are considered scams.

He isn't promising anything for a reason. Well maybe i just simply don't trust tokens that are independent contracts or projects that are developed by a single author.

But the fact is no matter how good the white paper is people will probably not value reading it.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasoning before investing can save you from lose on: April 11, 2024, 08:56:01 PM
Yeah, reasoning before you invest in any project is very important it's almost the same thing as doing your own research before you invest.

If you don't think of what you're going into then you will probably regret every of you actions. So it a very valid advise just know what your doing in the crypto space and only do with what you are comfortable without, which is practically invest what you can afford to lose. Because most times this scam projects go a wide range to make this scam look convincing.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you ever be able to buy stocks in Web3 ? on: April 11, 2024, 08:53:24 PM
Although one can still buy stocks on web3 right now but it's rare to see a platform that offers such services but they actually exist.

Perhaps those project which have been promising real life experience on web3 are majorly pump and dump projects that where seeking attention and since they know how interested people in the stock market that lead to the approach of using web3 stock buying as the key marketing strategy.
I also have such experiences of buying some fucked up projects that will die off on your hands while waiting for the price of project to go up or for the project to fulfill it's promises.
256  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: POWER OF CORRUPTION on: April 11, 2024, 08:20:05 PM
Corruption has been rooted in us for so long that it can't be reshaped now. Greed is the core root of corruption which equally means that we all have our inbuilt corruption that is quiet exposed as soon as we come in contact with the catalyst. and what are the catalyst of corruptions? there are so many e.g power, money etc so we can't concluded one catalyst as the cause of corruption in any country.
Sometimes I wonder what are the odds and possibility that Nigeria itself can be a free from corruption and so many other problems that faces the nation as a country. The number one  problem that is in this country is mainly corruption and when we say corruption, this one is has eaten deep into the heart of every man and woman in the  country and that's because we Nigerians used and see every opportunity as a chance to get the other person.
I call Nigerians opportunist because of the environment which we find ourselves, being a Nigerian is quiet a whole lot of job where you have to be as smart as hell to survive. This smartness that is required has been shifted from ordinary smartness to greed, and from greed to corruption where we want every thing for ourselves not think of whether it hurts the next person.

Since we have suffered this situation for a long term it's has been seen as normal to be corrupt and if your not a corrupt mind you're against the people. I don't blame Nigerians for any of this stuff happening around us but each and every one is accountable for the rate of corruption. If we help ourselves to an extent then the government will try to copy the principles of the masses not to be corrupt too and hence Nigeria could be a better place. We can not start solving our problem from the top, we have to start from grass to grace so the masses have more work to do than the leaders.

Corruption is not good but where it's needed for survival then there is no option for us than to follow. But they say change begins with one so if I can change myself then my environment will learn from me and hence everyone will learn too.
257  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What could be a comprehensive guide for a newbie here? on: April 11, 2024, 10:15:55 AM
I don't think you're serious with what you're saying here because if you're then you should have found it already before hand and with the above post from solosanz I believe you're not interested in learning rather you just want to keep yourself relevant in the forum.

You can use the search button to find whatever you want in the forum, and I believe you must be acquainted with how to use the search button if you're not then you can look into this thread - [Guide] Searching effectively

If you spend more time in the forum, there is nothing too hard and believe me time made the people who you will see as pro the way they are. All you have to do is learn from what others are doing and if you want to be a problem as you said then you have to put more effort in practicalizing everything you learn from here not just reading.
258  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: POWER OF CORRUPTION on: April 11, 2024, 09:24:21 AM
Power and authority is money, which is quite understandable. Our beloved country is gradually fading away based on the hardship and corrupt practice displayed by these influential men who called themselves elders and leaders of the federal republic of Nigeria. As it stands, none of us is too big or too small to handle power. The nation is corrupt and it will definitely take time before it gets better. We just have to fight harder to achieve our aim in the market because we're finding it really difficult to stretch our the necessary actions required of us.
One of the problems we are facing as a nation is that we are too smart, and we are not just one nation but a multi-nation state, which has made the division in the country stand firm for a long time.
In my recent discovery, external forces like the world power (America) have seen the influence of our people in their country and thereby believe that if we start producing everything here with our consumption forces, we will not need to buy or depend on them anymore to do anything. They try to cause confusion in our leadership by using some fake promises to put in people who will work under their power in order for us to keep depending on them for survival.

If only our leaders were put into power naturally, without all these external forces having influence to sponsor and even threatening the incumbent president to step down for their own person, then our country would have started functioning more, and within a few years we could become another world power from here. The Americans are afraid that what happened to Norway as a country would happen to Nigeria, and with the population of Nigeria and the power force of Nigeria, the country will be so big and can even sponsor the other African countries to be so independent that Africa will no longer be a third world, but rather the most powerful and influential continent in the world.

The Americans know our story—how we began and how we got so much power and distributed it across Africa during the time of Ex President Babagida and Sani Abacha, who helped South Africa during the time of war and helped Cameroon too. The last thing you could relate to is helping Ghana as a country to inhabit its people, and after some time of peace, they had to leave back to Ghana, which was the incident that brought about Ghana's departure (Ghana must go). Now you can relate to how powerful she (Nigeria) is in the world and in Africa; hence, our peace and progress are the keys that hold Africa, so before Nigeria will have to be free, we must eliminate the rooted corruption from external forces like our colonial masters.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin been inflitrated by global elite? on: April 11, 2024, 08:55:46 AM
Between chain analytics companies, BlackRock, Saylor, centralized exchanges/government approval, demonizing/de-listing of privacy coins & wallets....etc, one has to wonder...has Bitcoin been infiltrated by global elite?

There is clearly a global agenda to gain control of populations, through every possible means. IMO, you have to very ignorant at this point to think otherwise.

Is Bitcoin really freedom money?
It's true that bitcoin is beginning to move from its initial purpose as a means of payments to more like an investment purposes.

But that doesn't change the fact about bitcoin that it's the decentralised system has made it stand out to be a freedom currency, where no age limit restrictions, no background restrictions etc everyone all over the whole world has the right to hold as much as they can depending on your capabilities or financial status.

It's also clear that their has been an effort to have control over bitcoin by this whales but no matter the effort they haven't succeeded in any of the means that was developed. So it's still the freedom money you knew it for and nothing has changed.
260  Other / Meta / Re: Option to Allow / Restrict merits on the OP Posts on: April 11, 2024, 07:39:12 AM
From your own biases it's quite okay for someone to stop himself or herself from recieving merit because there are lots of people out there without enough merit, so the merit should keep flowing around the ones that have less that's your opinion OP but it's not okay for a lot of people here.

The fact is merit shows how authentic a post is, perhaps you could get jealous of see as someone recieving a lots of merit in one post while you have been saying almost the same thing without merit but that's just how things work, you can say the rich in merit is getting richer while the poor in merit remains poor in merit.

The only thing that would have sound good is that merit source should look into the accounts of lower or less merited people that are seriously contributing to the forum and reduce the rate at which they send merit to (subjectively) already fulfilled members (legendary accounts).
