241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambler who manages to beat the casino on: January 16, 2021, 07:38:27 AM
What? They are all cheaters!

I will be agreeing with some of the most popular gamblers that construct strategies to some games that are banned right now in most of the casinos. This list just proves that most of the time if we wanted to beat the casino or the house, you need an accomplice, tricks and cheats, or maybe some exploits to machines that the casino is using.
Yeah, cheaters are cheaters and that is not a good thing to be, it is still better to idolize those gamble who became rich with their skills and knowledge in the world of gambling, you can do that without any cheating, just spend your time learning a certain game in gambling that you want to get focused, there are still some game that gives you an advantage if your skills or knowledge about it.
Definitely you will become rich without doing any cheating , in the world of gambling only the owner will become rich and team. The players yes let say they become rich also but some of them only like getting jackpot prize in casinor or maybe they win on the lottery who is very little percentage to happen. But cheating is not the answer to become rich a person have skills or without can have business to gain more money.

But would that be the same reaction of other people?

I know cheating is bad but there are a lot of people that are cheating in order to lift themselves up. We may think that cheating is bad but other people would still use it and continue using it as long as they are earning money. Because at the end of the day, people are still gambling for the sake of earning a lot of money and cheating can give them a huge amount of it.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: January 16, 2021, 05:40:29 AM
If you want to make real money with gambling, then you also have to have an iron discipline. And you always have to deal with a relapse. There are also different concepts about the term professional gambler.
What do you understand by that? If someone gambles profitably once, it is not yet a professional gambler. Arbitrage bettors are pros but sooner or later you will run into problems with a bookie.

That would be really tough.

For those gamblers that already have it, that is amazing, keep that up but most of them are not that discipline, how much more having an "iron discipline". Not all of the games that you put your money into can't always give you money since we are talking about gambling. The highest chance you could get money from gambling is through cheating and owning a casino or gambling site.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 16, 2021, 04:50:42 AM
I never thought its that lovely. The one that I see here in bitcointalk is the bethash.io casino which has its fluffy mascot only but not the games with cutey characters on slot machines.

But don't you guys think the casino also is doing this so that the gamblers will feel like they are at least kids?  You don't wanna lose thousands of money yet still feel old and miserable but the feeling to be like a kid for just a period of time while playing could be an experience for gamblers.  Grin I 'm sorry I'm just kidding.
I guess so. But I think the casino only wants to give their best services to their members, especially for loyal members, and the casino wants to make them comfortable while playing gambling. And the members can feel satisfied with the services, and the members will not doubt to spend more money just to fills their want to playing gambling. Besides that, that will depend on each people interpretation, and they will have their own opinion.

They don't need an advertisement for that, right?

The fact that they are advertising that means that they needed more gamblers to go visit their casino. If they wanted the best service for their members, that advertisement is not needed. They can just use the budget for that ad to improve the gambling site and offer other things that would make their gamblers, well, gamble more money.
244  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will BTC go before the next leg up to 45-50k?? on: January 16, 2021, 04:47:02 AM
It is still sitting at a high price.

Right now it is at $36.3K and I think it would go further after some time. We never know when but all we know is that since we've reached such heights, I think we can reach higher but that still depends on what will happen. I think it will fall for a short period of time and it will just come back after that. No other places to go but to go up.
245  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can hit $50k? on: January 16, 2021, 01:01:50 AM
It's amazing that Bitcoin still hit the $20,000 mark and beyond despite of world economic crisis due to Covid 19 so if Bitcoin reach ATH after the difficulties then how much more to hit the $50,000 within this year if everything will back to normal again? Maybe it will be more than that.

That just proves something.

Fiat currencies' value is affected by the pandemic and with other phenomenons but in terms of Bitcoin, it is not affected by it. That just proves how great Bitcoin and how it will be so amazing in the future. So despite the fact that we are still affected by the pandemic, I see Bitcoin hitting more high prices and might be able to hit $50K in the next months or so.
246  Economy / Economics / Re: The recent rise in prices, temporary or more long term? on: January 10, 2021, 10:30:44 AM
In my opinion the upward price action is caused by institutional investors' interest in Bitcoin. Some people who were skeptical about Bitcoin recognized it potential only after PayPal announcement.

It is really the investors.

Paypal may be one of the most popular adoption of last year but with a lot of users not wanting the services given by Paypal, I think it is the numbers of investors actually putting their money into Bitcoin. Since the fall of Bitcoin at $3K, there are a lot of people who invested hence making the price we have right now.
247  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin volatility here to stay? on: January 10, 2021, 09:07:43 AM
What do you mean?

