241  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best opportunity to harvest your hodl results? on: July 03, 2023, 12:06:45 PM
I see like a lot of mess is going on around. That is why my question stands. Should it be family reasons? Will you buy a new house/island? What is your answer to the question?
We have our own individual reason when to reap our investment and benefit from it. However, for me, the best opportunity is when we see the market as well is in profits. That means we have to sell too so we can feel how its like to have an investment that paid off. Although some would stick to long term hodling forgetting their target price to sell, but if we stay rational, the market is highly unpredictable that’s why we have to take advantage everytime there is an opportunity to sell and make profits, rather than end up regretting because they missed an opportunity to be in profits.
242  Economy / Economics / Re: Has everyone become too pesimistic about the economy? on: July 03, 2023, 11:40:02 AM
Although I have an optimistic personality, I have started to have very pessimistic thoughts about the global economy especially in the last 1.5 years. These pessimistic thoughts imprison my mind as I see that the country's economies cannot develop due to extremely difficult conditions as well as the ever-increasing living costs, house rents and personal expenses. I constantly think that we may face an economic crisis worse than the 2008 crisis especially due to the inflation problem we have been encountering recently, the impoverishment of the households and the fact that the central banks are constantly printing money.

In general the economic measures taken are only to save the day and if we need to think about the negative impact on the economy in the long-term process, unfortunately, there is no other time left to be pessimistic about the world economy.
I guess a lot of people have turned pessimistic based on what they currently experience not just with the government’s economy but most especially to their own economy as well. Even those living with silver spoon may also have felt the effects of inflation as well. This should be an eye opener to everyone that there’s no way to escape inflation rather than to explore the world of decentralization and invest their fiat into bitcoin so they can overcome the effects of inflation. And by keeping your savings in bitcoin, not only you will save transaction costs but it will also pave way to your own life’s economy progress.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 03, 2023, 06:22:22 AM

It is really hard to forget Canelo Alvarez's expressions inside the ring because he just cannot hide how frustrated he was as he cannot really give something good towards Bivol to make the fight in his favor, even the judges tried to help him, but it was just so clear that Bivol is too dominant inside his own division. Canelo probably thought that he can have the belt once again as he managed to defeat Sergey Kovalev few years back in the same division.

It was just beyond his skills to beat that guy and look at them didn't even bother to take a second chance to regain back his honor by asking Bivol for a second fight instead they are cherry-picking opponents nowadays just to be active in boxing for the months to come. If only they choose to fight real contenders no matter how hard it is, they wouldn't have lost the reality of boxing as we saw in the past in the Mike Tyson era, nowadays if the opponent has high more chance of beating them, they don't accept the challenges rather they dodge it by looking for a small fish opponent that is available.

Canelo has accepted the fact that he cannot beat Bivol, but it seems like he's making excuses by offering an unfavorable revenue sharing for a potential rematch. It's clear that the fight won't happen under those conditions. What Canelo is doing is sticking with a division where he can dominate and likely retire as a champion.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 03, 2023, 05:52:19 AM
The Chicago Bulls applied to the NBA management for a $10.2 million 'unusable player exemption' due to Lonzo Ball's injury!

I think Lonzo Ball's career is over. Lonzo Ball will most likely never play in the NBA again.

Honestly we probably ly will see him again.  Kid is still only 25, probably won't play this year but we will see him on the court again.  Problem is with so many knee issues how effective will he be is the question.  With guards requiring an insane amount of lateral agility, knee injuries are typical "productive" career enders.  Might end up like d rose amd ride bench and provide insight to the younger fellas on the team.
I hope he doesn't get frustrated with the current situation in his career. Right now, it's not only a physical challenge but also a mental one, as he needs to find a way to overcome these trials. In fact, if Paul George was able to come back from a serious injury, I believe anyone can make a comeback with dedication and hard work.
245  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How did you start your posting life as a newbie??? only for full mem, Sr and leg on: July 02, 2023, 09:51:21 PM
No need to complicate things and pressuring yourself just because you are a newbie. As long as you know the rules and never meant to break it, then start your posting journey in the forum. However, make sure you DYOR first before you try to engage in any discussion especially in threads that you are not familiar to. The more you do it, the bigger chances you will learn a lot more in the forum. Just be yourself and do your task in your best ability and skills, in the long run you will notice that your post is getting close to highly valuable posts like those veterans in the forum do. And before you knew it, getting merits will be easier for you.
246  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not limits your investment... on: July 02, 2023, 09:28:03 PM
Investing in alts with nearly zero value is not always a wise option, and your friend got lucky that he did not lose all his investments. When you look at the ROI it is almost the same whether you increase your portfolio or just buy/trade BTC.

