Cryptopia is an excellent place to trade such an excellent coin like Solaris
The problem there is the $30,000 listing fee.
Its really expensive.

Edit: Its heading towards $40,000 now...lol

~$40,000 is too expensive for a developing coin like Solaris. Is the price fixed and no room for negotiation?

I really tried but I got this answer :

Cryptopia standpoint:

Quote
"As XLR will be a new coin, it needs to undergo coin and code review again and the fee reflects the work required from our Dev team as well as support for the life of the coin on Cryptopia. This is reflected in the listing fee, which is why we don't currently offer discounts. "

"Once the swap is complete, you can apply via Paytopia to have the new XLR coin relisted. We are happy for you to do this at anytime and we can wait until you are ready for it to go online, assuming it passes code review."

I agree that is ridiculous pricing and service.. I mean I like topia as an exchange for the most part. Its actually one of my go to places to trade at but thats a little much to just do a coin swap especially when the dev has proven to be a trustworthy dev with no malicious code. Sounds like they are just trying to charge for whatever they can to A) Be greedy and because they know they can and get away with it as some people will pay the re-listment price to get back on topia. B) To make the barrier of entry of high to reduce scams and everyone doing coin swaps and things like that. I tend to agree that they should at least offer a more fair price the coin isn't changing names or devs or anything really just the code base which the employees have probably read through a thousand times by now.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Experiences with CoinsMarkets.com? on: October 26, 2017, 05:31:02 AM
So far I'm torn with coinsmarkets as an exchange I like the fact its like a giant staking pool and you collect the staking rewards for coins. I also like the fact that it has a nine decimal orderbook which is great for arbitrage purposes. Some concerns I have though is the UI looks like a site that belongs in the 90's or the deep web are there any plans to do a face lift anytime soon? Another concern is security there is no 2FA only whitelisting IP's and Pin code as forms of security and that just makes me uncomfortable tbh. As far as withdrawals go, I'm 50/50 like most of the time they work correctly but sometimes I do have issues like today I've been trying to withdraw BTC all day and it doesn't process it, I just get taken back to the balance screen. Someone mentioned in chat that the withdraw feature may be disabled due to BTG fork but even if that is true I think better communication is needed. Anyone else had that issue??  Huh

We are working on the Zerocoin Implemention - ZeroSolaris ... stay tuned .

Thanks for your support   !

That's good news right there! Im excited to see what that brings the price to with zerocoin implementation is there a ETA on when we can expect that being done? So far XLR is a very easy pick and has a nice price rise in the near future. If ZeroSolaris is implemented correctly then this coin could easily be DASH 2.0 with the right amount of marketing and that would just be awesome to watch!  Cheesy  I just loaded up the wallet but its saying no block source, does anyone have the latest config node list I could use?
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ZOIN---Zerocoin Protocol NEW TEAM-NO PREMINE-NO ICO---ZOIN on: October 25, 2017, 01:01:02 PM
waiting for IoS app
There will also an android app too, right?

Yes I believe there will be both a iOS and Android app of the wallet if I understood the development information in slack correctly. I've thought about mining zoin myself with the spare cards I have. I doubt I would get too much but I'll have a look at that spreadsheet and crunch some numbers. Luckily electricity isn't really an issue for me and at a set rate each month so anything is free zoin.
245  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best Platform to use for Trading on: October 25, 2017, 11:27:39 AM
I'm just new here and would want to do trading in the near future,  could you please give me and advise on what is the best Platform I should use if ever I wanna start Trading?  Thank you in advance Chiefs.. Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

Depends on what country you are in atm and what coins you want to trade. The top exchanges for Bitcoin are Bitfinex, Bitthumb, and bitFlyer. Now if you want to learn to trade alts then I would recommend an exchange like Bittrex or Cryptopia.
246  Economy / Reputation / Re: Confessions of an Economic Sh*tman on: October 25, 2017, 11:19:09 AM
Hi Thy - great to communicate with you finally, wish it was under better circumstances.

Regading Brian Gaer, I'll post what I know, which is unfortunately not a lot.

As you may know, we were both members of the Bitcoin Investment Group (BIG). He was quite active and built up a good reputation. I think this came from several factors - working for a legitimate company, having proven large salary and really (AFAICT) knowing what he was talking about in regards to trading, bonds, etc.

