Why not join tradingview.com? There are alot of crypto traders on there. It's an information platform. People share alot. Better than just linking to one person where the quality could be quite dubious. BTW I have nothing to do with them except I do hold a private account there.

We looked at MT5 integration and decided it wasn't really appropriate for a crypto business. I do know it is a very powerful platform with alot of documentation and helpful information, but there aren't many in the crypto-space that offer it and I think i know why.

There are some exchanges (I think Huobi) that allow you to segment your funds. So you could limit the access you give to a particular trader if you wanted to go down that route.

Did you read that piece by Michael Castillo yesterday about Fidelity creating an institutional investor crypto business? You could be right... you could be right.

You cannot take as a given that any exchange is immune from issues. Look at what happened to Bitfinex in the summer of 2017. They're probably one of the more reliable players and their security was not great.

Counterparty risk in the crypto-space is such an issue because even the really big reliable exchanges like Kraken run on a mickey mouse database backend with no middle tier. Don't believe me? Look at the behaviour of the exchange anytime there's high volume. Fucking falls over on its ass.

This 5 minute video discusses a good solid way to measure and manage exchange counter party risk. Especially if you trade at size.

The biggest problem with day trading. And this is related to day trading and not the market you are looking at. Could be Forex, Stocks, crypto, whatever is slippage. When you are looking to scalp profit out of small intra-day moves, if you still have to pay commissions (or a spread on those dopey exchanges that rip you off because they charge a spread based on their whim and not a fixed commission) You are net in deficit at the start of any trade. If the trade costs you 0.02 and you are looking for moves with an average profit of 0.01 and you are bound to make some losses, you are going to have a hard time making any headway.

Market manipulation is absolutely endemic and not limited to crypto. Have a look at the bank run dark pools in the conventional stock markets which takes billions in value out of markets while providing no perceptable benefit. (And I DO NOT buy the liquidity argument) Big picture, I think there is less manipulation in crypto than conventional markets because the professionals are not bothering with it because the markets are too small, beneathe their notice.

Love the idea. Very rich subject. Both wide and deep. And there's alot of talent here. Also have a look at tradingview.com You can join for free. People actively share information there and you might pick up some people interested in participating.

I saw notice of this and I was really bummed because my company is doing a relaunch the week after. Too much work! But they've got others coming up in Australia I believe.
