2401  Economy / Economics / Re: What is better - cryptocurrency trading or investing? on: July 28, 2021, 05:32:39 PM
Cryptocurrency investors are more 'risk-averse' than traders, since they are more comfortable with leaving their investments alone and are not concerned with the daily price volatility. However, traders are risk-takers since frequent trading incurs a much higher degree of risks. This is because the extreme volatility of short-term cryptocurrency prices can present traders with the opportunity to make lots of money but could be equally disastrous if they are on the wrong side of the bet. Additionally, traders often engage in margin trading, which is a practice of borrowing funds from third parties to trade cryptocurrencies. Margin trading significantly increases the risks of trading since the traders have the ability to make more money (as compared to using their own funds) but also increases their potential losses.
I honestly believe that there is a good chance we could end up with a lot of profit only if we could ignore the price. I have done that for a very long time now and I am very happy with the results. I am not only invested in bitcoin, I am invested heavily into eth and bnb as well and making profit in both of them, and I have invested in some smaller coins as well like uniswap and cake as well and making a profit in both of them as well.

In short, the ability to ignore the price allowed me to make a good profit in the long run, and for some people that is not easy for some reason, but an investor could make a profit 100% guaranteed given enough time whereas a trader may end up losing money all the time forever if they are bad at it, or they could make a lot more profit than an investor if they are good at it, so it is a risk that you take while becoming a trader.
2402  Economy / Economics / Re: What kind type of market player you are? on: July 28, 2021, 04:35:16 PM
I will put out a part of the funds for long-term holding, and also use a part of the funds for contracts or leverage. Long-term holding is because you believe in the market. I still think that long-term holding is the most correct approach, but why should I take some speculation? If I hold the currency for a long time, I will become insensitive to the market. I will start not paying attention to the market, not paying attention to the market, not paying attention to the news, not paying attention to new products. This will make me regress, so I will do a good job of fund allocation, long-term holding can go to some DEFI products for financial management, speculators can exercise their sensitivity to the market, and keep pace with the market.
This is basically what keeps anyone going. I have seen people who do only long term investment and that's good, but they end up basically putting it there and forgetting about it and not even checking up what is going on in crypto world, I could ask them what the price of bitcoin is today and they may not end up knowing it. Is this really bad? Not really, if it works for them then it is a good way to make a profit out of crypto world.

However I like crypto way too much to stop checking it out, so what did I do? Most of my investment is in btc-eth-bnb and for very long term, I am not trading them or selling them, I have 2-3 other smaller coins that I invest long term as well but in very small amounts. Whatever is left after those investments goes straight into risky stuff, defi, trading, leverages (rarely) and everything else, even got myself an NFT once.
2403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy some low cap coins on: July 28, 2021, 07:07:17 AM
one of the best low market cap coins 2021

1. Matic Network (MATIC)
2. Zilliqa (ZIL)
3. Blockstack (STX)
4. SiaCoin (SIA)
5. Docademic (MTC)
6. SelfKey (KEY)
7. Basic Attention Token (BAT)
8. Linda
I am not much of altcoins fan, I don’t buy so many altcoins. The altcoin I have trust for is mainly Ethereum and most of the other altcoins are just a copy of what Ethereum already is, and they all don’t succeed with that.

Though I have seen a few that are good and I have invested in them. And none of the coins I am investing in are low market cap coins, they are all top of the list coins and they are very few. I have invested in Cardano, and it’s a really good coin. The only low market cap coin on your list that have kind of been interested in investing in it is Basic Attention Token (BAT) but all these tokens crashes badly after the bitcoin bull run.
2404  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io - Main sponsor of Southampton FC on: July 27, 2021, 07:40:45 PM
name for this derby...the blockchain derby? crypto derby? lame af, i know : P

Yours are alright i guess, i also tried but mine turned out super corny: «The Hash Clash», «El Lambo», «Derby del Satoshis», «The Honey Badger Derby»  Cheesy

When you consider this will be their first-ever meeting on the football pitch, you can hardly call it a derby, but hey, why not have fun...

well, i'm expecting good promos on match day!

The good ol' jersey promos would most definitely work for me...this though is x100 better!

