Pakistan is in full control of the match. They bowled really well and restricted Newzealand to just 152 runs. Both opening pairs are going good and have already chased 64 runs. I am pretty confident that they will win unless their is a rain delay. Both Rizwan and Babar are competing with each other. This is a good sign for Pakistan when they play in the finals.

The unpredictability of Pakistan team makes them dangerous in today's match. Although Pakistan had a bad start in this world cup but the team came back and performed exceptionally well against South Africa and Bangladesh. The surface of SCG would be batting friendly and the team winning the toss should bat first. Not much will be offered for the pacers on this pitch but spinners might be able to get something from it. Rain is expected in the second session of the match so it will be wiser to bat first if you win the toss.  

Considering that before the world cup Pakistan defeated Newzealand in the final match of tri nation series in Newzealand the odds for today's match look awkward. As usual Pakistan is a unpredictable team and in the last two matches they have played exceptionally well. Newzealand have been consistent with their game throughout the tournament but have been struggling with their batting. They have the best bowlers for these kind of pitches who have the ability to change the game.

It is very hard to predict this match but I feel the odds for today's match should have been same or a slightly different for both the teams.

After the match between Pakistan and Bangladesh I think Pakistan bowling is far better than Newzealand. Pakistan star bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi was bowling far better than what he bowled earlier in the tournament. Newzealand batters do struggle playing the spinners and Pakistan spinners have proven that they can not only get wickets but can also control the run rate. Pakistan opening pair are a concern but their middle order has started contributing to the total score. In all the first semifinal game would be full excitement and upset.

The odds look interesting! Pakistan is a unpredictable team and anything can happen when they play against Newzealand. On paper England is a better team with good depth in batting and they also have one of the fastest bowler in this T20WC. They can beat India in the semifinals. If India bats first on that day then this match might tilt towards the Indian side.

India vs Pakistan is different game all together. It is a battle of nerves and pressure. Both team have the potential to win the cup. India has got the best batting depth and Pakistan has got the best bowlers. Yesterday's match between Pakistan & Bangladesh shows that Shaheen Afridi is back to his best. I am hoping these two teams play the finals.

India's semifinal berth was confirmed as soon as South Africa lost to Netherlands. India VS Zimbabwe was never a win win situation for India. They were the number one ranked side after South Africa lost in their group. They became second after Pakistan defeated Bangladesh. If India has lost today to Zimbabwe they would have still qualified.

By the way for few hours Pakistan was the top team in group 2. I am sure almost every Pakistani fan never thought that their team would have qualified for the semifinals in this world cup. I am sure this time the finals would be played between Indian and Pakistan and every cricket fan would enjoy it. 

In the end Pakistan wins and qualifies for the semifinals. They dominated the match from the first ball. Now they will play against Newzealand and India will play against England. If both Pakistan and India win the semifinals then we will see both of them playing against each other in this world cup finals.

If Pakistan wins today then they will rank up to the second spot in group 2 and will also qualify for the semifinals. The semifinals will be played between group 1 top team with group 2 second ranked team & vice versa. The probability of both India & Pakistan playing against each in this T20WC finals is now preety good. All now depends on the Pakistan team. If they lose against Bangladesh then they will not qualify but Bangladesh will. It is a must win match for Pakistan and the same applies for Bangladesh.

What just happened? Another big upset in T20WC! I never expected South Africa to lose to Netherlands. Pakistan has a good chance of getting into the semifinals now. All they need to do is to defeat Bangladesh today and they will rank up to number 2 on the point table. If India loses to Zimbabwe today then they will still qualify for the semifinals. Now their is a tiny probability of these two biggest rivals to play the final of the T20WC

Looking at the odds for today's match South Africa @1.05 & Netherlands @10.50, those who placed their bets on the Dutch have been rewarded royally.

LOL! I was expecting Srilankan batters to set a target of 180+ when I saw the opening pair going after the bowlers. Pathum Nissanka suddenly started hammering the bowlers and all credits to him Srilanka had a great advantage in the early overs.