What I *believe* happened in regards to myself and another member of BIG who were recruited to handle parts of TRADER for him, was that our decent reputations (mine was still decent at the time), were leveraged by him to add legitimacy to his projects by association.

My role with TRADER was to manage investments only on the P2P BTC lending side on BTCjam and BitLendingClub (I never actually made any on BTCjam for trader). I was allocated a fixed amount of BTC and kept public the investments which were made (IIRC, else I probably posted in BIG most of them as they were in a Google Spreadsheet). I pretty much lived and breathed P2P BTC lending at the time, so it felt like a good opportunity for me.

I'd also virtually met Brian previously as part of the ALTIS (or ALT?) investment group with a few others, but had left that not long after as it wasn't my thing, with many meetings and group decisions.

Anyway, back to TRADER: At some point in the group, questions were asked of Brian, regarding the legitimacy of his various securities listed. His responses were non-existent or shady, which raised alarm bells for me and had me starting to think I was being used for my association value. Soon after, the other TRADER member and myself announced that we would exit from TRADER and the BLC account of TRADER and management of the accounts was handed over to another BIG member.

I really didn't know how any other parts of TRADER operated, I was just doing the P2P lending side. It actually yielded pretty good dividends for several months at least (the P2P side of things, at least) and the stock price was traded fairly well - I think I had some at initial IPO, then sold for a few BTC profit. Eventually, I made 2 bad investments in Kevin Kelly and Gerald Wilkie Jr - as once again, I thought they were solid or at least people committed to repaying if late, as Kevin had in the past.

I was happy to disassociate from the project, but it still obviously impacts my reputation somewhat.

I was one of the first to start pressing Brian for answers in BIG and was met with hostility as was the original questioner and those to follow. Odd behaviour, such as big silences, stories of hacking, illnesses, etc came out and around December, I think that was the last he was seen or heard from in the group.

At this point, I can only speculate on what happened with Brian and all his projects. Though I do have wild fantasies, that is about all they can be until someone finds out.

To me, the P2P debts are clearly debts - the stock options/securities or what not are perhaps less enforceable of shareholder repayments, just like any stock one can speculate on without promise of dividends, etc. Even in December, the first BTCjam loan payment missed of ~ 12 BTC should not have been hard for him to repay, so based on my own experience, he was probably in trouble long before that and trying to fill many buckets with holes in them from other such buckets.

If he is still employed at his job, then there is hope as it's a decent salary and he's definitely a smart enough guy to earn more, but if there is no communication, then perhaps he has chosen an alternate path out of this. If he is reading this, I encourage him to at least make communication with people and make a tiny BTC repayment in a sign of good will. Can move a mountain, one stone at a time, etc...

Cheers,

Leon

^Just thought I would set the record straight here in case anyone ever does check this thread anymore, Leon did end up paying everyone back that he owed plus interest it took awhile but he kept his word which is very rare in this game. Brian is still AWOL but Gerald Wilkie Jr can be found on CCC facebook group and as far as I know he's never even made an effort to repay lol.  Grin
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [BTS] Bitshares #1 Fastest Crypto, Tokens, DEX, ICOs since 2014 (unofficial ಠ_ಠ) on: October 25, 2017, 11:03:42 AM

I think some every proposal is good imo, but if I had to choose I would say:

2) Implementation of the Atomic Swap mechanism.

Such a mechanism will allow the exchange of funds from one blockchain (Bitshares) to another (bitcoin, as the first), without any participation from third parties. In this case, BTS, MPA (bitUSD), and UIA can be used as bitshares funds.

Given the fact that there is only one real decentralized exchange, the ability to enter it from other blockchains, without any risks (technical and regulatory), and the participation of third parties (gateways), creates huge economic potential for the platform and the cryptocurrency economy.

^This is highly important with the way centralized exchanges have having legal issues in some countries from their heavy handed Government. I can easily see BTS being the replacement exchange for a lot of people that want to get out of centralized exchanges.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]★CryptoBridge★BCO★🔹Decentralized EXchange 📈RELEASED NOW BETA🔹 on: October 25, 2017, 10:44:26 AM
So couple questions from an investing standpoint.

1. How did you guys come up with the 50% profitsharing number? The way you structured this feels almost like buying stock in a regular business, however a stock in a regular business gets you the same share as what you pay for. In this case, if I buy all the bridgecoins available I only have 50% of the company.

