2401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite way to receive money as a gift? Cash or digital.. on: October 25, 2019, 11:18:38 AM
i would say cash for now because most of the people i know that i have something to do with are not into crypto, only few are in crypto so any gift i receive interms of money from the non crypto peeps will most definitely be on cash, but if am the one sending to my friends who i know are into crypto and understand it, i would rather send using digital currency because it will save me the trouble of converting to fiat before sending.

2403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do not be deceived by inexperienced bounty hunters on: October 24, 2019, 10:38:46 AM
Almost everyone in this workspace think they can manage everything. Useless inexperienced people take role as a bounty manager and they fail everytime. Please, if you cannot handle those stuff, do not do. Money is not everything. I have seen tons of projects with shitty bounty managers, they lost reputation because of them.

Even the project who engage the service of this inexperience bm are to blame, if a project is reputable and cares about this, will try as much as possible to have a reputable bm run their campaign for them, but since most campaigns don't really consider this aspect as important or necessary or rather to stingy to hire a good reputable bm they will settle for less, this inexperience bm will do a very poor job, making things difficult for hunters in the process, can also discourage good hunters to join campaign and promote the project.
2404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: your patience is being tested on: October 24, 2019, 08:19:38 AM
The bear market is truly a test of patience of the crypto community in general, both those who have been in crypto for years and those who are just joining the space are being tested during this period, some are able to weather the storm while others just give up and left in search for something new,
sometimes during this period you are tempted to sell because the market keep depreciating in price and your invest just going down the whole, but is selling at loss the solution? No, i don't encourage selling especially when the team are always working hard to keep the project development going, am still hodling my alts despite the price has reduce alot compare to when i bought them, i believe the market will regain and i will recover my investment and profit as well.
2405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Projects and Bounty . Way forward?? on: October 24, 2019, 08:03:32 AM
Both scam projects and scam hunters are to blame for this... bounty hunters should demand more assurances like for example escrow budget, or KYC from the team when they require ours, etc...
and projects should have good bounty managers that take care of all those people playing bounty that do a very bad job
Both need to evolve in order for things to get better
Nowadays, I am checking the projects so much that I end up not participating in lmost anything... but it is better than be scammed in a lot of projects

How can that be? even though many hunters would have love to require the bounty pool to be escrow it still doesn't make any difference, what is the essence of an escrow on a worthless token? if the project owners run away with the little amount they generated and left the project unattended to, refuse to list the tokens in any exchange, of what benefit is the token to you even if the token where escrow?

Escrow can only be required when the payment is in btc or eth, if not it is a waste of time demanding escrow when the payment will be paid with the project tokens, i doubt if your current campaign pool is on escrow but you still participate anyways, so there is little anyone can do to fight scam, you can always do due diligent but sometimes it still not enough, it is a very difficult situation now.
2406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people easily get scammed on the internet? on: October 23, 2019, 09:14:01 AM
You have said it all, there is little or nothing to add after that Grin, the reason why people get scammed so easily both online or offline (yes people get scammed offline too) is because of lack of understanding and most especially greed, if you let yourself carried away by the enticing offers given by this con-artist then you will be scammed even before you know it,

when people don't have the right knowledge to detect lies from truth is another issue, some people are so naive that they will believe anything they hear or see without asking question or doing small digging to know more, scammers are very creative and smart so it requires more knowledge and observation to identify them,
people should equip their self with the right knowledge to stay safe,   Knowledge they say is power.
2407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Projects and Bounty . Way forward?? on: October 23, 2019, 03:26:47 AM
So far this year , a lot of scams have occurred in the crypto sphere ranging from projects scamming investors and as well as projects not paying hunters for their works.

What do you think can be done to counter this ill manner behaviors that has been painting cryptocurency bad?

It would have really been awesome if there is a perfect way to identify scam projects. But for now, there is no way possible to know which project will pay or not or which investment will really worth it. But this should not be a reason for investors to be discouraged. Even in life, we are faced with several challenges, yet we move on. Cryptocurrency shouldnt be an exception. So, I will advice investors to invest wisely and not be discouraged by a past challenge of falling into the hands of scammers. Regardless of how many scam projects out there, there are still very good projects that worth the time, resource and energy anyone can put into it.

