We at www.betbybitcoin.com are hosting a competition to win a LEDGER HW.1 hardware wallet to one lucky winner. We have been promoting securing your Bitcoins with hardware wallets, and to further promote this we are going to be launching a competition to win one. This competition is open to both Bitcoin and Litecoin users.

The competition is now: OPEN
Competition time: 1 WEEK
Competition close date: January 7, 2017
Hosted by: BetByBitcoin

The LEDGER HW.1 carries out transaction signing within the device, and as such is secure from malware, and once set up can even be used on a compromised machine safely (it must be set up on a secure machine and the backup seed stored safely).
The competition will accept a maximum of 100 entries. Each user can enter more than once, up to a maximum of 5 times. The competition costs 0.001 BTC or 0.22 LTC to enter, the address (which is an escrow address) is:

1PsyPwgcVaYHtQeyfGUpWzz26oicGJiCv5

To enter, simply send 0.001 BTC to this address, and submit your details including TXID in the competition form at this link:

http://betbybitcoin.com/betbybitcoin-competition-to-win-a-ledger-hw1-wallet/

Submit a separate form for each entry if you enter multiple times. The more entries you have, the greater your chance of winning!

Your details will be added to a document and given a random number. The competition will be open for a week, when we choose the winner we will enter the number range Between 1 and X; X being how many entries to the competition there were into the random.org true random number generator.

This will be documented and then the winner will be announced on BetByBitcoin and in the BitCoinTalk thread, and we will also E-Mail the winner. At this point, we will request a signed message from the wallet address they used to send the funds, and ask them to include their delivery address into this message, we will then send the prize, a Ledger HW.1 wallet to the winner! Do not send funds from am exchange wallet, unless you can sign a message from that wallet.

The cost to enter the competition are as follows:

BTC: 0.001 BTC
or

LTC: 0.22

We accept Both Litecoin and Bitcoin. Note that the escrow only applies to Bitcoin payments.

The addresses we will use for the competition are as follows:

Escrow Address for This Competition:  1PsyPwgcVaYHtQeyfGUpWzz26oicGJiCv5 <Only use for this competition>

Our Bitcoin Competition address for future competitions: 34MtKtszFza4RiQgnKfvfs5VAE1L52K5n1

Our Litecoin Competition Address: LS7otwuzcbCaMgQmbJ4iJj4n5UCvSQrDKC

The above two competition addresses are the ONLY ADDRESSES WE WILL EVER ASK YOU TO SEND FUNDS DURING ANY OF OUR COMPETITIONS! Unless we give a signed message from any of these addresses, DO NOT SEND YOUR COINS TO ANY OTHER ADDRESS for any of our competitions, as it could be an imposter and we cannot recover your funds if you do.
We wish you all the best of luck in our competition!

For the latest Cryptocurrency news or for more information, visit betbybitcoin.com. There are no extra costs for shipping or anything else, the entry price is the price of your hardware wallet including shipping if you win!

As this is our first competition we are utilizing the Escrow services of PsychoticBoy on BitcoinTalk for Bitcoin Payments to show our intentions to deliver and build trust among our users for future competitions.

The prize can be converted to Bitcoin equivalent of the Ledger HW.1 price if the winner would prefer.

If you don't win and wish to buy a ledger wallet anyhow, feel free to buy a ledger wallet from the link in my sig, we get commission but you still pay the same price to ledger.

BTC payments are escrowed, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1734887.0 see here for the official link.

247  Economy / Computer hardware / KNC Titan for sale - Offers? on: January 02, 2017, 11:54:31 PM
I am selling my KNC titan and will likely have it available at the end of January at the latest as with BTC latest rise i significantly profited on my HODLed BTC and have decided to stick with Bitcoin.

What sort of price are people willing to offer?

Batch 1, 4 cubes. No dead dies on any cubes (although one die sometimes drops off over 200 MHz. Gentarkins mod installed, undervolted and some dies underclocked. Comes with Y splitters.

A couple of ports are slightly browned and they were this way when i got it, pins cleaned and cubes run perfectly.

