241  Economy / Economics / Re: Surveillance Capitalism, Facebook coin, KYC, crypto on: May 28, 2019, 08:16:31 AM
Tin foil hats on, people, I'm going in...

Big news recently has been Facebook's announcement that it will be launching its own cryptocurrency, 'GlobalCoin'. I think this has implications for the direction of travel of crypto as a whole.

Facebook, along with other major internet companies such as Google, offers its services 'for free'. Obviously 'free' is not really free, as these companies harvest all of the personal data that you provide and use increasingly sophisticated behavioural analytics programs to predict your future behaviour, and sell this on for big profit.

So the Facebook coin - they can harvest data on your personality, age, gender, politics and preferences, but the ultimate aim is to acquire everything, all data, including the most valuable one, which is what you buy and when (and under what circumstances) you buy it. This is surely the real purpose of Facebook's move into crypto. All of your purchase activity with this Facebook coin will be tracked and incorporated into the 'digital you' that Facebook sell on.

Is the rest of crypto heading the same way? I know there are privacy coins, but the overall trend is towards KYC - including on exchanges, and this will doubtless increase as mainstream adoption draws closer and governments become more hands-on in devising legislation. And then couple this with the privacy trade-offs that we are likely to concede in order to make use of the convenience of IoT and connected devices.

Are we heading inevitably into a future where crypto is used as a means for big companies to harvest your data for profit?
That is really a good question. But until now, I still cannot understand how our personal information can help businesses. Or do they just want to collect our information to check how many people are involved in the crypto market? If someone knows their purpose, answer my question. thanks.
Facebook issues participate in the crypto market to possess personal information, I think they will not need to do so to get our nonsensical information.
They participate in the crypto market just to get more partners to expand and develop their payment services.
242  Economy / Economics / Re: Regulation of Cryptocurrency Around the World on: May 28, 2019, 07:58:06 AM
wow, it seems that people in Middle Eastern countries participate in the crypto market quite a lot. This is really a great opportunity for countries in Asia and the Middle East to revive the country's GDP and may have good opportunities to cooperate with many other developed countries in the world.
I like this and this is also the first major turning point for blockchain technology in particular and cryptocurrency in general.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best airdrop you have ever get... on: May 27, 2019, 04:46:30 AM
I really didn't participate much in the airdrop program. But I do know a pretty much-programmed participant is Blockchain. For every KYC you enter, you'll get $ 25 and that's the biggest bonus ever. but after that project, I still couldn't find good airdrops and often tokens would not be listed on exchanges. I think we should only serve ICO projects in bounty.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe Bounty hunters on: May 27, 2019, 04:33:24 AM
I hope Bitcointalk will start caring about its people ,there should be new moderators that can fish out bad projects on here to avoid wasting time of bounty hunters ,and about KYC ive come to think of it as many bounty hunters don't like KYC I'm sure if Bitcointalk is the one asking for KYC so as to limit frauds and multiple accounts bounty hunters won't complain, we will follow the rules ,but first 'SAFE US FROM BAD SCAMMY PROJECTS' ,no matter how wise we investigate a project they end up been scam ,scammers are getting wiser as well.looook at desico for example Shocked Can anyone tell me if he/she knew Desico is a scam from day one? I guess not
I think the bitcointalk management team has no rights and no responsibility for bounty hunters being cheated. they can only manage topics and give notice that there are quite a few reporters.
Our work now has a good salary and so we have more risks. We need to be more sophisticated when testing projects and also need some luck!
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Exit Scam on: May 26, 2019, 04:58:00 AM
We really should not invest or support ICO projects anymore. because all the information on the Whitepaper or Roadmap or team can be faked and no one can attest to it. IEO projects will now be safer and better when it is being trending. Don't try to play with fire anymore, buddy. Wink
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: (VST) Vostok Speculation on: May 26, 2019, 04:45:45 AM
Vostok token airdrop will take place in few days, So what is your speculation about VST price.
I think this is a really potential project and it is also a major factor in reducing the price of WAVES. It is bad but I think WAVES's sacrifice will be worth it and VST's price will be approximately $ 2 or maybe $ 3 in the future.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH next move on: May 26, 2019, 04:24:41 AM
If you interesting to trade
According to technical analysis, the ETH will up to the resistance around 245(may fail to reach to 245), then down to around 215, check the chart for more details.
https://screenshot.net/mq490i4

it just falls at a price of $ 235 as a minimum and now it has risen back to $ 250. Although your analysis is correct and it completely convinces me, in the crypto market, anything can happen. Suddenly the volume may increase sharply and the price of altcoins may be higher than expected.
Anyway, thank you for your dedication to the strategy. Wink

249  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's time for us to return to being great traders ...! on: May 23, 2019, 05:52:02 AM
Bitcoin has started to raise prices again, we can see that market prices have started to move, As traders we cannot be tired and hopeless, we must continue to struggle to get up and be optimistic to become great traders, I think traders will not always suffer losses as long can be patient and keep trying to achieve the benefits we want, so let's start trading again so that we can recover the losses we have suffered.
But the current price of BTC is really hard to predict. You can see, in one day, the price of BTC can range from 500 - 700 $. it is a very high level of risk and is not easy to profit.
I think we should wait for the market to stabilize and set the price to buy BTC at $ 7000. That is a low price and quite reasonable when the resistance is broken.
250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Novice trader analysis advice on: May 23, 2019, 05:41:31 AM
Hi

I have recently purchased £200 of bitcoin and want to understand how to read and analysis charts. What would be the most appropriate type of analysis for a newbie?