Bitcoin is volatile, in fact, one of the words that would come into your mind when you talk about bitcoin is its volatility. The reason that we are seeing this huge price leap for a period of weeks now is the fact that Bitcoin is volatile. Volatility doesn't just talk about dumping of price, as long as the price quickly changes in short period of time, as long as it can be affected by small movements, it is volatile.

Bitcoin is volatile because it is still in the Innovator - Early adopter phase. And this is similar to some of the equities as well. Check the case of Apple stock. It was first listed in 1981, and during the first two-three decades it gave 10x returns or more. The percentage increase tapered down, as the market cap increased over the years. The same will happen to Bitcoin as well.

This year, we might tell how early it is.

We've been asking for its wide adoption and for years, we are just relying on price movements. Right now, we are now experiencing small adoptions and we just hope that this year would be the start of that adoption. Maybe it is also the reason why we are seeing these price spikes happening.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: January 10, 2021, 08:40:53 AM

Most of the casual gamblers and addicted gamblers kept on going in and out of casinos or gambling sites and usually brag about their wins. Most of those people that actually win are those hiding their wins and strategies from the public. We mostly know those gamblers when they join professional tournaments we can usually watch online or live.

That is why I don't believe in people here who are selling their secrets or exploits on the gambling sites where they claimed they are winning up to 100 Bitcoin, if they are really winning they need not sell their secret and just keep the secret and go on winning until they are filthy rich it just don't make sense.

That is so true.

I know that there are a lot of people that want to help or share their strategies but there are some that might really doing those things for their own gain. For them to be able to earn some merit or money but not really help those people. And maybe even they knew other strats but they are not telling it to people.
249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambler who manages to beat the casino through cheating on: January 10, 2021, 07:39:25 AM
On a completely different note, good cheaters can become bug hunters and get paid for disclosing such bugs to casino platforms. There can always be a good and a bad side in things.
You're right about this, this could be the best for bug hunting which we all know to attract handsome rewards. In my local games i usually tried to game the platform but this isn't ethical becasue it help destroy ones reputations built for years.

There will be a lot of gamblers that would abuse it though.

Not all of the time, these gamblers would point out the bugs happening in a machine or a gambling site. Most of them would even abuse it and use it until they are satisfied. Let's be honest, we are talking about winning money through gambling. In the past it happened here as my father told me, they just abused the bug and when the owner found it, people just said they didn't know.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 10, 2021, 04:06:48 AM
The more this thread goes the more I think and the more I start to think television advertising and youtube advertising should be banned. I don't think it's something people need to be encouraged to do. If people want to gamble I have no issues and if they want to sign up for a daily list of promotions etc I couldn't argue with that.

The thing is that it is inevitable.

Despite that these platforms, social medias or casinos/gambling sites aim these advertisements to adults or those at the right age, they will never stop the ypoung people to see them. The internet and websites can't filter its users, these youngsters might want to watch animes in a site, they would obviously see ads about penis enlargement pills.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Confession: After 5 years of hodling, I finally sold on: January 10, 2021, 04:01:54 AM
A lot of people waiting for the altcoins to follow.

Ever since the price of Bitcoin rallied to what it is right now, people are asking when will altcoins follow. Some altcoins are having their good price movements right now and I don't know how many will follow but I will still stand with Bitcoin. If people just rode the price at $3K, they'll have 12x more of what they have at that time.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people seem to value 1 full BTC? on: January 10, 2021, 02:39:40 AM
I think it is a goal.

In the past as I the price of bitcoin increasing, I am aiming to get 1 Bitcoin to see if I am actually eager to do trading and investing and also to see whether I can actually save one. I am closing to that mark and I am not actually flexing that, It is like an achievement to me. To tell myself that I can do things and not overthink that I can't.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth season or alt season already? on: January 10, 2021, 02:33:54 AM
Still a bitcoin season for me.

As we all know, ethereum the same with other altcoins will follow the great run of bitcoin right now. And I think, as other also says, some altcoins might've make some great movement but I don't think not all of them would be able to do so. Let's enjoy the price that we have and be ready to what may happen.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remember when ETH was $1400 a few years ago then crashed to $70 as BTC crashed? on: January 09, 2021, 10:00:55 AM
I don't think we should even compare these two.

Bitcoin is dominating the market and that doesn't mean that the others are garbage. They are slowly following the steps of bitcoin since some people are actually trading some of their funds to get cheaper altcoins that might follow like Ethereum. There are a lot of times like these and there are a lot of times like in the past where Ethereum reached its ATH while Bitcoin is continuously falling.
255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 09, 2021, 09:56:23 AM
Advertisements are actually made to trap the people to use their service so those gambling sites gone bit extreme and tried to attract the underage people.Well a reputed gambling site can easily defend even if there is a lawsuit made against them with their money power so governments should bring strict regulations for advertisements as well if they really don't want such kind of ads which attract kids.

