242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in ICX (ICON) on: April 22, 2018, 09:24:49 AM
ICON is significantly undervalued at its current level, in part due to there being some delays in the project’s development progress.

The main net token swap and the mobile wallet were scheduled to be completed in Q1 2018 but neither are finished yet. The token swap is basically ready now and is just pending exchange integration. Development of the mobile wallet is far less important in my view so no need to be concerned with the delay in its deployment.

I believe the coming couple of months will be very exciting for ICON because there will be lots of development milestones for the platform.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple will overtake Bitcoin in the near future on: April 22, 2018, 09:09:10 AM
A latest report by a group of crypto aficionados by Finder.com predicted Ripple will be second in the list of cryptocurrencies at the end of 2018, overtaking Ethrueum. It also expected that Ripple will worth $5 by December 31, 2018. The cryptocurrency is one of the few that are constantly finding novel ways to develop real-world use cases. Banks, several payment providers, and a host of digital asset exchanges are using xCurrent, xRapid, and xVia. All these products help them to process and provide liquidity for various payments facilitated by Ripplenet. These initiatives create new and competitive ways of sending payments across borders.

Presently, it is too early to say Ripple (XRP) currency will overtake Bitcoin (BTC), but things are looking good on the whole for its bright prospects.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple trading at $0.80 with over $1B trading volume on: April 20, 2018, 10:02:15 AM
Ripple Price has been on a path to recovery over the past week – and one of the biggest benefactors of this uptrend that the markets have been going through. Ripple has shown a day-on-day growth and has risen quite significantly over the week. It will cross $1 in no time.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about TRON/TRX on: April 20, 2018, 09:45:52 AM
The coin market has observed a hike in the TRON value recently. At the moment the coin is enjoying the 14th position, and it looks like they are just getting better, and might just enter the top 5 coins list soon.

With the Testnet that was launched on March 31st, the project seems to be doing pretty well in the market. Ironically, when it was started, Justin Sun, the project lead was quite confident about the success of this project.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Wanchain a sound investment or over hyped? on: April 19, 2018, 02:22:51 PM
Wanchain is a very ambitious and potentially disruptive project, aiming to become a super financial market of the world. The project has some of the brightest minds in the business working behind it. Wanchain is solving a real world problem and has an immensely vital use case. I have complete confidence that Wanchain could easily be one of the top 15 cryptocurrencies by market cap by the end of 2018, and it would continue to grow even beyond that. Therefore, I believe holding Wancoins would be a great long-term investment.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell or hold your XVG (Verge)? on: April 19, 2018, 02:03:19 PM
The market reacted to the verge news before it already hit. Also most "news" or big announcements have hurt crypto since its birth. It's not recovering any time soon so yes I'd sell and move into more stable coins.

249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying NEO on: April 18, 2018, 01:56:21 PM
I see NEO as a very good investment because of the location. China is the largest market and they will be more apt to support NEO than ETH. NEO is still pretty low if you were to consider its value to ETH. I am really bullish on NEO and think it is the first true and ready competitor to ETH; besides of course BTC.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOS Token (IOST) Ready to boom the market on: April 17, 2018, 02:57:43 PM
Currently, IOSToken rests at 49th rank on CoinMarketCap with a market capitalization of $260 Million while $42 Million worth of IOST has exchanged hands within the past 24 hours. Among other ERC-20 tokens, IOST has carved its own different path and is set to focus on future stability and sustainability of blockchain technology. It’s not certain if IOS will take its own powers back from the institutions of repute also there is no certainty regarding the launch of DApp will be completed. No one is certain if the ordinary investors will get on-board with IOST, but one thing is definite that this cryptocurrency is going to move the market by the end of this year despite the volatile nature of the present crypto market.

253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price recovering slowly on: April 14, 2018, 07:10:45 AM
Trading volumes for ETH in the past month have been low, but consistent. There have been temporary spikes, and there is no certainty the recovery would continue. But ETH is yet another altcoin booming suddenly from what was seen as a bear market poised to continue for months.

The only short-term risk for ETH is the relatively uncertain recovery, as prices are still quite far from challenging and overtaking their peak, and the return of the bull market is still not officially announced.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which country is heaven for crypto traders and Exchangers? on: April 14, 2018, 06:57:47 AM
Singapore is the land of haven like savings for major investors in the stock market, and now the cryptocurrency market.