It is not just a question of which project will pay, it is more about which project is honest and genuine, if a project is honest and genuine even if it takes time to achieve a result is more better than having a dishonest project that will give false hope to investors just to take advantage of them.
Probably majority are viewing success from a short term perspective hence the reason why the zeal to invest is low, this is no longer 2017 where the market was very bullish,  this time, real hardwork and dedication on the part of the team is required to keep project alive, also a use case that will give value to the token, otherwise the price will not increase, and to achieve these goals will take time which many people are not willing to give,
If you are looking for a get rich quick kind of project, you may likely fall into the wrong hands.
2408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can i trust new IEO on the new exchange? on: October 23, 2019, 03:07:23 AM
New exchange have not had the reputation achievement of the old exchange so it is not wise to put your money in there, although it doesn't mean the new exchanges are bad, but give it time to build a reputation, earn the trust of many before taking any decision concerning investing,
besides, old or existing exchanges have the capacity to promote ieo to a large number of users more than new exchanges,
The number of users in binance, bittrex, houbi, hitbtc,..... can not be compare to any new exchange, old exchange has a better advantage.
2409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO projects with very good rating on: October 22, 2019, 12:49:13 PM
To me rating don't really matter too much especially coming from this rating sites, i don't know how authentic their ratings are, if they are influence in any way no one can tell, some project with high ratings don't perform according to expectations, some even turned out to be scam even after the rating, so it is not very wise to base investment choice on the ratings from this sites, you might get disappointed, best bet is to conduct several research if you can to determine the legitimacy of the project or just go with your gut feelings.
2410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Old good airdrops on: October 22, 2019, 12:05:37 PM
Airdrop and bounties are born from the same source, it is the same project that are hosting bounty campaigns that are making airdrop to people, so if airdrops are no longer worth anything is because the projects hosting both airdrop and bounty are not worth it anymore, when a renown project that is considered legit decided to host an airdrop there will be some value attached to the airdrop token because the project is genuine and legit, so it all depends on the kind of project we have in the market today.

Maybe subject project owners to proper vetting before running any project, some sort of kyc for teams as well, not just investors or bounty hunters alone should be subjected to this process,
as a result of easy access to creating a project is the main reason we have too many scammers in this ecosystem, no regulation, no control, and since this is totally the opposite of what blockchain represent i guess we will just have to deal with it,
the only way to subdue this menace is through control or regulations but how many people wants to have regulations or control in crypto?
2412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can make more profit ? on: October 21, 2019, 11:11:00 AM
Depending on exchange where this IEO is taking place. If an IEO is held on Latoken, Probit, Exmarkets or other shitty exchanges,  it is much better to wait until exchange listing to get tokens with good discount. But if we are talking about Binance, Huobi or Okex IEOs, you should definitely take part in sales.

Yeah, big exchange like binance are giving better returns to investors through their ieo's, they have large number of participants to buy and make ieo very successful, but in a way the similarity with ico's is not too apart, because once those ieo's tokens get pumped to some point the price will dump so hard, if you are not careful you could get stock and loss a lot of money,
So aside from the security aspect ieo's are not very different from ico's except they are well organize by exchange for a quick pump and dump from my personal observation.
2413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would ICO scene succeed if it was organized like crowdfunding not investing? on: October 21, 2019, 10:29:55 AM
I have never come across any ico that promise any crazy gains openly to investors, I don't know where you get that notion from, this grazy ideas was born from the experience of 2017,

Even if it was not openly mentioned, it was surely a background of 2017/2018 - crazy bitcoin gains, crazy altcoin gains. You want  to tell me it was not a factor when people invested?
ico's where successful because people invested in them willingly without being on any pressure, I bet most project owners back then where not expecting to see such financial support, some couldn't handle it and got greedy, others try to make meaning out of their's,
no pressure? what about FOMO? you get one time life chance to get rich - is that not a pressure? From whole society, sometimes even family that expects you to succeed no matter what? That's enormous pressure right there, and you get a chance to be rich by investing in next bitcoin early. No pressure?? Huge pressure.

Yes, not North Korea type of pressure with gun pointed at your hand and someone telling you to invest, but also very very strong pressure.

Majority of projects turned out to be unsuccessful because there are no genuineness behind them, the teams saw unexpected money that they have no clue what to do with it, well except to squander  Grin

The truth is everybody wants to give and get something in return, nobody will be give away money for what they won't get any back, if people are fed up with ico's because of lack of grazy gains - in your words - what makes you think they will be interested in given away money without caring what they do with it, you are still enriching the project owners nevertheless.