I've also heard that the Southampton players will be given each, in the event of a win, 100mtbc free bets, 100 free spins on Shamrock Holmes Megaways, and 50 free chips for Live Roulette. Grin

Imagine if professional football players were getting their bonuses in the form of free spins and stuff? lol

I like these ^^^ The Hash Clash leading for me atm, 2nd El Lambo..

Anymore?

EPL- First clash of these teams >>>

Southampton (Sportsbet.io) vs Watford (Stake.com)
I feel like Crypto Derby is elegant, smooth, no jokes in it and something serious. However let's face it, teams are not top of their league teams, this is not some City vs LFC type of deal, this is basically just a simple two teams which are at best middle table finish teams so something elegant and serious may not work. I think Hash Clash is quite good, it does give that wave of both funny but also related to crypto at the same time.

I would say maybe crypto derby is still not that bad when it comes to funny stuff as well, it has a good ring to it, but hash clash is still a lot funnier, we need to check the whole glossary and see what terminology in the crypto world could make sense, like ASIC derby doesn't make sense since it is miners so that's removed, and you go removing one by one like that and find the good ones but it looks like hash clash won't be beaten anytime soon.
2405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 27, 2021, 05:58:08 PM
Why does he have to be bored? As you said Barca is one of the top clubs globally, a dream for almost all the kids that play football to be there as players. He was there from the start of his career, he became one of the two top players and he is been treated like a king. For sure to chase new challenges is something that a lot of people want and gives them a boost to continue but that's not necessary or sure.
I don't know what are his plans for the future but to be a coach doesn't have to be in many teams as a player. In fact, you may be a coach without being a player. Grin
If the guy is bored, it would not have anything to do with a club. Some football player have been know to just stop liking the sport after they made enough millions. I do remember an old case, Romario, that used to play for Real Madrid, and after a few seasons he stopped training at the highest level, kept on playing footvolley with his friend at the beach and was obviously overeating to the point in he could no longer be considered an elite player. Yet that is absolutely normal... they earn so much that they no longer give a s*th about it.

If Messi were one of those player, we would have already known about it.
That is not the case for many others though, look at Ronaldo, dude is older and he still takes care of his body insanely, dude has better body than almost all the 20 year old players you can find, he is really training at the maximum capacity for each season and he can still do a lot more than anyone else on the pitch when he plays as well even though he is aging rapidly.

I understand that there will be a day when even Ronaldo can't beat father time and that is why he will have to retire but he is at least not giving up until the last moment, giving up is not something that should be praised, it should be something shamed. Messi is not like that neither, dude is still a great player and I am sure he will keep playing at a very good level even if he ends up with another team, he doesn't seem to be gaining weight and stop caring, he just didn't sign a contract but he also won the cup as well, so he is still quite good.
2406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your thoughts for half year on: July 27, 2021, 04:47:14 PM
I am glad the 30k level is still strong, it is true that we went down below it for a time but this is natural, what impressed me was the reaction of the markets since we are at 34k now, so not only the market recovered it also went up significantly and it put some distance from the 30k resistance level, this tells me we are in an accumulation period, the whales do not want the market to drop that much but they do not want it to skyrocket so they are buying coins slowly, and once they are ready they will look for any excuse to pump the market.
Even on accumulation periods whales do not mind small drops, I do not mean tiny drops like we had, I mean small, like for example dropping to under 25k but staying over 20k because we are accumulating and whales are doing the same so it is not really a big problem. However what I do believe is that since we went up so much, this is a good recovery level, not a bull just yet but it is definitely getting there, if we reach over to 40k we could say that it was a small bull run.

Remember not all bull runs are from 10k to 60k type of runs, some of the bull runs are just 28k to 40k because that is a good amount of increase as well and we should be happy with those kinds of increases as well as what we have right now. I personally do believe that we should be focusing a bit more on the happy side of things right now and call this a small bull just to others, even though it is not bull yet, it has the potential for it.
2407  Other / Archival / Re: Newbie mistakes when trying to increase the deposit on: July 27, 2021, 03:38:43 PM
I read where Op wrote about margin trading and that is not good for newbie in trading, it is not only for newbies but I read also that experienced traders complaining about difficulty in that. It is a difficult thing to follow and is a part of the few difficulty experiencing in trading. It is giving hard time to understand for learners
As mentioned in OP, there is just no place for newbies in margin trading or futures but experienced traders can actually benefit from it. In fact, if you just think about it, all these newbie traders who lose money in trading, who are they losing it to? The experienced traders basically or the whales who are simply manipulating the market.

