The block size is fine, its going to stake very quick once it has coinage(this stays 0 until after 8.08 days) Use coin control to see if your block has coinage, not the "minting" tab.
In other news:Thanks to the Slack channel i found out our block explorers were down. I have rebuilt the one at explorer.808bass.space its going to take awhile to load all the blocks. 70+ connections to that node supporting the explorer

So I've got my coins in the wallet and they have finally reached 8 days old. But the probability of staking within the next 24 hours is at 0%. Can someone explain this staking probability, and how long should I expect for a block of 1million coins to stake?
Once they have coinage 1 million should stake within hours at most. Check coin control to see if you have coinage yet. |

Sale price keeps dropping on cryptopia. People are dumping too cheap! If they keep lowering the asking price its gonna crash this coin. No one wants a coin that constantly drops in value. The value has to go up or atleast stay level.

That somebody may be you. *DISCLAIMER *The price was under 10 sats for quite sometime, 808 didn't die off because of that either, in fact i bet those people that bought in at that low price are happy right now. Let somebody put millions for sale now at that price and see how long they last.. many of us would be happy to buy them at the right price. The good thing about 808 is that if you are patient and follow some basic guidelines others have mentioned you will have a great chance at profitability, and the price moving around won't mean as much long term. I have a question about block size. If I have 3 million coins. Would it be better to leave them all in 1 block or split it into 3 blocks of 1 million each, or should i do 100k size blocks? Which would get quicker stakes?
Leave them in 1 block, because after they mature after 8.08 days, the block will compete with other block, so it is better to leave them into 1 big block. i also thought that way, but then vella told me that if we put all our coin in 1 block we are at risk of getting a stake that is "generate but dont accepted" and than we will have to wait another 8 days to get a reward. so as long as you have lots of coins on every block i dont think it really matter if you split it to 2-3 blocks and it minimizing the risk of not being accepted. Yeah, but I think if the stake is "generated but don't accepted", we don't need to wait another 8 days again, it will try to stake but not reset the day. Maybe someone has the idea? Correct, an "orphan" or unaccepted stake will attempt to stake again. No reset of the coinage from orphans. |

The funny thing is that I did own a lot of the coin this member is talking about but sold them all for 808 coin, that's when I first joined 808 coin thanks to freebitcoins4u letting me know about this coin. And now when I look back on my decision I'm glad I did it as I have already made more with 808 coin then this other coin as the price for this other coin is low 1 to 2 sats and not much volume. 808 coin is much better in my opinion. They not meaning to spam or upset anyone they merely discussing a similar coin in comparison. What's wrong with that ? Inflation coin is similar to this. Friends, explain, please the beginner - how to combine coins into 1 block? Thank you very much in advance  Its easy and I'll explain it here for you. Click on the settings tab in your wallet and then options, a box will pop up with some options now click on Display. You will see 2 options and the box you want to check is "Display coin control features (experts only)" once done click apply then okay. Now once you have done that and closed the pop up window click on "Send coins" tab in your wallet and you should see the Coin control features Click the "Inputs" tab and a window will pop up then you will see Tree mode and List mode. Select list mode and there you will have all your coins and now if you want to combine them all into 1 block you just check all the boxes and then click ok. Once done you'll see Amount fee etc... copy the amount and paste it into the amount box under Label then put in your 808 coin address and click send don't forget about the fee though and you should then have all your coins combined in 1 block. Second this. I recently got in and have been disappointed to see it dumping We threw the roadmap away and fired the dev. Get ready for more dumping it happens. Buy low and sell high or at least sell stakes. High pos coins usually have wide swings in price. If the price goes down enough its a great opportunity to load up. Anyone notice how there has almost never even been over 20 million 808 for sale on cryptopia? |

This coin could soar in value, but people have to stop dumping their stakes for so cheap, otherwise this coin will crash. We can control the price by not selling out cheap.
Dumping is fine, it lets new people in cheap and increases distribution. You can control the price by promoting and growing 808, or buying more. There is not much for sale on the market. Volume is king, let the dumpers dump and the pumpers will pump when they have enough. Even after 1+ years, 808 is very scarce in comparison to other stake coins. 808 will keep dropping the bass for the long term.  |

Larger is better, they should stake quicker. Take advantage of compounding. |

You only need to open the wallet after the blocks have aged 8.08+ days. you can enable advanced coin control and check your blocks using send, inputs, listmode. |

Is this coin still Staking? Does the difficulty level affect the 808% or is it constant percent return?
Yes still staking, no diff level does not effect the 808% rate, yes constant return. Use larger blocks to take advantage of compounding, smaller blocks can take longer to payout. |

Hey, I think i messed up my wallet trying to add more nodes to the 808.conf file.
when I start the wallet I get this message:
A fatal error occured. 808 can no longer continue safely and will quit.
EXCEPTION: 11DbException
Db::open: Invalid argument
808 in Runaway exception
Any ideas on what to do?
back up your wallet.dat latest version of 808 does not need more nodes added to the .conf. 808 now has nodes built into the code, one is a dedicated node on aws. However you can still add more nodes if you like. Dl latest 808 let it sync then import your wallet.dat |
