241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: August 12, 2018, 10:56:57 AM
What's the current state of the project? still Alpha? I also want to know regarding the KYC verification, what's the deadline?
242  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Ellipal cold wallet now on Indiegogo (forum-only special price) on: August 11, 2018, 02:33:12 PM
Not sure If this is an interesting offer or a phishy one. I have a few questions If you don't mind:

1. What is 10k $ only is going to do to the project?
2. If your goal is to raise money, why would you give bitcointalk users such an offer? 149$ - 39$ = 110$. That's a lot of money to lose for each product you sell.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Track your crypto portfolio using excel easy! on: August 11, 2018, 01:27:57 PM
Even though, you haven't shown any previews, I can guarantee that there is no excel document one could make that will look better then an actual application such as Blockfolio etc. There will always be a lack of features and limitations while working with excel.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🚀 Adbank 🤖: The New World Currency of Online Advertising on: August 11, 2018, 08:02:04 AM
Since Adbank is being traded on KuCoin, I thought It's worth sharing this article: https://medium.com/@jacksonwong2244/warning-kucoins-hong-kong-office-is-empty-29b5cee66f36

If you have coins there, trade If you want and withdraw instantly. That article could trigger an exit scam even If it was not planned to be that early.
245  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: August 10, 2018, 02:48:29 PM
Trezor is now supporting MetaMask, I believe It's the first hardware wallet that support that.

246  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ERC20 tokens and the wallets that one needs? on: August 10, 2018, 07:54:32 AM
Creating a multi coin wallet is a time consuming process so there is no one who does it for free. That's why we do have wallets such as Exodus, Coinomi, Jaxx etc but none of them are open source otherwise they wouldn't be able to make money from the build-in exchanges they have.

So If you are speaking about altcoins that are known and have a big userbase like LTC, DASH, Dogecoin + ERC20 Tokens etc. I would recommend going with a hardware wallet instead.
247  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How will atomic swops affect exchanges on: August 08, 2018, 08:19:49 AM
If the Atomic swaps exchanges will be easy to use like the centralized ones, then I see no reason on why people would continue to use bittrex, binance etc. In fact, It will be better because there will be almost no fees and more secure as you're in full control of your funds.

The current exchanges will become obsolete, maybe they'll switch to crypto/fiat instead of crypto/crypto because even If they choose to switch to atomic swaps, It won't be profitable as they can't charge any fees I guess?
248  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin exchange platform on: August 07, 2018, 09:51:02 AM
It depends which coin you're trading, a coin is not necessary available everywhere but the most reputable exchanges are Binance, Bittrex, HitBtc. It's possible that you might have to pass KYC verification in Bittrex.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin.io - Decentralized Cryptocurrency Exchange. Built By Traders, For Trader on: August 07, 2018, 08:16:30 AM
how we can add coin?

I searched and couldn't find anything so I'm going to assume they are not doing it. They are focusing on delivering a working project first.
250  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoin Wallets on: August 05, 2018, 11:06:33 AM
You can either run Bitcoin core in prune mode or simply use Electrum wallet which I find to be better option.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mainstream adoption [NEW] on: August 05, 2018, 09:22:03 AM
We should spread knowledge, everything else is secondary because If beginners understand how bitcoin works they'll be protected from scams, they will no longer store their funds in exchanges etc. we would avoid a lot of losses. If they don't however, you'll find them blaming bitcoin for their mistakes and leaving the bitcoin scene and that's not something we want.
252  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Which bitcoin core version is best for Merchant website on: August 05, 2018, 07:51:04 AM
It is almost completely certain that the accounts functionality does not do what you want and never has, in any case.

Accounts were created to be the backend of a long defunct webwallet service (that lost or ran off with everyone's funds), people often think they do things that they don't, such as act as multiwallet does (or even other things that don't make much sense in Bitcoin like "from addresses").

In that case, what does this update mean for online wallets? they'll have to shutdown unless they don't upgrade their bitcoind?
253  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Unikeys - biometric hardware wallet bringing worldwide crypto adoption on: August 04, 2018, 05:07:14 PM
You may want to avoid making multiple threads of the same thing/product If you don't want them to be deleted or get your account banned.

If you want exposure, I suggest making a signature campaign or simply ask people to translate it to their language and post it in localboards.
254  Economy / Services / FlowDocument - C# on: August 04, 2018, 05:01:22 PM
I'm looking for someone who is familiar with C#, the code should be in WPF, I don't really care If it's MVVM or code-behind as long as it works.

I have an SQL table, let's imagine:

Code:
SELECT FirstName, LastName, '' as [EmptyColumn1], '' as [EmptyColumn2] from USERS

So the first two columns will have the first and last name while the two last will remain name. I want to load these data into a FlowDocument or any other document really, as long as I'm able to keep the table header If there is a multiple pages.

The table should look like a real table (with borders and everything).

If you think you can do this, post below and we can negotiate a price. I can pay in BTC or ETH.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rootstock - Smart contracts for bitcoin, is it to be trusted? on: August 04, 2018, 07:53:15 AM
Rootstock is an open source project working on top of bitcoin as a side chain. you can see the source code and everything about it here: https://github.com/RSKSmart

being trusted or not should not depend on who is developing and what partners something has. it should be about the code and what it does! and this is not just about Rootstock but it is true about everything else including bitcoin itself.

Don't you think that could be said about Btrash too? I believe they are open source as well but that doesn't mean much with the people behind it.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Litecoin still a good investment? on: August 03, 2018, 12:13:16 PM
LTC is the silver, BTC is the gold. So yes, it's still worth investing regardless of what anyone else says. I'll choose it over Btrash at any given time as well.
257  Other / Meta / Re: TIL Activity does not work on precisely 2 week intervals + interval timings on: August 03, 2018, 10:12:43 AM
Hi. Im a newbie here. Could someone please tell me more about how to gain merits here. how many posts should I post to move faster up in the ranks? Is there a optimal way to post and where should I post? I enjoy this site because it is very informative with many experts online. How come it isnt more advertised on other social networks. Is there anyone here who has been on for moe than 1 year. If so could you please you please share with us your expereince . I would liek to know about the ups and downs of this site. So that I can leap frog some of the challenges.

The merit system was implemented only a few months back. After becoming Jr. Member you'll need merit points If you want to rank up any further.

If you want to get merits, you'll have to be helpful and hope that someone will read your post and merit you. What I have noticed is that people get more merits in Bitcoin-related sections (Including Beginners & help, Meta etc.) because in alt coin section, It's usually spammers who don't even read posts, so they can't tell whether your post was helpful or not.

258  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How to know user deposit coins if exchange's coin daemon server is down? on: August 03, 2018, 08:49:14 AM
They clearly have ways to handle this otherwise exchanges wouldn't have any users by now.

What gave you the idea they they should type the command manually? It's very likely that they have built other tools for making this process automatic, something that try to run bitcoind after it crashed or something and then run that command.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it most to approve Bitcoin ETF before bitcoin price increase on: August 02, 2018, 06:24:57 PM
If the ETF doesn't get approved, we may see a price decrease but the only reason for that is that people pay too much attention for this kind of events even though they're not that important.

For the long term though, nothing except the active development will bring bitcoin to a higher price.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hit bit cant get in my acount on: August 02, 2018, 04:31:22 PM
Your best option right now is to try and track your transactions. If you for example sent from X wallet (say Electrum) to Livecoin and then Hitbtc, then try from Electrum or try to go to your blockexplorer that you usually use and see If you still have a history of your searches assuming that you didn't delete it.