I have always been in favor of trading small but trade with what you have because margin, futures are just different forms of borrowing money and for some reason I just don't feel right about trading with someone else's money.

Maybe if you have found a hole in the trading process like arbitrage trading then it's worth it.
2408  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Small capital and Big capital on: July 27, 2021, 02:34:34 PM
Well the point depends on our level of mastery of trading, the more we master things related to trading more deeply.. it will make it easier to take steps when small capital let alone large capital.
And sometimes because of limited money, it doesn't harm if we take steps with small capital, this can still make a profit, we don't have to force ourselves to have big capital, the important thing is that we can keep learning and observe more deeply related to the steps as well as strategies as good traders.
Yeah, more importantly we must work with what we have on our hands. Dreaming about a big capital even if it is advantageous in trading isn't going to get you a big capital, working towards it with what you have is what will help you achieve it.

Adaptability is one of the most important attributes for a trader and the one who adapts with what he has and works towards what he needs will go the farthest. Daydreaming about a bigger capital and avoiding trading with what we already have is sort of the worst mentality and attitude a trade can have. This mentality is more attributed to gamblers than traders.
2409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It takes years to build a reputation and seconds to break it on: July 25, 2021, 06:42:13 PM
Warren Buffet once said "we could afford to lose some money, we are rich enough for that, but we can't lose a shred of reputation, I rather lose billions a year before I lose a shred of reputation" and I feel like that is as true back then as it is right now.

It works for casinos, it works for any other business as well, for example I do not use amazon at all, even if it is cheaper there, I ended up paying something 3.6k instead of 2.5k because 2.5k was on amazon and 3.6k was somewhere else, yes that is right I paid over 1k more for something and that is not a small amount just because I do not deal with amazon at all, sure there are still so many people that use amazon but there will be less and less people who buy from amazon the more they keep being horrible. So it is not just about gambling, it works in every business in the world and if they lose reputation, that is the end of it, it is nearly impossible to recover from that.
2410  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥BETFURY OLYMPIC GAMES for $150 000🔥 NFT Battles |⚡️Free BTC+BNB| on: July 25, 2021, 05:32:55 PM
Betfury is doing very well and I think it's the best crypto casino out there, but they have to acquire the real gamblers and this is only possible by adding Providers like Playngo, Relax, NoLimit, etc.. I don't understand, why they integrate providers like "Mascot" instead of the major ones.
And they have to update their slots from existing providers way more frequently. Real gamblers want to play the new release from day one.
I really do believe that there is a logical explanation why they are focusing on the marketing of the token and not the casino for the past month or two, because that was a huge deal for the casino and they wanted that to be known more than anything else. However, I also believe that they now changed it, look at how Olympic games and NFT battles and all that so they are actually doing something that is looking like a good snack bonus, I actually like it.

What they need to do with whales is that they need to give them a lot, like give them a TON OF stuff, because all the other big places do that, I am not a big whale appreciating person, I think they already get too much from everywhere else, so I would prefer it if there were nothing excessive for them here, but if betfury really wants them here then they will have to provide something eventually.
2411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT is an interesting space on: July 25, 2021, 04:09:56 AM
The most interesting concept of NFT at the moment is in the traditional gaming industry, all the characters, items, skins, equipments and skills you own in one game can only be used within that game itself.
But with NFT, all these collections that you have could potentially be transferable and usable in other games as well. One significant difference is the money you spent in one game will not go to waste, while the other risk that are taken off is if the game developers does not want to support the game anymore, your collections can still be used in other games.

At the moment, gaming is the largest potential for NFT, but lets not exclude any possibilities of it being used in other industries.
I have to say this gaming thing that is going on with NFT is getting very weird, it is getting to a place where I really didn't expect. I do not mean weird in a bad way, it is definitely in a good way but I am feeling uncomfortable with it, why? Because normally gaming is something I do a lot, I love playing games so much that it even had caused some problems with my wife time to time Cheesy.

