Does your mom think you are dangerous?

If so maybe you should get some distance.
Save a little money and get away for a while.
Do a little travel around the state,
Climb a mountain, row a canoe down a river.
Meet people from other places.
Find the other perspective.

It will clear your worries and make you even wiser.

Let's say you're the sane one here,
What would be the point of it?

If they wanted to disarm the people they could just introduce more legislation without discussion, they do it all the time.
If they wanted more people with guns they would create some form of home invasion.

All this sensation will do is draw up more aggressive opinion on both sides of the fence.
What are these evil geniuses trying to do?

Ok, let's pretend there is some evidence that "James Holmes" is actually a real person.

Instead of magically coming up with $20K for gear, he spent $40K on SR?!?

Pretty good work for a loner with no job. Maybe he was invested in pirate bonds?  Cheesy

Yeah, he probably used magic, or maybe he saved for it, got some from his family, maybe stole it, or received it as a grant from the National Institutes of Health.

But most likely he used magic, like the classic philosophers stone routine.

I'll get stick for saying this, but...

The public aren't idiots, they can understand anything, as long as it's relevant to them.

If a company picks it up and trains its employees how it works, word will spread, people hearing about will ask questions and think,
"Hey, if it works for them, it'll work for me".

In the end, it's not rocket science.

If you watch those "witness testimonies" from "Jennifer Seeger" and "Chris Ramos" and can't tell those are just horribly shitty acting jobs - I don't know what to tell you.

Internet has just left you expecting video evidence for everything.

How did they organise it so that only people involved in the roose showed up?
If some G-men turned up at your place of work offering $$$ to pretend you saw something,
would it work, or would that idiot in the next office ruin it by opening his big yap?

There will be plenty of digging into his past and finding of people that know him,
Just wait another day or two.

You realize that even if you're right, that's not an argument for gun control?

PS. the graph is going to have to wait, it looks like the woman is going into labor.

Dude! Go do that baby thing!
Make sure to name him/her after your favourite automatic Tongue

Cool, thanks,
It sounds like a great app. I'll look out for it in future,
I'm not that good with photoshop or anything so I'll stay out for now.
Best of Luck.

Feels like an election.
I'll refrain from voting,
more from disinterest than protest.
250  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you had time machine, would you go back and kill Hitler or buy bitcoins? on: July 21, 2012, 07:46:27 PM
well with a time machine you can do both lol

or if you can only do one thing, i would go back and steal the time machine  Grin

One-use time machine.
251  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you had time machine, would you go back and kill Hitler or buy bitcoins? on: July 21, 2012, 07:42:38 PM
Seeing as the market cap for bitcoin isn't really all that high in the scheme of things, you'd be able to do a lot better than going back to buy bitcoins. So if you're going for greed, I'm not sure that's the correct pick.

But no one would be upset at you for picking Hitler, so do that. Unless you're going to do this, of course: http://xkcd.com/1063/

Lol, thought of that xkcd too.

Not to veer off from OP but if you killed Adolf Hitler and he never became Hitler, why would you go back to kill him?
Just wondering if there's any way to escape that loop.

Oh man, I feel for you.

Try stopping a gambler when they're winning,
Then you'll know the real reason, the house always wins.

Hi trudi,

A couple questions for you:
Can you share some more info about bitcoin-app.com?
And do the logos have to be high quality to be chosen, or will you redo the ideas after choosing one?

Thanks,
Taz

Bitcoin is fairly recent so there is less rick of irrevocable harm.
Who know's what the world would be like if you added 56 million (Really? 56million?!) to the population 4 generations back.
It could be very crowded, we mightn't have as much industry, another more powerful nation might have taken up the fashist cause and won.

And if that doesn't worry you, one of these 56 million might have killed, married, otherwise detoured one of your fore-bearers and prevented
the amazing You from coming into existence. I for one, wouldn't want to live in that world.
255  Other / Politics & Society / Game - Why don't you trust them? on: July 21, 2012, 02:56:43 PM
Belief in conspiracy theories is out of control.

Game:

1) Debunk the post above yours.

2) Share your theory

Let's start:

1) There is no post above mine, what are they suggesting, that we don't actually exist?!
There's bucket loads of proof against that theory right here.

2) There is no great ivory tower of conspirators. Everyone's out for themselves and they're all just greedy as hell.

Okay "Taz".  Let's do it this way, since you don't seem to have read all of the sources.  Why don't you point out to me which connection you believe to be tenuous, since I'm not sure exactly who you mean when you say "he".  Keep in mind, regardless of which you choose, I have linked a news source that makes the connection.  There is no original research here.

Hey everyone! benjamindees is related to George Bush!
Nah, just saying don't link this guy as the father till you prove it.

Fake story, fake shooter, fake victims.

The Colorado shooting reads just like every other false flag the media has carried out.

I think the have regulations making all furniture legs sharp and pointy in order to slowly cripple the masses.

Really?  Obviously if more info surfaces, I will delete this.  But they have the same name (minus the Jr./Sr.), same workplace, same job title, a resemblance to both the suspect and the photo of the father.  The one thing I left out was this article, which goes into the family history and mentions a "tradition" of attending York Academy, and which matches the probable graduation year on the Linkedin resume:

I agree with you that it seems very likely he's the father, you should make sure before putting this out there.
If just one person picked up this rumour and posted it somewhere else you will have no control over deleting it.
The fact that it's likely gives it all the more chance to spread.
Rumours mutate quickly so by the time it reaches people that know this guy,
it just needs to say, he's in some way related, to stick.

That is something he would never be able to disprove:
prove to me you're not related to George Bush.
I've given you an advantage here by actually telling you to disprove it,
rather than just saying it behind your back like what will happen to this guy.
258  Other / Off-topic / Re: Possible Bitcoin connection to Colorado shooting? on: July 21, 2012, 12:51:16 PM
What link a you making to BTC?
Other than his father maybe knowing about it?

Quote
Looks like the same guy?

Though it's possible this guy is his father,
It's very unfair to involve him until you have established the link.

How about if all registered weapons are required to contain a chip,
which holds a unique code linking it to it's owner,
it can be detected from a distance.

Scanners are available to anyone interested,
but owners database is available only to authorities.

Scanner users can filter out their own weapons and those they know,
Plus it detects weapons where they shouldn't be (ie: banks),
Detected weapons are indexed for later reference.

Authorities can detect when a weapon is nearby (ie: pulled over vehicle),
Find stolen or lost weapons and the owners of misused weapons,
If aware of nearby weapons can quickly detect if they are registered.

It wouldn't solve all problems but might be a start towards a safer world.

Congrats... you've discovered the whole thing is a fraud!

Unfortunately, they don't care, and don't want to hear it, and will shove you into a jail cell without a second thought if you don't just give them what they want, whether it's legal or sensible or not.

And the populace will cheer the tax collectors on.

Welcome to the U.S.!
