241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falling under 300 again on: April 03, 2016, 04:33:35 PM
There is not a chance bitcoin will fall below or even come close to $300 now.
If it does then something is very wrong with the system and needs to be fixed.
There will be a lot of frustrated people who bought some in the past month at $100 more, if this ever happens, which I don't think will this year.

$300 is the history now. We will never see $300 again unless bitcoin become obsolete due to conflict in the community.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoins successor on: March 27, 2016, 07:06:56 AM
We are talking about bitcon successor when it is still in the early stage development. It will be successor to itself.
243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falling under 300 again on: March 10, 2016, 09:31:25 PM
We have said goodbye to $300. We will never see $300. In a illiquid market, we might see $300 again, but very briefly.

zero fee ledgers for microtransactions which neither bitcoin nor Ethereum allow

anonymous transactions which neither bitcoin nor ether allow

I do not like the 0 fee. It will make my hard disk full in no time. Everything has a cost. The fee is too low.
245  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falling under 300 again on: February 22, 2016, 07:26:39 PM
Ok I just oppened a short so I do hope the price will fall. BUt it won't go as far as 300 that's just not possible xD

The price might drop below briefly. I think this time will go up from the below $400 level quickly.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: no matter what will happen to bitcoin.. on: February 22, 2016, 07:24:34 PM
.. i've learnd ALOT!BTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTC

OK great you learned a lot but bitcoin is not just about money, it's much more.
Bitcoin is vision, idea how to change the world, how to help average people to get rid from banks and other financial regulations and achieve financial freedom...
It's way of life also, tool for people to separate from strict and stupid governments regulations and become free...
At least I feel like this way.

So true, I have learned and had my mind opened.  Most important is what you mention, how Bitcoin can bank the unbanked and achieve financial freedom all over the world.  We could all be on a level playing field.

Yeah but you still have to get through a bank to get your money when you exchange it, so...

The day will come that you can use bitcoin to pay everything without using a fiat. It is the money.

Look at the 10 minute block time restriction. Whatever you do with SegWit ( which is brilliant ), or with blocksize changes, you will still be looking at up to 30 minutes for a confirmation. That's a long time for an on-line service these days.

The 10 minutes blocktime is good. Segregated Witness, if this is ever combined with the 2 MB blocksize increase, will greatly improve confirmation times. Even alone it could greatly help us.

i agree 2mb+segwit would be great. but a 16 month rollout period.. not so great

I think the 2MB should come before the SegWit. Not SegWit comes before 2MB. SegWit is more difficult to implement.

Ethereum is bitcoin 2.0
And who says this?
Ethereum investor and bag holder?
This is some really serious statement. Many could be laughing right now, t
his is bitcointalk not ethereum-talk..

If the Ethereum becomes very popular and many applications are built on its platform, then it can become 2.0.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Post-Ethereum Trends on: February 22, 2016, 07:16:42 PM
The Ethereum price will rise further and itself will be developed further. So the wave will not finish soon.
250  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: February 22, 2016, 07:05:47 PM
There will always be a need for some kind of fiat. So no, it won't happen.

Maybe there will be no fiat in the future. All the fiat will be in digital form. The Chinese government is going to issue a digital currency.
251  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think bitcoins will disapear or become unused? on: February 22, 2016, 07:03:45 PM
I think nothing is impossible. Anything can happen in future, there is small chance that bitcoin will be abandoned and disapear in future, but it's just small chance.

I really hope that in the future when technology is developing, many people will adopt bitcoin as their alternative payment option and bitcoin will grow into the most popular alternative payment option, replacing the other services.

If the Bitcoin development continues all the time, it will not disappear. In fact, it will be stronger all the time.
252  Economy / Economics / Re: Europe in Crisis on: February 13, 2016, 12:35:39 PM
The negative interest rate and quantitative easing printed too much money and that caused over investment in Euro land. It will ruin the economy.
253  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: February 12, 2016, 01:01:30 PM
i think that it is impossible but you never know, after a few decades it will be possible
it would be impossible for the near future but it will be possible in the future or a few more decades
when everyone is using bitcoin. it is likely it will happen, but I think it takes a very long time

Yeah it will take a long time for sure, and it is not impossible that bitcoin can never replace dollar, totally depends on the adoption level of the people and the support from Government of respective countries.

Adoption is key to the success of bitcoin. If 100 million people in the world use bitcoin, it will be a very successful currency.
254  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think bitcoins will disapear or become unused? on: February 10, 2016, 02:57:56 PM
I don't think that will happen, bitcoin cover a need and as long as that need exist bitcoin will have some existence, it might be a little different but the same concept.

There is nothing wrong about the bitcoin technology. The only problem I know of the there are some conflict of interest in the Core development team.
255  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Daniel Mross paid 2700 BTC to ButterflyLabs in 2012 for 25 Gh/s on: February 02, 2016, 09:09:41 PM
So very few hardware manufacturers in the Bitcoin ever delivered more wealth to their clients despite making grandiose claims.  BFL was probably the biggest loudmouth of them all.

The only mass production hardware manufacturers are Bitmain, Avalon, KNC and BitFury. Bitmain is the best.
256  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think bitcoins will disapear or become unused? on: January 29, 2016, 05:01:11 PM
I think it will be unused after lets say 10 years from now.
The digital currency's are upcoming and you of course don't know what could happen.
Bitcoin is getting more popular nowadays but the banks are against so its a bit difficult to say.

Bitcoin might not exist in present forms in the future. It will evolve all the time. It will get better and better.
257  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: January 24, 2016, 09:53:00 PM
No chance at all. But I do believe that it will be used in the background, for transfer between Banks and whatnot.

It will be used for various transactions but any time it won't take the place of dollar. Bitcoin will be known to people as a cryptcurrency and will be in lead over the various cryptcurrencies in the market.

In 100 years, bitcoin might replace US dollar or other currencies. But now, it will coexist with them.
258  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think bitcoins will disapear or become unused? on: January 22, 2016, 09:45:45 PM
Maybe in the very distant future Bitcoin may stop getting used. But not anytime soon. Bitcoin is just starting up really.

In the distant future, the bitcoin will become V2.0 or higher. It will evolve all the time. BitcoinQT ->BitconCore->BitcoinClassic->....
259  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think bitcoins will disapear or become unused? on: January 17, 2016, 01:29:32 PM
No way this will happen. I think bitcoin will become more and more important in the future, and with that we will need bitcoins.
So it will become used more instead of becoming scarce.

I think bitcoin will be used more when it becomes more popular. Not many people in the world heard about bitcoin.
260  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think bitcoins will disapear or become unused? on: January 11, 2016, 08:18:41 PM
My concern is the mining, it is getting to centralized, lets see what happens to it after the halving.

Today 80% of hashpower is in about 5 centralized pools. I dont think this year halving will make any difference to this as the today Bitcoin price above 400 USD make it profitable to mine in areas with cheap electricity even after the block reward drops to 12.5 Bitcoins

The halving will make the hashing power more concentrated. Most home mining will be driven out if the price does not increase.