And I have been in crypto space for so long that I have been working full-time in crypto for maybe 5 years now on-off and a bit over 3 years for straight up, and when you combine those two things in an NFT gaming world I should be super hyped and playing it all the time right? Well, that is the problem, I keep finding it a bit too confusing and I am rarely ever good at it and I feel like I am not putting up enough money into it neither so I end up not being that great at it and this really saddens me a lot, I wish I was very good at them but I unfortunately am not.
2412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much of your total capital is in crypto? on: July 24, 2021, 05:36:16 PM
Have you ever calculated how much of your total capital is in cryptocurrency?

In my case, i have 60% of my money in bank accounts, 20% in stock market, 5% in cash and only 15% in crypto.
I have about 60% of my capital in the bank and about 10% in cryptocurrency. Then the rest goes to other investments such as bonds and stocks. I also try to hold currencies that are different from country’s currency, as a way to hedge against our currency when it’s getting bad. I hold a little portion as USD. It’s always good to diversify and keep proper records. It’s really helpful and you’re going to be benefiting from it. The ten percent I have in cryptocurrency is a good amount actually, and I’m okay with it. I can’t go all in cryptocurrency, knowing very well that it is a volatile asset.
2413  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why newbies lose huge money in trading on: July 24, 2021, 04:22:14 PM
can be concluded in your thread if the beginner is greedy and wants to get rich quick. because in trading there is a lot that needs to be learned and there are lots of techniques and strategies that must be understood before entering the world of trading. so maybe beginners can apply this so that in the future they don't get caught up in big money losses
I personally don't think having the psychology of earning quick money is a problem, especially in crypto trading because that's why we all are here, else for slow and methodological trading we already have the stocks market. The real problem lies in the attitude because people spend almost no time in learning about the things they are investing in and what is happening around the crypto globe.

There are many incidents where people force themselves to seek capital for crypto trading. many of them use borrowed money, so that when they trade they have a heavier burden, on the other hand a lack of knowledge about trading makes people tend to gamble, so many are not able to last long in the market
Trading with borrowed funds is a disaster and I am not just saying it but I have experienced it. You will be always under additional pressure and that forces out unforced errors. It's better to trade small but do it with your own funds and if possible, spare funds.
2414  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is point of Tehnical analysis? on: July 24, 2021, 02:51:17 AM
The biggest example of this happened in November of 2018, in that month for a whole week TA looked like the price would skyrocket, it was around 6.5k and people were estimating at minimum 13k and probably then some, probably capped at 18k because the resistance was way too huge to break there, so there was a chance of 13 to 18, what happened? The price crashed to 3.5k because Craig Wright sold thousands of bitcoins all at once. This is why TA is not always safe in crypto world, something unexpected to happen is something expected here.
Well explained, really. That's why we must have the ability to perform a fundamental analysis along with technical because although technical analysis gives you a rough idea in which way the market shall move, given nothing unexpected happens, the fundamental analysis gives you the confidence in your investment and the power to avoid panicking when the market crashes with uncertain events.

technical analysis is very useful in fact it is not suitable if the technical analysis fails simply because it does not match the movement of the coin. So, the failure is purely due to market conditions that affect the coin price not our analytical technique
No matter how well you analyzed something, as long as there are manipulators and the market is decentralized, there is literally nothing much you can do to avoid unexpected outcomes.
2415  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to profit from crypto arbitrage trading on: July 23, 2021, 08:34:50 PM
supposedly trading with arbitrage strategies can make crypto asset prices the same across markets and platforms.  But in practice, there are several challenges that must be faced, such as liquidity, capital control, costs, and price volatility.  However, at least we can sort out crypto assets that differ a little further from one market to another.
There are lots of problems with arbitrage trading actually.

The withdrawal & deposit fees may take away all the profits you would have with the trade because arbitrage trading doesn't give you a massive amount of profit.

The platforms you are using for arbitrage trading may have some problems and hence the price is low. I mean some small exchanges often stop withdrawals for a particular coin which may be the reason behind the discrepancy in the prices.