They never utilised it and in the death overs they got destroyed by the English bowling. I somehow was expecting the Srilankan batters to die down in the middle to lower batting order as it has been proved in this world cup. I somehow was expecting another big upset but the English side was too good. 

Another world cup match that was exactly predicted by Sportsbet.io. Till now they have been spoton on predicting the games with their odds. The odd's today were Sri Lanka @4.10
England @1.24 and in the end the English side won.

After today's win England and Newzealand are into the semifinals. What is now left is to decide the other two teams for semifinals. Tomorrow if India win against Zimbabwe then they will go through. If Pakistan defeats Bangladesh then they still will be out of this word cup as I don't think SA will get defeated by NL.

Newzealand are into the semifinals of this T20WC and as of my understanding South Africa willl get through. The problem here was for Australia and according to the NRR they have -0.173 that means they will not qualify considering the NRR of England which is + 0.547. What England needs to do is win tomorrow's match which is against  Srilanka.

Unfortunately it would not be easy for the English to win that match. Srilanka is struggling with its bowling attack. If they win tomorrow then the permutation & combination will change drastically. I think they shouldn't be worried as they have a good indepth batting line-up and their bowlers have been consistent lately.

How many of you did bet on Pakistan? Odds (@2.26) good but I am sure none of us expected that the match will end up Pakistan defeating South Africa.

Pakistani openers and the middle order failed but their lower order was incredible. They lost 4 wickets in the first five overs but still they came back and batted which none of us might have expected. This is the problem with them they are not at all consistent.

After this win, still it will not be easy for Pakistan to get into the semifinals. The problem is with their NRR. The Indian team will be happy because of South Africa had won this match then they were likely to play against Newzealand in the semifinals.

Yes, it is a lucky day for India as the way Litton Das was going he could have won the match all by himself. Unfortunately his momentum was broken due to the rain and he got runout due to the skiddy field. But, it was in the 7th over that rain started pouring and if given another over before the rain then he might have got out. The reason behind is that all his shorts were risky and just behind the boundary as they were bein played in the powerplay. This match was never meant to upset India but to humiliate Shakib after his statement.

Now it has become pretty much evident that the teams that will play semifinals will be Newzealand, England, Soth Africa and India. I still don't understand what made Shakib say that

" India has come here to win the title. We didn't come here to win the trophy. If we beat India it will be an upset for them."

What made him so overconfident is still a question for me? To me he made himself a twat or someone who accidentally became a captain of a team and has no idea about their performance. A mature and a sensible captain would not have vomitted such a statement infront of the media. After today's defeat this statement will haunt him in the future.

The same applies to you to as you are also not making any sense supporting a spin bowler who has not yet delivered wickets. He is not a batter niether is considered an all rounder but still as Indian team management after the Dhoni era does is to keep those who have experience and lack of form. As an example just wanted to say that It took more than two years for Kholi to get back to the same form where he was on 2019. Some good steps taken by the Indian selectors after Roger Binny was to drop these old hags and start focusing on newbies for 2024.

Indian will lose this match if the rain doesn't stop and DLS is put into place. I hope that doesn't happens as Bangladesh are ahead 17 runs.. Bangladesh opening pair and especially Liton das is on fire. The Indian bowlers are looking helpless at the moment as non of the pacers have been able to capatalize a wicket till now.

After losing from Netherlands I am also pretty much sure that they will face a stiff competition from Ireland. Netherlands did performed good today. Their bowling and fielding were the main reason why they were able to win today. The problem with Zimbabwe is that they are completely dependent on the performance of Sikander Raza.

Somehow I felt at the end overs of today's match that Netherland might bat till the 19th over just get those required 2 runs to win the match. With this loss Zimbabwe are out of the world cup. I was not expecting the Zimbabwean team to lose odds also favoured them.
