The consequence of this is if you had QTL on Bittrex to activate your Quatloo Trader, the Trader will not open. Opening a Poloniex account will be necessary to continue to use the software. Nevermind... Apparently Bittrex has reneged the imminent delisting of Quatloo.

Please respond at mtgocksclayton@aol.comBut you must hurry, I am moonlighting as the Minister of Finance for Nigeria, and the rebels are closing in on the capital, I must find a generous person to help me secure the treasury's balance outside of the country! Nice. 2017 and the Nigerian scams continue! There are still those that continue to get suckered in.

this is not the portability, this "crutch" for portability. at the real portability is not necessary to create shortcuts. you just need to copy the folder with wallet and carry it wherever you go and wallet will work with this folder also.
Portable version - this is when all the data (and wallet) are stored next to the exe file in the same folder, but not in Roaming. More a portable program does not prescribe anything in registry, and saves settings and other in the settings file ...
Or is it impossible?
The issue with a portable version as you described with the blockchain, wallet, and exe in the same directory, on a Windows machine would require elevated access. This could open the wallet to many vulnerabilities. The newer Windows do not allow user accounts to modify files in the Program Files directories. The idea of having your wallet exe and data on a usb stick to take with you sounds like a convenient way... however, it is a very insecure way. If you want portable USB, there are hardware wallets that are designed exactly for this type of portability, These are for Bitcoin, but it will give you the idea of what security is needed to carry a wallet on a USB. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Hardware_wallet

Looks like blockchain stuck again on block 703,353. You might want to get the chain up and running properly without the hard fork before you try to alter the mining rewards, at this point you have pretty much lost any interest in this coin.
Blockchain is still rolling along.... See Block Explorer here: http://xmine.midnightminer.net/I will check logs on my mining pool. PM me your XMINE address so I know which is yours.

you may have stated that when asked, etc.
but that was not stated in the specification
also, when the cap is reached, the blockchain does not need to stop - it can continue as long as there are nodes working, and those nodes can be incentivized via
(a) transaction fees or forging fees (b) part of the fees from the trading/barter network can be donated to a pool from which mining rewards are paid
The irony is if the "value is in the network" then the network activity should be able to support this coin via fees; the purpose of a coin is not to be mined but to be used - mining is never to be an end in and of itself, but rather as a means to support use. If coin is not generating fees from USE then it should not be mined and should die. If community truly was strong it would donate nodes to keep network alive after cap is reach (I know I would) It would be better to simply come up with another coin rather than change the specification w.r.t. maximum cap
simply changing the cap because a maximum amount reached is, to put it kindly, really very sloppy and ill-advised, and removes the meaning of a cap in the first place
I can no longer support this coin - I am selling out my stash
but I wish you the best
Current PoW reward is 0.78125 Bata per block. So the money supply will not be reached anytime soon. Since the halving of the reward happens every 100 000 blocks the money supply will be reached somewhere after block 1.8M when the PoW reward is 0.00009536. It has taken 20 months to reach block ~550K, therefore block 1.8M is approx. 3-4 years away before we reach coin supply. The type of PoS proposed for Bata will add a maximum of 225000 Bata per year assuming all wallets are staking (not likely to be achieved). So adding to the total coin supply would allow the coin to introduce a higher minimum block reward for PoW AND/OR a modest PoS reward to keep stability in the network. Relying on pure PoW mining when the coin supply is reached has not been very successful for other coins that have reached their coin supply. We will see how the PoW participation scales as the PoW rewards continue to decrease. If the value of Bata continues to rise, then yes, PoW mining will continue to support the network. But if PoW mining participation drops enough to only a couple of pools, then the stability of the blockchain will become an issue. At that point, extending the coin supply to increase the PoW mining reward or implementing PoS will be needed to maintain the network stability. Nothing is iminent at the moment, but there is planning going on to prepare for the possible scenarios.

hey community! please can u share 2.4.0 wallet for Windows official site is down
Here is a link to the AmsterdamCoin wallet version 2.4.0 http://midnightminer.net/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/amsterdamcoin-qt.zipI may take some time later this weekend and make a landing page for Amsterdam Coin resources if there is any interest. Maybe a copy of the chain would be some help to those looking to run the wallet. Let me know what you think.