Accepting BTC, LTC (preferred) or cash on collection from Nottingham area. Escrow with psychoticboy is fine (contact him to arrange directly)

Let me know your offers and I will consider!
248  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The safest wallet? on: January 02, 2017, 04:06:28 PM
Hardware wallets are more secure than paper wallets as unlike a paper wallet which cannot be imported on a compromised system, HW wallets can. We at betbybitcoin are doing a competition to win one on the cheap:

254  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS US]Innosilicon A4 Dominator - Scrypt coin miners (2 units) on: December 31, 2016, 03:30:52 PM
Incidentally I held off buying the A4 dominator after a spiritual channelling session with one of my guides, dated Dec. 4 2016 (a snippet from the full channeling):

<Are you of the light>

yes

<is my thoughts about cryptocurrency investments good?>

consider yourself limited in knowledge right now... your premonitions are accurate but i consider that
you do not go rushing in right now, physically move.

<are the mining rigs i am thinking of safe>

it will never jeprodize your safety

<what was the 13th of december stuff> <- this was an unrelated issue entirely to Bitcoin or computing at all

that is no longer valid jacob but i consider his advice valid at the time

<are you of the light>

yes

He told me to wait until physically settled, and again until mid January when we are out of mercury retrograde in a diff session. I could not see how I was limited in my investment knowledge, but after reading the Bitmain thing... My guide potentially saved me from being unable to ROI...

This will render the A4 dominator obsolete early in it's lifecycle if it is true...
255  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS US]Innosilicon A4 Dominator - Scrypt coin miners (2 units) on: December 31, 2016, 02:32:01 PM
I had no idea on these, looks like I end my hunt for KNC titan units... I am however sceptical until I hear official word from Bitmain, as it is mercury retrograde I won't go jumping the gun and pre-ordering anything of the sort...

256  Other / MultiBit / Re: Please Help: 2BTC locked because "The password did not unlock the wallet" on: December 29, 2016, 11:05:18 PM
Did you try importing your seed into electrum? I think multibit and electrum use the same type of seed. Good thing you stored the seed safely, do not panic your coins are not lost. Do not share the seed with anyone. Download electrum and try importing your seed in there.

257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Treasure hunt. on: December 27, 2016, 04:55:42 PM
Recovering from a formatted HDD is trivial if you have the skills, all a format does is delete the table of contents and marks the space as available for writing, the actual files in the space marked are not removed until they are written over, it is trivial to recover with the right skills but without them (such as putting the HDD in another computer mounted as read/write) swap data among other things can cause harm.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Treasure hunt. on: December 27, 2016, 01:03:30 PM
If it was merely a simple format, you can retrieve each and every file wiped, the more it is used (written to) the chances go down. Sounds to me like he didn't even blow away the partition table. This is a delicate task and one I wouldn't trust any random user to either. Given from what he describes and the fact he CPU mined coins from those days I am thinking its whole blocks and worth me taking a plane with an enclosure my laptop and software and meeting this guy to do what we have to do IN person. If we do not succeed then I would get a trip out of it and we gave it a damn good go and he knows that it was done next to him so one could not be sly and move coins.

If we succeeded, I asked for a little bounty and we could move coins to an address he controls in person, (that is, a trezor for him, I would educate him why we would use one)
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Treasure hunt. on: December 27, 2016, 12:58:37 PM
If it has been reformatted even without a backup, recovery is more than possible provided the file is not overwritten. I have retrieved items from business document to decades of family pictures through data recovery for clients. Take reformatting as ripping the index from a book and marking the pages free to use.

As I have done data recovery for many I have offered if he is close enough to meet me in person and we attempt it in person using my equipment, you must follow protocols such as mounting it as read only and imaging the drive, working with the image etc for the best chance. Data recovery is a delicate task at best and shouldn't be attempted by just anyone, even the simple act of putting it in a PC can cause windows to write a virtual swap file to it, etc.

If he indeed CPU mined coins from those days, there will be at least one block's worth (50 coins). I wouldn't send the drive willy nilly to anyone especially with the amount of scam attempts I witness, and this is why I want to offer doing it in person, anywhere on this continent, I am a traveller. I would also in the same breath present this user with a TREZOR should we find any sizable amount of coins.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andresen and Ver wrong about bitcoin. on: December 27, 2016, 11:04:22 AM
This block size increase debate has cost me and my client TX fees while we are waiting for a solution. Some other clients we have switched to Litecoin already for lower TX fees. This is a real issue and I think the core developers do have a good solution in my book. Segwit is a good solution in my book.

I use it for daily transactions across world borders AND declare it in my taxes and you know what? no bank TX fees, no PayPal fees, it has revolutionized the way I run my business over the internet with my clients.