There are lots of other problems which we cannot realize unless we do it ourselves.
2416  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetJA.com | The highest Payout + Free BTC + Multi-Bet Insurance on: July 23, 2021, 01:45:54 PM
What does your Multi Bet Insurance exactly mean? Is it what I think of insurance are, like some kind of compensation for betting a lot of times or I won't be losing a lot of money when I do a multi bet.
It's actually quite similar to the one at Sportsbet, you need to place a multi-bet with 5 legs and the minimum odds for each leg have to be 1.5 (decimal odds) and if your bet is lost just because of one leg then you get a refund. I like the promotion because from what I understand, they are not giving free bet, instead offering a direct refund which is way better of course because, with the free bet, only the winnings are credited.

I might try the website soon once I read the terms and conditions around the KYC because it has been a serious problem recently with almost all the sportsbooks and even some casinos.
2417  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you aren't reading you shouldn't be trading on: July 23, 2021, 11:39:35 AM
Absoultely right, because smart trading has 100% depends on research. One should know about the coins and get their analysis through reading in different websites and search for it. To get to the coin actual price then only he can get a profit.
The actual problem is the "money-making mentality" actually. I mean even before we start trading we are thinking and calculating our profits which is quite a wrong way of looking at trading. During the first time, we are trading and even for first few months, the focus must be on learning as much as possible because there are countless tools in trading to learn about and even if we know a lot of them, there is no harm in learning about more such tools.

Once you pick some potential coins, you must determine the capabilities of it before you're going to entrust your future profit with it. Trading is all about emotions, in order to become successful you should learn everything from scratch.
I mean we can trade without knowledge and information about the project but it's more like betting than actually trading.
2418  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not a Game . on: July 23, 2021, 10:48:53 AM
Trading without enough knowledge at least about the basics is like fighting a battle without any weapon, you'll surely lose. Trading is a long process of learning since it has a huge risk because of the market's volatility. What we need to learn is how to deal with the market. It's better to trade when we're fully prepared emotionally and if we're knowledgeable about what we're doing.
That's a really nice comparison actually. One who enters the battlefield without prior planning and proper tools will most likely fall flat. Similarly, newbies who start trading right away without actually gathering the required data and knowledge will most likely lose in trading.

Some people might say that making mistakes is the right way of learning in trading but honestly, how long can you pay for your mistakes? It is better to avoid common mistakes just by learning enough about the crypto market.

Although things like controlling greed and panic will only come from experiences.
2419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why the hate on binance exchange on: July 23, 2021, 09:10:21 AM
Is there any tangible reason why binance exchange is been hunted? It seems they just hate success or what? Anyways no matter what they try CZ is a determined fellow, that's why binance made it this far, it's my best exchange and won't be changing any time soon
If by hunting you mean governments cracking them down then the reason is quite obvious. They don't want people going for full shadow banking and hiding their taxable money. And binance operating from some undisclosed location doesn't really help their reputation in the eyes of regulator.
Why though? Why are they cracking down on the shadow banking and people who have crypto avoiding taxes? I may understand the logic if it was like that everywhere, after all we are talking about people avoiding taxes and yeah we should be cracking down on that, but that "should" is the key word for that.

They are not doing that for everyone they should, they are literally letting wealthy people avoid taxes as much as possible, look at Amazon, they literally paid zero federal taxes, then Jeff got 10 billion dollars GIFTED by government for space work, and then bought James bond series for 10 billion dollars the very next day, so he did have the money for it but it was still tax payers money going into his pocket for free why not do it? Long story short there is a good amount of hatred towards them all founded on good reasons and for some reason we are hunted like witches while they are let go.
2420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't panic on: July 23, 2021, 07:14:08 AM
Why do people lose money in crypto? the number one reason is panic, they tend to be controlled by emotion, for newbies never ever just bought something you really know nothing about, that's one of the rule, research is needed, your money is important so don't waste it with wrong decisions, if you decided to what coin to buy, don't sell with small movement crypto is volatile, make some target for losses and earning.
More than emotions, I think it has to do with the financial freedom and pressure one suffers during these market crashes. It's not easy to accumulate some funds even when others told you that crypto trading is deceptive and some even called it a scam and you listened to none of them but then see the market collapse.

It's similar to how gamblers will take loans, gamble and if they lose they get desperate about gambling and will lose even more in frustration and rage.

I am not comparing traders and gamblers but the situation is very similar, you just need a calm head on your shoulders and see what's the best move next and follow it.