OK! Blockchain is moving again. The blockchain will continue, no rollback. and mining rewards will continue at 100 XMINE for now. The next release I will change the halving interval to help reduce the coin supply.
I am working on a release to fix things. If you have an older version of the wallet such as version 1.0.0, that wallet should still work and sync with the blockchain.

How much max total suply this coin?
Block explorer http://space.midnightminer.net/ shows 15746243 coins as the current supply. This is a pos coin so supply will increase. Not sure if there is a limit. Maybe midnight miner can clarify. All the coins info is located at the main website http://spacecoin.infoThe maximum supply set in the source code is 100M, as shown in main.h here: static const unsigned int MAX_BLOCK_SIZE = 1000000; static const unsigned int MAX_BLOCK_SIZE_GEN = MAX_BLOCK_SIZE/2; static const unsigned int MAX_BLOCK_SIGOPS = MAX_BLOCK_SIZE/50; static const unsigned int MAX_ORPHAN_TRANSACTIONS = MAX_BLOCK_SIZE/100; static const unsigned int MAX_INV_SZ = 50000; static const int64_t MIN_TX_FEE = 10000; static const int64_t MIN_RELAY_TX_FEE = MIN_TX_FEE; static const int64_t MAX_MONEY = 100000000 * COIN; <<<<<<============== HERE IS MAX SUPPLY static const int64_t YEARLY_BLOCKCOUNT = 525600; // 60 * 24 * 365
https://github.com/midnight-miner/spacecoin/blob/master/src/main.h#L34At the current mining and staking rate and including the halving of rewards it will take 10 - 20 yrs to reach the max supply. Coins with a long term growth strategy will most like be the coins that will continue to grow in value and adoption. That is the plan anyway...

*** STATUS UPDATE JAN 22, 2017 ***The Seed nodes are synch'ing up with a newer version of the wallet. Once the seed nodes are properly sync'd the new version of the wallet will be released. Changes: - The hard fork was removed from the code and will be re-evaluated later.
- Protocol version jump to eliminate the nodes with the broken Hard Fork.
I would like to see a couple of blocks successfully mined to test the new wallet version. I will keep you posted.

I keep getting mix reviews about it being available in the USA. One saying you cant because of legal issues and to wait or that I can enroll with outside address and another saying the contrary! Please advice Thanks
Are you referring to them marketing program of Coin Space? This project is in no way connected or similar. This is a cryptocurrency project, not a marketing scheme. https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/scam-alert-coinspace/

Not much news... Dev is here, just buried in real life issues. Project is not dead, I have things that i must take care of. I am not hiding or making excuses. I am still around in this project for the long haul.

What are you going to do about all the blocks after 700000 that have been mined? Last I saw it was past 704000 blocks over a week ago when I mined for an hour or so.
I have been considering the options, and since I have to taking too long to respond to my mistake, I believe the longest chain should win. Meaning my planned hard fork failed, but the miners that continued to mine should not loose there mining effort. It is a mining coin after all! So I will work out my issues that didn't work the wallet and adjust the hard fork to happen later on the existing blockchain. This way miners will not lose their rewards and I can reduce the mining rewards at a later block with a better plan. How does this sound?

I am going to chime in here and give my recommendation to the BitSend group.
I am not very active in this group, only because I am stretched very thin already. But when I grow a third arm, ear, and brain... I will be here!
Go BitSend!

why this coin is to the bottom? I don't know if it is the bottom. I hope it is. But this coin is, for the most part, stable in the price. It is not a Pump and Dump coin, there are a couple of people I know of that are monitoring this type of behavior and they do a great job of not letting this coin become a victim of the YObit P&D club. There are a few ideas kicking around for the coin, that will add value and purpose to the coin. People can choose to be spectators (sometimes called 'investors') or you can be active in the development in the coin project.

Hodling DMD, buying more DMD, and hodling DMD some more!