2. I understand there must be an incentive for you to run/maintain the exchange, so rewarding yourself with 50% of the profits is one way to do this instead of doing an ICO and taking x% of coins for yourself. Once you don't have ANY coins, you are purely incentivized to make this exchange grow and reap the rewards. Instead of, like with most ICO's, pumping up some sort of business and running away with a couple million. BUT, I think you also started mining bridgecoins for yourself, so while not explicitly giving yourself x% of bridgecoins, by being the first miner, this is what happened anyway? How many bridgecoins do you have?

3. Building the product is just the first step in running a succesfull business, redistributing all the profits seems nice, but what happens when you want to grow this exchange and need money to do this (advertising/employees/lawyers/etc). Who will pay for growth, who will decide how to grow?

4. Previous point leads to this point: Who are you? People are saying this isn't relevant, but it is relevant once I buy bridgecoins, become a shareholder and have my profits in your hands.

Man good questions I wouldn't mind hearing the answers to these myself; I mean so far I like the idea and the product but the author above does bring good questions and I also fail to see how that isn't relevant and would like to know myself. If you don't want to dox yourself then no one can force you to but growth for your product will be a lot slower because ppl wont trust you as easy. I don't bridgecoin gives you ownership of anything but the fees. Here's from the website:
"How you as a BridgeCoin owner can benefit from CryptoBridge Decentralized Exchange:

After the full version of CryptoBridge launches, participating BCO owners will receive 50% from all profits from operation including:

Trading fees
Coin signup fees
Profit from internal arbitrage
Referral program"

So it doesn't say anything about voting shares for development path going forward therefore I would say bridgecoin is more of a common stock then a bond or blue chip stock.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💥SOLARIS XLR💥 ⚡ Masternode ⚡ PoW, PoS,Obfuscation,Seesaw⚡ Web Wallet⚡ on: October 25, 2017, 10:27:40 AM
Finally, the first exchange (http://www.coinsmarkets.com/trade-BTC-XLR.htm). I have already done some transactions there.
When you withdraw was 0.001 BTC fee now is back Sending fees = 0.002 BTC. A little higher than other exchanges. With low payouts, it is disadvantageous.

Sending fees = 0.002 BTC Huh  This is an outright robbery!

This is four times higher than coinexchange.io !   There are only 0.0005 BTC

I will wait for the listing on coinexchange.io, Up to this point, let the coins be on the local wallet.

That is crazy high fees, the price difference at this exchange should hopefully make up the difference on the fees heist and if coinmarkets is reading this please do everyone a favor and use the excess funds redesign the UI and add 2FA. Im glad XLR is on there but as mentioned above the fee's are up there to withdraw your funds which tends to turn ppl off using your exchange. But back to XLR if anyone wants to dump I would be more then happy to have my buy orders filled.  Grin
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚒ Syscoin -Active Lightning Networks!Decentralized Business Blockchain Platform! on: October 25, 2017, 10:19:22 AM
Love the progress with the dev team, still accumulating wont have enough for a masternode unfortunately but I'll keep working at it!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Question for the community is there any place to implement a postal system similar to eBay for shipping? That would be very cool and easily be competitive against Ebay, Amazon, Esty, etc. Blockmarket will already be competitive in a lot of regards and once marketing takes off SYS will become very valuable in that regard. But I feel like that really is the last piece to the Blockchain product to make it a top 5 coin easy especially when the alts bubble pops and a lot of alts die syscoin will be one of those special coins that lives on because people all over the world use it.  Cheesy
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ✅ Xios PoS/PoW No ICO/No airdrop/No Premine/ ⚡ Masternode Ready 🔥Scrypt🔥 on: October 25, 2017, 04:41:02 AM
I like the idea of this project and the the fact its so new but without stable mn's or staking I don't see it taking off unfortunately. People these days are looking for passive income and staking coins with masternodes and the works allow for that but it does have to work correctly otherwise it turns people off to the coin. When coinsmarkets disable staking of all places then you know you got problems and we cant count on another exchange to add us until that is fixed imo. Speaking of which, any status update on when that will be fixed by chance? Coinsmarkets said they reached out to the dev's and are awaiting a response from them. Overall the coin still has potential imo but definitely needs work for stability long-term.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: InflationCoin - IFLT - 80% PoS Year II - Livecoin exchange 12/15 - Yobit- Alipay on: October 25, 2017, 03:27:15 AM
Will keep on staking IFLT till price reaches 10 sats.  Smiley

