How do you do that copper electroplating?

I use a long process:
1st, I apply auto body bonding clay, which I then dry and sand down to add a smooth surface.
2nd, I spray on a carbon-rich shielding layer, and sand down
3rd, I meticulously paint on a couple layers of silver print.
4th, I use a copper sulphate electrolyte bath to electroplate copper to the object.

Sorry I missed out. Wish you would have responded to my PM. I would have gone higher if you had responded to my offer of 2BTC. Oh well, I hope the new owner enjoys his watch.

I'm not sure what the btct.co api supports, maybe post a query here:
[BTC-TC] Community Exchange w/ Options, DRIP, 2FA, API, CSV, etc.

They have been pretty responsive with new features, so it can't hurt ask.
246  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: June 19, 2013, 10:18:50 PM
They are american, you can activate them anytime before the expiration date

Avalon appears to be entering mass production as seen here http://imgur.com/a/fqpME
This is from a mailing list email I just received. Competition, ON.
"Dear pierrejo,
It is time, tickets have subdued as most orders have been added to the system, shipping has began en mass.
picture are worth a thousands of words."

Paid for by those 75BTC batch 3 Avalon orders. I think $/BTC was over 175 then...

I was quoting Jutarul Smiley I wish I had that many XD
Unfortunately
Trust me, I'm poor, nothing to see here, move along  Wink

I'm not at that scale please check the Vladmir Club thread for the most profitable scamming locations XD

Vladimir Isn't good enough for you FINE

XD

My mistake. I'm pretty sure these elitist clubs are just mechanisms to ensnare wealthy novices into being loose with their BTC.

"Trust me <wealthy novice>, I'm in the Vladimir Club, who better to help you set up a cold wallet then me?"

That's true, but the offer is meant to be timed as a nice hedge against any unsatisfactory news friedcat might drop on the ASICMINER thread tomorrow regarding the 12-hour offline period yesterday and the time table regarding getting blades back into the marketplace. I have a feeling we'll see some burn-off in the 12 hours after the DIV's are distributed to ASICMINER-PT shareholders.

I am currently holding 10000 shares, which can be verified at https://blockchain.info/tx/3c07216fce4bd45d0c7d49eabe21a4c137691e481527d0f936b65e49bc7bb7cf by looking up my address: 1KbAD8KU1u6uw6nHSJEYpdZfgQbNbTAkH2

For the life of me, I cannot figure out what good could come from these statements. Best to keep your holdings private or at least discreet IMO. Reminds me of my Dad's buddy from medical school who is always boasting about his safe full of gold and guns when he gets drunk.

I'm sure you know how to protect yourself freedomno1, but it sets a poor example for the naive who may not realize the scammers which lurk on this board.

To fellow recent arrivals to the bitcoin scene, I suggest this approach:
Trust me, I'm poor, nothing to see here, move along  Wink

Worried about ASICMINER price decline? Lock in a price. I see a PUT option of 6 shares @2.6BTC strike for 0.2BTC premium on btct.co
That's a tempting one, that is.

 Cheesy

Not  a bad price - but I just undercut it to 1.9. for now

I decided one or two undercuts is worth another  Grin

PUT 5 @ 2.6BTC strike for 0.13BTC premium

We're getting some competition on the PUT markets on btct.co (In the past, I've noticed the CALL/PUT offers have been overpriced and many intentionally constructed to deceive naive buyers).

That's good more options trading will stabilize the market. I encourage people to get more involved in options trading of AM on BTCT.

where can I learn about what these 'options' mean?

Call options:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_option
Purchase a call option to have an option to buy at the strike price by the expiration date. The premium is paid at the time of option purchase, and is not included in the strike price if you take up the option to buy before the option's expiration.

Put options:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Put_option
Purchase a put option to have an option to sell at the strike price by the expiration date. The premium is paid at the time of option purchase, and is not included in the strike price if you take up the option to sell before the option's expiration.

Less interesting or profitable reason for decline:
Blackouts in Southern China caused by hot weather.

I'm hoping it's hardware sales, though.

  • Updated pricing.
  • Added surface finishing options for 3D prints.
257  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: June 19, 2013, 04:07:04 PM
But a large dividend funded by big hardware revenues has consistently driven the price up over the last few dividends cycles. I think this will be the last large dividend for a few weeks, so best to sell off after the dividend hits your wallet, then buy back in once the BlockEruptor v2 are being sold and Hashing Rate gets back to >20%
258  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: June 19, 2013, 03:50:08 PM
Have to wait, in case the dip in hash rate is because of large hardware sell off.

Watch for a series of deposits (exculding those from ASCIMINER Mining address—We're looking for hardware sales revenues) here: http://blockchain.info/address/115tTroRo3B9ZDQ6ATJGDCHcNEVbjJoZnF
If they total large ( >10,000 ) then buy OR small ( <2,500 ) then sell
259  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 19, 2013, 03:18:36 PM
I just bought 71 shares of ASICminer on BTC-TC. This is my first time investing in anything using bitcoin (up till now I was a hoarder I guess). Risks aside, the value proposition just seems really good. Of course I didn't invest everything, though I was tempted to

I have two questions.

1) Am I crazy? It just seems too good to be true. Maybe i just trust friedcat too much? Why is the yield sitting on 50-60% annually and yet the price doesn't move upwards much?

2) Am I in time to get the dividends tonight?

Best not to quote how many shares of anything you bought anywhere on this board (Thieves/scammers lurking)

In the future, "I bought some shares of ASICMINER on a passthrough" would be a more prudent approach.
260  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: June 19, 2013, 03:09:30 PM
Uncertainty begets volatility?. I cite decline in blocks found, the mysterious 12 hours offline yesterday, and block eruptor blades being sold out as reasons for some short-term holders to liquidate ASICMINER shares. I have a suspicion these uncertainties will magnify the impact of today's dividends, and a reduced dividend in the range of (0.015—0.0235BTC) will have many pass-through shareholders selling off (price reduction to 2.65-2.75 BTC/share) Could be an interesting 36 hours after the DIV's hit.