But what if they are not actually aiming for these underage people.

I think that's what happened. I think they are not actually aiming for these children to see the advertisement. In fact, if you will be reading the articles posted by the OP, it said that

Quote
The paid-for Facebook post was on a page only adult users can view.

meaning they are not actually aiming for them. If we will be talking about regulations, that would be hard since we are talking about Facebook here putting that ad on adult's ads but still viewed by these teenagers.

Maybe they were not, but a stuffed animals is automatically attractive to underage people, mostly to children who's age are 5-10 years old. Also there's nothing impossible to youngsters these days, they can even watch anything on YouTube, even in google, they are technically smart when it comes to technology since they were born in this Era. So the greatest precaution that could be done is to banned that kind of advertisement to prevent any kids getting into gambling at a very young age.

That is so true.

It is also great that they've quickly found this advertisement too on Facebook and quickly remove it for the safety of those underage people that might've seen it. Young people in this era are very resourceful so it is true that when it comes to things they needed, they could just look it up the internet but that could lead them to these kinds of advertisements.
256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 09, 2021, 09:50:54 AM
Many people go beyond and they try to chase losses back which pulls them in the trap!

That is the usual case.

I don't know about those members that gamble their earnings in signature campaigns but that would be harder for them too. The price of bitcoin is getting higher and higher and I think that could make them regret that they used those funds to gamble. We are still also affected by the pandeimc which I hope we all could get through.
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: January 08, 2021, 09:01:37 AM
But Some gamblers believe that it's purely Luck and that is why the diversion comes commonly , they don't even spare more time in evaluating but just betting , of course we are far different from them because we want at least some assurances that our bets will be placed in right one .
That is because they want to try their luck and still continue playing gambling for more rounds. Evaluating the previous game will be necessary to know what we need to modify to give us more chances to win. We can learn from our mistakes to have a better chance, but that does not mean that we can win because luck is still there.

Does luck really apply to it?

I mean each team has its share of chances or possibilities of winning the game. You bet on one team because maybe of your analysis that shows that they will or could win the match. Since they have their own shares of chances of winning, you never know what to bet so people usually bet on low odds. Sometimes the higher odds win but it is not because of luck but it is quite surprising given that they are the underdog or has the lower percentage of winning the game.
I think that can apply to that because the underdog team can change the situations, and they can perform better playing than the opponent, so they can increase the percentage of winning. And if the underdog team can change the situations, that will make us lose the luck to win. Sometimes we miss something that makes us make a wrong analysis, so we choose the wrong team.

You said it yourself.

When the underdog perform better, they increase that percentage of winning. That means it is not luck, it is themselves that increased their chance of winning. It is not luck at that point. These players having a great performance in a game is not luck. But that might be different from that games where the players played really well in a season.
258  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Govts would want to regulate exchanges much more! on: January 08, 2021, 08:55:34 AM
Why would they keep their funds in exchanges?

I know that there are a lot of people investing and trading other cryptocurrencies in these exchanges but I don't think it is ideal for them to store them in these exchanges. There are a lot of things that happened in the past that tell them to never trust their funds in these exchanges. There are a lot of other secure ways for them to hold their cryptos, exchanges are not one of them. As they always say, no key not your cryptos.

Regulations are expected to come especially that we are seeing a great movement from the market. In just a short time we might be paying the governent their taxes because of trading too.
259  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the Best Time to sell ? on: January 08, 2021, 01:50:28 AM
This is a difficult question to find the best solution, everyone says that the best time to sell an asset is when it reaches ATH, the question is who knows at what price the coin that you invest will reach ATH?  so, the best time to sell is when you've made a big profit from your coins..

That is always the problem

We usually say buy low, sell high but actually, we never know how low will the price go to reinvest. We never know how high will the price go to sell them. That is why it is better to just put a limit or a mark to the price and if the price hit that price mark, you will either sell some of your funds or buy/reinvest to that cryptocurrency.
260  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can hit $50k? on: January 08, 2021, 01:37:59 AM
I think it can.

The price already reached $40K. $50K is just there from our hands reach but it is somehow possible that the price might not reach that height since things are going so fast right now, we will never know how fast we will drop too. There is a possibility that it can reach $50K but for now, let's enjoy the new ATH at $40K and wait for it to be broken, again.
