241  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [400GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: January 23, 2013, 03:05:46 PM

I agree, my problems started with v10 also, and got worse with v11 - which also matches up with the beginning of the bad luck streak. It's just too coincidental me thinks........everything before v10 was grand.......but hey, I'm a noob, and I'm not kidding when I say I still have a lot to learn about this. But just look at that chart - something's wrong.

PatMan,

still so sure something is wrong? Wink

peace.

If you have a rooted android phone you could export the private keys from the phone and import them to your computer.

Once the private keys are on your computer you will be able to send.

247  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [70 GH/s] BTCOxygen.com - Pure PPS | Stratum Support | Low Fee on: January 21, 2013, 09:52:00 PM
purelithium is correct, frequent stratum restarts keep rejects low.  It's a feature, not a bug.

I've got .45% rejects over 3 million shares.  Very good for a proxy.

The off-topic thread crapping and IRC drama butthurt have no bearing on the pool, which works well and pays the best of any stratum PPS option.

I appreciate your feedback.
Thanks.

BTCo2, forget my other suggestions, the only request I have ATM is merged mining.   Cool

Currently NMC price is falling and pools that had merged-mining are planning to disable them in the near future.

Also adding merged-mining support needs lots of time and effort spent into it and i will be planning on adding merged-mining support later if it is worth the time and effort needed.

Yeah the thing about the stratum protocol is that it restarts work a lot quicker than getwork. This helps with not having stale shares, it's not just this pool.

I'll be honest, I was skeptical in the beginning, but I've gotten constant payouts, whenever I had problems with the pool, I reported them and they were promptly fixed. It's a good pool.

Thanks for your feedback.

[2013-01-13 07:16:09] Stratum from pool 0 requested work restart
[2013-01-13 07:16:39] Stratum from pool 0 requested work restart

Is their any reason why I keep getting restart on here never seen so many restarts in my life and keeps on increasing.

As purelithium and iCEBREAKER mentioned the frequent restarts is a feature and not a bug.

And are you using BFGminer? (AFAIK its the only miner that prints it every 30 seconds)

You could use CGminer and you will not see these messages.

Just been reading this thread too man what a mess, might not even continue here after seeing all the comments not a good start to an pool.

The off-topic thread crapping and IRC drama butthurt have no bearing on the pool, which works well and pays the best of any stratum PPS option.

Many miners seem to have left for the holiday season. You should have got a payment by now. I got busy with working on upgrades to the site. Watch for an announcement soon.

Any info on this announcement?

Yes, There will be a announcement very soon.

Thanks for your patience.

251  Other / Archival / Re: Mining pools list on: January 17, 2013, 01:56:09 PM
Why not include merged mining support on the list?

It took me a minute to find out which pools support both stratum and merged mining (only Eclipse and BitMinter AFAIK).

Namecoins currently add about 3% to my daily rewards.   Smiley

NMC is going away though.

The background is white, and so its hard to see whats going on.

I think there should be some color on the background to make it easy for users to read.

Half go to the miners. Half go to Satoshi. This was his plan all along. We all fell for it!

The website and mining server are very slow at the moment. I am seeing a higher reject rate from the pool also, no change in my hardware.

Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I found the error and fixed it.

Things should be back to normal again.

I have three requests:

1) enable 24hr earnings

2) enable auto and/or manual payout

You will be seeing these features soon.

3) define "worker efficiency" or just use standard stale/dupe/other

Worker efficiency = (Total Accepted Shares From Worker / Total Valid shares From Worker)*100

Everything else is fine.  Don't care about GBT, Stratum works great.

Happy NYE!

Thanks for your feedback.

I also have my payout threshold set to 0.01 BTC, but haven't received a payment even though my balance has been over that for weeks. I know that amount is very low and might not be sensible to pay out, but if that's really the case, you should clearly state what the minimum payment threshold is.

Hi,

The minimum payment threshold is 0.1 BTC

After using this pool and firing about 2.8GH/s at it for the past 3 weeks, I've got a few suggestions:

Thanks for your support.

Website: I'm sure as you know, the site feels half-finished. Examples: 24h earnings (coming soon) and the instant payout not functioning. I would like to see some additional personal stats and pool-wide stats added. Personal stats that I would like to see are the planned 24h earnings, lifetime earned, and a payout history. Pool-wide stats that would be nice to see is a (nearly)instantaneous recording of the current pool hashing speed in addition to different graphs showing the pool speed, top 10 lifetime shares, etc.

Added your suggestion to my todo list. (You will be seeing them soon)

Pool itself: Stratum is great, but why stick with the one protocol? I'd like to see GBT implementation as well.

AFAIK, GBT uses more bandwidth than Stratum which will increase the load on my servers.

For payouts: The payout system is flawed. You've mentioned it is run every 6 hours previously in this thread, but in practice I see this is not true. I've seen my payments sent out at approximately 24h intervals, despite the autopayout threshold being broken many times over. I have my threshold set low because I am not confident in the payment system of the pool, so I have it low to pay me my due shares as often as possible, so I'm not left without my true earnings. You need to improve the payout cycle, and tell users how and when it will pay out, and make sure the system actually does what you say it does.

The pool is a good start, but I'd like to see more from it.

I will be fixing all of these delays very soon.

Thanks for your patience.

I think it's time to consider to implement the option of a backup pool in the Bitminter client.
+1
That would be a great addition to the Bitminter client.

Sounds good!

I just wanted to make sure you adjust the fee according to the difficulty, because according to the FAQ post in the beginning of the thread, the PPS price is a fixed amount. It should be somewhere in the region of 0.00000822247... if adjusted to difficulty, not the 0.00000726963... quoted in the FAQ post.

Thanks!

I have been at payout threshold under this same username and it hasn't paid out yet.

Your payment has been paid out.

Is the pool still working?

Yes, currently i am working on adding some new features and will announce on this thread soon.