Oh come one, hold out for 100 sats at the drop to 8% APR that's when the real money will get made

LMAO damn thats a long ass time to hold this one. So far I don't see the problem with HODL for the long term considering the staking rate does go down as time does march on. The fact it has a good community and actual development in progress are strong indicators. Something to consider and this is just my opinion but I would change the name of the coin at some point down the road; the word "inflation" is associated with the loss of purchasing power over time and other negative events. That turns people off to the coin imo and makes it even harder to market on top of it being really low on the marketcap with literally hundreds of other coins again just my opinion and food for thought.  Wink
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BATA (BTA) Scrypt PoW/PoS HYBRID & MASTERNODES -- soon on: October 23, 2017, 01:37:04 PM
So the price of a masternode is looking better and better everyday but a question about that. I know its 10,000 BTA required for a masternode but what is the payout rate suppose to be compared the PoW and tiered staking? Bittrex delisting BTA turned out to be a blessing in disguise for me gave me a chance to invest into it more its one of the safer ones I see Cryptopia rising to the levels of Bittrex I already use it more then Bittrex tbh but I would definitely try to get listed somewhere else just to keep the coin from fading; Bittrex was a big loss that fact cant be denied.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: InflationCoin - IFLT - 80% PoS Year II - Livecoin exchange 12/15 - Yobit- Alipay on: October 23, 2017, 12:24:51 PM
I've tried the Android wallet today. Looks good so far, but everything is a bit too small an my Samsung fullHD display. The GUI needs some scalability depending on screen resolution, otherwise it's not easy to press a button.

Had 2 crashes too, first one at first start and then later another. But given this is all still very new, I'm sure this will all be resolved soon.

Good work, thanks, and happy staking Smiley

But price is zero. there is no one willing to buy even for 1 satoshi. I sad

^true the price is zero but there are other markets to make money with inflation I personally use LTC and DOGE markets for the time being. Plus trading is likely to go back up once bitcoin corrects after the whole BTG is done.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥⭐[ANN] WiC|Monetizing WiFi Sharing| ⭐🔥 App Launched! 🔥⭐ on: October 23, 2017, 11:58:13 AM
Whats up  with the strict rules on the password when I try to sign up?

Why cant I set any password I would like?

It is for everyone's safety since your account holds your WiC. You could login through your google or facebook account too.

Guy's you have to work more for the marketing and updating website

Especially a new website built by pros would be a quick win. Should have been done already. It's a big turn off for potential users AND investors. Along with it we need some well done how tos and marketing stuff like flyers for everybody to download. All of this needs to be done by people with a background in design and publishing.

I agree with this statement right here the app sounds awesome I have been a follower of the project for awhile now and sadly I did not buy into the ICO and the reasons are pretty much the same reasons that marketing is very competitive for a new niche and also the fact this has been tried before as someone stated above and it hasn't worked out from everything I've researched like public wifi spots by internet providers are the closest thing to comparison imo. The reason is people just don't sharing their wifi networks it makes them uncomfortable someone else they don't trust using their network WiC has solutions but its gonna be tough to sell those solutions so that will be the hardest hurdle for the team to overcome and you need good marketing to get that done.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]COSS Token Swap ICO is LIVE on: October 23, 2017, 11:36:52 AM
Any report of dividend received
like how much % and days ?

That's my question or do they just expect everyone to keep track of the gains/loss with each payout. Thats not too hard to do but will get old the more coins added as times goes on. Another elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about is what happens when the government takes in interest in the legal aspect of this project? Surely paying out dividends on shares is considered a security to most governments and thats on top of offering ICO's on the platform as well in the coming months. I wouldn't be nearly as concerned if it was on a decentralized exchange platform if all this was happening on its very exciting to see and collect passive income but I'm sure the government is eventually going to have some questions for them. Has the team and the developers secured funds for litigation should the need arise or are we just all at risk of having our funds seized for an active investigation should the government step in?
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]🔥 EXN 🔥 on: October 22, 2017, 05:05:18 PM
don't send spam emails (like scam scam to devs) they are working on project and exchange live in 18 day's

wait for some time, not possible to launch exchange in 2 or 3 day's

some people asking team and devs so that i post on forum and now they contacting devs and wasting their time

