241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if there is nomore coins to mine? on: January 14, 2016, 05:08:28 PM
It is safe to assume that by 2140, new methods of mining Bitcoin will be around, maybe Quantum Computers are already available and we can mine Bitcoins in a viable way, so I wouldn't be worried of it becoming unsustainable.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jeff Garzik is supporting bitcoin classic - @theymos: kill him! on: January 14, 2016, 05:05:31 PM
Where did theymos say that Jeff Garzik must be killed? The policy on Bitcoin reddit is clear, any altcoin discussion doesn't belong in the Bitcoin reddit, specially if it's XT 2.0. This should be pretty clear in 2016 to be honest.
243  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC to skrill on: January 14, 2016, 12:28:25 AM
I think I used Virwox in the past the first time (or one of the first times) I bought some Bitcoin thanks to the SLL conversion, anyway you should try there, it's listed here and you can find a lot of info on Skrill related to Bitcoin in the wiki:

244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffet buying bitcoin? on: January 14, 2016, 12:02:07 AM
Nah I don't think so, he is a clever guy with finances, but too dumb to see value in technical things, already demonstrated this when he failed to predict the importance of the internet. Guy is too old.
245  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: i am near to jr.member on: January 13, 2016, 11:43:51 PM
please some one tell me which campaign is best to join and which campaign have space for me to join the signature campaign  .

Campaigns suck and only serve to further pollute these forums.

Shame on you for making this post.

If you are seriously looking to whore yourself out for signature campaigns, I might suggest visiting a busy street corner in your area late at night; you'll make more money, and it will be more fun. Maybe.

If campaigns are still going on it only means that both the brands being promoted are getting a good deal out of it, and the admins aren't bothered by it, it benefits them as it generates extra traffic for the website which is great, also the fact that they can be disabled make people complaining about signature campaigns a joke, at this point they are wasting their time since they will never go away. There are a lot of good posters like Lauda wearing signature campaings, even hilariousandco wears one, so please leave this forum if you don't like it and stop pretending as if you are superior and pure because you aren't wearing one to be honest
246  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Sig campaigns are fucked up on: January 13, 2016, 11:21:59 PM
I guarantee you that advertisement in sig campaign form works and works very well, a lot of the guys that have run successful campaings get a lot of traffic on their website. Bitmixer has been running this campaign for years now, so ask yourself, why do they keep doing it unless it was profitable? get a clue.
247  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Has anyone withdrawn Bitcoin from Cryptsy for the past 48 hours? on: January 13, 2016, 11:10:22 PM
Did anyone try this? i tried this and my money is now stuck in limbo, the transaction doesnt show up in blockchain, now my money is gone, is not anywhere to be found, it was also not much, but important to me, it was a BTC withdraw, now what do I do? Should I open a ticket? Sad
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we stress testing again? on: January 13, 2016, 11:08:28 PM
We can't have mega low fees for life that is a pretty delusional thought I think. Sure I think fees have to remain as low as possible for as long as possible but fees will have to eventually keep raising to not compromise decentralization of nodes.
249  Other / Off-topic / Re: If You Won A Million Dollars.. How Much Bitcoin Would You Buy? on: January 12, 2016, 11:55:43 PM
I like to gamble, So i would go All-in with bitcoin.
Yes not, 10%, 25% or even 50%.

Best case scenario, a lot of profit.
Worst case scenario, 20-40% loss.

That's a winner mentality really. All points to things doing great this year, so I would probably say fuck it, let's do it, and would go all in, then cash out like 30% after the massive pump that will happen in about June, and buy back even more BTC once the price settles. Repeat this during every big halving pump and end up with more BTC that I could ever count.
250  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have .00000001 bitcoin. Will I be a millionaire by 2046? on: January 12, 2016, 11:48:45 PM
Please stop.

Threads like this are pretty funny to be frank. At some point it just makes me laugh. But to be serious about it, I would actually say that you may be a millonaire with 1 BTC by 2046, but 1 satoshi? Man, that's some funny shit.
251  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: January 12, 2016, 11:45:39 PM
I try to buy every month if I have some extra money after paying all of the fundamental expenses like food, water, electricity and internet, everything else goes to Bitcoin.
252  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: January 12, 2016, 11:40:33 PM
By not saving and investing you have some chances of making a bigger amount of gains than just making money and saving, but you will always go slower if you don't invest. Money is time and not investing means you put more time as working gives you less gains, but if your investment goes wrong, you will spend double the time trying to recover.. so gamble away or work and store.
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: January 12, 2016, 11:33:41 PM
Store and stack is life. By trading you will eventually lose your money. Work, store, stack, that's how you get more Bitcoin. All other ways are a gamble, no matter what, the only non gamble is to work for it.
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Chinese firewall and Bitcoin split on: January 12, 2016, 11:28:15 PM
Great Firewall ... is only a BIG SHITED LIST on ISP.
In France, we have the same dumbed solution.

It's crazy how these providers have so much control.

provider should die, like the bank, they are another centralized aspect of our system, a kind of mesh network should take its place, so we can have a truly decentralized internet, without "big node" that control everything

it would have some security issues though
I don't think fixing internet access is so simple as removing internet providers from the picture. Having then is not ideal but removing their services could potentially do more harm than good.
Not to mention it is impossible as of now when internet structure is not even close to being able to function without data centers and centralized services.

For now, we are trapped inside the current mode, but in the future, long term, like 10 or 20 years, meshnet technology should be able to deliver a totally decentralized internet, which will be the end of internet censorship, and Bitcoin will be the king currency of this new internet, surpassing all other forms of money ever.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you get into Bitcoin? on: January 12, 2016, 11:26:09 PM
When I got in it was at around 700 USD. Luckly I didn't buy, but I became hooked with the technology and started researching it pretty much all of my waking hours. Im glad to be here now, ready for the next massive pump this year.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Unlimited another Bitcoin XT? on: January 12, 2016, 11:18:52 PM
They are just trying to do the XT thing all over again considering XT was a failure to ever gain notoriety, that's what im deducing after studying the situation. Im not buying.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Chinese firewall and Bitcoin split on: December 28, 2015, 11:24:02 PM
if china blocked the port bitcoin talks on.. they cant mine, relay, transact.. or anything else.. because they are blocked.. not just from europe or america but from themselves..

thats right they cant even relay to each other.. thus there would be no new chain as data cant be relayed..

if it can be relayed then, obviously they are not blocked and so there is no problem

Well if this is the case, it seems whoever wrote this article doesn't understand how the protocol works... I was worried for a second so thanks. It seems only the chinese would lose thanks to their stupid goverment.
258  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10 BTC. Will I be a millionaire by 2030? on: December 10, 2015, 01:11:38 AM
It's pretty much guaranted 10 BTC in 2030 will be a fortune, what is not guaranteed is that you will hold them for so long.. most people will give up the temptation during bubbles and will sell.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever win something big in demo mode and feel stupid? on: December 10, 2015, 01:07:06 AM
I went 1 BTC yesterday in the slots starting with 200 credits, i played today again in the same session and went from 1 btc to 0 BTC.. lol. Now im not too sad about playing on demo.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Police Raid Home of Alleged "Bitcoin Creator" Craig Wright - ALL FACTS on: December 10, 2015, 01:05:36 AM
I don't expect any words from Wright for the rest of the week at least.. im sure he will remain silent, but he will eventually have to give some kind of explanation as to what is going on including the PGP mismatches.
