Looking at the chart below, Monero seems to be very oversold to me... Smiley

It was at 0.001, not anymore. I hope you do realize that XMR is being mined and miners sell coins to cover their costs?  Grin

I'm planning on buying some more monero, but I need to get out of a bitcoin long position first. I'm probably looking at making a substantial purchase closer to monero's birthday.

Bitcoin in 2015 has been the biggest disappointment since my ex-wife.

Perhaps the "Congratulations Monero" buys will give a little pump for the coin.

No wonder.
Bitcoin doesn't offer anything worth of value.
It is a mere payment token - just like Amazon gift card. Nothing more.

Any news when the last part of the Silk Road coins gets auctioned?
245  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Slovenija (Slovenia) on: April 08, 2015, 10:02:50 PM

Zato, ker je nekaj Slovencev zraven. Pred enim mesecem sem malo raziskoval in ugotovil, da je najmanj en programer, en dizajner in ena tržnica iz Slovenije.

do you guys believe we will drop below 0,002 ?

Don't know. Majority will say it's impossible, but we had 4x move and corections in crypto world are deep regardless some players said they will be buying at 0.003 and now we are below 0.003.  Grin

Ne vem, mogoče pa tudi imajo kakšne prste vmes. Samo ne vem zakaj bi ravno v Sloveniji odprli podjetje/exchange...

guys please take it easy. i know times are crazy, some allready are very in the green, but we are still far far away from all this.
i share truecryptonaire's opinion in many ways, but from outside it might appear illusory for some.

lets all give our best to make it happen, i talked to many people about xmr, explained them the differences to bitcoin, they all loved it Grin
also colleagues at my work (big bank) like the idea since monero seems ideal for any kind of b2b transaction.

most still ignore us, some laugth, some allready fight. always be prepared for more Cool

+1 - monero rises by the factor 4 and everbody goes insane here. I do not want to piss on the parade and it is true *g* that everyone loves monero and is quite excited about it but at this point we have:

1.) one service taking monero directly (a psychiatrist in NY afaik) and ristos castle (?)
2.) xmr.to which converts xmr into btc
3.) some minor but fine services

bitcoin is accepted by

1.) 150000 stores worldwide
2.) got over the last year 700 million venture capital
3.) has a marketcap which is 500 - 1000 times higher
4.) a trading volume which is around 200-300 times higher

there are some data analysts who collected user numbers of altcoins - btc grows by week in the amounts the biggest altcoins has in total user numbers.

a realistic approach would be to get 10-25% of btcs market share in the future - these would be a huge success.

but to realistically talk about xmr as the future dominant ledger sound within all reasonable enthusiam delusional

There is always one guy that ruins the party.  Grin

What we have now is a Knowledge Age where there is no startup capital cost to production. You only need a computer and a desk.

This transition will take decades, but as we can see it's already happening to some extent: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_yaENlXGa4

Nobody cares about the GBTC.
Only the bulls who are praying for a pump.

lel

I pity those fools who bought that shit. they are bag holding it and cant even sell it.

too funny.

ěf anything the GBTC 'ting is driving the price further down. ^^

It makes sense, there is potentially more than 130k blocked coins offered to the market (they were banned from selling for over a year). I don't see any significant rally until seized coins are sold + Mtgox gets resolved or next halving comes to play.
253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 29, 2015, 09:27:34 PM
Order books don't look very strong. I wouldn't be suprised to see test of January lows. There is just not enough cash at reasonable price for leverage btc holders. Manipulators might try to push them out of positions with a big dump.

Bitcoin is so dead. Everybody just sell, so we can end this bear market.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 19, 2015, 10:45:44 PM
Big volume for BBR today. I wonder how supernet will impact it. Besides xmr, bbr is the only cryptonote coin I follow.

Just lone wolf buying. BBR is pretty much dead, XMR survived. I am saying this and still holding few BBR for memory. There could still be some big spikes in the future as price is crazy low, but nothing sustainable, devs are gone.

Last week everyone was so optimistic. What's going on?

I too find his posts decreasing the signal/noise ratio.  Self serving and borderline SPAM.

We all do.  Smiley

But since he is quite active poster it helps with visibility of XMR thread. I guess bad promotion is better than no promotion.

Is BBR still part of the supernet project ?

Yes.
260  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forex Broker - Trader's Way - Accepts US Clients, Bitcoin Deposit/Withdrawal on: March 11, 2015, 08:30:51 PM
Thank you for response. I will contact you when I'll withdraw. Currently I am still just trying out and I like it very much. Webinars with Wayne are also great. Smiley

I am interested why did you choose BTC-e over Bitfinex or Bitstamp or one of Chinese exchanges. It is known fact that Btc-e has high fees.

Pinky,

We chose BTC-e because of the wealth of deposit and withdrawal options available. It seems that BitStamp gives us less options. One concern we have is to be able to economically withdraw small deposits from the Bitcoin exchange, which can be done with various e-payment systems.

If you have any specific suggestions, I would be happy to take a look. I am not sure which options Bitfinex has to deposit/withdraw.

JC

Bitfinex - wire.
Bitstamp - SEPA, wire, Ripple.

After checking exchanges it seems that btc-e has really the most options. I don't know which option you use for deposit/withdrawals, but if wire of sepa than I guess you should check Bitfinex or Bitstamp.

edit: Here is the list of all exchanges and it's options, but I don't know them all as I use only the most reputable and with highest volume: http://www.bitcompare.de/