As of now, Singapore does not consider Bitcoin as a commodity nor a currency. Therefore if you are hoping to save the unnecessary taxes in Singapore it is best to consider Bitcoin purchases as investments as investments are tax exempted.

Individuals such, Vitalik the founder of Ethereum has even moved to Singapore thanks to this reason.

I would personally choose Singapore as the place to stay in, for its amazing lifestyle which can be enjoyed by the tax savings from cryptocurrency gains.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase just added ERC-20 tokens support on: April 14, 2018, 06:41:50 AM
Coinbase has historically taken months to add ERC-20 support because of its scale, and the high security risk that comes with running a crypto-exchange.

"We're holding billions of dollars in customer digital currency. Any change we make to that core business structure has to be thoroughly tested both from the implementation, to make sure it's working, standpoint, but also some serious security considerations," Romero said at the time.

But when it comes to ERC20, Coinbase has another consideration: the Feds. The Securities and Exchange Commission is still figuring out whether or not tokens are considered securities and how it intends to regulate such coins. Some states are also starting to clamp down on ICOs.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 years and no country has approved Bitcoin ?? on: April 13, 2018, 06:03:16 AM
Many countries are still afraid to legalize bitcoin and I think the main reason behind is that bitcoin transactions are encrypted and while they can be tracked by involved parties, bitcoin provides a way to keep money and transactions away from the prying eye of the regulators.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Telegram the new measure of ICO success? on: April 13, 2018, 04:48:45 AM
Telegram has long been the playground of crypto traders and enthusiasts. The great migration began sometime last summer, after ICO teams tired of running Slack channels that were filled with spam and spoofing. As a side effect of The Grammening, Telegram channel numbers became a useful metric for gauging a project’s support. Twitter followers can be bought, and not many in crypto uses Facebook, creating the perfect storm for Telegram to rise to the top.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Neo future? on: April 13, 2018, 04:45:05 AM
NEO’s consensus mechanism operates faster when the system is centralized. It uses a consensus mechanism called the Delegated Byzantine Fault Tolerance, in which nodes that can verify blocks are designated by the network, in this case the NEO council. Da Hongfei already announced that the number of nodes will expand over time, making the network more decentralized.

Recently the NEO blockchain was brought to a halt for two hours without an increase in the number of transactions. One of the limited number of NEO nodes didn’t respond, causing the blockchain to stop. It’s important to note that the NEO team has responded to these issues, with Da Hongfei officially clarifying the recent bugs in their blockchain. NEO’s lead developer, Erik Zhang, tweeted that they are aware of the problem with their nodes and almost have a solution in place.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to analyze an ICO? on: April 11, 2018, 04:53:49 AM
Analyzing and evaluating an ICO can be difficult, but with some time and effort, you should be able to get a grasp for what the project is aiming to do, the problem it currently solves, and the future growth it could achieve. There are many different factors in how you should evaluate an ICO. Reading through the Whitepaper should always be the priority. The White Paper is the ICO’s reason for existence. They should lay their entire business model out, including what’s been done, who is working on the project, how they plan to implement the project, what will be done in the future, how the ICO is structured, and what the money will be used for that is raised. If you read through a white paper, and find it to be interesting…remember to ask yourself the question.

Does this project/idea/service need to be done on the blockchain, and does it need a new cryptocurrency for it work?

Is the answer yes?

Great! You’ve found an ICO that looks promising, now it’s time to join their community. One of the steps many investors fail to take is they don’t ask questions. Before investing in an ICO try to join a slack or telegram channel and communicate with people on the team. Is the team approachable? Do they answer questions in a timely manner? Are they taking feedback and giving updates on progress? ICOs that can’t communicate well with their community, and are not very transparent in their dealings should raise a red flag to any potential investor. Many of these companies are in the early stages of development. If they can’t communicate with the earliest of people interested in their idea…it likely will not get better if their community grows even larger.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Banks fear cryptocurrency on: April 11, 2018, 04:45:00 AM
Most of the bankers are oblivious about Bitcoin and how as they put it the whole Bitcoin economy works. Scanty knowledge is prevalent amongst bankers. Very few really understand how the Blockchain works and what it means for bankers.
