I think it is time to open long position again  Grin There is not much coins to 410$, easy money.

Have you seen what happens when we cross 400? Immediate dumping. Be careful, at least until Sunday night. It seems as if someone is trying to keep the price under 400, maybe until their fiat arrives at the exchanges. I would personally wait until we start moving up on high volume Sunday as to not get caught in another trap.

No.

I'm simply trying to explain that there is no spoon.

Can you please be serious and explain cuz I have no idea what the fuck just has happend, and lost alot of money for no reason at all
Post
How many positions did you open?

This was about a long 20x leverage position that I did at $375

Aren't OKCoin futures prices different than exchange price? If so, maybe the price of futures went below your margin call. I'm not sure about this though, I dont deal will futures or OKCoin, I stick with BTC.sx for leverage.

EDiT: just looked on the futures chart and the price never got that low, maybe they will fix it for you.

WOW, my leveraged long seems to be gotten margin called at 382??? (we hit 381.998 but it wasn't supposed to be margin called till 358)

It said it would get margin called at 358?? What the fuck has happend??

Welcome to derivatives 101

Take heart tho, it's not a lesson that can be taught. It must be learned.

What?? My average price was 375 and I get margin called at 382?Huh

Exactly. You learn quick!

You did not own the asset, you owned a claim on the asset.

Paper shenanigans, and it sucks, but that's what you get, and that is how their system works.

What the fuck are you saying??
Are you saying some asshole decided he did not want to lend out any usd for me anymore? And he managed to do this AT THE SPLIT FUCKING SECOND we were at 382??

What website was this on?

Bleeding them sellers dry!!!  Cool

Obviously the sellers are buying back and then pump again. This has been going on non stop for 48 hours now.
A handful of traders are playing the sheep over and over again.

It's pure chaos and manipulation at the moment.

All it takes is a bunch of sheep to collectively trample the sheepherders. I guess the sheepherders are doing what they can before Monday.

It's as if they read your posts chestnut, went straight down to your 2435 stop loss.  Undecided

Hopefully everyone had the chance to send money to the exchanges already. If not you will probably miss the cheap tickets for the train.
248  Economy / Speculation / Re: This weeks bull trap left many people frustrated w/ bitcoin. Price is going down on: November 14, 2014, 06:53:14 PM
Who is frustrated?

volume on btcchina in the last days is a joke - its only fake volume, you can see the stupid trades buy 300 sell 300...

Volume on okcoin is "more real" (same on huobi) and it is dominating the market now. All exchanges go where okcoin leads.

Still, for me the reference price is on bitstamp.

On which exchanges are u looking for the "real" price?

OKcoin, even though it's one person trading back and forth with himself, everyone seems to be following his every move.

It's funny how one trader buying and selling to himself on OKCoin can dictate the entire global market.
251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 13, 2014, 06:55:37 PM
The only reason we have these ups and down is to exhaust the idiot sellers (weak hands) of their coins. Which I am all for 100%
252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 13, 2014, 06:14:57 PM
Let them sell all of their coins. When they run out we will ccmf all the way to the moon without them, because they obviously don't want to make the trip with us lol.
253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 13, 2014, 04:28:33 AM
If only bitfinex was still linked to bitstamp...
254  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 13, 2014, 01:40:31 AM

Waiting on fiat to hit bitstamp, China pulls back when stamp doesn't follow.

6 or 7 hours I think.

It looks like there is a lot of fresh money on OKcoin due to the hedgefond that stepped in. Arbitrage bots on the other exchanges might not have been prepared for this.

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2m0ey8/tuur_demeester_on_twitter_okcoin_rep_a_new_hedge/

The head article by Tuur was taken down.  (Tuur is the guy who once spoke wonders of Neo&Bee, right?)

I listened to a bit of the interview, it was not clear to me what the guy meant.  The phrase could be understood as "that fund is now using OKCoin's platform (i.e. servers + software + support personel) to trade its own shares, not bitcoin".  No?  (That would be great news for OKCoin and their VC investors, irrelevant for bitcoin & traders.)

Just thinking a bit... This is probably the typical Chinese lies, they use them all the time to push the markets in the direction they want. Once they have took all the profit, then they will release some bad FUD to then drive the price down and profit again.

Indeed Tuur was the one who spoke wonders of Neo&Bee. So I guess in this case he is just repeating what he listened in the video.

This means nothing, and probably not true. If you control $3 Billion why are you going to lose your time trading in OKCoin...? Makes no sense at all. You don't have enough market depth to even move some millions...
If a guy like that wanted to buy a lot of bitcoins he would just contact miners and buy in bulks to them offmarket.

And last but not less important, if a guy like that wanted to buy bitcoins, there is no way he would let anyone know about what he is doing, at least before he is completely loaded. No one with a lot of money is going to come and say, "Hey! I got loads of money and I'm going to panic buy at any price, please push the price higher so I buy more expensive. Thanks!"

What if he already has control of large amount of coins that he already bought off of miners? This is the perfect time of the year to make gains on those coins by going on exchange and letting the public know about it. This group could have been buying since January.