Probably OP’s friend invested when the time altcoins easily surge high because they are hyped and maybe those were established altcoins that time, unlike today that if you chose to invest in altcoins, expect that you’ll be more susceptible to losses especially if you got easily lured by those promising projects that are too good to be true. However, it’s clear that he’s not totally dependent on altcoins but in order to maximize his bitcoin investment, he need some altcoins to make it happen.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How big is your optimism for crypto investment? on: July 02, 2023, 08:51:59 PM
I will never invest in a such a thing that is not valuable and has no brighter future. One thing that bitcoin is completely an opposite. Although it’s highly risky because of its price uncertainty, but since I believe it has its high potentials to succeed more than other cryptocurrency, then I never invest with fears but build my faith in it instead. That’s the reason why I remain hopeful and very optimistic that bitcoin will reach another heights more than it’s previous all time high. Not because it’s the most expensive in the market, but because it has the highest utility when it comes to cryptocurrency in the market.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo - September 30th in Las Vegas on: July 02, 2023, 06:07:55 AM
I guess people will be seriously talking about this fight, discussing the chances of both boxers. Jermell Charlo is active unlike his brother, so I would expect him to give Canelo a hard time or even defeat him. This is the type of fight that fans would love to see—something that is hard to predict in terms of the winner. Although I believe the bookies would favor Canelo as the favorite to win this fight, who cares? I just think Jermell Charlo is a tough opponent.
249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: July 02, 2023, 05:33:44 AM
It looks like another win for Bisdak tonight. There are three minutes left in the game, and DYIP is performing well, leading by 4 points. Even if they can't secure the win, they will at least cover the spread, making it a profitable bet. Of course, I hope they will win, so I'm supporting you, kabayan. Get this win again!

Unfortunately, the bet was ruined as not only did the Gin Kings win the game, but they also covered the spread. The game was closely contested in the 4th quarter, with DYIP even taking the lead. However, the Gin Kings managed to go on a 12-0 run, ultimately finishing the game with an 8-point victory.

Not sure what happened but when I did check the score when Kelvinid posted his reply, I also in the impression that it was a win for bisdak, leading 4 points and that additional +4.5 for the handicap, in 3 minutes time frame they can just relax the ball and try to keep exchanging basket, but unfortunately like you mentioned Gin kings made that rally a 12-0 run.

That's how PBA works, especially it's an on-tour game, a classic Gin kings never say die attitude.

We've witnessed the never-say-die attitude. That's what they demonstrated with their big run, which ruined the chance of DYIP in that game. Even though they were on tour and missed their starters, Ginebra still played very well in their two consecutive wins. So, I guess we can trust them in their succeeding games.
250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a Morning Routine have any Effect as a Day Trader? on: July 01, 2023, 09:54:42 PM
Yes, it may create a positive effect on trading but most likely if we aim to be successful in trading, one should have the high knowledge to understand the market changes and be able to analyze the market well when is the best entry and exit, and of course high experiences in trading too as that will build your confidence and build your right emotions as well when trading.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still do business with them? on: July 01, 2023, 09:37:43 PM
If I think there are positive changes on the company management, I will not hesitate to do business with them again but maybe this time, I’ll just only risk just a small portion of my coins. And I think that it’s only advisable to use centralized exchanges when we only decide to trade, while the rest of our coins should be kept and hold for long term in our own hardware wallet that makes it highly safe from scammers around.
252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: July 01, 2023, 12:03:30 PM

It's because they think that Canelo can knockout a overweight and not natural 168 lbs who is inactive for 2 years in Jermall Charlo. Ryder is a bigger guy and maybe weight around lightweight during their fight. I doubt that Charlo can be at 175 once he is rehydration. And we don't know, maybe Canelo has put a rehydration clause as well in this fight.

Charlo's inactivity is a major disadvantage for him. Canelo hasn't been knocking out boxers recently, perhaps because his confidence was somewhat shaken after his loss to Bivol. However, he is an overall smart fighter who knows how to conserve his energy and ensure victory.

What will be the betting odds for Canelo to win by KO and Canelo to win by decision? I believe bookies know better. If the odds for Canelo winning by KO are lower, it likely indicates a higher probability of that outcome.
253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 01, 2023, 11:19:49 AM
  • Draymond Green is also staying with the Golden State Warriors on a four-year, $100 million deal.
I knew it, Draymond's going to stay with a fair contract, so I would say that the Warriors are now ready for the next season as the core is still intact. Plus, Chris Paul has been added to the lineup now. I'm sure Paul is happy, and maybe this time his chance to win a championship will come true.