I am also looking to invest a further £50 in ethereum or should I stick to bitcoin ?

Thanks in advance for you advice  Smiley
I think you will not understand what the members explain here. Better yet, you should buy yourself a course on technical analysis. Or at a lower cost, you need to buy a lot of books about stock investment and they will tell you some basic things so you can analyze and make a profit.
Small amounts will not be enough for you to be rich, but investing in yourself will help you be rich in the future.
251  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good trading strategy for newcommer? on: May 23, 2019, 05:29:43 AM
Dear crypto cummunity,

I'd like to ask you to point me in a somewhat right direction.

I've been learning and researching everything about crypto space and the deeper I go - the more there is to learn.
It's becoming harder to use my time efficiently and productively, to filter out quality information from spam and get-rich-fast schemes.

I believe I've come to a point where I would like to start practising some medium-term/swing trading. My hope is that some of you, experienced traders, have some references to some trading strategies. Should I do DCA and hodl 50% and trade the rest? At what percentages is it wise to take profits? 30/50/65%? I only trade the money that won't make me go bankrupt, but I'd love to become good at reward/loss management and start somewhere.

Do you know any sources/calculators for doing statistics on profit/loss? For planning the budget? I would really really appreciate some newbie-friendly reading materials/guides or even excel sheet with pre-made formulas haha

Highly appreciate your input! Hope to return some of the good carma back to the cummunity when I become good at this Smiley
DCA is an effective buying strategy and you should apply it when purchasing power begins to weaken. You will be able to buy with good prices.
But I have an advice that you should choose exchange with stoploss function. It is really necessary for us because we cannot control the portfolio well as the amplitude of altcoin fluctuates.
252  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is heading back to $6k on: May 22, 2019, 02:17:39 PM
Bitcoin will not return at $ 6000 anymore. I can assure you. Our crypto market is being trusted and invested by many investors from many countries.
The inflation rate is getting higher and that is similar to the more people want to buy more BTC. Its price will soon reach $ 10,000 in Q4.
253  Economy / Economics / Re: The Fed Never Calls The Bubble A Bubble... Why Not? on: May 22, 2019, 02:11:22 PM
The Fed is the US central bank and they have a lot of bank branches in countries around the world. rather, they are actually holding the entire financial situation of the world. they know when the economy will collapse but they cannot report.
they can only set up contingency plans when the economy goes down, Americans can still get jobs and reduce the number of unemployed people.
254  Economy / Economics / Re: Your Source of Investment Money? on: May 22, 2019, 01:59:01 PM
The source of money to invest in my altcoins is from the bitcointalk forum. I have participated in and worked on some ICO projects since 2018 and now I can have money to pay tuition. Currently I have over $ 2,000 to invest in some altcoins and Litecoin will be my next goal. It's pretty awesome, anyone with the same opinion as me?

256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty that paid you some good reward on: April 22, 2019, 06:21:47 PM
hey all... it's exactly one year now when market started downward movement due to which many bounty/ico companies were not able to list their token to any exchange. Some even did not bothered to send bounty reward token to bounty participants. I have more then 40 tokens that are not listed to any exchange. This situation forced many participants to stop working on bounty campaigns and find some other way to earn from crypto. What was the last bounty that paid you token and that tokens were listed on good exachange and you were able to earn 1-2 ETH / 0.1 to 0.2 BTC or any small amount.

I joined many ICOs. So far, there are a number of ICOs that have paid me money like WWP campaign. But many other ICOs have stopped working and I don't get anything from them. But the market is showing signs of recovery and I believe there are still many good ICOs in the market.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What people do to make their altcoins popular? on: April 22, 2019, 06:07:23 PM
It's clear that every developer and team behind project want to make their own coin more and more popular but what they do for it? Lately as I see everyone tries to create dice website specially for their own coin.
What do you think, is this good strategy? Why don't they try to make shopping website which only supports their coin? Or something similar of ebates? Why only dice when there is huge demand on shops too.
I think that in part they don't have enough money to do such things. That is the only way they can do to advertise their ICO. In fact, there are very few good ICOs. So it's hard to see the difference between good icos and scam icos. That makes investors and bounty hunters headaches
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Greed is bringing loss for traders on: April 22, 2019, 05:53:30 PM
Naturally, traders come to crypto currency with a loyal and considerate mindset
Which is to make profits from 1% - 50%

I.e a trader of 100$ investments wishes to get 150$ (50$ profit). But when the bull spikes comes in; instead of cashing out their profit, Begins to imagine building mansions and suddenly wants to hodl to 3000$

When they wake up the next day and are left with 25$; they say altcoin is shit, that is shit

What can be done to ease greed amongst investors ??
Good investors are very patient. They know what will happen and the real potential of the crypto market. That is the difference for bad investors. I don't mean to decry but to succeed, we have to be really patient and learn more about the benefits that crypto offers. Don't just care about the price
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What sites do you use to make your investment decisions? on: April 22, 2019, 05:42:19 PM
What site do you use to get the best information to make your investment decisions into ICOs?

Your information is going to help us a lot in order make our ICO project 1000% successful. You can find more info about it here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4732575.380

If you are an ICO listing page, let me know about it!
There are many websites for you to find ICOs. But before you invest, go to telegram or the ICOs web site to learn more about it. Especially the development team and potential of those ICOs. A lot of icos scam at the present time. So consider carefully before you make your decision
