241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Risk in National ID submission for ICO KYC? on: January 24, 2018, 05:22:53 PM
Hi guys,
Today I thought that many ICO are allowing to participate after KYC in which user has to submit national id, address proof and bank statement etc.
Isnt it risky?

this is a double-edged sword and i think this could work in our favour or against us because now we have seen a growing number of ICOs requiring their participants to undergo KYC to avoid any legal confrontations as regulators have  made this to be a must-do requirement  and the bad part of KYC is if the project a scam we might be exposed to identity theft but we just ought to be extra cautious who we share our info with.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to get safe in myetherwallet (MEW) on: January 23, 2018, 09:45:52 PM
myetherwallet (MEW) has put some pro tips that pop up if you are visiting the site for the first time or never Finished reading through the slides to help safeguard our coins from hackers and I think accessing our coins using the private key should be avoided as its easily to be compromised once entered on a wrong address, prefer the the keystore/Json file to access wallet.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: January 23, 2018, 09:31:00 PM
$BNB the ONLY coin where you can invest in the exchange. This will be a top coin for chinese/international traders. Eventually it will only be 100M supply.
The Binance coin does offer a discount on the exchange's services which could influence BNB price to raise as people what these discounted rates and demand will make this a reality.

Now I have completely transferred my deposit to the Binance exchange. It seems to me that this is the most reliable exchange. I used to trade Bitrex, but now I do not have confidence that this exchange will exist in the future.
its certainly the best exchange at the moment just hope they wont be affected by any exchange requirements that state authorities are putting on exchanges that exist in certain countries.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🔴 🔴 🔴 Attention: KYC for Bounties 🔴 🔴 🔴 on: January 22, 2018, 10:33:58 PM
Some really helpful information and I noticed some campaigns are now making this as a basic requirement to claim bounties but with this caution maybe avoiding such campaigns should be enough to avoid being a victim
245  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoint to $1,800 USD by end of 2018 on: January 18, 2018, 10:12:59 PM
If our wall street consultant is confident about this happening come December, let him put his job on the line so that we take him serious instead of spreading FUD which he has nothing to lose for it.

Maybe editor made a typo and was suppose to refer to bitcoin cash in the article Tongue
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] [LYM] LYMPO - OFFICIAL BOUNTY THREAD on: January 17, 2018, 10:57:16 PM

247  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hold or Trade - Which is Better? on: January 16, 2018, 02:00:53 PM
I think it all depends on what cryptocurrency you intend to  Hold or Trade because some coins perform well in the long term which will be good to hodl , others have volatile markets which is a good signal to pick a coin for trading.

For the sake of profit making both Hodling and Trading are good.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] [LYM] LYMPO - OFFICIAL BOUNTY THREAD on: January 15, 2018, 10:52:16 AM

249  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need Community help against BOUNTY IMPERSONATOR on: January 15, 2018, 10:18:01 AM
What did you think about all those bounty managers? since a bounty manager can have 100 alt account with many new eth address.
the manager hasn't credited tokens for the poor work just a coincidence probably
250  Economy / Reputation / Need Community help against BOUNTY IMPERSONATOR on: January 12, 2018, 11:51:39 PM
What happened::
Hey BITCOINTALK need some help here, I have some person impersonating me and probably others whose claiming bounty stakes in my name but the only problem is this imposter has several medium accounts with no followers unlike myself. I got to know of this when I checked for my name on a spreadsheet i thought I had submitted my work but did not and accidentally found this IMPERSONATOR using my forum name and bitcoin link id, the only thing separating me from this imposter is an address his getting paid on and their fake medium account with low quality work and AFAIK this person has been doing this for a long time and apparently there is an address that links other forum users to the imposters address, roughly 25 accounts.

251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin "Mainstream" yet? The poll. on: January 12, 2018, 12:26:43 PM
Bitcoin is very much mainstream!
But people and other institutional investors are holding back because of the current slow confirmation times of transactions and the high fees which are not suitable for small transactions.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My Korean Theory with no proof whatsoever on: January 12, 2018, 10:24:16 AM
Its a good theory but not convincing enough for a reason why the Korean government isn't banning bitcoin, maybe the reason for this is they plan on bring their own crypto that will be centralized unlike bitcoin which has no central authority....and these guys should know a lot about tech and they wouldnt let the blockchain pass them...
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Increasing Bitcoin supply on: January 12, 2018, 10:02:31 AM
I am asking this question for my knowledge as I don't know the real fact as a newbie, We know that Bitcoin has limited supply compare to new altercoins, As the supply is not too big, Bitcoin price has become very high, My question is ,Is it impossible to increase the bitcoin supply mining new bitcoins further more ?  Thanks in advance
Even with the limited total supply bitcoins do technically increase as they are not all mined and if you mean having to increase the  total supply itself...its very much possible to do so but this has less benefits to value so few would support this
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2018 governaments will regulate cripto? on: January 12, 2018, 06:30:25 AM
I red this post bere

In 2018 governaments will regulate cripto and some of them will forbid them. Is that true or false?
Governments are free to do what the want but because cryptos exist in the virtual world it is practically difficult to achieve whatever the government whats from this whole process but in some countries this is possible because some crypto services have physical offices where they can be reached out...
255  Economy / Speculation / Re: THIS is the time to buy! on: January 12, 2018, 05:55:50 AM
For any smart trader, this is the right time to buy and i expect the price to recover once we have the lightning network or other protocol to be  infused with bitcoin to make transactions much faster and cheaper as opposed to what we are subjected to which is contributing to the slow adoption rate.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pros and cons of whitepapers on: January 12, 2018, 05:15:09 AM
A whitepaper is basically supposed to be used to introduce a company to its potential investors what its capable of doing but the problem with some of these whitepapes is they are exaggerated to the point that the writers of these also seem to only get ideas from existing projects.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BITCOIN LIGHTNENING NETwork on: January 11, 2018, 07:11:06 PM
I remember the Lightning Network was linked to litecoin but if this can be extended to bitcoin this will surely make it a day to day currency and transaction fees will greatly drop altogether but this will reduce miner incentives in the process as a result of reduced fees, all in all we are waiting for the Lightning experience  Cool
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] (CED) CEDEX 1st Ever certified blockchain diamond exchange on: January 11, 2018, 06:30:05 PM
Was going through the white paper and am impressed you already have some recognizable  Diamond Dealers already backing the project but are there measures to prevent people from buying or selling fake stones?
259  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is bitcoin dangerous ? on: January 11, 2018, 06:19:08 PM
bitcoin was developed to be user friendly currency and basically to mark the beginning of a new generation of currencies and not to be dangerous.

With the use of bitcoin i think we also get to experience fewer problems such as inflation as total supply is fixed, unlike fiat which can be printed anytime!
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin dies does altcoin die? on: January 11, 2018, 04:34:59 PM
We have witnessed several altcoins die along the way and Bitcoin has remained strong and alive.... and If Bitcoin was to die today I see no reason why altcoins should follow this path because afaik they are all independent of each other.