  • Memphis Grizzlies have signed Desmond Bane to a 5-year, $207 Million MAX contract extension - First $200M Deal in Grizzlies History
  • Indiana Pacers have signed Tyrese Haliburton to a 5-year max extension worth UP TO $260 Million!

These contracts are insane, personally, I believe it's overvalued.
254  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginners Should Follow These To Be A Good Price Predictor on: June 30, 2023, 09:51:39 PM
Your take doesn't necessarily mean that if you do any stuff with the things OP things listed, it's still no guarantee you will get any of the prices right. Being an indicator of price isn't necessarily equate to just following it. It's still up to the market.
This is very true. Know that the trading market is always uncertain and unpredictable so regardless if you are highly knowledgeable and skilled in trading, there’s no guarantee that you will come up with perfect price prediction in most of your trades. Even veterans in trading still suffer from inevitable losses, that is because their analysis in the market and their market price predictions were never perfect at some point. So I think there’s no way a trader will be perfect enough to predict correctly all the crypto prices in the market.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kids and Bitcoin on: June 30, 2023, 08:59:54 PM
My next Bitcoin awareness approach now are the children, there are many kids in my family and very soon our get-together tradition is approaching, I need your help in this forum if this is possible.

I remember when I was little, I love reading books that have good pictures on them, like comics and novels painted with amazing pictures, from Peter Pan to DareDevil and Supergirl, while growing up as an adult I ended giving out these comics to my cousins.

My question is where can I buy Bitcoin comic books that can catch the attention of children between the age of 7 to 11? I want something in comic or story book style and with full story about Bitcoin or related... I want to buy and wrap them up for the surprises.

I’m not against on teaching bitcoin to the young minds so they can be great investors in the future. However, don’t take it too seriously as kids will always be kids and will learn much from playing and not from serious study on such things especially for a broad topic like bitcoin. Although you can start to introduce bitcoin to them but never expect that they will show high interest on it instantly as they will never be zealous about money making like how adults are eager about it.
256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: June 30, 2023, 02:47:47 PM
Your strategy of placing sizeable bets on single games is interesting. Like eating a giant creature - one piece at a time. But remember, each bet brings its share of thrill and uncertainty. While navigating these enchanting waters, remaining vigilant and welcoming surprises is paramount.
If you want to increase your chances of winning in sports betting, it's advisable to approach parlay bets with caution. Parlay bets typically give the house more advantage, so it's better not to heavily focus on them and instead place smaller bets. In my experience, I have found more success when I have fewer bets in a single day, allowing me to concentrate on the games I'm interested in. This approach provides better insights and enables me to analyze them more effectively.
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 30, 2023, 12:05:18 PM

DYIP +4.5 @1.89 vs Ginebra
DYIP ML @2.43 vs Ginebra

These bets are looking good, kabayan. DYIP is competing at a high level now, although Ginebra is currently leading. But we've seen how they had a great start in the first quarter, so I believe this game will end up being close. The moneyline bet has a chance, while the handicap bet has a better chance of winning.

Both teams are shooting at a high percentage, currently over 60%. And we know that when the game is not too physical, DYIP has a good chance of winning.
258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: June 29, 2023, 01:46:57 PM
Donaire still winning here from my own take, Santiago's capability is not the same or far from how Inoue dominated
this division.

There's a significant gap between Inoue and Santiago. Inoue has held the championship in the division for quite some time, while Santiago is currently just a contender. In fact, both Donaire and Santiago are contenders fighting for the vacant belt that Inoue left behind. It's undeniable that Inoue stands out in the discussion because there hasn't been a fighter who comes close to his skills, except perhaps for Casimero.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Confident Are You In The Reliability of the KYC system on: June 28, 2023, 11:16:43 AM
Some people have made KYC verification a very bad thing, but it's not, I have been passing KYC since 2017 and I have no problem doing it now, the only places where you aren't supposed to pass KYC are suspicious platforms and scam projects.

That's the perception held by some. However, if they were to understand that KYC is a regulatory requirement that must be implemented by casinos, they would comply with confidence rather than resist it. Perhaps casinos should also provide explanations about why they require KYC, ensuring that everyone is aware of this necessary requirement. This way, people would not be misled or have misconceptions about such a fundamental requirement.
260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 28, 2023, 10:54:12 AM

Donaire was a great example of a true champion, as he was well aware that Inoue could beat him again, and yet he still risked a unification match to test himself against Inoue once more.
Inoue is also a great example as he always seeks to fight the best opponents, which is why he became an undisputed champion in the bantamweight division. After winning, he wasted no time in moving up for the super bantamweight title match. If he succeeds again, it would be a tremendous accomplishment, and I am certain he will continue pushing his limits.