Well this should be a very interesting next 18 days if it does get launched lol.  Grin  The volume has dropped off but its still alive just barely but still alive none the less. the top wallet still has 61% of the supply and the the following two hold a good chunk of the supply still. Like the top 3 wallets own 84% of the supply so its too early for any huge dump the pump still has to happen for there to be a dump so better to set some very low buy orders and have patiences. Nothing set in stone of course this is crypto after all but 84% of the supply is a huge chunk which tells me this isn't over yet and more time is needed to get the price pushed up to where we all make some BTC!

Bitcoin was only $2,500 last time you updated. If you cannot even update the price, why anyone should buy your service?! Grin

It's clear that you don't understand the dynamics around cryptocurrency business and how everything has changed in the last few months. It's not about changing the value but the value of the service itself, that changed thanks to this exploding business. We saw this with a spike in our orders and Exchanges that doubled entry price for listing, now go and blame them too Cheesy You base the market only on your personal wallet, or maybe you post only to get paid by your signature campaign. Nobody is obliging you to use our services Smiley but I see you're creating multiple posts around the forum looking for a developer, our door is always open and we are ready to help Smiley

In other words he doesn't peg his services in $ he pegs it in BTC!  Cheesy Cheesy
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ZOIN---Zerocoin Protocol NEW TEAM-NO PREMINE-NO ICO---ZOIN on: October 22, 2017, 08:22:53 AM
The devs are currently working on it and doing the necessary tests.
The wallet will then be tested by volunteer members of the community.
It will be done very soon, I will give the date and time when all the steps will be validated.

I personally prefer to wait and have a wallet that is functional and working correctly then a rushed release so the dev team can feel free to take their time with the release. As long regular communications doesn't cease from the team I really don't see how this coin wont take off eventually its got everything it needs to be a successful project! Question for the dev team about the new wallet coming will it have Tor or I2P support and with the zerocoin protocol already built into it or is that for releases later down the line?
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]COSS Token Swap ICO is LIVE on: October 21, 2017, 08:35:38 PM
HERE ARE YOUR COSS DISTRIBUTION ANSWERS

1.  The button only converts the ETH currently so the idea is a) as the exchange pick up volume it will be a bigger return.  b) hold the stuff till u have more c) buy more COSS

2.  They are working on the DAO system that will convert ALL non-ERC20 tokens into ETH to be distributed as such.

3.  The other ERC20 tokens will go as they should to the appropriate wallets

KEEP IN MIND:

- COSS is only a month old

- In less then a year they should be doing 100M a day

- That doesnt include the $$$ from any other sources , the COSS card, platforms, mechant payments, etc.

- They have been talking about the possibility of having holders be able to choose how they would like to receive their payments. (All ETH or BTC vs a mix)

- Dividens are paid by "stocks" , Distributions are paid by COSS. Wink

- Its a safe bet that COSS does 50M in volume in 6months , so you can multiple your current earnings by 50x

- I hold 204,300 and some odd COSS and my total value of the payout for the 2 blocks (added up all the total values) is currently $61.33

- No, the ROI isnt huge right now, BUT there will be 3 very near,  tipping points.
A ) Rune told me to DAO should be done this week and fully working next Tues.  A finished DAO is a big milestone and I dont think we see sub .25 again.
B) As soon as they add the 8 or 10 coin Rune was saying they are adding, that will kick to min .30
C) By the end of the year, Ill eat my D*ck on National TV too if COSS isnt doing 3M a day in volume.   Essentially making the returns 3x (1m to 3m a day) and.....

Boom.

We have a $1 COSS by Jan.

That makes a psychological barrier break and then, 2, 3,4 etc.  I see COSS at $5-8 end of next year and $10-15 in 2 years.

Load up gents

That would be great outcome if all goes well and smoothly for the exchange. Unfortunately things change fast in crypto and COSS is coming into a time when dividend paying assets are considered securities and are under heavy scrutiny from the Governments of the world I wonder how the exchange and team plans to handle that should it come into question. Either way, I plan to accumulate a good chunk for passive income jic this exchange does take off smoothly.
