243  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can bitcoin be used in shops, if payments take so long to process? on: June 14, 2015, 05:48:46 PM
I suppose they would have to order in advance and collect their product once the transaction processes. Would work better if the shop had a website or online presence of some kind
244  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Lawnmower.io - Convert your Spare Change into Bitcoin - iOS & Android App! on: June 14, 2015, 05:44:15 PM
This is a very innovative idea. I am an Android user though but would definitely be interested in using this service. Does it work for any currency? If not then I would like to suggest that you intergrate it with all major currencies. I'm from the UK so use GBP. Obviously Euro and USD too.

Sorry if this matter has already been covered. I will read up more on it when my Android tablet is charged up, I probably wont be using it until tomorrow now as it is late at night.

I will be back tomorrow at some point to give you my feedback.

Good luck with this unique and very useful project. We need something like this. I would use this for sure when I do happen to ave a few extra pennies.

Right now we're constrained to supporting only major US banks and $ (about 8 right now) due to our 3rd party API provider, Plaid (plaid.com) who we use for the transaction data stream to track your spare change. We're working on expanding out to support as many banks as we can in the near future (including international banks, small credit unions, etc.), and Coinbase already supports many countries around the world, so Lawnmower should be able to support multiple new countries and currencies soon! Smiley

We do also have an Android app if you didn't catch the link - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.lawnmower.mobile

That's great to hear! I support this idea, it definitely has potential and look forward to seeing it expand to other countries.

Doctor tried to put me on Mirtazapine, Fluoxetine and paroxetine but all they did was send me on a manic episode.

I don't have depression so I don't know why they wanted to give me anti-depressants. I get bad anxiety but the doc's dont know what to diagnose me with, maybe bipolar. No idea cos I do get ups and downs, like really extreme ones.

I dunno. Do the meds work for you? If you feel better taking them then go for it. If they don't work then stop, but always tell your doctor.
Some medications you haveto weaned off so you don't experience withdrawal symptoms

Money is filthy, think how many hands it has passed through. It only smells good because it is associated with wealth.

I searched the Google Play store on my Android but could not find the app. Although I did bookmark the website.

Where would I be able to get hold of the android version of the app?

Maybe I just didn't search  for correct term. I just typed in "lawnmower.io" and nothing really came up (not an app anyway)

I go cycling every day, well most days. I also hula hoop (you know like what you did on school playground). I've learnt quite a few tricks on the hula hoop too. Really great for working the abs out. My belly has never been so flat in my life.

I also eat a gluten free diet which keeps me from getting bloated. I try and keep my sugar intake to a minimum and eat plenty of fruit and veg. Want to try the paleo diet but I cant imagine havving to avoid all dairy, white potatoes and above all else PEANUT BUTTER. I could not live without peanut butter, even if you paid me 100 bitcoins to do so!  Tongue
256  Other / Off-topic / Re: Giving advice to anyone who ask on: June 13, 2015, 11:26:25 PM
I've battled a mostly undiagnosed mental illness my whole life.
When I was about 14 I was showing alot of the negative symptoms of schizophrenia but never actually heard voices, more like delusional disorder. I've also been told by doctors that I may be bipolar.
More recently I've started wondering if maybe I just have ADHD or aspergers, I was always a bit difficult when I was a kid. I dont know, my brain is a complicated place. Well the human brain overall is confusing. All different chemicals flying round in there, synapses  etc. Sometimes it's just a chemical imbalance like a lack of serotonin or too much dopamine that can cause mental illness.

To anyone who is going through mental illness in anyway, don't be afraid to talk to someone about it as it can make you feel a whole lot better, a problem shared is a problem halved.  Sometimes having a diagnosis can help you to understand yourself better but if you do get a diagnosis don't let it rule your life, learn to live with whatever condition you have, try to embrace it, that's what makes you unique.

Love yourself for who you are and don't let anyone try and change you.

260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: June 13, 2015, 10:23:22 PM
Spoken to a few friends about Bitcoin. I wouldn't say I "recommended" it to them so to speak, but the subject came up in conversation.

Two of  the people I spoke to about Bitcoin had already heard about it and knew more about it already, they were also aware of the other altcoins, for example he mentioned one called "Max Coin" which I'd never heard of to be totally honest. It was actually my friend that bought up the subject of bitcoin to start with. Needless to say we've had a few deep conversations since then.
