2401  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who here has opened a Gemini account? POLL ADDED on: October 29, 2015, 11:21:54 AM
Not looked at Gemini and if it is just for the US only then it's not for me.
2402  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-10-28]Bitcoin Price Breaks the $300 Mark! Will it Keep on Rising? on: October 28, 2015, 06:13:36 PM
There are so many things going on, lots of retailers are starting to accept bitcoin and lots of others are talking about the blockchain technology, there is the halving coming up also.  I don't think one thing can take credit for the inceease but whatever is causing it is okay by me.
2403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash presence on the Bitcointalk forum on: October 28, 2015, 06:07:02 PM
Why not.  It is an altcoin and as such is allowed to be spoken about as long as it is in the relevant section.
2404  Economy / Digital goods / Re: FREE eBook Today Only at Amazon - Bitcoin, Digital Money Explained on: October 28, 2015, 06:03:55 PM
Thanks, will get a copy and pass it to a few people hopefully it will explain it to them as they don't appear to be too excited when I have tried.
2405  Economy / Gambling / Re: What comes to mind when you hear the word ‘gambling’? on: October 28, 2015, 12:52:49 PM
What comes to mind is big potential to lose and also win, there are many people that have lost everything because of the search for that big win.  I'm sure you've heard it here before but only gamble what you are happy / prepared to lose.
2406  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaigns - the truth on: October 28, 2015, 12:51:42 PM
I would say it does work, myself I have clicked through a few out of curiosity to see what they are all about.  It creates awareness for sure.
2407  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Breaks 300; Now What? on: October 28, 2015, 12:49:06 PM
Maybe a little Christmas bonus up to $500, at least it is moving up and not in the opposite direction, guess it's just a waiting game and see what happens.
2408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS STILL FAMOUS on: October 28, 2015, 12:46:32 PM
Think BTC is still gaining momentum, the blockchain is being adopted and thought about by some of the large banks and company so there will be a knock-on effect of bitcoin being talked about more and more and in turn should be picked up by a lot more people.

2409  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet.com - bitcoin sportsbook and casino | high stakes LIVE NFL and NCAA on: October 23, 2015, 10:00:27 PM
Looks like they are doing some upgrades, will be back online around 1am GMT.
2410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BIG EVENT] BITCOIN IS NOW A LEGAL PAYMENT METHOD AND A CURRENCY IN THE EU !!!!! on: October 23, 2015, 01:25:13 PM
One step closer to people taking it seriously and reaching the massive, this indeed is fantastic news!
2411  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sweden to Become World’s First Cashless Country on: October 23, 2015, 07:42:16 AM
Many will think this is a good thing but I'm in two minds about a cashless society.

No more privacy, each and every little transaction recorded in your banks database. No backup for those times when the power is out etc....

I still prefer cold hard cash in many situations thank you.

Eventually we will all live in a cashless society, as soon as online banking became a thing and the ability to pay using your bank card became the thing to do we entered into the beginnings of a cashless society.

It is as you say one step closer to a big brother 1984 type deal but even cash is not safe if it at some point it is deemed worthless.
Bitcoin at least is a start to another means, another way to exist outside of the control of any one body, the only way it will fail is if they switch the internet off in which case would probably mean we have been hit by a solar flare from the sun and the power grid has been wiped out Smiley
2412  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: did i just read that EU made BTC tax free EU-wide ? on: October 23, 2015, 07:31:07 AM
Yeah it means that there is no value added tax put upon purchases which is pretty good, good news but not amazing enough I suppose to be hitting the headlines.
2413  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many tickets did you buy for this plane? on: October 22, 2015, 05:09:10 PM

How many tickets (BTC) have you managed to buy before the plane takes off? For how long have you been collecting tickets? For how long are you going to ride this plane before jumping on parachute? And what if you jump but the plane keeps going up and up until it goes to the moon?
Today was a great day, we hit 280. The price has corrected, but it's back to 274 and climbing. Can't wait to see what happens in the next 2 months.

Prepare for 600 $ before new year
You just never know, just before Christmas.  I wonder at what point will we see kids sending a letter to Santa asking for a BTC
2414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest secret of bitcoin on: October 22, 2015, 05:02:07 PM
Think maybe you are talking about altcoins which you can set a coin supply at any level you wish.  As everyone has said bitcoin is 21 and pretty sure if it wasn't this would have been flagged up a long time ago.
2415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uk Blockchain Bank on: October 22, 2015, 11:49:52 AM
They will still be taking fees and the whole offline transactions to be merged at a later date sounds like it will open to a whole load of abuse.  Can't blame him for thinking like a bank as that's where he came from but i don't see this really taking off.
2416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEWS: Engineer from Twitter/Periscope says she is big fan of bitcoin online on: October 21, 2015, 07:49:47 PM
Tipping would make the most sense and would be easiest to impliment?
2417  Economy / Economics / Re: IBM working with US Federal banks to develop digital currency on: October 21, 2015, 05:48:11 PM
Blockchain is only good for the banks to save and streamline their operations, they may create their own currency but as many others have said these attempts will ultimately fail.  They are trying really hard to separate the blockchain from Bitcoin, Bitcoin is where it's at and where it will be at in the coming years.
2418  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: RaiseBits.cc - 210% AFTER 20 DAYS (Automatic daily payouts.) on: October 21, 2015, 12:28:01 PM

2419  Economy / Gambling / Re: Horse Racing? on: October 21, 2015, 12:16:38 PM
Any bitcoin sites have daily horse racing bets.........like The California or New York tracks?

here is directbet https://www.directbet.eu/Events.cshtml?EventType=Horse%20Racing , i see everyday there is a racing horse event. not sure i want to try bet on it anymore, too risky bet on horse racing and i already made a streak lost pick on lowest odds and i'm on red line now. GL!

I have been looking for horse racing also but in the UK there are many restrictions, sites need to obtain a license and there are non that offer horse racing, UK horse racing anyway.