Probably there has to be some kind of reward promised, but not as high as it was. Even if it was not promised directly, I'm pretty sure 90%+ of investors hoped to get crazy rich.

Yes it was a factor but you should know that this does not just apply to investment in crypto only, anything that carries a lot of attention and hype normally attract people, lots of people where attracted to investing because of what they saw, but no project promise to anyone any grazy gains after investing, people just assume about it.

FOMO is base on choice, if you let it be a pressure to you is entirely up to you, it is nothing similar to the other kind of pressure where you are not left with any choice, so tell me where is the pressure there? just human greed to make more profit can't exactly be regarded as pressure, Nobody will ever push you to invest what you can't afford, people taking high risk investment is their personal choice, no pressure from the project owners or from the crypto community whatsoever.
2414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stupid mistake newbies still do till date on: October 20, 2019, 07:04:50 PM
Quit underestimating wallets and figure out how your wallets works either its ETH erc20 based wallets or multi walllets, you lose your private keys or recovery seeds you lose your coins and tokens,I was in a gathering on message when somebody posted his private key guaranteeing he didn't get an airdrop tokens,I wonder what may have transpired as of now,its like some still don't have the foggiest idea how genuine there wallets recovery seeds and private keys are, quit playing with wallet private keys and take them more serious like you doing with your bank account.

Since some can hardly tell the difference between private and public key such common mistakes are bound to happen, the overwhelming of receiving a few worthless tokens distract the ability to think properly,  why posting priv key just to prove a point when he/she can provide the public key for scan, I can only imagine what must have transpired after such silly mistake.

2416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Camouflage bounty manager? on: October 19, 2019, 11:52:36 AM
I think this camouflage has been arranged by their own team and it's been a long time (i've aware it). this one of the reason why many projects do not dare to hire a professional bounty manager.

Yeah that explains it, we have good reputable bounty managers in this forum that will do a very good job if hired but some project would rather go for a newbie to handle their project, since this are the kind of bm that can easily manipulate they rather go for them than hire a reputable manager, this is what most project do this days.
2417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the Ton, one of the biggest project ! on: October 19, 2019, 11:37:16 AM
The TON has now disappointed many investors. I have heard talk that they themselves have contributed to the commencement of proceedings against them. They did this because they do not have time with the development of their blockchain and testing its security.
TON just faced with temporary difficulties that they would solve in the coming months. I am not an investor of this project, but I understand that this is a very serious project

The must be doing everything possible to clarify things with the sec as soon as they can, the number of investors on this project is much and they can't afford to let such number of people down, I think they are the only project to raise such amount since bear market, too much anticipation on it, I am also looking forward to seeing the outcome,
I am hoping to buy some GRAM when hit the exchange when the price is low.

Jinbi team are not ready to pay, everyone can accept and move.
2419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To bounty hunters & investors on: October 18, 2019, 08:31:20 PM
For Bounty Hunters
Even if i advice you not to give up on doing researches on every proje ts before promoting them this doesn't mean they wont scam you or waste your precious time BUT still the only question you need to ask is, Are there bounties that pays hunter good rewards this year? YES they are very few and good projects take time, Do not expect good projects every months cos its impossible

For Investors
ICO and STO are no go side, stay away from them because they are almost all red flags, IEO is here for you and all you have to do is go to binance for any new upcoming IEO fund raising, you will get positive results

So you are saying any ieo not held on binance is not worth investing on or paying attention to? I sincerely don't think so, binance is not the only exchange that have had successful ieo, besides not everyone can meet the requirement of binance to participate in their lunchpad,

And may I ask what's so wrong about sto that you think people should stay away from? I get ico already soiled their reputation but sto still have a chance in the market,  note that ieo are not far from imperfection.
2420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Camouflage bounty manager? on: October 18, 2019, 07:50:26 PM
Well some managers has a questionable behavior  towards the bounty they manage to the point that you can't help but wonder what exactly is the reason why they behave the way they do, i have seen a bm defending a project he/she manage so hard like he is part of the team, because the participants where complaining about the payment procedure and the sudden dump in price even though bounty rewards are yet to be fully distributed, he took every question ask so personal, and that makes me wonder Undecided.
