If MasterCard wants to sue me, they are welcome too ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) You do realize that everyone installing your software will be violating MasterCard's copyright? Why should anyone use your coin if that means *they* risk being sued by MasterCard? That's not true at all. First of all, their logo is nowhere within the Mastercoin client. It's not even their logo at all, it's a orange circle, with the word Master in it. Secondly, it's only half of their logo. Pretty sure MasterCard does not own the word "master" ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Why don't you make your own unique logo instead of cutting Mastercards in half? This is either plain strange or just lazy. FFS, he didn't make the logo. He offered a bounty for a logo, someone submitted it, and he paid the bounty for it. Not everyone is a graphic designer ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Well, there's no need to be a graphic designer to make that crap, even the trainee at the 1st day where I work (a web agency) can do something much better.

My dgc p2pool start to use a lot of memory ( 288mb and rising ), it could be due to the number of shares downloaded? (in the data/digicoin folder there is shares.0 , shares.1, shares.2 of about 10mb each) it's a normal behaviour?

Yeah I've had 3% until 4 hours ago then suddently start to get ophans, I've changed the address in the Boostrap_addr and now seems a bit better but still a lot of orphans, maybe a bad connections with some other p2pool?

Updating the pool list now. Hashrate is currently floating around 250MH. Some serious interest in this coin ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Maybe you can help or tell me how to get p2pool going so I can add.a pool +1

DGC up to 0.0006 BTC on cryptsy! Keep its value going!
There is a way to know the bid and ask volume on criptsy?

Please someone correct me if I am mistaken. I am not a Python coder.I have taken a quick look at the code and from my limited knowledge of Python it seems that if "IDENTIFIER" and "PREFIX" values in p2pool/networks.py are not equal between P2Pools, the pools will be working on their own individual shares (a block in P2Pool terms) and not a collective block distributed amongst ALL P2Pools. This is where the fragmentation happens and results in a number of decentralised P2Pools. So it seems the key here would be for ALL P2Pools to use the same "IDENTIFIER" and "PREFIX" values. So taking an example from akabane's kind submission to github, if ALL P2Pool ops had the following in their p2pool/networks.py, ALL P2Pools would acknowledge each other and work on the same share (block).. IDENTIFIER='a5aed03050126d6d'.decode('hex'), PREFIX='b6c0601991aa19a3'.decode('hex'),
Please please correct me if I am mistaken... As an example take a look at the litecoin pool at p2pool.org The section at the bottom right has 4 peers out and 24 peers in http://p2pool.org:9327/static/Another example this time a DGC P2Pool. http://208.117.43.200:5400 - Decagrog | 0.5% | Chicago, USA (Geekstorage)2 Peers out / 4 Peers in Decagrog, what codebase are you using for your pool? Also what servers do you have in the "BOOTSTRAP_ADDRS" variable in p2pool/networks.py? I'm using pretty much the same settings of akabane source, I'm just trying spread=72 from about 12hours and seems to have a better orphans ratio Also I've tried to connect with CartmanSPC pool (see bootstrap_addr) but i can't see his ip in my p2pool log ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) digital=math.Object( PARENT=networks.nets['digital'], SHARE_PERIOD=30, # seconds target spacing CHAIN_LENGTH=24*60*60//10, # shares REAL_CHAIN_LENGTH=24*60*60//10, # shares TARGET_LOOKBEHIND=200, # shares coinbase maturity SPREAD=75, # blocks IDENTIFIER='a5aed03050126d6d'.decode('hex'), PREFIX='b6c0601991aa19a3'.decode('hex'), P2P_PORT=23396, MIN_TARGET=0, MAX_TARGET=2**256//2**20 - 1, PERSIST=True, WORKER_PORT=5400, BOOTSTRAP_ADDRS='pool.bounceme.net dgc.xpool.net'.split(' '), ANNOUNCE_CHANNEL='#p2pool-alt', VERSION_CHECK=lambda v: True, ),

Your having the same problem I was with orphans using hakabanes code. If you like we can connect our two pool together with my code to see if the orphans problem goes away? ...good job though ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) BTW, I found that you have to delete the data/digitalcoin folder between certain code changes. Maybe that was part of your problem. Thanks CartmanSPC , I've added your pool to the boostrap_addr (is dgc.xpool.net right? ) let's see if the orphan rate drop

I've just managed to put online a stratum P2Pool, I'm running on it my 2 hd7950 Address: 208.117.43.200:5400 Server location: US - Chicago Fee: 0.5% (for sustain server cost) Frontend: http://208.117.43.200:5400/static/Example mining with cgminer: cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://208.117.43.200:5400 -u <your-address-wallet> -p <any-password> Please let me know if you have any issue

I've finally got the pool to work! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Didn't found the exact problem but I've downloaded and compiled again the digicoin source and started flawlessly ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) If someone want to test the p2pool the final address is http://208.117.43.200:5400 (yes i've changed the port again), I'm putting on it about 1.1mh/s

I had to turn off connecting to other Digitalcoin P2Pools using hakabanes code. Too many orphans.
Check to see that incoming TCP connections to the port your using (9327) are open on the firewall. Will try it now...ok it shows as being down so I can't connect to your pool either.
Sorry I've the pool still active but I've switched back to port 7998 , still same problem...I've the firewall temporary disableb and if I try to telnet 208.117.43.200 7998 the port result open. The strange thing is that I've managed to connect the miner to the pool only using the same username and pass in the digicoin.conf...well it only connect but then can't mine, the frontend graph don't show any miner ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) If someone want to give a try the p2pool url is 208.117.43.200:7998 and frontend is http://208.117.43.200:25397/static/

I was using hakabane network.py and helper.py files so I assume that the problem is not here... Adding your pool url to bootstrap parameter can get past the p2pool error but still i cant connect with cgminer: [2013-06-01 14:34:44] Testing pool http://208.117.43.200:9327 [2013-06-01 14:34:45] HTTP request failed: The requested URL returned error: 401 [2013-06-01 14:34:45] HTTP request failed: The requested URL returned error: 401 [2013-06-01 14:35:44] No servers were found that could be used to get work from. Network hashrate is growing up. But still no trades? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) How do you check the network hashrate? Enter in any cryptocoin console. You will see something like this { "blocks" : 14514, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.09694412, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 27051769, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false } Thanks! I'd a look to "help" in the console and having fun with the other commands ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)
